Why compilation on  custom .fmb files was needed...???

Hi,
On client site there are two env: 1) development, 2) test.
On Both of them exactly the same EBS version, same patches on the same OS and version is used...
However, on the first env the compilation of custom .fmb files was not needed whereas on the second was needed...!!!!
Can you give a logical explanation...????
Note: the ebs version is 11.5.10, the OS is RHEL 4.6
Thank you,
Sim

They simply appear on a white background... i mean the form fields and the tables (in the case of multi-record blocks) are not distinguished....

  • Customizing JFileChooser (File Size) Need Help

    Can you help me with this. I want to customize my JFileChooser. I'm in a Windows environment so the file view that I see is same with that of the option pane of windows. What I would like to do is make the size that is viewed from the screen from ##KB to specific bytes size. (ex. 34421245). Can someone help me on this. I was able to see some codes on the net but those codes are not straightforward. They override the BasicFileChooserUI. Can someone help me on this. I don't want to override the BasicFileChooserUI instead I want to use the JFileChooser and change the size from ###KB to bytes. Thank you. ^_^

    Hi Rachel,
    My best idea for that is to load the swf files externally, so
    that each page is a different swf. A technique like this would be
    very simple and quick to use, because it only loads what you need
    when you need it.
    For example, you'd set the intro page to load right away, and
    then when you select "At Work" the intro page unloads and is
    replaced by the at work page.
    Another thing you may want to consider is holding the images
    in an xml file, and then using some basic flash/xml intergration to
    load each image as it's called. That way each image isn't stored in
    the flash file causing it to increase in size, and instead is
    actually loaded externally which is must faster.
    There are some great tutorials, if you're intrested, on how
    to do both of these at:
    http://www.kirupa.com/
    Hope I helped some!

    Hi,
    I have tried it, by inserting it before the form compilation code the echo command works , but then while compilation it gives me an error as file not found . This file XXIB_I10_BA_BALEVEL.fmb is existing in the given path . Is it a problem with the userid being given so. As i am able to compile the file individually(During individual compilation i have hard coded the username and password), not through a installlation file . Have even checked the FORMS_PATH even thats right .
    Command used in installation file :
    # +======================================================================+
    echo "------------------------------- " | tee -a $LOG_FILE
    echo "Generating Forms in English ... " | tee -a $LOG_FILE

    Hi,
    I trimmed an audio regin in the audio track edior with "Snap Edits to Zero Crossings" on.
    But I zoom in、the waveform was not ended at Zero point.
    Why?
    In the audio file editork, "Snap Edits to Zero Crossings" option works fine.

    correction needs to be made to step #14, I typed:
    14) Point to the start or end one of the clips, when you see the icon showing arrows going either way, right click and drag your clips to roughly match up with the timeline selection, then zoom in further and adjust the clip start and end points to match up exactly with the timeline selection start and endpoints.
    Here is the correction, THE CORRECTED PARTS ARE CAPITALIZED:
    14) Point to the start or end OF one of the clips, when you see the icon showing arrows going either way, LEFT-CLICK and drag your clips to roughly match up with the timeline selection, then zoom in further and adjust the clip start and end points to match up exactly with the timeline selection's start and end points.
    Another Correction:

  • How to compile and run windows built .fmb file in linux

    Hi,
    I have developer suite 10g installed in windows OS.
    i built a .fmb forms binary file in windows. now i want to compile and deploy this .fmb file into .fmx file in linux and run it.
    I have Oracle Application Server Enterprise version along with Forms/Reports services installed on my linux box.
    Can someone guide how to use my AS Form services in linux to complie and run my .fmb file.
    Thanks in advance,
    Philip.

    is there a easier way or is this the only way to
    compile a .fmb file in a linux machine.Yes, there also a way interactive(not in batch), but you have to need use X-session (GUI) variables DISPLAY
    You can compile module after module if you change $i with you form(FMB) userid
    frmcmp_batch.sh userid=scott/tiger@bs817 batch=no module=$i module_type=form
    compile_all=yes window_state=minimize
    Remember you must set FORMS PATH and ORACLE_HOME/bin where frmcmp_batch is
    Then, run file where you insert frmcmp_batch.sh
    How do i invoke forms builder, forms compiler in a
    linux machine where i have installed Application
    Server Enterprise edition?You don't invoke FORM BUILDER
    (assumption is that the "development" machine is a MS Windows platform and the "deployment" machine is a Unix platform)
    FMX, MMX, and PLX files are NOT portable between platforms. Source code (FMB, MMB, PLL) must be recompiled when moving from one platform to another. This includes moving from one Unix platform to another (i.e. Sun Solaris to Linux) or one Windows platform version to another.
    frmcmp_batch.sh is script that run executable (compiler) for Linux OS
    In Forms 10.1.2.0.2 and newer, the executable and script names are. frmcmp , frmcmp_batch..
    Once all of the executables have been generated the path to these files will need to be included in the Forms deployment environment. In most cases this will be the FORMS90_PATH value in the Forms env file, "default.env"
    I hope to have been clear

  • Compile .fmb file in UNIX with forms 10g

    HI,
    Can someone help me in compiling a .fmb file in UNIX? I have created this .fmb file in Forms 10g.I have Oracle Applications in the Front end. I am unable to figure out the commands to compile the form which generates a .fmx file.
    I have placed the .fmb file in the UNIX directory. As Forms6i has f60gen....and 9i has f90gen...I want to know the code that I must execute in the command prompt of the UNIX server. I am a fresher to this. So please explain in as detail as you can.
    Thanks
    Dev

    if the previous doesn't help
    just put something like this :
    find where the frmcmp.sh is located an put the fully qualified path there
    make also sure you execute it with the right user! (normally oracle)
    I don't know if I already mentioned it bu be aware that you need to have an Xdisplay if your working with frmcmp.sh .
    There is a batch command to I believe that doesn't need the Xdisplay
    Remember you can use any display of any machine
    If you set your display to another hosts screen, type xclock on your prompt and the clock should appear on the others screen.
    If you don't know how to look for the command ....
    If it is in your PATH -->" type frmcmp.sh " will give you the directory
    If not go to <oracle_home> eg /opt/oracle -- > " find . -name frmcmp.sh "

    The qualifying product is the older version that you owned before you purchased the upgrade to version.  It is what qualifies you to use the less expensive upgrade version.  So you need to select the older version and provide its serial number to prove that you qualify for using the upgrade.

    Nothing much. Different formats.
    How to fix?
    Try editing the original file. Resample pics to a lower resolution, check out other graphics, check table borders (eliminate any dotted lines or borders), check font usage. When generating PDF, try Save As (instead of Print > Save As), although I don't expect that'll make much difference.
    Next, open the PDF in Preview, choose File > Save As, choose Format: PDF, Quartz Filterz: Reduce File Size. If that isn't enough, you can use ColorSync Utility to duplicate the Reduce File Size filter, and then edit it for a more aggressive size reduction. But keep in mind that size reduction means lower quality.

    Assuming you registered your older version, you can retrieve the serial number by going to Adobe's site and go into your account. On this page, click the My products link in the right hand column of the first three. You'll be asked to enter your user account name and password. Once in, a list of all software you've purchased will be shown, along with their serial numbers.
    That said, it really won't help you much. A PowerPC only version of InDesign means it's no newer than the original CS version, and won't be worth a cent towards an upgrade discount. To get CS6, you'd have to pay full price again.

  • Need Help using Adobe PDF Converter to programmatically create custom PDF Files

    We are upgrading from Adobe 5 to Adobe 9.  In Adobe 5, we set a few parameters in the __pdf.ini file to create a document with a specific Page Size.  For Example:
    [Acrobat PDFWriter]
    PDFFileName=
    bDocInfo=0
    Orient=1
    bExecViewer=0
    cpmarginwhole=18
    cpwidepart=0
    cpwidewhole=612
    cpheightpart=0
    cpheightwhole=792
    Paper=0
    Since upgrading to Adobe 9.2, this no longer appears to work.  I have also tried adding these values to the following Registry Locations with no luck:
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat PDFWriter
    and
    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\PrinterJobControl
    Is it still possible to create a custom page size using this method?  Or am I going to have to do that in a different way?

    PDFWriter was removed in Acrobat 6 - so anything related to it hasn't worked for a decade now.
    The Adobe PDF Printer is (like many other drivers) a special case of the standard Windows Postscript driver, any changes you make to its settings will be found and used accordingly.  So check with standard Windows docs on custom page sizes.  You should also look at the use of a custom JobOptions file for the Adobe PDFPrinter as well.
