Why I cant attach anything to my yahoo email anymore?

I have never had a problem until a few days ago, now the attached dial just spins round but nothing happens, this is on my Lenovo windows 8 lap top, when I went back to my old net book I had no problems at all. I have seen people comment about fire fox, but I don't understand it or know anything about it. My other half sorts out all the computer stuff in this house, but he brought me this laptop for xmas and knows nothing about windows 8. So I have no idea how to overcome this!

Also many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

(83KB) i contacted AT&T and they said i needed to contact you that it was a browser proble. i have no problem if i go through Internet explorer.

With Firefox version 5, check that you have NOT blocked "Plugin Container for Firefox". That was why I could NOT send attachments. When I changed it to Permit All I was able to send attachments again. Hope this helps.

For some reason I am unable to attach documents to a yahoo email from my macbook pro. I do not experience this problem on a nomal PC and i can even open attachments on the mac. However on trying to attach a document to an email it keeps coming up wth an error stating ''invalid file selected'' each time i tr. Can anyone advice me what i need to do to address this please?

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.

Can't open my attached files on my yahoo email account unless clearing all history on Firefox - this is maddening!! Help!

Everytime I want to open an attached file on my yahoo email, I now have to clear all the history including: Browsing and download history, Form and search history, cookies, and cache before I can open attachments on my yahoo mail and then I have to re-enter all my passwords, etc.
This was previously not a problem opening any attached files like PDF files or document files.
Please help!

when I entered my password, I am unable to access my yahoo email inbox. at d base of the screen, there is a fast alternate flash of: connected; waiting to connect.
this period of attempts to access the email inbox goes on for as long time without any success in gaining access. what can I do? thanks.

Check your settings in mail settings. If correct, then delete the account, and re add it in the "other" tab instead of the yahoo tab.

Attaching pdf files to yahoo emails

After scanning a doc into pdf format-- free adobe reader 9.0, I am unable to attach the doc to a yahoo OR gmail email. I thought Yahoo was the problem as when attempt to attach, screen just keeps telling me to "wait, attaching," but never does. I then attempted to attach same doc to gmail and I get the same results-- never attaches. I never used to have this problem but not sure if it has been since upgraded to 9.0 as don't remember when I DID upgrade!! Thanks.

Reader has nothing to do with this, since Reader does not create any
files. You have some software that scans your pages to pdf. Before you
try to upload the file as an email attachment you should make sure your
scanning software closed the file. Then you should be able to attach it
to an email. If you cannot then the problem lies with your system, not
Reader, not gmail, nor yahoo.

Cant get into email account all of a sudden. Tried shutting down, deleted account and then opened new account....get into mail....says there are messages but they have no content, cant, delete them or even get into them....help!!! oh and when I go throug HOTMAIL on safari I have no problems

Cant see any images in my emails anymore (since upgraded to 3)

i was trying to send myself a pic so i could attach it to a contact. i tried 2 ways (embed and attach).
i can't see the image all i get is an icon for winmail.dat

What is the source of the picture you are trying to send (iPhoto, desktop or other picture folder)?
What format is the original picture (JPG, PNG,etc.)?
It really should be as simple as dragging a picture (assuming it is a picture format) into the mail application and sending it to your email account.
I just did it to confirm the procedure. Opened it on my iPhone.
So, hopefully the problem is with the format of the original picture you are trying to send.
That is another matter.

Cannot attach files to Yahoo email account since new Safari installed

Hello. I don’t know why, but since I installed the new Safari update, I’ve been having trouble attaching files to my Yahoo email account. The entire Safari just sort of freezes. I can’t even click on anything.
Another minor but irritating problem since the installment: sometime video clips cannot be played (like on Youtube). I would have to quit and reopen to get to usual condition.
Anyone know how to solve these problems? Thanks!

The problem is BrowserPlus. It's not compatible with Safari 5.

If you don't want to do that, you revert to the previous version of Safari, instructions here.

Can't attach documents to yahoo mail anymore

hey, everyone. i used to be able to attach files to my yahoo email by clicking attach file and choosing the file (whether it's a photo, pages doc, numbers file, etc).
now, for some reason, when i choose attach file from the yahoo mail page and the finder window pops up, all of my pages and numbers documents can't be chosen. they're in a light gray color and i can't click on them. i have no idea what could've caused this. i did search around the forums and ran disk utility and repaired disk permissions but that didn't do a thing.
i'd appreciate any advice y'all could give me.

fyi, so i call apple care support and find out that this is a normal security feature of leopard. they told me that it's designed to help keep mac users from passing on a virus to others via email. just hit file, compress to create a zip version of the file and then attach the zip file.
