Why do I have to open my docs on my ipad before I can download them on my macbook pro
Hi all
I have just started using iCloud. What I wanted to do is upload some docs and access them on my MacBook Pro later. I did this only to find that I couldent download the docs. Also the docs had a picture of the pages icon on the front. However I could download them on my ios devices. once I did, the pages icon disapeared and instead the document was a icon displaying the preview of the document.
My qusetion is: why do I have to download my docs on my iPad before I can download them on my MacBook Pro?
You can delete email before opening it. Now is a good time to read the manual, which will explain how.

It means you probably haven't entered your credit card information for your account yet. If you want to get free apps without doing this you have to create an Apple ID without a credit card by following this guide exactly: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. Note: you start by downloading and installing any free app, then create the ID.

Read the system requirements for iCloud. It is not compatible with Snow Leopard which your system profile confirms you have.

Any photos you take with your iPad will be added to the iPad's Camera Roll.
If you set up Photo Stream on your iPad, the new photos in the Camera Roll will automatically be added to the Photo Stream.
On your Mac you need iPhoto or Aperture to import the photos from the Photo Stream into a Photo Library. This Photo Stream feature requires OS X Lion v10.7.2 (or later) and iPhoto 9.2 (or later) or Aperture 3.2 (or later).
On your new MacBook Pro you probably have MacOS X 10.8.2 and iPhoto 9.4.2, so the Photo Stream should be available. Have you enabled it in the iCloud settings? And are you using the same Apple ID on both your iPad and your Mac?

I have over 5,000 pictures that I put on my LaCie external HD. When I open the LaCie I can only find some of my images. Where exactly would I find them on my hard drive?
That's a very open-ended question. You say that you put them on the LaCie. What do you mean by that? Did you drag-and drop them onto the LaCie icon or use some other method? If you put them on the LaCie then they will be right where you left them unless the drive is failing. Have you seen all the pictures there in the past and they are gone now?
To correct any problems the drive is having:
1) Click "Applications" > "Utilities" > "Disk Utility"
2) Select your LacCe's name on the left sidebar
3) Click "Repair Disk" button (lower right).
If there are minor problems then Disk Utility will repair them. If it lists major problems with the disk then you may need a more advanced repair utility like DiskWarrior.

I just downloaded the new version of itunes to my computer. Now I cannot load my ringtones that I have made from garage band on my iphone to my itunes library to save them on my iphone. Anyone know how to do this yet on the new itunes?

.I recently bought a Mac book Pro and I was starting to set up my Hotmail e-mail on my mail app. But when I set the e-mail on the app I did not receive any message although I could send messages out. I had a mac air and when I set up the e-mail, I received mail with no problem. Why am I not receiving mails on my Mac Pro?

After downloading Maverick on the MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011, I am unable to open iPhoto. The message says "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. You have "iPhoto" 9.2.3" What??? That is ridiculous. Why doesn't Maverick download everything? I've tried the "fixes" I found on this forum, but none of them work for me, because there is no workaround via the library. I can't access the library.
I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

When I forward an email from my Mac Mail, the body of the email I just forwarded shows as an attachment in the recipients outlook. Is there a way to change this so my clients don't have to open an attachment to read something that I forwarded to them?
Open Terminal in Utilties and copy/paste
This will send the attachment embedded inline. (This works in Snow Leopard, but not sure about Lion. Do a test first. If it doesn't work, just google "send attachment embedded + Lion." You don't actually have to send the message to see how it will appear.)

To reverse the setting, change the 0 to a 1
However, whether this will work or not will depend on what the e-mail client on the receiver's end does with it. -
It seems that anytime I hit the tab key on a web page with a form, like to move the cursor between first name and last name for example a message appears at the top of the web page display area that says "at least 2 windows have to be opened before you can merge them".
I have to assume this is the result of an add-on or option change I've made but I cannot find it. If anyone has any idea what might be causing this behavior I would really appreciate any help resolving it.

everytime i want to restore my previews backup to my new iphone, itunes asks for my password, when i enter my password it tells me my password is incorrect, but its not! i have even changed my password. but still nothing! I get the same error from it
