Why do i lose my session in apex 4.1 when viewing (public) page in iframe?

Hi,
When i view another apex page in an iframe from my current page using "0" session or leaving the session blank (new session) , i will lose my session and i am redirected to the login page.
This doesn't seem right?
Is there a workaround for this behaviour as this is really messing up the functionality of my application.
In 4.0 everything was working fine.

Hi behteam,
the only workaround which would come into my mind would be to
1) put the pages you call in your iFrame into a separate application
2) Go to shared components > authentication and specify a unique name for the cookie name
This will make sure that your main application and your lookup application will use different session cookies and will not overwrite each other when a new session is created.
Question: Why don't you include all the necessary page items into the URL when you call the page in the iframe, so that a refresh will set the correct session state again?

Inspector is showing you the source after it's been modified by Javascript and such.
To see the same thing in the source viewer, press '''Ctrl+A''' to select everything on the page, then right-click the selection and choose '''View Selection Source'''.

Everytime my imac wakes from sleep I lose internet connection and have to go into network and reconnect. I am using OS X Mountain Lion software. Please help!

Why do i lose the audio of my Timeline movie when i import back into ImovieHD?

I lost everything of my Imovie project but the Imovie Timeline clip, so i wanted to salvage all my edits and imported the clip into Imovie to try and use it and there is no sound. There is sound when I play it in Itunes or Quicktime. Is there any way I can find the sound in Imovie? Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. To get the exported files to have the same file name as the edited titles in iPhoto you must use the "Use Title" option when you're exporting. That will give you the file names that you want.

How to create several DB sessions, in ApEx 3.0

Hi, I need more than one DB session in ApEx 3.0.
When I used ApEx 2.2 I can changed using dads parameter: PlsqlMaxRequestsPerSession.
Now it doesn't work. I set it 1000, and when I test it in 3 computers, adding data in temporary table, i can see the same information in each computer.

I got a similar situation in my application.I dont know whether the solution was suitable for u.
what i did was
1.created a tabular form for the (master table) so that the user can create mutiple records.
2.Created another tabular form for the (detail table).This one is a manual tabular form.And i made the (detail tabular form as a conditional display for the selected master tabular form).
But in my case my tables has just 5-6 columns thats why i have managed with the tabular forms.If the table has more columns u cant do this using tabular forms.

check the APEX_UTIL Package, there you'll find functions like clear_page_cache, clear_user_cache, clear_app_cache.
This could be what you are looking for.

Clarification:
I believe now you potentially lose all extensions, plug-ins when you use the new reset function, but you will let me know.
If that is the case, your find corrupt file method maybe better. However, I reviewed the two help articles and there appear to be more files than just the delete search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder. I am confused. Then I have to find the folders. I think help articles mentioned how to find the profile containing the files, but not sure.

Simulating someone else's session in APEX

Hi,
Just curious if someone has successfully implemented simulating someone else's session in APEX. For example:
Admin logs into their account as user: Admin
Regular user, Bob, calls up and says that he's having problems viewing a report etc...
Admin then goes to the admin section of the application, and clicks on "run application as: " and selects Bob
Admin can then run the entire application "as Bob" (so that he's viewing bob's data) to help debug the problem.
If you have, have you been able to also view the other user's custom interactive reports etc?

This way the end user password remains private, and members of the development team (or other users for that matter) can’t impersonate to be that user. Auditing is also remaining intact.

Why do I lose type effects on my printed page such as emboss, bevel and drop shaodow (in Photoshop CS6) when I save my file as a jpeg or pdf?

Most likely you simply have your printing/ PDF options set to not rasterize non-vector data and since al lthese effects are pixel-based, you simply lose them. Just enable that option and everything should be fine.

Any new text layers disapear also as soon as the 3d box is checked. Solid layers do likewise. The text is available in fast draft mode but is not present in a final render.
Adussting the number of "rays" makes no difference.
No one else seems to be having this problem with ther macbook pro with retina ( on internet).
What silly mistake am I making???????????
If I start the project in CPU ray trace all is fine. If after the problem develops in GPU I change back to CPU I DONT get them back!!!!!
I just reset the AE preferences - no help.

Resolution means nothing on the web. Most browsers render images at 72 dpi (slightly higher on some mobile devices).
What matters on the web is the number of pixels contained in the image (i.e. 500px wide x 325px high) and the file type used to save it (PNG, JPG or GIF).

Why is my Safari browsing session not continuing on my iPhone from my MacBook Pro? I thought this was a feature of Mountain Lion or do I need to change some settings?

To synce iMessages with iOS and OSX, you need to not only have a well setup contacts card (both their apple id email and their iphone phone number in one card) you will need to setup your apple id on your phone. Your friend will also need to do the same thing on their phone, however you are able to send messages to phone numbers, they do not sync with OSX and will not show up on, say an iPad. This will be fixed once iOS 6 comes out, or at least that's what the keynote and WWDC 2012 said
In iOS go to settings>Messages receive at and sign in with your apple id you use for iMessages. (make sure you are only using one apple id, I know it lets you use multiple ones, but it works best with one).
now that your iOS device and your OSX device have the same apple id email tied to imessages, have a friend send you a message or send one to your friend and when they reply back it should all sync.
A catch, as of now, with iOS 6 not out, there is no way to sync iMessages made with your phone number and OSX. So some of your text messages may only appear on your phone until you respond.
once you respond, you've responded with you apple id.
if they respond to that message specifically then the chat will sync between all devices.
if your friend says that they have two text messages open for you, tell them that they have to add your apple id to the contact card they have for you, and then delete both messages. Now it'll sync in one message box.
The same is true with other chat accounts and your contact cards in Messages.app on OSX
Think of Contacts.app as the new buddy list...
