Why do the new playlists not sync?

My Nano syncs are not updating the 2 new playlists I created. The playlists are visible, and full of content in iTunes, but after syncing, they don't show up on the Nano. What am I doing wrong?

New maps with some problems. I am sure updates will come.  I am I the US so I am not having problems. You can use goggle apps in safari until goggle comes out with an app

  • Why does the iphone 5 not sync the correct artwork to songs.

Why does the iphone 5 not sync the correct artwork to songs. All the artwork is correct in the itunes 11 library, but when sync'd the iphone arbittary chooses what it wants

My guess is you are using iTunes Match.
iTunes Match is a great feature, but I suggest keeping it on only on your computer.  Turn iTunes Match off on your iPhone at Settings > Music > iTunes Match.  Then sync your iPhone and you should get all the artwork.  You may have to sync two or three times to get it all after turning off iTunes Match.

  • Why does the new version not have back-up disc in the library file? And how do I fix it?

Why does the new version of i-tunes not have back-up to disc in the library file? And how do I fix it?

Fast backup for iTunes library  (Windows)
Grab SyncToy  2.1, a free tool from MS. This can be used to copy your entire iTunes library (& other important data folders) onto another hard drive or network share. You can then use SyncToy periodically to synchronise or echo your library to the backup. A preview will show which files need to be updated giving you a chance to spot unexpected changes and during the run only the new or updated files will be copied saving lots of time.
If your media is all organised below the main iTunes folder then you should also be able to open the backup library on any system running the same version of iTunes, regardless of the drive letter or path it appears on.

  • Why will my new iphone4 not sync with the latest version of itunes?

Hello. I have just purchased the iphone4. I have duly upgraded my Windows Vista Toshiba laptop itunes to the latest version 10.2.2
The upgrade appears to have been successful, and so I connected my iphone4 into my laptop. itunes still logs on ok and to the new version, but I get the following error with regards to the sync to my iphone..
"ITunes requires a new version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again" How can this be? I have just upgraded to the very latest itunes, and this is my first Apple mobile device so no previous versions are applicable!!
    Any help gratefully appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

You might get a better response if you post in the iTunes for Windows forum, as this sounds strictly like an iTunes issue. (Some people only watch the forums they know best)

  • On-The-Go Playlists not syncing correctly

    Hi all,
I have the 4G iPod with b/w screen, and my music library is on a relatively new Windows PC. I have had only very minor syncing problems besides this one. I always update iTunes and my iPod software to the latest versions.
When I create an On-The-Go Playlist on my iPod and sync it to iTunes, the playlist shows up correctly as "On-The-Go 1", "On-The-Go2", etc... but the songs in the playlist do not match what I added by holding the select button on my iPod. The playlist includes some of the right songs, but others are seemingly randomly placed in it, including podcasts.
The amount of songs in the original playlist don't match up with the synced version. I am positive that I'm not accidentally pressing any buttons.
I thought that this was a problem with the iPod's "index" of where the songs are stored in it and that simply restoring the iPod would fix the problem, but that didn't work. I don't really want to rebuild my iTunes library but I guess I'd have to if that was the solution. I am currently running a HDD scan from the iPod's "secret" diagnostic menu and will report back with the results. I am also planning to take the iPod in to my nearest Apple Store for a look.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any information you could possibly posess that would even remotely relate to this subject.

    Re: On-The-Go Playlists and Podcasts
    * Problem:
o When an On-The-Go Playlist is created and the iPod is synced, random podcast episodes are put in the playlist. The episodes occur in both the iTunes and iPod versions, but only after the iPod is synced.
o When the iPod is connected and selected from the iTunes Source list, the podcast episodes are listed along with the grayed out songs, but they aren’t in the iTunes song list.
    * Solution:
o Whenever new podcast episodes are downloaded, delete all information in the ID3 tags except for title and comment, if used. To view ID3 information, right click the podcast header or a specific episode and select “Get Info”.

  • Why do the new earphones not work with 1st Generation iPod touch?

Does the 1st generation iPod touch not "recognise" [recognize if you are American] these functions? I am talking about the microphone and the button on the new earphones.

    Ray2104 wrote:
Then why don't apple make ear phones with microphone which the 1st gen itouch will recognised...
Because the Touch is primarily a music player, that is what I purchased and I'm quite satisfied with it as it is.
I'm so fed up of the way Apple Market...
What are their plans for their consumers... to
    to keep buying new Ipods?!?!?!
Err...Yes! Welcome to the real world.
3G Iphone was released shortly after the Iphone...
why couldnt they make us wait longer...and get the 3G
You still don't understand this commercial world do you?
same with Ipod Touch... yes i Understand new Gen ipods...would have better features...
Let's all wait a hundred years when they bring out the the brain implants...
But hey wats up with making us fall with Apple...we like the designs, the features...but why then bring in new ones that apple know will not let our old ipods adapt to it.
You like the design, you buy it, enjoy what you have and don't get so jealous.
Sick of Apple... they do it on purpose... I guarantee...
    No way?!
the new Iphone to realease next year....would be Iphone 8.0 mega pixels camera video recording....either way...they would make their customers regret for buying their old Iphones and Ipods...
If so, then I might buy one, but then I wouldn't moan if a better one was released six months later.
4 now, do something about the new ear head phones....cos apart of app store and applications...we want to be ablt to use microphones...to communicate on social networking...and voice memos...
This maybe because the hardware is simply incompatible, they cannot cover every eventuality, had they done so the Touch would have been more expensive and I would not have bought one.
Technology moves on, fact. I you don't feel Apple are playing fair then just avoid their products, that'll learn 'em.

  • Why does the new Quicktime NOT play my old MOV files?

    Hi Folks.
I'm using the lasted updated Yosemite on a 3-year old iMac.
Back in my early iMac days (3 years ago), I imported my camcorder's AVCHD files
into iMove or Final Cut Express and converted them to Quicktime MOV files.
Turns out they were rendered by Apple or Final Cut into MOV files using the
Apple Intermediate codec.  I had no choice over this.
Until I upgraded to Yosemite, I was able to preview any of these movies
very easily in the Finder.  Simply highlight the movie, press the spacebar,
and it opens, in a real-time, real-size screen, with a simple play-pause button
in the progress bar at the bottom.  Never had a problem with any previous
    Mac OS.
Now when I click on the file in the finder, instead of a movie preview, I get a
big, silent QT "Mov" icon that just sits there looking silly.
I double click it to open it up in Quicktime, and it attempts to go through this
lengthy conversion process, taking at least as long as the movie is in minutes,
then asking me if I want to save this new "converted" version.
Fortunately, I have an old version of Quicktime 7 on my Mac, and QT 7 opens it
and plays it no problem.  No "conversion" necessary.  No cumbersome and
space-hogging needs to create a "cloned" copy, just so the new, lame version
    of Quicktime can play it.
What's up, Apple?  AIC was YOUR codec that YOUR SOFTWARE chose to
transcode into.  Now, your new Quicktime does NOT support this codec?
And your old version does?  And why might THAT be?
Really, this is so elementary.  This is not rocket science.  Just like JPG images
not displaying properly in Mac Mail now.  It begs the question "why" ...?
I mean, for the elementary preview abilities that always made Mac such a
friendly computer ... *uh* ... where is that?
And here we go, wasting hours of time, looking for fixes that should not
    have to be "fixed"...
Did I miss something?  Or did you?

Aeclay: here's a couple of ideas.  And an answer to your earlier post.
Basically two options to work with here:
Store the files as native AVCHD files... OR
    Convert the files to Quicktime
I keep two archives of my AVCHD recordings, partly for backup, and partly for Sony's ability to archive nicely in it's own native format on it's PC-friendly utility called "PMB".  (came wtih both my NEX and ALPHA cameras).   I have an old PC that I use for my complete archive; Sony's PMB utility works only on PC's and will do a good job both of archiving, providing a thumbnail database, and re-writing your choice to removable media in it's typical Sony hierarchy.
If you've only got Mac's, you can still archive your AVCHD recordings; copy them to folders named or organized to your own spec's.   AVCHD is a high-quality compression format, and they'll take up way less disk space than converted Quicktime MOV files.   You can open and play all AVCHD movies quite easily with VLC player.
The only extra trick to be aware of here is this.  The only reason you would need to preserve the intact "sony" folders (named "AVCHD" / "BMDV" etc) is is you were using Adobe Premiere as a video editor.  Somehow, it needs the hierarchical folder stuff in place to properly index the files.  Not mandatory, but helpful if  you are a Premiere user.  Otherwise, forget the weird "package" folders; just right-click (ctrl-click) on them, choose "view package contents" and MOVE the MTS files out of the Sony hierarchy for permanent storage.  Use VLC player to open and view them.
From that point on,  you have control over how you manage the files and what intermediate or end-user format you convert them to for your own use.
I'm not clear on your other question about the files that add the word "converted" on.  Of course Mac will convert to Quicktime MOV files.  Not sure what codec they're using now, likely H.264.  Anyway, don't bother converting.  It'll take up a lot of time and waste a lot of disk space.
ps. I just found this free utility on the internet.  It's called "MTS CONVERTER". I have not tried it, but it claims to be able to convert all AVCHD files to various useable formats.
Good luck!  (and happy Valentine's Day!)

  • Why does the new itunes not pull up my iphone when connected to the computer?

I just downloaded the new Itunes 11 on my computer and when i plug my phone in it does not bring it up in itunes. it was trying to bring it up in real player so i uninstalled that and it still wont show in itunes. i have restarted my computer and phone multiple times as well ad uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and nothing is working.

Thanks for your input but as i have said it is a Motorola V3i (The i means itunes compatable). I have uninstalled and re-installed every old version of itunes there is and it works perfect from itunes 5 up to itunes 9 then it goes wrong and does not recognise my device allowing me to sync. I am happy with itunes 9 but it will not allow me to keep it without updating it to itunes 11. The phone is recognised by the comp and appears in devices. Any further ideas will be welcome. Thanks

  • Why is the Kuler panel not syncing in Illustrator CC?

I love using the Kuler panel in illustrator but I downloded the new CC version and my color panel will not load my themes or allow me to browse other Kuler sets.  Here is what I am seeing:
Then when I click on the Download My Themes button I get this:
Now I know I am not offline becasue I can still go on to the Kuler website and get themes  and my login apears in the box above the Download button.
So how do I browse themse and get them in to Illustrator with in the application?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Sorry if this sounds like something you've already checked, but I need to ask - is your Adobe ID and the credential to enter the Kuler website the same? If they are, you should be able to browse your themes, and the public themes that you have liked.
Nevertheless, I'm checking with the team if there is anything else that could cause Illustrator CC to not download your themes and show you that error message.
    Cheers,
    David

  • Why is the new update not available for iPhone 3g?

My iPhone has not had an update for months, yet the new operating system is available for all models except mine!
Is it going to become available?

    no never
same deal with my ipod touch 1g
it's at the end of the line
but the fact that they will never get updates again does
not change the function they provide right now
older ios hardware cant handle the newer fimrware updates
even many iphone 3gs people are complain that ios5 is running slowly and wish to downgrade

  • HT5868 Why does the new iOS not trust linux computers?

I tried to connect the iphone 4s to my linux machine that normally works.
Since my last iOS upgrade the quesdtion comes up to TRUST the computer.
I press TRUST but it does not work. However it does work on my Mac computer.
Is it that the new OS only trusts Apple computers?

No, your Linux machine does not produce the proper response to the phone.  Until someone on the Linux side reverse-engineers what AppleMobieDeviceSupport does when presented with that response, trust is not possible.
This is a security change in response to the fact that previously the iPhone would open itself up to any USB connection as soon as it was plugged in, and that connection could do whatever it liked, be it benign or malicious.

  • On-the-go playlists not syncing despite latest versions software

The subject says it all, really.
I have an 8GB ipod touch, with software version 2.0.1, and iTunes version 7.7.1 (on Vista, I should add)
I've read all the archived posts, and the solution seems to be to upgrate to the lastest software, but that was quite a few versions ago, and my ipod has NEVER sync'ed my on-the-go playlists.
I've also tried the turn it off and turn it on again trick to save the playlist, and nothing.
I manage my music in manual.
Does anyone have anything I could try to sort this out?

Oooh I wish I could help, but upgrading from 1.1.4 to 2.0 actually did fix this issue for me. Something happened when I did the January Upgrade that totally jacked up my ability to sync OTG playlists - made me so mad. When I upgraded to 2.0, they started syncing again. I always attributed the mess to playing around w/ the manual vs auto syncing when I was trying to get the January Upgrade on without having to restore.
And I hate to recommend this, because I hate the idea of restoring, but have you tried clearing it off, or restoring without a backup, and starting fresh? That's a poor way of fixing it, but that is my only recommendation

  • Why does the new update not recognize my new charger that i bought for my iphone ? it worked before but not anymore !!!

i recently bought a new charger 2 months ago at best buy . (black friday sale) ! it worked so perfectly fine until today . i guess it's the new update ?! i don't really like it because the charger is a really good one . my warranty expired in december , and my charger burnt out like the other two chargers i had    ....

Apple tried making it so iOS only allows "made for iPhone devices". You will have to get a different cable in order for it to work again.
If you need just the USB section of it, amazon sells a nice cable, for a few bucks less than apple and it is a lot better made.
