Why does my ipod need to have the newest os to allow games that won't go on it now but where on it before?

I have an Ipod touch (prob 1st or 2nd gen) that used to have a bunch of free games on for my kids and I upgraded to the newest os (so I could use Netflix) and when I did, the games had to be reinstalled. But when I go to install previously enjoyed (and previously working) games... they won't because the device says I need os 4.3 for the game. This seems like a scam to me!!!!
How do I get the old games back? and why isn't there compatibility with games I know worked on the ipod before?

Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

I dunno, that doesn't make any sense to me.
I just shut down and rebooted into the SnowLeopard partition and took a peek at the preference panes. There are only 3 that run in 32 bit only. They are all 3rd party, and none of the prefpanes are non Intel. Like I said, I have never owned a PPC machine. Anyhow, SnowLeopard doesn't even have an iCloud prefpane, or a combined mail, contacts, and calenders prefpane, and the ML security and privacy prefpane is all new as well. The software update prefpane is Intel and 64 bit in both SnowLeopard and Lion.
As to the triple boot, unless I'm totally mistaken, what I have here is, in essence, 3 seperate descrete computers in one box. All using the same hardware. but one at a time. I wouldn't know how to get more than one running at the same time, without using a virtual machine, even if I wanted to. (Which I don't) I do sometimes transfer files from one to another using the shared folder, but other than that, they do not interact. How could ML system preferences be trying to launch prefpanes from a totally different machine?

Why does my iPod 4th generation say the certificate for this server is invalid when trying to access iTunes? I've never had an issue until this recently.

I have never had an issue until recently that won't allow me to go onto the App Store or iTunes on my iPod touch 4th gen. It says the certificate for this server is invalid. Then it says, you might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be iTunes.apple.com which could put your confidential information at risk. How can I fix this so I can access iTunes and the App Store from my iPod again?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

If you have a 3G iPod it may really be a 2G iPod. If it is 8 or 16 GB it is a 2G iPod. Apple only made 32 and 64 GB 3G iPods. A 32 GB one can be either. To identify ours see:

I owe one iPod and brought another today, and I just set up the other one. They're both the same model - iPod touch 8GB - and I've set the second one up. I've had the first one for some time, about an year, and I only bought another for a family member. I was wondering why do we need to share the same library and how can we change it. Help would be welcomed since we really like different kind of genres and we disagree on them, so we really really want to change this. I can't even say how much we need to change the setting. Sherlocked, There are a few ways you can solve that problem.
If you do want to share the same library, use the capabililty to "Sync Selected Playlists," so that each iPod will only get the music that its owner wants.
Alternatively, you can set up two separate libraries. This is easiest if you use two different Windows user IDs on the computer. Then each iPod owner can sync to his own library.

Why does my iPod Touch keep changing the date and year?

Whenever I charge my iPod Touch after it completely dies, Safari never loads whatever site I'm trying to go on and the date always goes to Thursday, January 1st, 1970. I noticed the time always changes as well. i.e. it's 10:47am now and the time on the iPod says 5:35am. I don't know how or why it keeps doing this. I didn't mind it the first 2 times, but this keeps happening everytime I turn it on. Does anyone else's do this??

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset

Are you using the headphone/mic? If so sometimes sweat/moisture in the controls can make the iPod do strange things.

If les than a year old, the Apple warranty still covers it.

I was just wondering why I don't have the option with bios 1.8 in my k8n neo2 platinum to run 1T command rate? I use it with memtest+ and a64tweaker and it works fine.. I just want to turn it on without software..

look around some more on the forum, there have been some BIOS betas released and can be studied about that may help you if you need a fix now... I know were alll eagerly awaiting aBIOS that will enable dual core for Neo 2 plat, at least I am, but then again I don;t KNOW for sure you'll have too do some research

Why does my iPod say I have 352 photos where I only have 24

Ok so I just relaxed my iPod touch because my last one broke. Everything has been covered with iCloud, so I have everything I had before...accept for most of my photos. I had about 325 photos and ipthey are in photo stream (my iPad and iPod share the same photos) and I only received 24 pf them. The thing that ****** me off is that with the 24 photos I have it still says I have the photos I had before and it's making a lot of space on my iPod. All in all how can I get the old photos back?

I managed to get rid of the phantom usage. Restoring iPhone and resetting the phone settings/data do not work for me.
I had to move the Date on my phone earlier by 1,2,3 months and found the phantom photos in the Recently Deleted Folder. Next, I deleted the photos manually from the Recently Deleted Folder and the usage got freed up from my iPhone.

Why does my ipod disconnect me from the internet at a certain time every night?

Every night at 9 pm my Ipod disconnects me from every app that requires internet. It says I am still connected to the internet but I still can't access my apps. I'm not sure what time it reconnects me in the morning. My Ipod had not been doing this until I got the latest update. I'm not sure if there is anything I can do to change this but if there is I would like to. I have gone through my Ipod and there are no restrictions set that I have noticed.

Maybe your Internet Service Provider shuts down some server at 9pm every day.
