Why, when after upgrading Firefox my Yahoo bookmarks won't work? It happens pretty much every time there is an upgrade and it is frustrating as hell!!!
All of the bookmarks are there if I go to bookmarks in the toolbar and click on "go to bookmarks" they are all there. Usually it is a list of folders when you click on the icon and so far refreshing the toolbar or bookmarks hasn't helped. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the toolbar so far same thing. They work fine in IE but that piece of crap keeps randomly stops working and that is why I have been using Firefox 95% of the time for my home computing.
This is not a Firefox issue, you could try downgrading to version 18 or 17 but Yahoo needs to update their toolbar and they haven't been doing anything to solve issues regarding them except by laying the blame on us.

Firefox alerts everytime there's an upgrade available. I decline the upgrade because of crashes. Then Firefox automatically upgrades. When that happens I can no longer access the internet. I have to uninstall Firefox then go online via IE and reinstall Firefox. Once it it reinstalled it works fine. Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I get a popup that tells there is a new version and I don't know how to get rid of it.
As I have said in the question I get problems when you are updating too many times in a year.

I did finally find out that I could uncheck Firefox update and wait until my bank have done their update. (And I can of course use Internet Explorer...) But I still think you make new versions too fast.

They are professional tools but with price tags that put them in the range of mere mortals. Which really is amazing.
But the fact remains that doing special effects can be very time consuming.
With iMovie, Apple has made so much seem deciptively simple.

Immediately after an upgrade Firefox beginning throwing my Mac into Work Offline mode. Apparently, this is done anytime my connection blips out. I have tried a work-around, but to no avail. The computer is thrown into Work Offline when I daily turn on the computer, as well as in-between website windows.
We've seen more post about being in Offline mode on a Mac. I haven't seen any explanation or solution to this problem.

No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

I can offer you something you can do if you want to give it a try. You'll need a backup of your data in your Home folder because you need to erase the drive. You'll also need a solid, preferably fast, internet connection.
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible

I am using an Mac PPC version 10.5.8 and I am trying to download the correct version of Flash Player. I did once but I had to install a "Clean Install" of my computer and when finished I had put back the new Flash Player I just installed well every time I try install the new player it is place in my Trash Folder and I can not get Player to work.
