Why is my AE port-scanning my Macbook from port 53?
I got a Macbook Pro for Xmas, so I setup my Airport Extreme Base Station (AE) again. I also have my old iMac connected to the AEB LAN port, although it's asleep most of the time.
The MB's log shows stealth-mode port-scanning from 10.0.0.1:53 (i.e., the AE) every 4 seconds or so. I assume it's the AEBS itself that's doing this, since the iMac is asleep.
What's going on?
I got an answer (sort of) from Apple engineering.
Port 53 is used for DNS, and it's "normal and harmless" for the AEBS (that older model at least -- don't know about newer ones) to do this. No explanation as to why.

Make sure you have the Quicktime Player 7 installed. It was an option when installing Lion. Or you can get it here: QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later. Install it, reboot and try again.

I would like to upgrade my macbook from 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) to Mountain Lion. However, app store said that my macbook is not compatible with Mountain Lion? Why does the internet on my new macbook pro not work when my old macbook's does? I'll have to turn the wifi off and back on multiple times to get the internet to continue to work on my Macbook Pro (running mountain lion but did it on lion also) when it runs fine on my old white Macbook (running lion). Is there something I can do to fix it or do I just have to deal with it?

And it should go to your user folder/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
if you have one already you can rename either one ..
and then go to system preferences - displays - color to select the profile .
you will get rid of the blue tint while keeping correct color and gamma
This is for the newer 2010 MBP's altho if same display was used might also give good results in the previous models as well . . -
When i scan my ipod from the application named find my ipod touch 4 it simply shows location unavailable while that of my cousin's ipod touch exactly shows the same location..... Why does that happen???
When you go to the Google Maps app on the iPod does it correctly find your location? The iPod's locations service uses the location of the a nearby wifi router to locate te iPod. However, not all routers are in Apple's database and as of yet nobody here knows of a way to add routers to the database.

What more do you need to know, when you deploy planning you will see that there is a "Java RMI Registry" service/process, this runs on port 13333. The planning adaptor communicates with the RMI registry and that then communicates with planning. If you need to know more then search for "Java RMI" on the internet.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, when your MacBook Pro wakes from sleep, the internal keyboard and/or trackpad are slow to respond. However, in your comments, you mention a bluetooth keyboard finder launches.
Since your internal keyboard and trackpad are not bluetooth devices, I think this may be the issue. In the resource below, take a look at the section I have highlighted, and see if deselecting the option to allow Bluetooth devices to wake the computer" resolves your issue.

Check your system’s Bluetooth settings:
Bluetooth devices can wake your Mac. If you don’t want a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse to be able to wake the Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth.
Click Advanced, then deselect “Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer.”
If that option is already deselected, try turning your Bluetooth off if you are not working with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
