Why is there only proper support for professional users

1. I have 4 HP printers, 1 wireless and 1 wired at home and 2 wired at my office.
Wheneven I want to switch between my office printers and  my home printers I have to reinstall the entire HPL Solution Center to get my wireless printer to work because HP Solution Center only knows USB and wired. {content removed} is this an idea to sell more printers.
I've placed this question on the board several times without any response and now I'm sick of it. (content removed) as a developer myself I know this can't take more than 3 days to rewrite since all components are proprely named. At least I hope your developers are at least that smart.
I'm tired of reinstalling you software every time I switch printers. {content removed}
2. why is commercial support only done by communities and you need to pay to get some real support? is it because you only care about your paycheck {content removed}

  • Why is there no eprint support for open document formats, such as those produced by openoffice

Why doesn't the eprint service support open document formats? This should be a minimal requirement!

Sorry, as important as this issue is to all of us who use Firefox, this is a Firefox support forum - not an appropriate place to start a discussion like this.
I'm locking this thread for two other reasons though. <br />

  • Why is there only one Operating Concern defined in GBI?

    Hi all,
I have the following question: when looking at the CO structure of the GBI case study, why is there only one, global operating concern defined? According to the definition of an OC, it is the level whereupon profitability analysis is performed. So why is in GBI that has two very distinct business areas not at least two OCs defined (one per business area), if not more (per product)?
As a follow-on, what is then the relation between OC and Controlling Area? I am looking for a plain English explanation that I can also use for teaching purposes.
Thank you in advance for reading!
    Regards,
    Gerhard

    Hi Gerhard,
I hope my reply is not too late.
I agree with you.  Profitability analysis is typically done at a detailed level - by market segments, which may be defined by geographical segments, customer groupings, product groupings, salesforce grouping, etc.  CO-PA does support profitability analysis at such detailed levels.
After defining an operating concern and activating it, the system generates a series of database tables for the operating concern.  I took a screenshot of the (partial) structure of the "master" table for the global GBI operating concern, GL00, from the GBI 2.2 system I am using, below:
As you can see, with such a table structure, CO-PA is capable of capturing profitability information at a very detailed level for reporting and analysis.
You may also notice that operating concern is not a field in the table.  The reason is, the entire table (as well as its related tables in the same series) is used only for operating concern GL00.  Its name is even hard-coded in the last 4 characters of the names of these tables.  When CO-PA reports are executed in SAP ECC, they retrieve data from only one series of tables, i.e., only data of only one operating concern can be reported.
Back to your question: Why is there only one operating concern and not two?  The wisdom of defining one global operating concern is that profitability data of both controlling areas (Europe and North America) will be updated into the same series of database tables and reported together.  If there had been two separate operating concerns for the two controlling areas, there would have been two series of database tables, making profitability analysis across the two areas difficult, if not impossible.
Let me know if you need further clarifications.

  • Proper support for Fuji EXR Raw Files

There is still no proper support for Fuji  EXR Raw files.  On any Fuji X-series camera, the in-camera raw processing, including specifying options always outputs a far superior image that Adobe Camera Raw 6.  I've been using an X100 for some time now, and have really gathered some great images with it. But Adobe Camera Raw fails miserably to understand how to process these files.
This is more of a complaint and feature request than a question, because I already know the answer. Adobe has not worked close enough, or at all, with Fuji to develop a Raw processor for the EXR pixel layout.
The EXR pixel arrangement offers new possibilities, especially the ability to take an HDR image of a moving subject, and without a tripod. The elimination of the low-pass filter allows for more sharpness, and finally the noise pattern is much more "film-like".
I've been using Adobe Photoshop for processing images for years, but have no compelling reason to upgrade without a proper conversion for Fuji RAW files.
Adobe: Please work with Fuji to bring world-class support for EXR Raw images.
    Thank you,
    William

    Good day!
Adobe has not worked close enough, or at all, with Fuji to develop a Raw processor for the EXR pixel layout.
There seems to be a reason why Adobe has to reverse engineer RAW formats – the camera manufacturers don’t want their customers to use Adobe (and other) software to process their RAW files. (If their proprietary software gets better results then that’s understandable, but for how long are they going to support their own software?)
Now maybe Fuji is more cooperative than others, but do you know that for certain?
I've been using Adobe Photoshop for processing images for years, but have no compelling reason to upgrade without a proper conversion for Fuji RAW files.
If the new/improved features of Photoshop CS6 have no significance for the way you process, manage, edit and touch-up photographs feel free to stick with whatever version of Photoshop you use currently, but be aware that hardware/OS changes on your side may some day make that version inoperable on your set-up.
Also the upgrade path has been cut down to one version, if I understand correctly.
Anyway, this is a beginners Forum, feature requests might be better posted over at

  • Why is there no FLAC support in iTunes?

Why is there no support for flac in quicktime/iTunes ? It is a major mistake as you are leaving many of us tape traders/ OCD music collectors out in the cold. As "serious" as Apple is at supporting us professional users with wonderful programs like Logic, Final Cut and Aperture, you forget that we use iTunes too. SUPPORT FLAC!
    -Josh

Sorry, but we're all just your fellow users here, so none of us have any insight into why Apple includes or leaves out any given feature. If you want to make a suggestion to Apple, the best place (since there's currently no feedback page for the iTunes application) would be through the Mac OS X feedback page.

  • Why doesn't elements 12 have 64 bit support for PC users?

Why doesn't elements 12 have 64 bit support for PC users? Most PC's these days are shipped with far more than 2GB of RAM. This move seems very limiting to those with high demands for RAM. Image sizes are only getting larger meaning more RAM needed for adjustments and editing. I have been putting off buying elements 11 waiting to see if 12 had 64 bit support and I am very disappointed to find it doesn't. I can't see myself buying 12 unless a 64 bit for PC is launched soon.

    Update? It's a major release, ain't it?
Mac got the 64-bit. Why? From Pete Green's announcement:
A handful of features from previous versions are not available in Photoshop Elements 12 due to new product support for 64-bit systems.
But, of course, Windows users have no such need...

  • Why is there only one automated audio fader at head and none at tail of some audio clips?

When I select "Show audio animation," top left of an audio clip, on some sections I have two knobs... one at the head for fade in, and one at the tail for fade out. Why is there only one on some of the audio clips and not both? I've set up the clips the same, regarding audio animation, and some have faders at head, but not tail. How do I make another fader at the tail of a clip? Or why doesn't it automatically behave like the other audio clips that DO have two faders? I don't know what I'm doing to make them act differently.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Tom,
Thanks for reply. I'm attaching screen shots. For some reason my pointer didn't show up with a normal screen grab. Don't understand. Anyway, several versions are attached. There isn't one hidden on the right beyond the frame that pops out when I put my pointer there (or any tool). Strange.

  • Canvio External HDD HDWC130XK3J1 -Is There Really No Support For This?

I bought a Toshiba Canvio 3TB external HDD USB 3 model number:  HDWC130XK3J1.
When I access the Product Support page of Toshiba, there is no model number for the HDWC130XK3JI (but there is for an HDWC120XK3J1).
Is there really no support for the 3 TB model?  For example, how do I go about making a warranty claim when the warranty tab  - Enter your Serial Number and / or Model-Part Number (computer, tablet, TV only) - will not even recognise my serial number?  Very frustrating!
    Solved!

  • Is there any planned support for the "do not back up" extended attribute for iOS

Starting in iOS 5.0.1, Apple has introduced a new "do not back up" extended file attribute that will allow an app to store downloaded data into the application folder.  Is there any planned support for setting this attribute within an AIR application or is there currently a way to set this attribute using the existing AIR SDK.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm wondering too. Without it, we can't build any apps that download content without the risk of the content being deleted.
Here's the background before Apple introduced the new "do not back up" attribute:
    http://www.marco.org/2011/10/13/ios5-caches-cleaning
Fortunately, Apple addressed it after that blog post in 5.0.1. See bullet #4 here, quoted below
    https://developer.apple.com/icloud/documentation/data-storage/
Q:  My app has a number of files that need to be stored on the device permanently for my app to function properly offline. However, those files do not contain user data and don't need to be backed up. How should I store those files in iOS 5?
A: Starting in iOS 5.0.1 a new "do not back up" file attribute has been introduced allowing developers to clearly specify which files should be backed up, which files are local caches only and subject to purge, and which files should not be backed up but should also not be purged. In addition, setting this attribute on a folder will prevent the folder and all of its contents from being backed up.
Important: The new "do not back up" attribute will only be used by iOS 5.0.1 or later. On iOS 5.0 and earlier, applications will need to store their data in <Application_Home>/Library/Caches to avoid having it backed up. Since this attribute is ignored on older systems, you will need to insure your app complies with the iOS Data Storage Guidelines on all versions of iOS that your application supports.
Now we just need Adobe to support the attribute in the AIR SDK. What do you say Adobe?

Because the content providers have not released it for your country. I am guessing you are not in the US.
This is nothing to do with Apple.

    Hi.
Can you find the "Comments" field into the Metadata? Because I don't find it and when I write something in the box Aperture tells me that the box is "unlink" from the metadata...
How can I add a (free) comment to my photos in a book?

  • HT201210 Why iphone 3g has no support for ios 5 + ..please allow us to download..

Why iphone 3g has no support for ios 5 + ..please allow us to download..
Please do anyhow. .anything ...you are the creater of apple.. I know you can do it. .please do anything that iphone 3g will support ios 5 ro greater than that..

The 3G was discontinued over 2yrs ago.
The 3GS was only discontinued about a month ago.
Apple made the decision that the 3G would not get anything newer than 4.2.1 because of reasons only they know.
    Griping about it is pointless.
Speculating about why is against the terms of use of these forums.
The device is ancient... either accept that it will never get an update and live with it or buy something newer.
