My school requires us to have an iPad and wants us to install this provisioning profile. What does the profile do and is it going to mess up my iPad? Will they even need this in ios 6 ?

Do you have gfxCardStatus installed? Is your monitor set to "Integrated" or "Discrete". You want it set to Discrete to drive the external HDMI display.

Do you have another HDMI display you can test against (your neighbor's HDMI capable TV).

Photos on the ipad should take up little more space than It does on The iPhone because of the screen resolutions size.
Keep in mind If the photos are being stored on the device by Photo stream they will Take up less Space or if The photo Are being store by itunes syncing they may take up a little more.

The latest version is 9.3.1 and it's been out for a little while now.
Your update didn't go right, or it would recognize the latest version and the updater would shut down before asking you to update.
Try uninstalling Reader and downloading the latest build. I doubt it will be asking you to update all the time after thet.

Why does ATT&T want me to put down a deposit -_-

I just went to try and buy an iPhone thinking I could afford it and AT&T wanted me to put a $500.00 deposit down. I'm like what the **** and cancelled. Can anyone tell me why I need to put a deposit down. I'm 20 years old and never had a credit card, so no credit is better than bad credit right? So why am I being asked for a deposit? This is a real turn-off to me, as I'm not getting one until I find out why I need such a high deposit.

AT&T runs a credit report before approving a new subscriber just as any company would before giving a person credit, and if you have no credit history or you have a poor credit history, a deposit will likely be required. I believe the deposit will be refunded after a year of good payment history with AT&T.
Did you do this at an AT&T store and if so, you weren't told why a deposit was required?
No credit history is not always better than bad credit - especially when requesting credit since a company considering giving you credit has nothing to go by regarding if you are a good or poor credit risk. Having a good credit/payment history with at least one credit card or a revolving credit account would likely not require a deposit by AT&T.

If you do indeed USE FaceTime, then you DO want it (your asssociated e-mail) stored into your keychain app.(so always allow). If you do NOT want to use FaceTime, open it and change your preferences, removing the associated e-mail account. Or, open Keychain (use spotlight upper rt) type "Keychain, go to password items, remove FaceTime or edit its attributes. But be sure that you understand the consequences. (Learn about Keychain Access). It will also delete IMessage --- and there are other concequences. That is why there is no "Always Deny" button. --

Why does Apple not want me to know where my files are?

There is one aspect that I find absolutely ridiculous and frustrating on Mac-OS. When I'm in Apple applications, it is impossible to find out where the file I'm working on is. For example, I have multiple files in my system, in different directories, lets say direcotories AA and BB and the file is called FooBar.txt. I open one of them in TextEdit. Great. Now I want to know which file I'm editing, AA/FooBar.txt or BB/FooBar.txt.
Traditionally, I would go to File and do a "Save As" and devine where the file is by where TextEdit thinks I need to save a new version of the file. Unfortunately, this is no longer available in Lion.
Okay, I understand that Mac is now doing verisions and the "Save As" was a user hack ... but it worked. I have tried to go to the Files->Properties, no luck this is just metadata about the contents of the file entered by the user, not system metadata about where the file is located, its size, owner, etc. I do not want to have to make a Dupicate of the file just to find out where when I do the save its going to put the file. I don't want a duplicate, all I want to know is where is the file I'm currently looking at.
I know this is all part of the mis-guided Apple idea that I shouldn't care about where my files are stored ala iPad and Apple iCloud and that I can find my files using Finder, but the reality of the situation is ... I do care where my files are stored. The files afterall belong to me not to Apple and Apple does allow me to have a directory tree structure which I choose to use to organize myself.
Yes, I know that Finder is wonderful and to unsophisticated users, this is all they need. But for those of us who are more sophisticated, we want-to and need-to know where our files are. And, yes, we will have many files with duplicate names.
As for Finder, I would like to be able to have a column dispolayed that lets me see where the files it found actual are. Then I want to sort on this. As far as I know, the only way to do this is to go to finder, type in the name of the file, then choose the Show all in Finder and then click on each file which then shows me a directory breadcrumbs on the botom of the screen. Again, this might be acceptable to the unsophisticated user, this is very awkward to the sophisticated user. Example, I find a file called xml.config. Great. I now want to not only edit the file but to open up a Terminal in the directoy where I found the file xml.config. Again, I know that a Terminal is not a thing an unsophisticated user wants-to or needs-to do. However, this is a feater of Mac-OS and I want to use it. yes, I can co through the Unix CD command and ultimately get there, but what a pain!!
So, hopefully, all you very sophisticated users will just point me to the right settings, swtiches and commands to make my life easier or that your designers will try to look at the sophisticated use cases and provide us with new tools, commands and options to make our lives easier. At the present, these frustrations remind me of the Microsoft ... we know beter .. attitude. So please, proove me wrong ;-)

While most likely not of interest to you, Spotlight can also tell you where the files it finds are located
Hover the mouse pointer over the name, and press Command-Option and the path to the file will be displayed.
As for opening a terminal session in the directory where a file is located, there is Applescripts that do just that as well as specific features in Lion/Mountain Lion terminal:

Why does my media want to export as a MXF when I match the sequence settings?

I've made films with Premiere CC before and have never had this problem, I go to export I click the box to match my sequence settings and it will export as a MPEG, and now, it wants to export as a MXF. My computer doesn't recognize MXF files. Is there any reason why this may be happening?

So I don't know what was up with my computer or my software, but, it used to be that I had to check the match sequence settings to get my project to export with the same video dimensions. But, I have now fixed it! Thanks so much! Now I have better quality and I'm doing it right

Why does Apple now want to make life difficult

Having been an Apple user since the Apple Lisa in 1985 I am reasonably commited to the the hardware and software but the way things are going I must seriously start to question this. Mountain Lion now imposes restrictions that I consider onerous. With 2 Mac Pro's and 2 Macbook Pros and 2 iPhones the burden and methodology of updates is becoming untenable. I suppose that if you live in one of the lucky USA cities with fibre it may not be much of a problem to you but like an awful lot of people I don't. In Africa it is still very widespread to have speed limits imposed on you when you have transferred certain amounts, in my case it is 5 Gig. Because of the way Mountain lion now operates in order to update iMove I must now download the update to each machine, (at 1.08 Gig each) and the same for iPhoto and the same for iOS. Before I have had any personal use out of the internet my updates have consumed over 10 Gig and I am now restricted in it's use. Why can they not allow for a single download which can then be implemented on each system. This total closing of the distribution infrastructure may well mean looking at other platforms.

You would be a good candidate for using the OTA updates for your iOS devices. The last iOS update was 900+MB if you downloaded through iTunes (which could be used to update multiple iPhones of the same model) but if you used the OTA updates, I believe it was less than 20MB. The iTunes update is a full firmware download/flash files, whereas the OTA update is only the pieces that have changed. Just connect your iPhone to iTunes, and perform a full backup, then disconnect, and perform the software update OTA directly on the iPhone.
Additionally, if you want the full 900+MB download, it doesn't take much work to search Google to see how you can perform one download and use it on multiple computers. When you download iOS Apps, they have embedded in them the AppleID that was used to "purchase" them, but this is not the case with iOS itself. You can download the 8.IPSW file on one computer, then load it into iTunes on multiple computers to update many devices of the same model. The tricky part here is that there are so many iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch models, it is easy to need to perform multiple downloads for a single household. Just between my wife & I we need the iOS updates for iPhone 5 (times 2), iPad 2 (times 2), iPhone 4 (times 2), iPod Touch 3rd Generation (times 2). If I didn't use the download once, update multiple, then my 4 downloads would become 8.
Similarly, with the Mac App Store, you can do a little searching and find out where the App Store downloads the updates to, and copy those to your other Macs to limit the number of downloads you need to perform. You only have to be willing to search a little, and do some work.
While I don't know about Africa, I do know that here, Apple provides free wifi to their customers in the Apple Stores, so perhaps you just need to take your portable computers to your local Apple Store and download the updates from there so as not to use your own Internet bandwidth...

When MS does updates, why does HP Envy want to do a restore?

Whenever my MS Windopws 7 OS does an upgdate (security or what ever), my HP Envy wants to do a system restore. This is the only computer I have ever had this happen on. If I let it do the restore, the MS wants to do the update again. Way is this occurring? And how can I avoid it?

Tom, welcome to the forum.
I believe what you are seeing is a message telling you that a Restore Point is being set before the updates are installed. This will allow you to go back to a date before the updates were installed if one of them causes a problem. Read the message carefully when it appears to make certain that this is correct.

Why does sync fail when i put music on

i try and put my music on it put about 3 of my 250 songs i want to down load then says failed to sync and wont put the rest on i have tryed resting al and returning it to the factory settings but nothing is working what can i do

Keychain - why does every program want to access it?

After I set-up MobileMe on my new Mac Mini, every program is now asking for access to the keychain? Whether I approve or deny does not seem to make a difference. Why is this happening now since installing MobileMe and why do the programs need to access it each time? Is there any way to disable this or grant approval so I don't get bombarded by window pop-ups each time a program is started?

Can you give some examples of every program please. Applications such as email, IM etc use it to store passwords and usernames so that's normal. Are there abnormal programs requesting access?
