  • Help! Where/How to contact Nokia Care?

I have a problem with my phone (as you can see here) and would like to contact Nokia Customer Care.
Now, my country is not officialy supported (Serbia), although I bought a completely legal phone in a store, so does anyone now where could I address my problem? Is there an email of the support team for EU region where I could ask?
    Thanks all..

    Thanks for a reply, petrib.
Yes, I've already been there, and the reply I've got was "that I should be happy that I've successfully restored the other data" and that they cannot do anything...
That's why I'd try to ask someone directly from Nokia.

  • Who is runing Nokia Care Line?

I've been trying to get very simple answers to very simple questions.
"Which courier you've used to send my phone back to me? Can I get tracking number? "
I'm sure it is outsourced to somewhere in Asia. my best guess is Taiwan or Singapore. Why don't you provide better textbooks to them to follow? Or may be give them proper training so they actually would know what they are doing.
It has been 3 days 3 different people but no answer. They can't even answer  if Nokia care sent my phone back! If I believe email I received from [email protected] my phone waits me in my closest Nokia Care point! I didn't even took it to a Nokia Care to send for repair!
Hey Nokia! All I wan't to know  is that if you've sent my phone back what is the tracking number so i can redirect it to my house instead of work place. If you haven't when are you going to?
If anyone from Nokia cares my repair id was :  1-OY3JHS

Last I heard it's handled by a bunch of poorly trained script readers based in the Phillipines.  You'll get very little sense from them so all you can really do is wait.
I like to think of them as the "muppets from manilla".

  • How I got fooled by Nokia Care, Bangalore. [Lumia ...

    Hi,
I purchased a Nokia Lumia 720 on May 2nd week 2013 from an authorized Nokia vendor in Bangalore. Now, here are the issues I've faced, and here's how Nokia has been 'kind' to serve me.
    > The phone has had reception issues from Day 1. The person on the other end of the line, cannot hear my voice clearly, which ends up in me shouting/talking louder than usual to make sure the person gets me. Initially, I thought this might be a network issue, or maybe because the phone is too new. I decided to give this a few days.
    > Day 7, and things got worse. Poor reception, phone lagging, volume increasing decreasing automatically, notifications failing. On contacting Nokia care, they asked me to format  my 'seven day' old phone. That was done. No change.
    > Day 10. I finally gave up and thought of switching networks in hope of getting better reception. Mind you, I was getting excellent reception at my house with this same SIM on my previous handset.
    > Day 14. New SIM activated. Issues remain. Contacted Nokia, they asked me to move to 'Micro Sim' and not cut the normal 'Sim' as that might be the reason for the issue. Plus, the other issues increased making the phone unusable at times because of the lag.
    > Day 17. Microsim activated, Issues gone worse. Planned to visit Nokia Care, Bangalore. Got told that I need to format my phone again and everything will be fine.
    > Day 18. Formatted. Issues remain. Visited another Nokia Care in hope for better service. But well, got treated arrogantly. According to the customer 'care' rep at the Nokia Care, water has made it's way into the motherboard of the phone and that has been causing issues. When told that these issues were there since day 1, the customer care guy cuts you off arrogantly, and instead blames you of phone tampering. Like, really. The phone wasn't even taken to any service station apart from Nokia, and even when it was taken to Nokia, they did not open the phone. Apart from that, I have taken utmost care of the phone; no rough usage at all.
Now, it's pretty clear that the phone has had issues since day 1, and I've followed every instruction given by Nokia to hopefully fix my phone. Nokia on the other hand is hell bent on blaming the customer for the issues in the phone; also washing their hands off from fixing it within the warranty period since the supposed motherboard does not come under warranty, and has billed me Rs. 1200/- and asked for SEVEN day period to fix the phone, today being the second day of waiting period.
I do not understand why I have to pay Rs. 1200 to fix a brand new phone which has had issues since day 1, plus, why is Nokia so stubborn in proving that the customer is always wrong, a fool; and whatever the reps at Nokia Care say, are as accurate as it can be. Oh, not to forget the arrogant behaviour of the reps which make you embarrased infront of the others queued up to service their phone.
A truly apalling experience for a Nokia lover like me, do not think I'd ever buy a Nokia phone ever; even if given for free. I'd rather save myself the harrasment the reps intend to cause you.

P.S. I can give you the various acknowledgement, jobsheets, and IMEI number of my phone in case you need to retrieve any detail.

  • Be Very Careful When Choosing to use Nokia Care sy...

Up until the weekend of November 23rd, I had nothing but praise for Nokia after choosing their Nokia Lumia 720 Windows 8 Phone. I was wary of going with WP8 as it was less supported by third party software for apps compared with iOS and Android, but its functionality impressed me for its entry range standing as a model.
That weekend, after a series of Application and a phone update, the screen started experiencing issues with random movements of the screen making it unusable. Both soft resetting and resetting to factory defaults failed to resolve the issue, so on Monday November 25th, I contacted Nokia Care LIVE Chat via the support website to see if there was anything they could suggest to resolve the problem.
They advised me to take it to my locla registered Nokia Care Point, which was right near the train station I use to go to and from work, which I did the next day. Left the phone with them and was told to come back in an hour. I returned and they had managed to fix that issue, they had reloaded the phone's firmware and software to an "in the box" level, and for good measure replaced the screen and the speaker inside. I could not have been more happy with the service, it was quick and more then I could have hoped for.
Then sadly, during setting up the phone to use as it had been wiped, I noticed that the command buttons at the bottom of the phone were no longer lighting up as they had done before. I then noticed that the camera was not working, front or back, it was not being recognised by the phone and all I had was a back screen. I called the Nokia Care point and told them, they said no problem just bring it back and they will sort it. I did the next day, same thing, left the phone with them for an hour but this time, returned to the shop to be told "there is lots wrong with the phone, we need to send it back to Nokia and it could take one to two weeks to come back.
So my phone went in with one issue, not fixed 100%, returned to me broken and told "its all good" then within 24 hours my phone is made even more broken, so broken the registered and certified Nokia Care Point are unabe to correct the faults they made, and need to send it off for a full repair or replacement under the warranty.
Sounds simple doesnt it?  I took in a faulty phone, whcih was then made even more faulty by the Nokia Care Point, so when I contacted Nokia Care by LIVE Chat to say that I was unhappy with losing my phone, which was under warranty, for up to two weeks because of a botched repair attempt by their own certified Care Point and asked if I could have a replacement.
Then it got really messy. Was told that even though its under warranty, no replacement could be issued until the main repair centre had assessed the phone, check to see if they coud repair it, now for a 3rd time in seven days, before a decision would be made about if a replacement was justified. Even though it was their own Care Point which broke the phone requiring them to look at it in the first place. I was told to give it 48hrs for them to recieve the phone, which I did and contacted them on the Friday only to be told that my phone had not reached them yet.
Monday comes and I get a phone call from the Nokia Care Complaints team, which my case and complaint had been forwarded onto, telling me that my phone has yet to be assessed by the engineers. So no work had been done on the phone at all, so no decision could be made about a replacement. Tuesday ( today ) I get another call and this time the phone has been looked at but apparantly they are now waiting for a part for the phone, with no eta of delivery time, I repeat my request to have a replacement phone, saying that it should not be me as the customer that has to keep being patient for Nokia Care to rectify an issue with my phone that they created in the first place and that the very least they can do is offer me a replacement so I can carry on as normal whilst they sort out how the repair went so wrong in the first place, aso that the compensation offer of a £10 Nokia Music voucher for a service that is already free to Lumia users and then the offer of a bluetooth headset which the 720 doesnt have was equally pointless and that they should do better. Was told they would put the request in but again cant make a promise it will happen.
An hour a go I took a phonecall from the Nokia Complaints team asking me, which is redundant as I have no choice in the matter, to give them 24-48 hrs for them to complete they investigation or review of my case, so thar brings it to the end of this week meaning any replacement or return of a refitted repaired phone wont happen till at least next week, taking it to two weeks of not having a working phone since taking it to them on the 26th November.
So far, I have never been made to feel more worthless and valueless as a customer by any company whose products or services I have used. From the point at which my phone was made even worse by a failed repair by a certified and registered Nokia Care point to the utter nonsense of endless Nokia Care Customer service which hides behind policies designed to protect Nokia rather then the customer when it comes to repairs and faults.
I am left with no faith in any part of the Nokia Care system from the Care Points, to the service you receive via LIVE Chat on the Nokia Support site to using their Twitter support via @Nokiahelps to even speaking with their non UK Call centres. I have no faith that I will get a replacement phone even though the phone will have had so many new parts it might as well have just replaced instead of multiple repair and software reloads in the two weeks the phone will be out of my posession (factoring in the next week as I dont expect to see it returned or replaced)
I say to anyone looking to use Nokia Care, which your phone still in warranty, especially in the UK, is to go through the network provider your contract is with rather then direct with Nokia Care. I have encountered nothing but poor service and atrocious customer care in every regards for a problem that was originally a fault due to software updates but led to the Care Point taking the phone apart and creating new faults, something which Nokia Care still wont accept is a viable reason to replace the phone.
If you do have your phone repaired in a Nokia Care Point, make sure you test every aspect of the phone before you leave, but I suggest sending back via your contract provider. I hope what I have been through and continue to go through with this experience of Nokia's idea of Care, is enough warning to others and that no one else suffers similar issues.
    Regards
A No longer happy with Nokia Customer

Same here I have Lumia 920, 3 days after I bought it the device had an overheating problem and once the phone is off, I have to work hard to turn it on again, from soft resetting and hard resetting it After that I brought the phone to Nokia Care Center (I'm Indonesian by the way) in the NCC Branch in my province. 2 days after that, they told me that the problem was solved and asked me to take the phone. When I got there and the Costumer Service want to give me the phone, she try to turn on the phone, but she can't. She take the phone to a room (I don't know maybe it's the repairman room or whatever) and when she got out she told me that the problem is still exist and they will brought my phone to the NCC Center in other province. I have to wait for 2 weeks. Can you believe it? 2 weeks WITHOUT ANY PHONE? I have to buy another low-end phone that time.
After that the phone back to normal, But Then another problem come, after update my phone to Amber, my phone can't use Nokia Pro Cam (at that time, before Nokia Camera out), Bing Vision, Maps, Glance Screen, Auto Rotate, and GAMES. at first I just have to restart the phone to turn it back, but then the problem is not solved after I restart, even then, I did a hard reset but the problem is still there. Last friday, I brought my phone to the Nokia Care Center, they asked to take it the next day, but AGAIN! The problem is not solved, and they said I have to wait until the newest software update to come so the problem can be solved. Today, still no news or information from them, I don't know if I can trust Nokia Care Center again after this

  • Support sucks at Nokia Care Egypt ..................

Thanks to assist me to get a resolution for my problem with Nokia Care Egypt,& Raya Shop Egypt .The problem started since I've purchased 2 Phone Sets models[Lumia 620 : 2,000 L.E. & Lumia 920 : 4,999 L.E.] on date: 8th of April 2013,and  got a one year warranty from Raya included in the purchase. reciept number : 64980 from city stars branch .
-since I've turned on my Lumia 920 ;I've noticed that it restarts automatically with no reason ,and without notification
    - the temperature of the device is getting very high during:
    - normal 2G phone calls
    -Internet surfing
    -charging
-the mobile need to be charged every 4 hours even if not used;and just turned on .
-and finally;after only 20 days of usage the mobile has restarted and it halted on a Nokia logo and no response .
i have already handed the mobile to Nokia care Egypt on 30/4/2013 with receipt number : 1198584 . i wonder how Nokia factories provide a phone set witch has not been tested and get faulty just after 20 days .
I've already contacted Nokia care Egypt on phone number:19 576 ;and they informed me that they're waiting for my
approval for the phone format and data loss[while they've got this verbal approval on 6/5/2013 ];and they confirmed that the fault was software and they would hand me the phone on 22/5/2013 .
Then later on today ;I've been to the Nokia Care at Nasr City;and they informed me totally different story:
               -the problem is hardware
-they need to replace the whole board for the phone
-I've asked to hand me a written technical report with this ;and they refused ;and said that I cant have it till they hand me the mobile and make me sign off the delivery .
-I'd to write down another complaint [while the old one was not replied yet ] ,and got a photo copy for it .
I wont accept to have a hardware repaired phone with just only 20 days usage so either to have a new phone set or have my money back .
If I didn't receive an email reply to this message within 24 hours ;I'd start my legal suit against Nokia;and already have opened a complaint at the CPA ;and they just need to have the legal documents to start procedure.

    UPDATE
Just got my phone back from Nokia Care Egypt and they switched the motherboard (essentially meaning a new phone with a new IMEI minus the touch and the cover). As i said in my previous post they kept me waiting for 37 DAYS and after receiving the new phone it had Belle fp , OMG they didnt even bother to check on the SW and update it .. I mean dont they have a code of conduct or something. Anyway told them and then updated it now to the latest version.
Of course the next "Fight" will be on how to transfere the extended warranty i had with the old phone to the new one.
My verdict Nokia Care is incompetent and i dont recommend anyone to deal with them.

  • Nokia Care- N95 Support

I am having lots of problems with my N95. The handset keeps on shutting down or freezing without applications running. The handset is very unreliable and I feel I must reinstall my primary SIM into my trusty N80. For example if I try to accesss my voice mailbox by pressing and holding button 1 , the phone shuts down! I am constantly restarting the phone, sometimes having removed the battery for a few seconds. If i recieve a SMS, this often causes a problem.
I bought my N95 SIM free and am running software version 12 with a 2Gb memory card. I have had several S60 phones, so I am well aware of their limitations, but this is the worst one.
I have tried to contact Nokia Care on 0845 0455555. They keep you hanging on for ages, trying to speak to an Engineer ,only to be re-directed, before being cut off. They even promised to call me back, but they only said that to get rid of me!
So I tried to contact Nokia Care by e-mail. I got a standard computer generated reply, and it was obvious nobody ever bothered to read my e-mail!
All I want is to speak to someone about my problems to double check I am not doing anything wrong before I return the handset. Does anyone know who and how it is possible to speak with a qualified Nokia technician?
    Adrian Smith

First you could download some new software onto the phone, the new software is very reliable.

If that doesn't work the techinition you want is to go to a Nokia Service Centre.
They will repair free under it's 2 year warranty

  • Dust under screen of E71. Do Nokia care points eve...

Ok people bit of a moan really, which I need to get off my chest. I have taken 2 handsets to a Nokia care point and both times I have just walked out p****d off. This time I had an E71. It has a load of dust under the screen in the top left corner and also dust on the camera lens. When you activate the camera there is a black smudge in the top left of the picture. To be honest I noticed the dust after the first month but managed to ignore it. It has now got very bad and realising dust was on the camera lens was the last straw. The phone is under a year old by 3 months. It is in very good condition as I look after my phones, screen protectors etc and has the latest firmware on, version 400.
Now I emailed Nokia asking the best cause of action. I got this response:
"Thank you for contacting Nokia Care.
Sorry to hear that your E71 has a dust inside the screen. As much as we want to help you have a new replacement unit, we are not authorised to do so. We strongly suggest you to send your device on our respected Nokia Care Points. Please be advised that all assessments and repair services on our products are carried out at the Nokia Care Points. A qualified technician will assess your handset and repair it.  The phone will be covered under warranty provided you have your original proof of purchase and all standard warranty conditions are met."
Note the last bit as it will be important. I took the phone today and the bloke told me there would be a £45-50 charge to have the phone cleaned, which to be honest I really don't want as I'm guessing the same will happen again a month later. I've read people having exactly the same issue on this forum. Plus there is no way I'm paying that amount of money. Didn't even ask for proof of purchase by the way.
I then took it to my mobile provider shop where it has now been sent away for free. I thought I may as well. They told me they may replace the handset, which to be honest I hope they do.
Has anyone had this level of 'help' through Nokia care points? I just think it's disgusting. What's the point of these '2 year' warranties that Nokia offer with their phones when all the Nokia care points want is money from you!!
Any way rant over. I just hope my phone doesn't come back in worse condition than what I sent it off in, since there was not a scratch on it, just a lot of dust :-/
    Ben

send it to a nokia care centre dont attempt yourself it will void warranty if this shop is an official nokia store they will send it an official nokia centre
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
    Now using the Lumia 1520

I think NOKIA should implement a mechanism in order to ALLOW the tech-community, advanced users or what ever you want to call it to REPORT BUGS. Is the least we can expect when we invested our time to REPRODUCE AND VALIDATE an erratic behavior on their handsets.

  • WHY CANT APPLE GET CAR CONNECTORS FOR AMERICAN CARS

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT APPLE HAS AGAINST AMERICAN CAR MAKERS????? ONLY CAR ADAPTERS YOU CAN BUY IS FOR GERMAN AND JAPANESE CRAP. I JUST BOUGHT THE IPOD NANO, AND I CANT CONECT IT TO MY CADILLAC WITHOUT ELIMINATING MY CD CHANGER, OR HAVING TO PUT UP WITH CHANGING RADIO STATIONS ON THOSE FM TRANSMITTERS.... APPLE, HELP US AMERICANS OUT!!!! WE ARE PROBABLY 75% OF YOUR BUSINESS

Ok, so the subject of your post is the question, "why can't Apple get car connectors for American cars?".
I think the answer is simply that Apple doesn't control GM, Ford or Chrysler. As a matter of fact these companies make a TON more money than Apple and have a lot more power than Apple about what goes into their products.
It isn't fair to say it's Apple's responsibility to make cars compatible with the iPod. It's Apple's responsibility to make the iPod compatible with cars. And Apple HAS done that. Thats why several car companies are including a way to control the iPod off of THEIR factories.
The more forward thinking car companies with the most recent designs have been doing this. Even if Cadillac came out with a CTS that works with your iPod tomorrow would you go out and buy that new CTS just so you could work your iPod off the steering wheel or whatever? OR, would you rather go get a great aftermarket Alpine or Kenwood? Both of which have decided it would be in their best to make devices which are compatible with the iPod.
Chevy recently came out with a new car design - the HHR - which does this. I seriously, seriously doubt Steve Jobs called Bob Lutz (the CEO of Chevy) and said "Hey Bob, you'd better start making cars that work with the iPod because it's our responsibility to force you to do that. And if you don't you're gonna be in big trouble mister".
What leverage does Apple have to force GM to do anything?
More than likely, the engineers at Chevy (being bright individuals) said, "hey, lets make this really cool hip car work with a really cool hip mp3 player so we can sell more of these cars". It's in Chevy's best interest to do that.
My turn to ask you a question.
How should Apple go about forcing GM, Chevy and Ford to build in iPod controls?
Remember, the iPod already has this funcionality as evidence by the new HHR, Nissans, BMWs, Ferraris and others at this site:
    http://www.apple.com/ipod/ipodyourcar/
Again, I recommend that if you want CADILLAC to change their cars, ask CADILLAC - not Apple. Apple did it's part with the iPod (as evidenced at the above link).
    Think about it.
