Why is this photo not staying where I place it?

I have a photo basically of a wood frame that I want to put around a youtube video. It works on all browsers except chrome. check it out

Because the text frame containing "Here at Mickel Log Home Services, we take videos to give you a visual experience of we we do here." line breaks differently in different browsers. It's three lines in Firefox and probably in Muse and 2 lines in Chrome. Since every browser has it's own text layout engine, these sorts of differences are unavoidable.
However, you can plan ahead for these variations by being very aware of text frame heights in Design view.
If a text frame is exactly the height of the text in Muse Design view, then if line breaks change in the browser and the text frame need to be taller, it will grow and shift things below it down. In your layout because of how the picture frames are done versus the videos this results in the videos being pushed down but not the frames.
The easiest fix is to simply make the text frame one line taller than the amount of text displayed in Muse Design view. This will reserve enough exra space for the text frame that if/when it line breaks to be one line longer in the browser it will still fit in the designed height and nothing below will be moved.

Let me expand on this: I have 570 photos in a slide show and all are properly referenced in my library. In the slideshow window, I can see all the pics in the bottom box and when I run "preview slideshow", certain pictures don't appear in the top box whilst the curser moves across the picture in the bottom box. Hello Tony and thank you. I regenerated and rebuilt thumbnails; I deleted the slide show and rebuilt it; nothing works. Now, I noticed something weird. All pictures are in an Aperture project and are properly referenced as I said; all the pictures in this project come from a old iPhoto project where some of the pictures are in a "Modified" folder, others in an "Original" project; it is all the pictures in the "Original" project that don't show up in the slide show.... Do you have any idea what I should do?

So why is this query not using the index on the 'STATUS' Column?
I've already tried using optimizer hints and regathering the stats on the table, but the execution plan still remains the same, i.e. it still uses a FTS.
I have tried this command also:-
exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('GECS','GEPS_CS_SALES_ORDER_HEADER',method_opt=>'for all indexed columns size auto',cascade=>true,degree=>4);
inspite of this, the query is still using a full table scan.
The table has around 55 Lakh records, across 60 columns. And because of the FTS, the query is taking a long time to execute. How do i make it use the index?

If the cardinality is really as skewed as that, you may want to look at putting a histogram on the column (sounds like it would be in order, and that you don't have one).

The icons in the Dock are aliases. If iPhoto isn't launching from the dock the alias may be broken. What you can do is first test to if iPhoto is working by launching the app from the Applications folder. Once you have determined iPhoto is OK then remove the old Dock icon by holding it down and dragging it to the desktop, it will disappear in a puff of smoke. Then go to the Applications folder and drag the iPhoto icon to the Dock and test it.

Dock Icons will not stay in their place (CPU?)

I have been having an issue with random dock icons not staying in their place. I move an icon to a place that makes it arranged correctly in terms of grouping or importance and it "slides" back to it's original place almost immediately. Or I will move one and start arranging and all of a sudden one will slide to the right side or something.
I finally got a chance to troubleshoot this and did a google search.
I have for a very long time had DOCK SYNC TURNED OFF.
Now I have gotten into the MBP and LOGGED OUT of my MobileMe account and it STILL does this. It has been happening since I bought the computer new. I have other issues related to battery life and beachballs and hot computer or hot power charger of loud fan so I put another 4 GIGS in the machine recently so that it now has 8.
Mac phone support says they want to walk me through checking the CPU but I have done this routine like three times on this computer where I set up a User Account and I have done a FRESH INSTALL twice since I bought it. Last week I finally caught a break in the schedule to bring it in and they say the Hardware is fine.
I mean, it is odd but I don't consider this machine to be what I would consider a "pro" line but at the same time I see that this dock thing is happening on my MacPro (albeit while I am still logged into my MobileMe account).
Thoughts or suggestions? I don't want to take the time to bring it in if I don't have to.

Technical details on why DSL modem does not stay synched

I would greatly appreciate if a technically knowledgeable individual would explain why DSL modems lose synch with the central office. Sometimes the modem can stay connected all day without one interruption. And sometimes the modem will lose synch several times in one hour. Why does this happen? Is this just due to noise on the line or are there more technical explanations for this situation?
In my case, I have a Westell 6100G modem. My DSL service is 1 Mbps. These are my typical statistics

Basically the modem has a sliding scale as to the Variance in it's Signal to Noise Ratio.    These are measured in Decibals.
The variance comes from line conditions, so typically this is affected by a lot of things, moisture in the air at night or in the morning, condensation on the telephone lines, heat and cold expanding and contracting the copper wiring, so depending on conditions in the field that are environemental in nature, the line will fluctuate it's signal. This particular problem is between the CO And your house only so there isn't a issue with other users affecting your service at all, but the quality of the line outside. There are several break points that a technician can look at to find the problem, and there are SEVERAL things that they could change in order to fix the problem, HOWEVER if they change it to interleave provisioning, it is designed to do auto correction on the line, and if the line is not severely affected, it will compensate and correct all those problems. There are instances where interleave provisioning can not fix those issues, and that means that your trouble could be more severe than you though, and then a VZ technician would have to go out and start isolating where the problem is. They will test in the Central office, in the outside plant and then ultimately back at your house.
8/10 times interleave provisioning will fix a problem like that for 1.5 mb customers and lower speed tiers.   higher speed tiers are a little tricker.

Why does my project not stay rendered ?

Hi, things are generally going swimmingly.
However, after rendering for smooth play of titles and fx and then closing, upon opening the project again, the render is gone and I must render again. Is this the norm? Why don't those areas stay rendered. I understand that if I change a title or transition, it will be necessary to render. It's just annoying to have to render each time I open the project.
Also, I get occasional messages that there is a major problem and Adobe has to close. Which it does.

You are correct that the Rendering should "stick," no matter how many times you Close/Open the Project, or reboot the computer. Still, some users report issues with the Renders sticking.
For starters, the Renders are basically "proxy files," that PrE (or PrPro) uses for smoothest playback. These files are linked to in the Project file, the PREL in PrE, or the PRPROJ file, in PrPro. Sometimes, those links can be broken, and for various reasons. Usuallly, if the link is broken, the program will ask "Where is Render file _____.AVI?" though not always. In most of the cases of "missing" Render files, no dialog screen appears.
Some of the elements that can contribute to the missing Renders are:
External HDD's used for the Scratch Disks
Networked drives used for the Scratch Disks
Some totally unknown problem
The first two are usually obvious, when the question, "where are your Scratch Disk files located?" but for the third, its a mystery, and fortunately only affects a few users. If there is no issue with #'s 1, or 2, then it's a case of # 3. Do #'s 1, or 2, apply in your case?
If it's any consolation, it seems that # 3 also happens with PrPro CS4 and CS5, and even Adobe does not have a cause, or fix. From following these issues, when # 3 hits, there seems to be nothing in common, between the Projects of those, who are "bitten." Each case seems different, and many of those users only have it with a single Project. The next half-dozen will stay Rendered. So far, it's been impossible to track this down, or even identify a Project, where it is likely to happen.
Sorry that I do not have more to offer, other than to say, either Re-render, or if it's not really necessary, let it go. I have many Projects, where playback is adequate, and I do not bother to Render, while I have others, especially with a lot of Keyframed animation, where I might Render a section dozens of times, while I adjust things.

Why do some photos not appear in the book I am creating?

I am composing two books at the moment and will want to order them shortly.
The problem I have is that, sometimes the photos do not appear when you drag them into the book - it just shows an exclamation mark. However if you look at the layout in the top section, it appears.
The photos not showing are either very high-res digital pictures from a professional photographer or scanned photos, but the scanned ones are of similar (OK) quality and identical resolution to others which are visible.
I am worried what will happen when I go to order the book - will these pictures not upload?
Does anyone know why this is happening or a fix?

sometimes the photos do not appear when you drag them into the book - it just shows an exclamation mark.
The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder in the Finder.
Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

There seems to be a block with the Internet server in the United States as other Internet and cell servers i.e. Verizon and Century-Link DSL work with Mac, Andriod and PC. It just seems to be Mac on Comcast that is not...
Without more data I'm inclined to say it's more likely to be Comcast itself, rather than 'Macs on Comcast'.
For example, do other devices (PCs, Android, iOS) on that Comcast network also have problems connecting? or do they connect fine?
I'd expect that any device at that network has a problem, which indicates a problem with Comcast. It might be their DNS not resolving properly, or them not routing data correctly, but that should be your focus.
Perform a DNS lookup on the www.gordonbennett2012.ch hostname. What result do you get? Is it the expected address?
If that returns the right address, what do you get with a traceroute?
That will test the routing befween your system and the server, and may indicate other problems on the network.

Why is this happening ?

1. check that all services are running on all nodes. Actually, you service should run only on preffered node
srvctl status service -d db_name
2. restart services

Why the "This photo is unavailable" message?

My Skype version: 7.0.80.102 (latest)
Win XP version: 2002, Service Pack 3
When i send or recieve image I get the "This photo is unavailable" msg (with a cross in the image placeholder)?
I've not come across any solution in this forum.
ruwim mentioned the problem is depended on IE version.
My version is 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp.080413-2111.
Is there anyone who can help me out with my problem?

Why is my ipad3 not staying connected to and remembering my password to router

After upgrading to ios 6.0.1 my ipad3 has a few problems.
1. The internet is slow slow slow...to connect to even common websites, like Apple, Google etc.
2. It is not staying connected to my router for wireless and is forgetting the password for
   connection to the router.
Other computers(ipad1 and pc's) in the house do stay connected and do not have the slowness to
connect to sites.
I have done resets, cleared history and cookies and so on but nothing seems to make any
difference.
Appreciate any advice.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button
