Why do I have to verify

Why do I have to verify each time I log into my itunes account? Al it does is have me type in the three digits on the back of the card but I can't understand why it does not save this information like all the rest. Can someone help

Here it's what I can see when I try to "verify" my iTunes account.
It's written in Italian, but it's clear that there is no None option....
Last week a friend created a new account on the iTunes Store and AppStore and I could see the None Option as you showed in the picture you uploaded, but this seems not to be my case!!
Do you know if there is a way to delete my account so that I could try to create a new one witht he same email address?
Thank you!

I am trying to purchase music using my credit from an i-tunes card but it keeps trying to get me to verify payment information.  Does this mean that I should have kept i-tunes card?
    Thx

I have the same issue, but in my case it will not let me change the payment method to None without entering a valid credit card. I used a prepaid card a while ago  and I don't have a credit card so how do I change my payment method if it "requires" me to have a valid credit card first?

  • Why do I have to verify an account?

Okay I just got an iPhone 4S today and I went to download something from the store from my ALREADY CREATED ACCOUNT and its telling me that I need to verify the account first. Well when I put in my password, it says its invalid! How can my account be invalid?! Then I went into the iTunes Store and clicked on Account and tried to change my email address and it wants me to create a whole new apple ID now! I don't understand this!!

This most likely means you have a 2nd AppleID that has this same email address listed as an alternate email address for it.
    Manage Your Account at
    http://appleid.apple.com
Check to see if any of your other email addresses or AppleIDs and family members email addresses or AppleIDs have your main email account associated with it as an alternate email… because if they do, it won't send the verification email since it's already verified to another account.
You may need to change your email account to a 3rd or 4th one to disassociate it with this one first; then on the Apple ID website there's a section that says: Not Sure if you have an Apple ID? Find Out >
This will help you find the name on the other account and if you cannot get in to that account you should be able to receive a password reset to it.

If you cannot find the account you can try emailing iTunes and/or call Apple and check if they can find the account that is still associated with the email address you are trying to use for this.

why do I keep getting emails saying my iTunes account will be disable in 48 hours if I do not validate my account?  or that I have to verify the email associated with my iTune acccount?

Because someone's trying to mislead you into giving them your iTunes Store login information. Forward all such emails to [email protected] and then delete them.
If there's an actual problem with your iTunes Store account, you'll be told at the time you try to purchase or download something.

  • Why do I have to remove VI from SubPanel?

    LV 2013, Win7
I have a program where a menu item can open or close a particular window.
That window is large, contains 72 SubPanels, each SubPanel contains a single instance of a reentrant VI (called the BLOCK VI).
I have a LARGE memory leak (about 100 MBytes ) each time the window opens and closes.  I'm using the Windows function WORKING SET SIZE to judge memory usage.
In chasing this, I have put a DIAGRAM DISABLE around the entite block diagram of the BLOCK VI.  That means it cannot allocate anything in code.
    The problem still exists.
I seem to have found the problem, but I don't understand why - it seems to contradict the HELP.
The HELP text for INSERT VI into a SubPanel says this:
I interpret that highlighted part as meaning when my Window VI stops, the VIs will be REMOVED automatically (They have been stopped before).
But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Here is the Memory usage before I discovered the removal angle.  I Open and close the window 4 times:
If I REMOVE the VI myself, then here's what it looks like:
--- That's more like I would expect - whatever it uses when open, it gives back when closed.
I have verified it's a real problem - I have a stress test to cycle the open/close operation, and it eventually dies with a MEMORY FULL message.
    So, here's the code:
There is a tab control with 12 pages on it.  Each page has nothing but six SubPanels on it.
So, I collect those 72 SubPanel references.
For performance reasons, I pick out the page that is showing (set from the last time the user closed it), and launch the blocks for that page first.
I then bring up the window's front panel, and then launch the blocks that are not showing, so that they are ready to go if the user switches tabs.
Here is the LAUNCH BLOCKS code:
I convert the generic ref to a SubPanel Ref, open a CALL and COLLECT reference to the BLOCK VI, and insert the VI, then RUN the BLOCK VI instance.
    No errors occur here.
When I CLOSE the window, here's what happens:
The instances of the BLOCK VI have already been told to quit (for this test, they are entirely disabled anyway, so do not run).
I WAIT ON ASYNCH CALL for each one (I don't really need to collect anything, but I need to wait on them quitting.  I've been going back and forth between C&C and other methods of doing that.
It's that REMOVE VI part that I DISABLED and ENABLED to produce the mem usage graphs above.  Originally I didn't have it, but I tried and it seems to solve the problem.
But why?  The help says that I don't need it.  After this code, the window VI quits, so they should be removed automatically.
But yet the memory piles up...
     QUESTIONS:
1.. Why do I have to REMOVE the VI?
2... Does it matter if I RUN the VI before INSERTING, or INSERT before RUNNING?

I would say that the help is poorly phrased. It's quite easy to demonstrate that the when a VI stops running, the VIs in its subpanels are not removed automatically (see the example). I'm assuming that what was meant here is "until the VI that contains the SP goes idle or out of scope", which is not how most people would interpet "stop". As long as the VI stays in run mode, even if it's not actually running, the FP stays in the SP unless you remove it.
This is the behavior you're seeing and it explains the memory issues. Since you're not removing the FPs, they are apparently staying open, thus making your close ref a no-op, and since you then keep going, they're apparently staying open in the background. This is a guess. I haven't checked it, but it seems to match what you're describing.
And no, I don't think the order of the operations matters, but I would suggest running the VI before inserting, to avoid a case where you have a non-running VI visible.
Try to take over the world!

  • Verizon's failure, why do I have to pay?

As a long-time - and still current - customer of Verizon, I'm shocked at how poorly I am being treated. I cancelled my phone in December because my company gave me a phone (also Verizon). At that time I gave Verizon my new mailing address, email, and phone number- which they did not update in their system. So they continued to mail my final bill to my old address, which never made it to me, until now.
They did not email, they did not call; they instead sent the bill to collections. I called Verizon and paid the outstanding bill, come to find out after the fact that I am also required to pay the fee for collections. They, however, did not tell me this at the time I made my payment (another mistake by Verizon), I was informed by the collection agency that I am required to pay them or my credit report will be negatively affected. Verizon dropped the ball. They did not send the bill to the right address, they did not call, they did not email. The sent it to collections.
Of course no one at Verizon will work with me, a good customer. I'm waiting for someone's supervisor to call, yet I have little faith that they will give a crap about little ol' me. I just want Verizon to take some accountability for their shortcomings in this situation. Why do I have to pay for their mistake? What more should I have done? This is unfair.

I verified my information over the phone with a customer service representative when I called to cancel my account. I'm not sure how I could have verified that they properly put this into the system, other than getting verbal confirmation - which I did. They got the new email address correct, I know this because when I called this week to settle my bill, I received a confirmation to the correct email address. However, the mailing address apparently was not updated properly - as per my request - in the system. If you go into MyVerizon under Account Profile, your billing address is listed along with the option to change it. By making changes to your account, you have real time confirmation of the changes. - So you're saying not to trust the customer service representatives? I'm required to make sure they do simple tasks properly? Besides, I was canceling my account - why would I then go online to change my account that I just cancelled - especially since I just verbally gave my new information? Again, the root of this issue that you are not responding to goes back to the fact that the customer service representative did not do as I requested and update my address - which is why I never received notification. Had this been done properly, none of this would have happened.
I just received a pile of mail from the post office of mail that did not get transferred to my new address - of which included the bill from Verizon and the notification from collections. I had assumed that the lack of correspondence - via mail, email and phone - from Verizon meant that my account was settled. Personally, I don't make it a habit of calling businesses and asking them if I owe them money. I expect them to contact me. Unless you sign up for email notifications from Verizon for you bill, they will not send it via that method. It appears that they DID try to contact you when they sent the bill to your old address. It also appears that you failed to use a FREE service from the US Postal Service which forwards your mail to a new address for up to a year. I have done this in the past, it works and only delays mail for a few days. Plenty of time to get your final bill in time for payment without being overdue. I can understand not contacting businesses to see if you owe them money, but you cancelled service. If I were to cancel service, I would assume that I either owed money or due a refund and would make sure which it was. - I was set up to receive email notifications from Verizon - a service I used for that account for years.  I did have my mail forwarded through the post office, but some was still delivered to the old address anyway and it just made it's way to me now. Verizon's lack of contact with me lead me to believe that either 1)the account was settled, or 2)any remaining balance was transferred to my new account - which I do not see the bill for as my company pays for it.
Why would Verizon not try to contact me via email or phone? Sending an overdue bill to collections is a big deal - it affects my credit report. Does Verizon care so little about it's customers that they wouldn't even try to contact by email before making such a drastic move?Even if simply to verify the mailing address? This seems to be as much your failing(if not more) as it is Verizon's failing. As you say, it is YOUR credit report, not Verizon's. You have more of a stake in this than they do, why wouldn't you follow up in this matter? Even if simply to verify the mailing address? - Again, going back to the root of this issue - CUSTOMER SERVICE. I should be able to expect that if I tell someone my new address, it will be reflected in the system. I should be able to assume that I would be notified by email for a matter like this, especially since they have my email and have permission to use it and had been using it for years to notify me of bills, why stop now? Why is the buck passed to me to pay this new fee for a mistake that originated with Verizon? Why can't Verizon admit any wrong doing at the root of this issue - where they dropped the ball?

  • HT4972 why dont I have an update facility on my ipad

Why dont I have an update facility on my ipad

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 7.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
    To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
    Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Why did i have to change my questions to purchase?

For the last two purchase I made on ITunes, it has requested that I answer three questions that I chose.  Why?  Is this something new, or do I have to verify who I am before I make a purchase now?

    Hi MrDva,
I agree with you. it's asinine that we can't choose our own questions. For exaple who is going to remember the answer to "Where were you on January 1, 2000?"

    Hope this helps.

  • Why do I have to answer security questions

Why do I have to answer security questions? I made this account like 3 years ago and i dont remember the answers

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Why am i asked to verify payment to rent a movie when i am in credit

    Hi Forest
Wisdom - No - but I like to speculate.
When You set Your iDVD to make a new copy of it's DVD scrip, in my mind there
are lot's of going on's in the background not visible to the user. These doings
should have to be noted somewhere eg. temp. files (not visible to user).
I think iDVD then notes this new info and can't differ that from adjustments
done by the user and so to be on the safe side - Why not back-up ??
    Want to save this ??
This expose no true knowledg but more how my own brain handles this.
