I have not had a dial tone on my landline phone for over two weeks so I made an appointment for a service tech to come today to fix my phone--it was the earliest appointment I could get. I was told that the Verizon tech would come between 8 a.m. and 12 noon. As I work during the week, I had to take off the day from work to be home for the service call. Two days ago, I got a call on my cell phone from a real person at Verizon confirming that I would be home today for the service tech. Yesterday, I got an automated phone call confirming thatthe tech would be coming today between 8 a.m. and 12 noon and confirming that I would be home. At 10:00 a.m. today, I got a text message on my cell phone stating that the service tech would arrive before 12 noon. When he did not show by 1:30 p.m., I called Verizon and after 15 minutesof trying to get a real person on line I was told that the service tech would not be coming after all!! No apology was offered for my inconvenience. Another appointment was made for tomorrow (when I can't be home) to check my outside line, but if that does not fix the problem, what am I supposed to do? This is the worst cucstomer service problem I have ever experienced. I had been thinking of switching from Comcast to Verizon FIOS, but if this is the kind of "customer service" I can expect from Verizon, then I would have to have my head examined to make a switch. At least Comcast comes out when they say they will.

This company clearly needs some competition to get them to start listening to customers. If I didn't show up for work for three days and did not call, I would be fired. Think about that, Verizon.

Why don't you start charging much less for your services for multi family dwellings?

I was thinking it would be a good idea to have multi family apartment buildings be able to share internet WiFi and so share the billing. Units could be installed in a common area and have repeaters.People could sign up and just get a WiFi password sent to them. Many people can share the same bandwidth and still be very fast and save money all over. Except for the company.

By definition you're not supposed to share a Residental grade connection across multiple homes/dwellings like this, however there are many places that do just this. The owner/landlord will purchase a business class connection suitable for sharing with a specific amount of capacity, and will distribute the bandwidth using central gear that then goes to Wired or Wireless access for each tenant. This is all up to the building owner however, except in some very rare circumstances.
It's a great idea, yes, but some things are truthfully best left independant. Such as your home Internet connection. Security, speed, reliability, etc. Cost? Maybe not so much, but that's when you start to get the most out of what you pay for. For example, streaming the highest quality video you can, utilizing the service as much as possible without becoming excessive (time-wise), and so on.

I am a LONG term Verizon customer and no one is helping.....
I work in IT, with the Network and Mobility groups, so I know what I am talking about, network access, O/S, bandwidth, etc….
I changed to a droid Bionic, from my LG (broken).   I started experiencing issues with inability to connect to a solid 4G network. The phone was not updated to Ice Cream Sandwich O/S and tried repeatedly to get update, but no go. Verizon did swap out with another bionic, but still experienced issues with inability to consistently get network access. I work in a big city, no one else was having issues at my work.
Husband left for Europe due to a family emergency mid Sept.   FIL was in hospital. I work and there is a 7 hour time difference.   We both had SKYPE on our phones. At work, I tried to contact him, using SKYPE.   SKYPE would not connect, due to the phone issue connecting to the network.   I had to call husband directly (international calls) to get updates on the condition of my ill, 96 yo FIL.
1.   This was not an issue of an app that did not function and that Verizon does not support.   I did not have access to the network, thus could not use SKYPE to make calls. This was not a choice to call international.
Verizon admitted that it was a phone issue. Since I am a long term Verizon customer and have insurance on the phone, they tried to give me yet another Bionic 9that would not work). After much discussion, they sent me a RAZR that was on the updated O/S.
Up to the 29th of Sept, I was on the Bionic and could not access SKYPE. Once I transferred over, I could use SKYPE and was not forced by Verizon to make international calls due the lack of network service that I pay for EACH MONTH.
When I received my bill for Sept, there were hundreds of dollars of additional charges.
This was due to the international calling that I was forced to use to check on status of terminally ill 96 yo FIL.
This was due to the overage of minutes that I had and was never notified of by Verizon, due to the interational calls.
I have tried to deal with Verizon on eliminating the charges. This is after having to deal with the death and funeral arrangements, service, etc of FIL. Verizon claims that I made the calls, thus I must pay.   They admitted to it being a Verizon network issue when they traded for the Razr and updated O/S, but still want me to pay hundreds of dollars in extra fees that THEY CAUSED.

I thought you said YOUR phone was the one having the problem, not his. You could have Skyped/emailed from a computer TO his phone, but you chose to call instead.
Yes, you are correct, everyone does not always think clearly when in a stressful situation such as that. Does not mean someone else should pay for YOUR actions.
Another thing I notice about your prior post is you say "Verizon claims that I made the calls, thus I must pay." but you also claim to have made the calls yourself, so it isn't necessarily that Verizon "claims" you made the calls, you DID make the calls.
Finally, I have found myself in a similar situation in the past and most likely in the near future. I also didn't(and don't) expect Verizon to pay for my phone usage during those times.

Just checked. The png still does not display on iPhone(5) or iPad(3). The image was also made by me in pixelmator and both (png and jpg) were exprted from pixelmator.

Why don't Apple security updates show up in my Macbook Pro app store

Running Mounbtain Lion 10.8.4 on MacBook Pro late 2008. Lately the Mac system and security updates don't show up, for example this latest 10.8.5 and security update 2013-0004. I also believe that other updates may not be showing up, but I only get seperate notifications for the Apple system updates. I have had this problem for many months.
I go to the apple site to download them.
There is another macbook in our local network that does not have this problem, both Apple updates showed up and were installed.

Thanks for the Command-R tip, I was not aware that you need to be signed into the App Store as an admin but it did the trick and the OS update showed up.
There used to be a security recommendaton from Apple itself I believe to safeguard the administrative account by creating a Standard User account for everyday computing and an Admin User Account that is only used when needed (and typically while using the Standard account). But, if OS updates are not showing up automatically while using a Standard User account, you are missing out on potentially critical OS updates.

How can Verizon charge twice as much for less service?

I have 4 phones, two of which have data plans. Unlimited Text and 1400 minutes, of which only about 700 are used. My bill used to be about $120 a month. Ever since I got a new phone, I actually am getting LESS from Verizon. I went from Unlimited data (no longer offered) to 2GB data on one of my phones. Nothing else has changed. My bill is now in excess of $270 a month. That was the "solution" offered by the employee at the Verizon store. $650 is a lot of money to get out of my contract with Verizon, but that is a pittance compared to what I'll be gouged for over the next two years. Whatever happened to "you get what you pay for"?

It appears as if there is something fishy with this story.
1400 minutes on the Family Share Talk & Text plan. 2 smartphones(2 GB and unlimited data on the 2 phones) and 2 basic phones. There is NO WAY you could only be paying $122.47/month. The plan you have quoted would be higher than that. This is the EXACT plan I had prior to switching to Share Everything and with my 22% service discount and 20% data discount on 1 unlimited data plan, my bill was CONSIDERABLY higher than $122.47/month.
Breakdown of charges:
Calling plan with 1 line of service = $110
3 additional lines @ $9.99/line = $29.97
2 unlimited data plans @ $29.99/line = $59.98
Total = $199.95
22% discount on service = $24.20
20% discount on 1 data plan = $6.00
Total discount = $30.20
Total bill BEFORE taxes = $169.75
taxes on service plan/primary line $14.98/month
taxes on additional 3 lines $4.37 x 3 = $13.11/month
Total taxes = $28.09/month
Total bill WITH discounts = $197.84/month, without discounts, it would have been more than $30/month higher.
While your taxes MAY be lower, there is NO WAY your bill could have been $122.47/month on that plan.
Either you are unaware which plan you had, you were unaware how much you were paying OR there is more to this story.

Service tech can't get parts after 2 1/2 months to fix tv that i bought in Jan. 2012 it upsets me that this can't be resolved i spent 1400 dollars on a tv i can't use i would like to know who dropped the ball here?

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) to my Mac Pro desktop running OSX 10.9.3. My Creative Cloud app shows updates for all apps that I have as CS6 on my desktop but I have only subscribed to Photoshop CC. Lightroom shows Install but it is installed. Trying to Install Photoshop CC(2014) results in and error message "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(7) more information.
More information gives Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For Example, ERROR:

I also cannot directly download from my account on the web. This has been going on for a week or more and I have tried numerous suggestions on the forums but got nowhere. I uninstalled Creative Cloud app today but could not find the installer again so I assume that was deleted. I cannot download that now as on Adobe's site it says we are experiencing problems. Aren't we all.
I was happy with CC until last week but now cannot recommend it.
I also have a Macbook Pro retina and Photoshop CC(2014) downloaded no problem on that.

Why don't you remove the Gd limit for sharing an idea?

I have copied/pasted my original text and suspect will be forced to make it public in mozillaZine or... this limit is extremely annoying! First of all... some search engine? searchqu.com took over Firefox 4.0 and I.E.... after reading in mozillaZine that uninstalling/re-installing FF didn't work, I tried various ideas that were reported to work... none did for me! So I downloaded and installed Google Chrome. Its search engine had been compromised by searchqu.com as well but I was able to set it back to Google.com! Then I discovered that Google Chrome downloaded files 6 times faster than did FF 4.0, FF 3.6 or I.E. 8. So I am going to stick with GC. However, if someone can tell me how to get FF downloading at 15 Mbps like GC... I will be back... it is difficult to leave FF after Netscape>Firebird>Firefox! The upload rate is indeed cut in half... but that will just keep FF installed and used on occasion. I am truly hoping to get a solution to my speed problem... it is indeed a problem only on my computer and my netbook... the speed thing is fine on my wife's computer! ??? This is the only way I could find of informing someone about this weird problem without making it public! But as all can see, I had to go public! :o) By the way... uninstalling Firefox including all data then installing it worked for me! That damn searchqu.com is gone... at least has been for a few hours now!

Apple seems to have been gradually replacing flags with alphabetic symbols wherever possible. Chinese and Japanese have been this way for quite a long time, and in Yosemite I count 30 keyboards (including Greek), nearly half the total, without the flag.
The easiest way to get the Greek flag back would be to download the app Ukelele, which includes copies of the Greek keyboard and the old flag icon, which you can install and use instead of Apple's.

'No Service' means your iPhone for whatever reason is not getting a Carrier Signal. Possibly antenna or carrier issue.
Try:
Toggle Airplane Mode On and OFF, obviously leaving it OFF. Settings App>Airplane Mode at top.
Try Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart, usually less than 15 seconds.
Settings App>General>Rese, near bottom>Reset Network Settings.
Restore iPhone with iTunes.
You may need to get a new SIM from your carrier.
Your antenna may have come loose in one or more areas.
If your iPhone 3GS is opened, make sure it is OFF before opening and during repair, or you risk damaging the LCD Display or Logic Board Display Controllers.

Mvt. 101 with ML81N for service entry sheet split for every service line

Dear guru.
I have one purchase order position for service (item category D) with three different service line.
I run ML81N and i create the service entry sheet for every service line.
If I see the goods receipts movement generate , the system show 1 movement line with qty 1 and the total of amount in LC of the 3 service line.
Does exist a chance in order that system create 3 different movement lines for every service line with quantity and amount specific.

I think you have create Service PO with description & UOM .
then that you have mention activity for services ( Service line) . But if you mention n number of service line that all values acumulate to service line of line item.
so, you can't get different entery in accounting document & material document. this always w r t line item of the service PO.
You have to note one think all the service line tiem is unter the line item 10 only.
just check your PO in ME23N.

I am currently preparing an AMFPHP environment for exchanging
data with Flex and AIR applications. I can connect to the services
via Netconnection, but using RemoteObject won't work.
Documentation for the necessary configuration files
(services-config.xml, remoting-config.xml and the like) is, um,
sparse and seems to be slightly incorrect or misleading at times.
So I'm looking for clarification about
changes in the syntax of services-config.xml · in
examples for Flex 2.01, there are "class" attributes with values
beginning with "flex.", in Flex 3 examples the attribute name has
changed to "type", values beginning with "flex." have mostly
vanished and been replaced with similar looking values beginning
with "mx.". Are "flex." and "mx." prefixes interchangable?

like <service-include file-path="remoting-config.xml"/>)
instead of defining all service parameters there. But in the

Which service type to use for Proxy Service

I have a question regarding a Proxy service.
I have a need for a local (transport local) Proxy service which is called by another proxy service.
It is a synchronous service which has an XML incoming message and an XML outgoing message.
I have the following questions:
- Does it make a difference in performance when I choose a WSDL webservice or a Messaging service?

Which one would you choose and why?I would choose XML type messaging type proxy because input and output are XML messages. I won't choose WSDL web-service because it should be used in case of SOAP packagaing only (in web-service context, to enable SOAP and WS support) to mock a web-service which has a WSDL (and a XSD) associated with it.
