Well, there are probably dozens of possible answers based on the nature of the problem, so a little more information would be useful.
Is the WiFi switch greyed out? If so, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
Is the problem with only one network? If so, reboot the router by removing all power from it for about 30 seconds. Even if other devices still work on that router (the router and iPhone may have gotten out of sync on the time remaining on the iPhone's IP address lease).
If the WiFi switch is not greyed out, but the phone doesn't find any networks, go to Settings/General/Reset - Reset network settings.
If that fails, go to Settings/General/Reset - Reset All settings.
And if the problem is not described in this message please provide more information.

Where have you put the static IP.. ? Please post a few screenshots. If this is your public IP just xxx out the last few digits.
Is the DNS and gateway actually correct and working?
Is this a fibre service? You still haven't answered the fundamentals..
The TC will have issues with any setup where the gateway address (what Apple call router) and the IP address are not in the correct subnet. This is a problem that often happens with fibre. Other OS like your computers are not affected, so when plugged in directly work fine.. but the TC is strict.. it must have the network correct or won't work.

Have you done the obvious things to try to fix it: quit Quicktime then start it back up again, log out then back in, reboot.
Edit: Just read one of your later posts. If VLC won't play it, this is unrelated to Quicktime and Flip4Mac. Are you sure these wmv files are okay?

Why can't I use old Airport Express this week after power outage?

After purchasing a new Airport Express station, my older one was also able to work (the older is Model A1084). It connected "under" the tree of the new Express in the new Airport Utility (under OS 10.10.1 Yosemite). I could see the same hierarchy on my iMac and iPhone with the Airport Utility. More importantly, I could stream music to speakers connected to the older Express Station.
But after a power outage last night, I had to turn off all devices. The Wi-fi network is up and running EXCEPT for the older Airport Express. When I try to connect it I get the message "The Airport Express named (Name) cannot be set up by this software. Go to apple.com/support/airport for more informat

Unfortunately no, at least not on the newer OS X versions. Basically since OS X Lion, Apple stopped supporting the older 802.11g AirPort base stations. You would to use either a pre-Lion Mac or a Windows-based PC to administer these older base stations.
2. If it worked two days ago, why would it stop with the power outage?
Not sure how you were able to administer the Express using v6.x of the AirPort Utility before. It shouldn't have been possible.

So explain how you are video chatting using the rear camera? Obviously either A) you cannot see the person you are talking to because you are talking to the back of the phone or B) They cannot see you because you are watching them on your screen on the phone. What is the point of video chatting if you cannot do both A and B above at the same time? Just because Skype makes an inferior app doesn't mean it is worth using on a phone without a forward facing camera. Also my iphone 4S can change to the rear so people can see what I am looking at but most of the time I am facing them chatting. One other thing, facetime on my macbook only has the forward facing camera so I cannot change cameras on it. If you are seeing a trend here it is that you need a forward facing camera to use the phone and a iphone 4 or better. It was one of the selling points of the iphone 4 just like siri was the selling point of the 4s yet it is not on the 4 which is capable of handling it too.
One final thing. There is no 3S. It is a 3GS or a 3G.

Hello. I made the upgrade to Mavericks.
Now I can't get Mac Garageband '11 Version 6.0.5 (428.5) to open a project shared from iTunes iPhone 5 iOS7 (latest version).
I get this message on the Mac:
"This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song".
But there is no newer version.
Any info about the compatibility of the OSX 10.6.8 and iOS7 Garageband? Any idea?

version 10 is the newest version, it is available free from the Mac App store

Why can't I sync my phone with my computer after both the ios7 and Itunes 11.1 updates?

I just recently purchased the new iPhone 5s and have been very happy with it. At the same time I updated my itunes to the newest version 11.1.0.126.
Since the initial syncing, I have been unable to complete the syncing process. It progresses all the way through stalls out on step 5 "Downloading Safe Safari Browising Data". Is there anything i can do to fix this issue?

Which is precisely why I am frustrated with how proprietary Apple is. No matter how much people try to spout out about the superiority of Apple products, my iPhone should be able to grab music from my laptop and my PC at home, both being authorized already. I've already tried home sharing. I didn't buy the iPhone outright, it was provided to me through work. For all the Apple and Mac only fans, I feel this is Apple's way of trying to make me purchase music I have already bought on CD through iTunes. Whatever happened to ease of use? Customer friendly applications? Anyone else dislike how hard it is to add artwork to an album in iTunes after you load a CD and it doesn't recognize it? Track by track? How about offering one simple, convenient copy and paste to album like in Windows? Oh, yeah, so you give up and buy it again in iTunes. I do like the interface on the iPhone or iPod once things are working properly, however the hoops you jump through are ridiculous. I want to load music off of my laptop, after having most of my library on another PC, and it won't work without deleting the library off of the phone. What is the point of authorizing up to 5 computers if you can't use your music from those different machines? There, I'm getting off of my soap box now.

I can see the image from that URL when the toolbar button is sitting in the Customize Palette, but the image disappears when the button is moved to a Toolbar. I think that using a web based image in the UI is a security fault, which Firefox is blocking. Something like that could potentially be used to "track" a user or to count how often that button is clicked.

You are not talking to Apple here... we are all just users like you and have no inside knowledge of why FT is not operable over 3G, except for what Apple has said about the subject. I suspect it's a bandwidth issue.
