Why is it now, when I try to login my gmail account, it is trying to force me to download a file connected to the page?

As soon as I try to log into gmail, instead of entering the service. It is trying to force me to download a page or file from gmail.

If you want to use the email address that you used on the first account then you will need to remove it from that first account before you can do so e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's or via http://appleid.apple.com - you can create a new email address via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com to replace it with.

I updated my email address on my itunes account, I verified the email I received. Now when I try to sign on, i get a notice that I need to verify my email address, i click the link and it says email address already verified. I cant access my acct.

I have just re-installed itunes. The previous use is still listed. When I try to login with my account, Apple says to view my account. When I do that, it revers back to the other user. How do I get the other user off of my system so that I can use mine

Icloud is synched to the wrong apple ID and the password was unknown to me, after answering the security questions I was able to reset it. Now when I try to login on my ipad to delete the icloud associated to that apple ID it keeps telling me its wrong?

I bought a new Ipad and backup all my info form ym old one to my itunes. I set it up but now for soem reason by icloud on my new ipad is set up an old apple ID account I have never used. After answering security questions I was able to reset my password but when i try to use it on my new ipad to delete hte icloud it keeps telling me its wrong.
Any way I can go around it or is there another process I need to do before the ipad starts recognizing hte new password I set for the old apple Id account?

It sounds like the new iPad, had a previous owner. If you don't recognize the email for the Apple ID on your iPad, then it was registered to another person.
If it was, you can't use it and should return it.

Perform these steps on a computer,

Thunderbird stopped downloading emails from the web server and now when I try to add a new account I get a message to say it cannot find the email server.

Thunderbird was working and then for no reason it stopped downloading emails from the web server. I can access my emails in the web server okay. I have tried to remove my account and then add it again as a new account but I get a message saying that Thunderbird cannot find the email server. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird but with the same result. I have also tried to remove the default mail server but have been unable to do so. How can I fix this?

I figured out a workaround.... Since I can get e-mails to populate via iSync and my other computer is running Leopard (it's a powerpc chip and can't run Snow Leopard), I added the account on the other computer and got the new account to populate into my SL machine with iSync. I don't like that I can't actually add the account directly, but at least this got me working.

An unknown error has occurred when I try to login my apple account

As has been reported in numerous posts in these forums it's a widespread problem, which doesn't appear to be related to any security or other updates. Evidently there is an issue with Apple's servers and it's a question of waiting for them to fix it.

I upgraded to snow lepord and now when i try to open some of my pictures i get a "!". the pictures show in the thumbnails, so I know the are there but the wont open

If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.

The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.
