Why isn't iCal the same?

I have a the new Macbook Pro and iPod Touch.
I was wondering why the Macbook, iPod and Mobile Me all have different iCal versions?
I mean when it comes to adding or editing a event, you don't get all the same options at all 3 spots?

SO the mapping is like below:

So is it possible?. NO. SO you must follow the sequence.

Seriously, I have a full version of Creative Suites2 premium that I was told would be the last version I need to buy..... So I would like my version loaded on my Mac Pro!

I bought 3 films and none of them had subtitles or alternative languages: why? I paid full price (like a dvd) without the same options. Why should I pay the same price? What I want is to change languages or to have subtitles (Kung Fu Panda2 and Rise..apes

You can't change languages in any of the movies offered in the store. Some movies have subtitles but it is in the same language as the movie.
Depending on what country you are in, you may get movies in that countries native language.

Personally I think the iOS devices are poor at reconnecting - Airplay establishes that a link is available but when the iPhone/iPad has been away from the house and rejoins the network i think AppleTV already thinks it's connected with a different IP address and fails to recognise it has joined the network again with new credentials.
Something along those lines anyway.
I find that a combination of restarting AppleTV, router and iOS device tends to fix it, but not for everyone.

May i ask why all linksys have the same password. i just edit my password. some one did hack in to my router. next time you make a router. give password out that not the same. some just hack in to my. it fix now. i lost net for 3hr.

You have to understand that linksys produces an amazing amount of routers. They frequently come out with new models and revisions. It would be a very confusing process for each model/version to have a different username and password.
Using a shared default username and password makes the life of computer techs easier because we know what it will be, assuming the user hasn't changed the defaults.
It's absolutely your responsibility to change your default password when you setup your router. Just as it's essential to setup security on your wireless router when you install it. If you're router is being hacked from the outside I would greatly recommend setting up WPA encryption on your router to help stop this in the future.

Having one iOS that works across several platforms is one of the advantages of the iOS system. This allows developers to produce one software product instead of several and reduces development time and costs. This is a fundamental difference between iOS and Android operating systems where operating system varieties impede development.

Why does facetime only use a wireless network; isn't 3G the same thing?

I thought buying an iPad2 with wifi+3g would give me constant internet time. Why does facetime only work with a wifi network? Shouldn't the 3G "kick in" if there is no WiFi around?
My other problem is in the Photo's section: I've looked at the tutorials and read the sections on photo's in the ipad manual and I still cannot figure out how to label an album?
Any help in both of these areas would be greatly appreciated...Thank You!!

Yes.
Photos in the iPad's Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. These photos are included with the iPad's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, but if these photos aren't imported by your computer and a problem develops with your iPad's backup in regards to this data and you restore your iPad with iTunes if wanted or needed, kiss these photos goodbye. The same if your iPad is lost or stolen and not replaced with another.
As with any other photos on your computer that are organized by events or albums selected to be transferred to your iPad, import these photos with your computer and organize the imported photos in the same way you organize any other photos imported from a digital camera, etc. Select the albums under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences followed by a sync.
This way you have the photos available on your computer's hard drive for access there as well along with being organized as you prefer, and which can be included with your computer's backup along with all other data.

Why does Premiere render the same sequence sometimes fast and sometimes really slow?

I use Premiere Pro CC 2014.
I have a Nvidia GTX 590
Intel Core i7 X990 @ 3.47GHz
24GB RAM
Windows 7 (64)
200GB free space on an SSD drive and 2 more drives with each 1TB free.
I'm having trouble with performance when rendering sequences.
The sequences themselves are pretty simple. They contain MOV files from my Canon EOS 5D Mark III and transparent PNG files as overlays for titles and additional graphics.
I also use lumetri looks and have turned on Cuda rendering. As a codec for exporting I use H264 (fullhd, 25fps, 20mbits, 2pass, max render quality, max depth)
Whether or not I export in Premiere or via AME doesn't matter, the problem stays the same.
Now, when I start exporting, at one point, which is seemingly random (sometimes at 35%, sometimes at 60%, sometimes at 2% - I'm talking about the same sequence!) rendering becomes really really slow (~1 hour for a 3min video), and I don't understand why. I keeps slow until the whole sequence is finished. But before that, rendering was fast!
But sometimes, I'm lucky, and - after restarting my computer and Premiere, the same sequences render in whole, in under 2 minutes!
So obviously my computer is able to render fast. But it does not always do that. Sometimes - even after a fresh reboot, I'm out of luck and the same sequence renders in an hour - but only after a random point in the sequence.
It's as if Premiere stumbles and can't get up again. The only thing that CAN help (though does not alway), is rebooting the system and hoping for the best.
Where does this strange behaviour come from? I use ordinary footage, ordinary filters and an ordinary export codec. I have lots of RAM and lots of disk space

Similar problem here but on a Mac. AME is always much slower than directly exporting from Premiere, but if I start to get slow renders a reboot always sorts the issue out.

Why are sleep/lock the same thing?

So, I have read all the common complaints about the iPhone and happily, it seems like people tend to agree on most of them and that they can be more or less easily solved by a software upgrade. But there is one thing I think is SO annoying and I am worried because I have not seen anyone else mention it. Thus, I am concerned that I am the only one who thinks it's a problem.
I find it very annoying that sleep and lock seem to be the same thing. That is, when the screen turns off, the phone also locks. I understand why the screen turns off - so power can be conserved, but the fact that this makes the phone lock is so annoying. Every single time I look at the phone, which might be a 100 times per day, I have to press a physical button to wake it AND slide the bar thing.
On most phones, locking is an option. You can implement it when you need it. Why is it not that way on iPhone? It just seems to me that the screen should turn off after a minute or two and then you should be able to wake it again just be touching the screen. If you wish to lock the phone, that should just be an option, not the default.
Does anyone else agree with this?

I did send feedback, thanks for the link! If other people agree with me, please send feedback too! Again, I'm not saying that a lock feature shouldn't exist, or even that automatic locking shouldn't exist. I just think it should be an option you can turn off and on. That way people who are worried about making accidental calls, or people who are using the ipod function, can turn on automatic locking if they so choose, and people who don't want automatic locking, like me, can turn it off.
By the way, is making an accidental call, etc, a danger with this phone in the first place? Doesn't it only respond to human touch and not to being touched by things in your pocket/bag? It seems to me since this phone has no physical buttons it is more or less totally immune to the normal candy bar phone problem of accidental calls, etc.

Unable to call an EJB which isn't in the same application as the calling client

We're attempting to invoke an EJB running in a different O9iAS application from the calling client (servlet).
We're told by our local Oracle support team that this isn't possible but we have no problem performing the same operation from within a Weblogic or WebSphere set up. Is this problem peculiar to O9iAS? We're told that even O9iAS rel2 does not support this type of operation. Does anyone know of a work-around that might help?

Merging layers isn't quite the same

Hi... I actually have a layer merging question in CS5.
I have a document with three "normal" layers and two hue/saturation adjustment layers. They're at the top. The next two layers, and the adjustment layers, have layer masks. The bottom layer has no mask. The blend mode between the fourth and fifth layers (counting from the top) is "Hard Light". The blend mode for all other layers is "normal", and all opacities are 100%.
When I flatten the layers, what I get is not what I had before the layers are different, hard to describe exactly how. I notice that if I merge the fourth and fifth layers (with the "Hard Light" blend mode), and only those two layers, I get the same behavior as when I flatten the entire image.
So why would merging two layers that have the "Hard Light" blend mode at 100% opacity look different than when the layers aren't merged?
I hope I was clear in describing this... kinda hard w/o screen shots.

So... I have to ask the question... why?
Why is the 16.67% view not accurate? At 100%, I can't see all of this image... not even close, and I prefer to see all of an image when I'm working on it. It would just be a horrible workflow to have to keep zooming in and out, and/or or panning all over place and/or flattening and undoing over and over.
Is this what people have to do on a regular basis?
I don't claim to be any kind of Photoshop power-user (though I've been using it since version 3), but I've never come across this before. I can't believe there's no workaround so that "what I see is what I get", even if I'm not at 100%.
So, thank you all for your help and explaining what's going on, but any thoughts on how to "fix" this behavior? Or is it not even possible? That'd be a bummer.

Why are 720p videos the same size as 1080p videos in the iTunes store?

Normally I rent standard definition videos from the iTunes store. They are around 1.3-2GB in size.
Today I decided to download high definition! But I am confused by the description. Although the video is available in 720p & 1080 p, the size for HD is 5.14GB. Why haven't they mentioned two sizes for HD? And how come you can't choose ?
In my preferences I have selected "prefer 720p", but if I have to download a file that is the same size regardless of 720p vs 1080p, then I would rather download 1080p.
