Why "Print Report" print two copys of raport?

Hello
I have a problem. When I use "Print Report.vi" to print Word report generated before I get two copys, but I set one copy in the setup. Is ther any solution to my problem??
Thanks for replays.
PS.Sorry for my english.

It works fine for me.  I am wondering if you could post an example?
Some things to check would include: are you sure that there is only one print VI?  Are you sure that the number of copies is set to one?  Do other things printed from Word produce two copies on that machine?  Do other things printed from LabVIEW print two copies?
Just a few things to check (I assume you have already done some of them on your own ).

  • Printing reports on two printer

Hi I want to print one report on two printers on network.how can I do that. One printer is located on Sales Dept. and other on Accounting Dept.Pls help me in this issue and notify me on my email:[email protected]

    Khalid,
    This error signifies that
Ther printer druver is not allowing to set all the needed properties to it whixch can be queried
    The test does the folllowing
    - gets the DocumentProperties from the printer driver using the windows api. stores it in dmField1
    - fetches all the values from the result of teh document properties and stores it temporrarily
    - Creates a newe printer instance
    - Try setting all the documentproperties using the saved temp values
    - Now queries the values from the new printer and saves it in dmField2.
    - Both dmFiled1 and 2 are compared and they should be same.If they are not same, this error DT103 is raised. which utlimately menas that we are not able to set the necessary peoperties to the driver. This is a driver issue that it doesn't support the standard API
However, we have introduced high fault tolerance in 6i patch 10, that even with the error we try to rpint with the default document properties. so this may work also
    with default tray/paperszie
    Thanks

  • SSRS 2008 R2 why Link Report Print format different from parent?

    Hi,
I have created a link report based on Report A.
In Report A I have set the print format to "LANDSCAPE", but the link report always appear in Portrait, any work around on this?
If this is one of the SSRS bugs, is that anyway I can disable the print button in Report Server?
    Thanks

    Hi SAMSUNG,
I can reproduce the issue in my local environment. As per my understanding, this scenario is caused by design.
In Reporting Services, Report server administrators have the option of disabling the print feature by setting the report server system property EnableClientPrinting to false. But this property will disable client-side printing for all reports managed by
the server. So if you want to hide the print icon in all reports, we can refer to the following document:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155874(v=sql.105).aspx
    Hope this helps.

  • Continuous Printing Report

    hi ,
    This is continuous printing report.
first two pages are printed exact postion .after third page printed little down .
how to solve this problem .

Did you get a resolution to your question? I am experiencing the same problem.
I have created a report that displays multiple fields. Those fields are enclosed in a repeating frame. When the information in the repeating frame can be displayed on one page, there is no problem. But when a record starts on one page and the remaining information continues to the next page, there is a huge gap on top of the page before the information is displayed. How can I get it to move up therefore removing the space?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

  • Report Printing: APEX 4.01 - APEX Listener - WebLogic 10.3.3

We have some report printing issues...
Our configuration is APEX 4.01 using the APEX Listener with WebLogic 10.3.3.
The first issue is that under "Print Attributes" the following is listed in red under "Printing":
"Report printing is currently not available, there is no print server configured."
The second one is that we need to print pdf format and I have not found a solution for doing this with the APEX Listener and WebLogic. I saw that the FOP solution for the APEX Listener didn't make it into the current release... Is there any way to do pdf type reports with the current APEX listener technology?
The third issue is that in the demo app when running a report there is a "Error loading file:" type error with "FLOW_FLASH_CHART" and apex_util.flash as part of the url.
    Any help would be appreciated...

  • Why cant i print my e print report

why cant i print my settings for eprint.im connected to a network.it will not register the printersemail address

    Hey dciciarelli!
Sorry to hear you're having a problem! What kind of printer do you have and what error message are you getting? In the mean time, here are some general things you can try. Power cycle your printer by unplugging it for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, try manually printing the page. This can be done either by going to Setup->web services->Printer email address, or by going to the ePrint button on the touchscreen and selecting print report/information page.
If you tell me the model of printer I can provide you with more detailed assistance.
    Hope this helps!
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Application Build Failure on Excel.Print Report call

Developing software in LV2009 that uses Report Generation Toolkit to read/write from Excel templates. Program runs fine in development mode. AppBuilder crashes on *.exe build when adding NIReport.lvclassrint Report.vi
Digging down, I find a broken run arrow on the NI_Excel.lvclassrint Report.vi as shown here:
According to the Show Errors dialog, there is an unwired or bad terminal on the PrintOut invoke node; however I have not made any changes to this shipping VI (that I know of). I did try wiring all the unused inputs (empty strings to From, To, and PrToFileName; false booleans to Preview, PrintToFile, and Collate) after I ran into the error, but that had no luck either. Also tried inserting To Variant conversions for all input elements, just in case there was a problem in the implicit data to variant conversion.
I have also tried a ctrl+shift+run compile of the whole application, but that doesn't seem to get it to un-break, either.
Has anyone run into this problem before? It's weird that it would just break like that--I had actually compiled this particular executable before, using pretty much all the same Report Generation Toolkit VIs that I am using now. The only difference since the last build was that I replaced a Report.SaveAs function with a Report.Save function.
Also of note: I have included all the Report classes in my project and build specification in order to compile the dependencies into support libraries to minimize the number of labview files included with the executable distribution. This is probably why an error with the Print Report.vi calls is crashing the AppBuilder even when I don't explicitly call that VI anywhere in my code.
    Solved!

    Hey Guys,
I know this post if kind of old but I hope maybe one of you can help me out.  I'm using an invoke node similar to what is above to print out an Excel spreadsheet to the default printer.  My issue is that when I try to print from the spreadsheet from the executable, the executable crashes.  I know it is that invoke node. The reason why I say that is because until recently I had two development computers, one running on Windows 7 LabVIEW 2010, and one running on Windows XP LabVIEW2010.  The original .exe was built with the XP machine, when I tried to make some changes with the Windows 7 machine and open the project it would say that there was a missing connection to the invoke node even though I did not touch that part of the application. I would then remove the invoke node, add it again and it would clear the error for whatever reason. I would then build the .exe with the Windows 7 machine and when it would run, the application would crash at the point where it goes to print the spreadsheet.  I got around this by building the .exe with the Windows XP machine, and it worked fine without any issues. However, my Windows XP machine cra**ed out so i'm no longer able to build the .exe on the XP machine .  I needed to make some changes to the .exe not anything involving this section of the code and for whatever reason when the application goes to print it crashes.  I get some criptic crash report from Windows that is pretty much useless.  I think its a Windows thing. This was workign correctly though until I did a build on the Windows 7 machine.

It's very likely that your printer driver or even the printer itself is actually preventing you from printing at 0,0 - it may not physically be able to print there and is automatically compensating for it.
However if you are using prt files, check to make sure that the escape sequences that are being sent are not causing this - refer to the printer documentation.

  • Printing report that has a parameter with multiple values crashes jvm

I am using BOE XI 4.0 as an unmanaged RAS.
I am able to preview a report that has a string discrete parameter that can have multiple values.  If I give it a single value.  It previews fine.  If I give it an empty string it prints all values which is fine.  If I give it two discrete values, it displays just those two.
However, if I try printing the report to a printer:

  • XML PO PRINT REPORT for different Operating Units

    Hi all,
We are stuck at a point, hope someone helps us out.
Requirement : We need to generate PO print report in pdf format for US and Mexico , both having different layout.
Things done : We customized standard PO Print report to fetch XML output from it, and attached rtf(developed) to it.
Things working fine : For US , report is perfectly fine and looks good.
Issue : We need to generate for Mexico as well with different format.
We have value in xml tags which can distinguish between US and Mexico OU's and we can simple use if else condition in the template itself .
Here limitation is we have made MS word header as the PO header so we are not able to create different header for Mexico in the same rtf.
We dont want to complicate the rtf much with more loops by removing it from Header and then page break and all.
Can someone suggest something like use one rtf which handles both the format OR two different rtf registered for same concurrent program and which are called on the base OU.
We are totally fine if we can do something while registering to Apps.
Please let me know if any one wants more information.
    Hoping for a positive reply.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vishal,
Assuming you are using R12+, you can have seperate templates used for differrent OUs. In the PO Approval workflow it shall pick the respective template.
During submission of concurrent program "PO Output for Communication", you can specify the right template in the input parameters.

  • Print Report using ASCII command through printer selection available on windows

    Hi,
I'm using Labview 2009 to create a report using Report Generation Toolkit.
Creating a report is not the problem, the problem is I need to print the report manually by sending an ASCII Code.
I noticed that there are few example on send ASCII code command, but neither of them are related to printing.
The printer I use is Panasonic dot matrix printer KX-P1121E with USB port. (Fanfold type of paper)
I used "NI_report_lvclass: Print report.vi" from Report Generation before this to print my report, everything is okay and not receiving any error.
But I noticed that after finish printing, the paper will automatically feed out as if that VI (Print report.vi) is sending out "Form Feed" (FF) Command to the printer.
My application cannot use this method because I need to print a set of data in every minute. If the data only have 2 rows, then it will be a wasting a lot of paper if everytime finished printing paper feeding out. I want the printer to continue standby on the same paper after finished printing previous data. In other words, maybe just manually send "Line Feed or Carriage Return" to the printer.
    So I have a few things need to be clarified step by step;
    1. How can I send an ASCII Code to my printer? Do you have any example for this? link below is the character of ASCII Codes that can be use :http://webpages.charter.net/dperr/links/esc_p83.htm
    2. Can I send a report created by report generation to be printed using this ASCII command method?
    3. If my printer is setup by using windows (Meaning: Available on "Printer and Faxes" list), How can I configure the printer setup in sending the ASCII Code?
    Really appreciated your reply
    Thanks!

    Hi Zwired1,
Just to make sure I fully understand the situation - I am assuming since you say you are printing to two different printers that when you are using the Print Report.vi you are using the printer name string to specify which printer you would like to print on. And if the printer that you specify is not functioning it automatically prints on the other printer, is that correct?
From looking at the code in the Print Report.vi, it looks like if you specify a printer name in the input string, if there is a problem with that printer or if that printer is unavailable, the VI should not print anything, so please let me know if that is not the behavior you are seeing.
For your question about checking the health of printers, there is a VI in the report gen toolkit called Query Available Printers. You can find it if you open up the Print Report.vi and choose the Standard Report instance, the Query Available Printers.vi is on the block diagram of that VI. It will return the list of available printers and the default printer.
    I hope that helps,

  • Report Toolkit Standard Report Print Problem

We are trying to print a label out on a Zebra QL220+ Thermal Printer.  Using the Report Generation Toolkit and selecting the Report Type as "WORD" it works fine.  However by ONLY changing the Report Type to "STANDARD REPORT" it still prints out the label OK, but then scrolls out another blank label - it's like some sort of form feed character/command is somehow being appended.
We don't want to use the WORD Report Type, because I assume we have to install MS Office, which we don't want.
As you can see from the attached VI, it is just some very basic text that we are writing to the Label.
Is there some way we can see what data is actually being sent to the Printer for the two different Report Types?

If your printer is networked you would open a TCP connection on port 6101 to the printer. If serial simply send the data via normal VISA commands.
Here is the CPCL for the one example label in your code:
    ! 0 200 200 440 1
    TEXT 0 2 10 10 Date: <DATE>
    TEXT 0 2 10 30 Time: <TIME>
    TEXT 0 2 10 50 Operator: <INITIALS>
    TEXT 0 2 10 70 Location: <LOCATION>
    TEXT 0 2 10 90 Reason: <REASON>
    TEXT 0 2 10 110 Post Comment: <COMMENT>
    TEXT 0 2 10 130 S/N: <SN>
    TEXT 0 2 10 150 Dryness Fraction:
    TEXT 0 2 10 170 Signature:
    LINE 100 190 300 190 1
    PRINT
In the above label you would programmatically replace the "<x>" fields with the actual data you wanted printed. For your multiple S/Ns you would use a loop to add the lines with each S/N.
From the CPCL manual here are the pages for the elements I used above:
    TEXT Commands
The TEXT command is used to place text on a label. This
command and its variants control the specific font number
and size used, the location of the text on the label,
and the orientation of this text. Standard resident fonts
can be rotated to 90° increments as shown in the example.

VTEXT Prints text (vertically) rotated 90

horizontally by the specified number of
    UNITS.
    <200>: Horizontal resolution (in dots-per-inch).
    <200>: Vertical resolution (in dots-per-inch).
{height}: The maximum height of the label.
The maximum label height is calculated by measuring
from the bottom of the first black bar (or
label gap) to the top of the next black bar (or label
gap). Then 1/16” [1.5mm] is subtracted from this
distance to obtain the maximum height. (In dots:
subtract 12 dots on 203 d.p.i printers; 18 dots on
    306 d.p.i. printers)
{qty}: Quantity of labels to be printed.
    Maximum = 1024.

  • Report printed on new printer contains rubbish characters!

    Hi all,
We have an Oracle 6i report that is printing rubbish characters when output to a new Epson DFX-9000 printer. The old printer was an OKI Microline 395.
I'm not that familiar with reports but I have had a look at the following parameters as I believe they may have something to do with this:
DESTYPE: Set in form via SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY. This is set to PRINTER.
DESNAME: Set in form via SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY. Set to the printer the user chooses.
DESTYPE: Set in report via System Parameters. Set to dflt
No matter what I set the DESTYPE to I still get rubbish characters being printed.
We have other reports that work fine i.e. the DESTYPE is either okiprt or okiwide and they print OK to the new Epson printer.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Cheers
    Ian.

    Thanks for the reply.....
I've had a look at the reports server and there doesn't exist any PRT file for the Epson printer in the REPORT60 path. However I've been told by the DBA's supporting the system that this isn't actually necessary and that Oracle Reports will generally print reports to any selected printer thats been installed. What they did say however is that the printer was installed with a minimal driver configuration and that an upgraded driver that enables all the printer features may be the eay forward. This may explain why some reports with the same system paramter definition work and some don't.
    Cheers
    Ian.
