Use of Nodes:
When you use a logical database, you can control the selection screen and the depth to which the logical database reads data. With NODES statement, you specify the nodes of the logical database that you want to use in the executable program. The statement declares table work areas for these nodes in the program. These are data objects with the same name and structure as the corresponding node. The selection screen of the logical database only contains input fields for the nodes that you have declared using NODES.

When you create an executable program, you can specify the name of a logical database in its program attributes. When you run an executable program that has a logical database linked to it, the two programs function like a single executable program whose processing blocks are called by the runtime environment in a particular order.
Executable programs that do not use a logical database, but define their own selection screen and read data using Open SQL statements (SELECT) often require only one single processing block the standard event block START-OF-SELECTION. In this case (and only in this case), an executable program behaves like a classic sequentially-processed program. However, as soon as you process a selection screen in the program (for example, filling input fields before the call or checking user input after the call), you have to include further processing blocks (INITIALIZATION, AT SELECTION-SCREEN). If you use a logical database, the program is fully event-driven. The most important event used with logical databases is GET. At this time, the logical database passes an imported record to the appropriate processing block in the executable program.

This statement is not allowed in classes and declares a data object table_wa as a table work area whose data type is adopted from the identically named structured data type table_wa from the ABAP Dictionary. table_wa must be defined as a flat structure in the ABAP Dictionary. You can specify database tables or Views for table_wa.
Work table areas declared with TABLES are interface work areas and should only be declared in the global declaration section of a program for the following purpose:

The statement TABLES is required for exchanging data between screen fields that were defined in a program screen when transferring from the ABAP Dictionary and the ABAP program. For the screen event PBO, the content of the table work area is transferred to identically named screen fields; for PAI, the system adopts the data from identically named screen fields.
In executable programs, flat table work areas can be used for adopting data that were provided for the event GET table_wa from a linked logical database. TABLES is synonymous with the statement NODES for this purpose.
Work table areas declared with TABLES behave like the data declared with the addition COMMON PART, meaning the data are used by the programs of a program group.
Table work areas declared with TABLES can be declared in subroutines and
function modules. However, this is not recommended. A table work area declared in a procedure is not local but belongs to the context of a framework program. The table work area can be viewed starting from the declaration in the framework program and lives as long as the framework program. In contrast to normal program-global data, the content of the table work areas declared in subroutines and function modules is stored temporarily when these subroutines and function modules are called. Value assignments that were made during runtime of the procedure are preserved until the procedure is completed. When exiting the procedure, the table work areas are filled with the contents that they contained when the procedure was called. Table work areas declared in procedures behave like global data to which the statement LOCAL is applied in the procedure.

Why interface for nodes? but class for UI Elements
Hi Experts,
why in wda ,sap has given interface for nodes and elements ,and class for ui Elements.
Eg. for using nodes they provide if_wd_context _node
but for input field they provide cl_input_field
Any Body Having an idea pls revert asap

when the node is being shared between 2 views.............. both the views need to access the same node for updating values. so you need an interface between these two.
where as for elements you need not have any sharing..... and your element id is unique..... so no problem for that.
where as in nodes... there might be a node of same name in your view as well as your component controller. so you need an interface.

Why when using Adobe Bridge, I apply a star rating, the rating does not show up in Photoshop Elements. I use Elements as my organizer and Bridge to view as it is much more user friendly. Anyone any solutions??
Most likely you have set the wrong file as the external editor. You don't want the obvious one; that's just a link to the welcome screen. Go back and choose this one, which is hidden away inside the folder Support Files:

I have a Imac with 4gb of Ram and i am running out of patience on how poorly it is working after only a dozen or so tracks.
I took my moms Mac mini for the weekend and noded it to my Imac. It seemed to work good. I noded every midi track but not audio tracks.
I could see the Node meter indicating that the node was reallying doing its thing ( about 75% full) and judging from the CPU load it looked to have chilled out a bit and i didnt really appear to have any major issues.
One thing i did notice though was that it made the audio tracks sound way different, i mean like awful. I didnt notice any latency (using a cat6 cable in ethernet) but i did notice that node doesnt work well with audio.
Has anyone experienced this?
One other question.
Can i put plug ins on the node and then have them run in logic. Like say i put BFD2 on the node and also store the wave files on the node (also kinda like a external HD) will this work?
Or could i also hook up my FW800 HD to the mac mini and run BFD that way ? The reason i ask is becasue im my experience to run BFD2 effectivley u need at least 2gb of Ram just for BFD.
Has anyone done anything like this? I need to find out before i go spend $1000 on a top of the line Mac Mini.

Its seems very very difficult to really get anything good using only whats in logic.
Then I'm sure your songs will sound three thousand per cent better in some other DAW.
I mean come on almost everyone uses a plug in of some sort and you have to agree with me the EQ's and Compressors and Reverbs (except maybe space designer are less than prefect).
Some of Logic's tools are great, others you can find better third-party options. Many of us here purchase additional tools and plugins. No one said you are limited to only using Logic. But if you only have Logic, and can't afford any other good tools, then yes, you can make perfectly acceptable music using only it's tools, assuming you have some skill and ability.
It still requires skill, but Logic on it's own offers a **** of a lot more than many hit records were made from.
If you have no skill, then it doesn't matter what tools you do or don't have, the end result will still be very amateur.
Nodes: You can run third-party FX plugins. You just cannot run third-party instruments. I expect it's a technical reason, not some arbitrary decision.
However, I expect very few pros are using nodes, which is really an inefficient option when you have a slow machine. Having a more powerful machine is a much better way to work, and good Macs are so powerful now that you really have to be pushing the limits of large arrangements or massive sample use to get to a point where one machine is not really useful.
It sounds to me like your requirements exceed your available computing power, if a 2.x C2D iMac isn't powerful enough for you. I run a MacBook Pro of about the same power requirements, and you can make plenty good music on it. No, you can't run hundreds of virtual instruments live, but that doesn't mean you can't do big arrangements.
If you really need a more powerful machine, then get a more powerful machine, rathwr than blaming Logic for your own machine's performance. Logic is about the most efficient DAW out there on any platform. -

My MBP is Early 2011 but dunno why cant use mirroring with apple TV, the icon cannot be found. So cannot use mirroring.
I have follow trouble shooting , they recommend to go system preference -> display , thus can find out the mirroring icon if no mean it doesnt support. But according to the web, Early 2011 MBP should be able to use, dunno why.Just realise I havent updated my OS to mountain lion and this is the reason why I cannot use mirroring before ^^

You have a database/application.
1. You might have had run the calculation( ie calc script).
2. after that , you might have loaded the data ,i.e you have infused new data and new data blocks.
3. For these new data blocks ,you have not run the calculation so far
4. so, now the intelligent calculation come into picture, with the help of the intelligent calculation concept, we can run the calculation on only the new data loaded or on only new data blocks,which you loaded
Hope this helps you in understanding the intellligence calculation in short.
One can enable and disable at his comfort ,and for that please refer to the following commands

this is to answer you intelligent calc.
1. when you load data into the parent level , it ll be stored at the parent level only.
2. when you go to "Dimension"' tab of the database properties, you can get which one is dense or sparse
3. in general ,you have a datafile ,and the upper most line is the one ,which has headers,so manipulate the same ,you use headers in the rule file.
I have not told you to refer DBAG , :)
But, you got to read DBAG or pick a bootcamp for you to understand further .

Unable to start Manager server using Node Manager
Hi,
I have deployed Admin server in one of my unix machine(machine1) and i able to start my Admin server using node manager, and when i try to start my Managed server in another machine(machine2) using the node manager(that machine node manager) its throwing error;
Note: am able to start Managed server using Adminurl and able to connect to Managed server node manager successfully,
but not able to start Managed server using node manager
its giving exception as below;

hai friends, i am new to ABAP-HR and SAP HR, Actually i am core abaper ( working on SD, MM and Fi Modules ) , can any one explain me why and what is the use of Cluster tables in SAP HR, why we use in SAP HR function Module ?

Why cluster table:
Cluster tables combine the data from several tables with identical (or almost identical) keys into one physical record on the database.
Data is written to a database in compressed form.
Retrieval of data is very fast if the primary key is known.
Cluster tables are defined in the data dictionary as transparent tables.
External programs can NOT interpret the data in a cluster table.
Special language elements EXPORT TO DATABASE, IMPORT TO DATABASE and DELETE FROM DATABASE are used to process data in the cluster tables.
PCL1 - Database for HR work area; (long text, etc)
PCL2 - Accounting Results (time, travel expense and payroll); (payroll results)
PCL3 - Applicant tracking data;
PCL4 - Documents, Payroll year-end Tax data (change logs, etc) -

Target Structure is
MO_MAT_LAN....................(0: unbound)
LAN_KEY.......................(0 :1)
DESCRIPTION.................(0 : 1)
Source MATMAS Idoc
E1MAKTM.........................(0 : 99)
SPRAS_ISO..................(0 :1)
MAKTX..........................(0 :1)
initially i had mapped E1MAKTM----->MO_MAT_LAN but i dont want target node MO_MAT_LAN to be created when the SPRAS_ISO is equal to EN
I have tried using node function createIf but the node is geting created only once although the input stucture is having occurance more than 5.
Can anyone please help me to achive this.

SPRAS_ISO mak the context to E1MAKTM compare (Use equals) it with Constant function EN out put to be given to If without else and in then Give E1MAKTM and map out put of If node to MO_MAT_LAN.
