Go to the Settings app and check under General, International and see what language is set. Even if it correctly set, reset it.
If that doesn't work, try a rest of the iPad: hold down the On and Home buttons simultaneously until it shuts down. Ignore the Off slider if it appears. This will take 10 - 15 seconds or so. After it shuts down completely, press the On button to restart.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles. 
NOTE: Establish a habit of exiting/closing Firefox with Firefox button > Exit or File > Exit to allow an orderly shutdown of Firefox and closing of all of the files that Firefox has open.

I've implemented a search class, which allows customers to search folders/documents by name, owner, description, etc.
And here's the problem: if description contains non-English (Russian, in my case) characters, search does not work! Everything (AS infrastructure, CM SDK DB, etc) was installed using UTF-8 Unicode charset. When I debug the code, I see that when I build AttributeQualification and later compose a comples SearchQualification, value in these is correct, but when I call getSQL(), I see string like this:
... ( nls_upper(ALIASDOCUMENT.DESCRIPTION) LIKE nls_upper('????') ) ...
So it seems as if SQL converted passed UNICODE value into ANSI string, and since server's system language is English, my Russian letters were lost -- ?
Can anybody shed some light here? Is there a way to search for UNICODE descriptions (and content, for that matter)?

Why is the background color not applied in one case?

Hi,
I'm using RH 7 and WebHelp.
I apply a TableHeading style to the first row of my tables. The TableHeading style is supposed to fill the cells of the first row with a background color of blue, and the text is in white. It works fine except for one table. I think TableHeading style was not applied in the Word document when I imported this topic. I tried to apply the TableHeading style to the first row, and it says it is applied in the HTML. But, the background blue does not fill the cells.

I don't understand why the TableHeading style is not applying the background color for the one table. I'm guessing I could just add it to the code using the HTML editor. However, I wasn't sure if that was the best way to fix this problem or if I would create another problem.

Thanks for your answer, and I will go ahead and add the background color to the problem table.
However, I am still puzzled as to why the background color is applied to the cells in the other tables and not the problem table. I'm not sure what I did to cause the problem - how I applied the TableHeading to the table cell in one case and not the other. Any ideas how I can avoid this problem?
I will not use the Word documents going forward and will only make changes with the RH editor.

Sub-menus not showing??

I have this main menu...
eg.
File | Edit | Transactions | Help
these have their own submenus. i have put in all the submenu
items also.
eg. <File> has Name, Age, Address
however they dont show up when i run the form. only the main
menu shows.
but clicking on the individual menu items doesnt drop and menu
or show the sub-menu.
i dont know why?

PDF description not populating..

When i attch a PDF to a record its all good with thumbnail getting generated..BUT the issue OR question is How can we display the description of PDF ..
For e.g when we save any file on our desktop or any folder we get description of that document next to it ..
Also when we attach any document in email we get description of afile attached..
Why is that so Its not in MDM.????..When i checked the PDF table in console all the fields( for eg filed --Display Field) in PDF table are greyed out and i cannot edit them(Repository is unloaded)..
What could be the issue?

I agree with you that it should show the description but i dont think it supports that way.

I know it wasn't much to go on but I got your attention!
I work for a charity and use a program called "Donor Perfect".
It has a feature that when you generate a report it gives you the option to export to MSWord, Excel, and PDF.
Below is the step by step description of what happens.
After log on ......
     1. Click on Reports
     2. Listings
     3. Report Category(any)
     4. Select Record type(any)
     5. Select report options (any selection filter that fits or Build a filter) and sort order(any)
     6. Enter title (accordingly)
     7. Click on Preview
     8. When next screen opens with report visible - in "Report Print preview" line above report choose PDF icon
     9. Export to PDF window opens
     10. click on Page range-ALL
     11. What to print-All pages in Range
     12. Save as C:\DPW32\dpsumm.pdf
     13. collate
     14. number of copies(1)
     15. Click on "Screen"
     16. Click on "Display Conversion Status"
     17. Then "OK"
     18. After conversion status reaches "100%" nothing happens -screen does not change!
Then I minimize DP screen and I go to Start menu
     1. Click on Start
     2. Then "My Computer"
     3. Local Disk "C"
     4. Dpw32
     5. Look for "dpsumm" file with today's date
     6. Size of file says 0 KB and that's it!!!!
In previous versions of DP (8 and 9)
the PDF would open on the screen as soon as the Step 18 was finished, then I could save it with an identifying name to a different folder and use it as an attachment that a Donor could receive by e-mail.
I hope I can get back to that because now I have to convert to "Word" (Which takes a long time)then from that I have to create PDF from Acrobat. too many steps ..... if I have 20-30 reports it's too cumbersome.

Binary images description not available

I scanned some pages from a book on my Epson scanner which converted them to jpg files. I then tried to import those images into iPhoto to clean up the edges but it won't import. Every time the program crashes. I've restarted and repaired permissions. Below are the problem details that are sent to Apple. Increasing number of apps not in english

I am a long time user of apple products and iTunes / App Store etc.
Recently I have noticed an increasing number of apps appearing on UK App Store with titles and descriptions in foreign languages and character sets ( ie Chinese)
Naturally I cannot read these ... And what's worse they are cluttering up lists of apps I am looking at, and wasting my time when I open up others that seem ok on the app list, only to find chunks of textual description in say Chinese
Is anyone else getting frustrated by this increasing issue?
Please Apple, get a grip! On the UK sites please at least restrict to English character sets, and preferably perform checks to verify descriptions are in English. If this is not resolved then my visits to the AppStore will decline rapidly .

Oh don't be so daft!
The uk is a multicultural nation speaking in many tongues which is all part of what makes us a great nation
In order to get on we have to communicate via ... Err. Language!
The common language that glues this nation together is English!
The rest if the world and it's languages are on the rise which is just 'evolution', understandable and fine
All I want is to see (or at least be able to filter down to ) apps for the uk written is something that I can understand ...in these busy times I don't want to waste time trawling irrelevant information!!
So.. This request/question is about simple workflow functionality, language and absolutely nothing to do with race whatsoever ever !!!!
Out of interest I work with a very large workforce of Indian professionals from all across India .... Guess what the common language used is ?..... Yup ... English!

Audio description not working

I seem to have the opposite problem to most people here, judging by previous posts. I want AD to work. Occasionally, when a programme is marked AD, there is no AD on it. Tonight is a case in point. Dirk Gently episode 3 on BBC4, no audio description. We know that it should be there because it has worked on the first two episodes. This is not the first time we have experienced this, so can someone explain why AD is sometimes simply not there when it should be.

It seems I have a red light in my headphoneplug. It says that is an indication of the wrong driver installed on the system. But Windows have installed it automatically. Do someone have any idea?
