Why does WebLogic hate me?

Hello,
I'm running WebLogic 5.1 SP11 locally on my Win2000 machine and I'm
running into numerous problems trying to start this connection pool:
weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.SupportPool=\
url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@thisistough.com:1521:dbid:dbid,\
driver=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver,\
dll=oci805jdbc.dll,\
initialCapacity=1,\
maxCapacity=2,\
props=user=weblogic;password=hatesme;
allow=guest;support
And this is part of the error message generated by this:
Thu Feb 14 10:04:04 CST 2002:<E> <JDBC Pool> Failed to create
connection pool "SupportPool"
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not load
'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver' because
System.loadLibrary threw java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
with the message 'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver'.
This could occur if the JDBC driver is not in the
weblogic.class.path.
If this is a type-2 JDBC driver, it may also indicate that
the Driver native layers(DBMS client lib or driver DLL)
have not been installed properly on your system or in your
environment.
This is most likely caused by one of the following:
1. The native layer SO, SL, or DLL could not be found.
2. The file permissions on the native layer SO, SL, or DLL
have not been set properly.
3. The native layer SO, SL, or DLL exists, but is either
invalid or corrupted.
For more information, read the installation documentation
for your JDBC Driver, available from:
http://www.weblogic.com/docs/install/install_jdbc.html
     at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionEnvFactory.loadDriver(ConnectionEnvFactory.java:89)
     at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionEnvFacto ...
The dll specified in the connection pool is in my PATH, and the
unzipped folder "classes12" is in both my WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH and
JAVA_CLASSPATH (beneath :setJava117, what's that?) that appear in my
startWebLogic.cmd file. These are all things previous newsgroup posts
said to do, yet still I'm stuck.
Any suggestions?, Dave

Hi,
Can you please try to connect to the database from the command line by using utils.dbping,
after setting your environment variables? You cannot create a connection pool
because your server cannot locate your JDBC driver. It is likely to be a classpath
issue. More details about this command at http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/techstart/dbping.html

  • Why does Apple hate early adapters? NO MMS for iPhone original??

    Can someone explain why apple and ATT can't manage to figure out how to make MMS messaging work for a tiny, hand sized computer (aka the original iphone) when it seems like EVERY other carrier and company will give you a phone that does that from day one?

    I don't believe AT&T has anything to do with it, the problem lies in the processor and needed OS adaptations on the iPhone that would have to come from Apple. Regardless of why, it isn't going to happen.

  • Why does CS4 hate my hard-drive?

    Hi,
    I'm running CS4 on OSX 10.4.11, PPC.
    I have two 1TB drives in the box. The boot drive is cloned onto the second drive every 24h, so they are pretty much identical.
    CS4 won't launch if I set the second drive as my primary scratch disk. I get errors saying "Disk is missing", "Cannot initialise", or words to that effect.
    Does anyone have a clue why this is? I can't fathom it at all.
    Both disks are formatted HFS+, Journaled.
    Hope someone can help me :-)
    Thanks! :-)

    Buko,
    Thanks for your response but it's not that. The disk is formatted HFS+ Jourrrnaled and not case sensitive.

  • Why does everybody hate Cisco Cloud Connect so much ??

    Just upgraded from e4200v1 to the ea4500. I may be a minority but I actually find the new cloud firmware a refreshing change and I installed it by choice. The original firmware was just feeling a litte dated after years of owning linksys routers.  I'll agree it is a little slow but I am sure that will be addressed. As for those saying it has been streamlined,  I was able to find almost all important settings that often actually need configuring in a few minutes. As for it being full of bugs, If you want to see buggy firmware buy an asus router, I just returned one it was so bad.
    While I can't figure out why one would really need to remotely access their router the ability to fire up the guest network or monitor devices on my router from my phone is really cool. I'm anxious to see what Cisco/Linksys have in mind for upcoming releases, it opens the door for so many possibilities.

    I am looking at the box of my EA4500 and there is nothing on it about CCC.  That was added after the fact.  In fact most EA4500s out there now were pre-CCC.  You clearly don't have an EA4500 in your hands, there's nothing on the box talking about CCC.  Cisco Connect software is not the same thing as Cisco Cloud Connect, right?  Because that's what's mentioned on the box.
    Try finding a 4200v2 for sale then try finding a 4500, price is nearly the same( only $10 difference) , the devices have very similar specs if not identical.  So, you would save a whole $10 for last years model?  Not the best plan for me.
    As far as complaining about a cloud implementation for a local device?  Really?  You think this is a good idea?  You think that this works "well"?  I've asked before and I'll ask you since you want to go after me for voicing my opinion on a thread that's asking people what's wrong with the software...  Would you put your home thermostat control "in the cloud" so that you could control it remotely and remove any local control option?  That would be silly wouldn't it?  If your access to the control ever gets interrupted for any reason, you can no longer control your device.  This is what happens here.
    As for software support...  Cisco already isn't supporting their software.  You cannot use any of their installation or update software if you are using Mac OS X Mountain Lion.  At this time the OS has been available for a month and a half and Cisco doesn't appear to be doing anything to provide support for an OS that is guaranteed support according to the system requirements on the box.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Installer - Why does it Hate Adobe Software?

    It takes some real incompetence to write an installer that can't install if you already have that company's software.
    So I own CS6 for Design and Web and Lightroom 4.x and have been pretty happy with it.
    But in August there was a deal to try Creative Cloud for $19.99 a month.  I bit on the deal and installed it.
    But realize.. I don't need all the DEV Tools Nor do I need all the Video tools so $50 a month will be a deal breaking in a year.  You need to create sub suites of Creative Cloud that match some of the suites you used to sell or I will abandon the cloud and I suspect like many others CS6 will become the defacto standard for years.
    HOWEVER,
    I may cancel my CC this month is you don't put some REAL DEVELOPERS on the install software.
    It took me 2 hours, BING, GOOGLE, and uninstalling CS6, Adobe reader, Adobe Player etc to get my first Creative Cloud installed.
    Today I got the message there was an update to the Creative Cloud desktop.  I made the mistake of trying to update.
    I now have had the CC desktop uninstalled and the installer again is gives me the fail message with no useful info it did at first install.
    So I guess I have spend several hours uninstalling, cleaning, and reinstalling Adobe Software.
    What IDIOT writes an installer that fails if the person actually has other software from that company installed.
    What IDIOT fails to test a machine with lots of your own software installed to see if it breaks your installer
    What IDIOT releases software that demands users uninstall your products every time it needs an update.
    This is an Adobe failure but the entire Product Team for the CC Desktop manager application.  Time to clean house and bring in the A team to fix this.
    Know this.. The Third time I am put in a position to Uninstall, Clean and Reinstall CC.. IT will be Uninstall, Clean Reinstall CS6 and Cancel my CC account and block CC payments to Adobe from my Amex.
    This is not new.. I can read for months and months people having this problem.   Find the problem Adobe software has with Adobe software and FIX IT.
    This is why the Government should have blocked the Macromedia sale.  If Adobe had one decent competitor.. this is the kind of thing that would cause people to change.
    Lack of competition clearly has made Adobe not care about fixing installer bugs that should he SHOW STOPPER ! CANCEL VACATIONS AND FIX.  because hey where else will they go?.
    Where will I go, CS6 already paid for and we are done with Adobe and down comes the giant subscription cash cow.. because the installer developers kept us from using the tools you created which are pretty good, if I don't have to keep removing them to update a utility that manages them.

    got it installed.
    Didn't have to uninstall all the software this time..
    And I got a clue to where Adobe may be having problems.  I think they have an old library that has broken code for accessing profiles in Windows.
    Ran the cleaner for CS6 & Creative cloud.
    it then lists all the CS6 and CC Apps including CC Desktop.. I chose that but got a :
    "Was cleaned with errors" message
    GREAT.. even the cleaner is broke!!!
    but unlike other tools tells me where the LOG file is... EXCEPT.
    Instead of c:\Users\Tim.Domain\... rest of path where it was
    The error lists c:\Users\Tim~1~DOM\.. rest of path.
    Well \Tim~1~DOM is a left over folder from a previous profile... that is actually nearly empty.  Yet Adobe's error used it not the correct profile in the Error.
    So imagine that certain other calls are also using busted Profile calls. that grab simular profies vs the correct one..  BUSTED INSTALLER!!
    after the Cleaner was run for only CC Desktop.. I was then able to download and install the current version from Adobe.
    Code that grabs the wrong profile path is going to cause problems....

  • What is windowserver_last.log and why does it hate me?

    My MacBook hard drive is making some click/clunk noises every half minute or so. Sounds like something indexing or writing to the hard drive in the background. Keeps doing it across restarts. Nothing super scary but enough to make me do a quick back up of the important files. I check my available disk space after backing up and discovered it was only 7GB when it should be 20GB! With a tool called WhatSize I discovered that the private directory is at 12.7 GB, most of that being a file called windowserver_last.log at 12.2 GB, with the rest being virtual memory swap stuff at an apparently reasonable .5 GB.
    I assume it's safe to delete the log in console. What could be causing this? I think the little click/clunk hard drive noise I'm hearing right now is actually the MacBook writing to that log file a couple times a minute. Will deleting that file stop the constant logging?

    HI, Sanford.
    Yes, it is safe to delete windowserver_last.log.
    There are some bugs related to these logs.
    The current windowserver.log is supposed to be rotated whenever you restart (or shutdown and restart). The old windowserver_last.log replaced by the existing windowserver.log and a new, blank windowserver.log created. It appears that in some cases this isn't happening.
    It's also been found that every time one uses Command-Tab to switch between applications, the following three entries are written to windowserver.log:
    Jun 10 19:55:56 [58] Hot key operating mode is now all but UA disabled
    Jun 10 19:55:56 [58] "Dock" (0x5b0f) set hot key operating mode to normal
    Jun 10 19:55:56 [58] Hot key operating mode is now normal
    If you're a heavy user of Command-Tab and don't restart often, the windowserver.log will grow quite large. Likewise, after a restart and the rotation of the log, the windowserver_last.log will still be consuming a good bit of space as, if everything works, it is simply the previous windowserver.log.
    IMO, writing this message to the log is unnecessary logging.
    None of the normal Mac OS X Mac OS X Maintenance Scripts rotate or prune these logs: it seems it is only done via a restart or shutdown/restart.
    The bug has been reported, so hopefully it will be fixed in some future Mac OS X Update.
    Good luck!

  • AHHH why does it hate me!

    I am having a problem with my new iBook.
    Whenever i put in a audio cd to import to iTunes, my computer reads the files as being larger than they actually are, say a 70MB cd is being read as being 400MB!!! Individual song files are being read as up to 70MB each. it's not just on iTunes either, whenever i open the cd with Finder it gives me the same information. Why is my disc drive reading the files as being so large?!? What can i do to fix this?
    (i have tried numerous cds)

    A CD has a maximum capacity of 702 MB, and that capacity can hold 80 minutes of music in CD-DA format. So a standard music of 70 MB in size CD would be about 10 minutes long. Is that the length of the disc that you think weighs 70 Megs ??
    Of course, once imported in iTunes, in AAC or .mp3 format (at 128 Kbps), a 10-minute CD would weigh 9.375 MB. So the same file could ave two different sizes, one being the size on the CD itself, and one being the size on the hard drive, in the iTunes library, after being imported and converted (compressed) to .mp3 or AAC (or any format selected in iTunes Preferences). That is not an issue and therefore has no fix.
    If your problem is different, could you be a little more precise ?
    Edit : Oops, it seems that this thread is a little old, sorry guys.

  • Why does Fancybox hate me so :(

    I was using a different Litebox months ago and had some issues. NancyO recommended I use Fancybox, but I'm starting to think I will never get it to work. It seems I have tried every possible coding combination known to man (and woman)but to no avail.
    Problem: images will NOT pop up into the fancybox window, they will only open on a new page.
    I have screwed around with jquery, css and html so much I can no longer figure out what to try.
    Below are some excerpts of my code, maybe someone can see something wrong;

    The only other thing I can mention is that I have some google analytics script as well as a image rotator script.
    Your thoughts?

    I don't know why I did that! But you are correct, over the weekend and used the fancyboxes demo media and replaced with my images which worked of course. I then went on to strip my work down section by section and yes the rel and the data-fancybox-group was a dum mistake.
    In regards to using both the

    <script type="text/javascript" src="fancybox/source/jquery.fancybox.pack.js?v=2.1.4"></script>
    It seemed to work fine once I fixed everything else. But since you mentioned it, I went ahead and removed
    <script type="text/javascript" src="fancybox/source/jquery.fancybox.pack.js?v=2.1.4"></script>
    and it still works just fine.
    I'll be the first to admit my code is sloppy, I still have internal AND external stylesheets on my document. One day I'll clean it up.
    Thanks eveyone it's working, here's a link to the one page, still have to fixed the remaining pages;

  • Why does iTunes hate Oasis?

    I ripped the album "Definitely Maybe" onto my computer with iTunes, then transferred it to my iPod. In iTunes, the tracks had their correct track numbers. However, on the iPod, it rearranges them in the wrong order.
    This is the only album out of about 150 on my iPod that has this problem. Shuffle is off.
    Bizarrely, if I change the album name to ANYTHING else, the tracks are ranked in the proper order. If I change it back to "Definitely Maybe", it screws it up again.

    Ha! That's a thought.
    I am not having this trouble at all, K S.
    You could report it as a bug to Apple I suppose...sorry my suggested workaround didn't do the trick. I really appreciate your taking the time to try my idea and posting back the news, bad that it was.
    [edit: perhaps someone else with "Definitely Maybe" will post here, too...I don't fancy buying it, just to see if it does the same to me]

  • Why does Lion hate my intel hd 3000?

    All my native 3D games for Mac have stopped working correctly since the Lion update.  I realize that Lion dropped Rosetta, therefore my PPC games (I'm looking at you Diablo...) won't work anymore.  I am running 10.7.1 on a 13" macbook pro i5.  I am missing textures in warcraft 3 (universal app).  Games ported to Mac through Cider or run within Wine work correctly.  To quote Timon from the Lion King (See what I did there?), "What's going on here?!?"

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    Your MacBook Pro switches automatically between both GPUs, and for normal use, you will see only the Intel HD Graphics 4000. When you use heavy applications, it will switch automatically to the NVIDIA GPU, so you don't have to worry about it.
    If you want to check that your NVIDIA GPU is working, open System Preferences > Energy Saver, and disable the graphic card switching, so your Mac will use the NVIDIA GPU. Then, open  > About this Mac > More Info, and you will see the NVIDIA GPU. Note that this GPU consumes more battery

  • Why does X hate RAM?

    is there any way to reduce the amount of RAM that X "holds" - every type of system monitor tool spits out that I have a constant "507/512 MB" in use... eh it varies from about 490 to 510, but it just seems rediculous... I've seen screenshots of people running X at around 130/512, so maybe it's just me...

  • Why does Leopard hate G4's???

    So i just installed leopard on my dual 1.0ghz MDD and everything works great so far..... except the screensavers. Off to the internet I go for clues, ideas, and hopefully a fix. After searching several mac-based forums and sites, the general consensus seems to be that leopard doesn't support pre-radeon cards. (Mine being a rage pro). I've already tried reinstalling leopard figuring that it may have just been a bad install but I was wrong.. still nothing. Now I know that someone out there has this figured out and I'm hoping that someone is on this site somewhere. There's my story, here's my question: Is there software, firmware, or an update out there somewhere that will fix my problem??

    I've tried searching for the document that provided the video card requirements but had no success. I do recall the need for an ATI Radeon but cannot remember the minimum need for Nvidia cards.
    The ATI Radeon 9800 Mac Model should meet the requirements. Mostly the requirement is for Quartz and Core Graphics. Many screensavers rely on Quartz.

  • HELP! Why does my Drag and Drop not work Completely?

    Hello! I'm working on an ActionScript 3 movie clip in Adobe Flash. In the interactive movie I want the user to create a snowman with the parts on the left side. (Picture below.)
    On the right side I have the snowman slightly visible, so the user knows where to put the parts. Most of it seems to work... but after I put on the body, hat, and arms the other pieces don't work; like the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Why does it not work? Can someone help me?
    This is how it should look at the end, when the user complets it.
    I think I coded this correctly. But I'm not sure. Please take a look at my code and see what the problem is. Thanks!!!

  • Why does messages go into Recovery Callback Queue - urgent

    Env : BPEL 10.1.3.4 , Web logic 9.2
    Scenario:
    We have a process(Lets say A) putting messages from into a MQ(lets say Q1).
    Another Application processes the messages from Q1 and puts some messages into another Queue (Q2).
    We have another process B (Lets say B) which reads from this Q2 and calls the Process A’s callback operation(using right correlation parameters) thus releasing “receive” acitivty of Process A and hence flow goes further.
    Problem :
    While the above scenario is working as expected for some cases(approx. 60%) we observed the following :
    i)     A’s receive activity is still waiting to receive a callback from B.
    ii)     All the instances where A is waiting for receive has gone to “Recovery Callback” and sits there. When we manually recover them , Process A’s receive gets executed and works as expected.
    iii)     In some cases where the flow went successfully ( ie., receive receives the callback) , receive activity received the callback long time after the message is places in Q2. ( in some cases it is 9 to 10 hrs).
    Questions:
    i)     Why does instances go into “recover callback” ? What can we do to avoid this ? ( Kindly dont suggest ways to recover, I am looking for a preventive measure)
    ii)     Process A's recieve activity sometimes receive the callback after some 9 hrs and the flow passes on. I am wondering how can this happen as "synchMaxTime" is set to 900 secs in our case ( 15 mins). I thought any instance waiting for more than 15 mins for callback should have got timedout. Is this setting only for synch calls ?
    Few other things
    1. The Process B listening to Q2 is having a delay between messages as 3.66 secs . This is to throttle messages coming so quick to bpel as it may not have sufficent threads to process all of them at a time.
    2. synchMaxTime in the Domains = 900 s
    3. JTA Timeout in weblogic server is 3000 seconds.
    This is very urgent , Kindly help with any input / suggestion you have ASAP. Thanks.

    why does my camera get purple streaks and then freezes

    My friend and I both work in a hospital and we go in out of signal continuously through out the day.  Our problem is so bad that by mid afternoon our phone batteries are down to 20% as the phone is continuously searching for signal.  Im on EE and their only advice was to reset the network settings, thats fine when you only have to do it once but Im doing it up to 20 times in 1 day.  It makes me hate my iphone for the first time in 5 years.
