Why when I'm recording a video and someone is calling me stop?

Have you faced with the same problem? I do find this thing a bit annoying because maybe some time I do record something to be more important than the call.

When you render a Pr sequence in the standalone version of AME, it actually loads Pr in the background to do the file parsing but in a special 'headless' mode that omits a bunch of stuff (e.g. the user interface classes). When an encoding job works in AME but fails in Pr, it strongly indicates a memory management bug is in play.
I agree the 'unknown error' error is stupid, but some of the encoding class libraries simply don't tell their parent process why they stop. In the case of the H.264 DLL, it throws a low-level exception - a fatal error which isn't "translated" into a meaningful string to display to the user. In an ideal world, programmers should ensure that every exception handler they write has a translator, but that assumes they know the error is going to happen and they've bothered to wrap the offending code in a try-catch loop. If it's an out-of-the-blue fault such as divide-by-zero in the normal sequence of code, it just kills the process stone dead. In effect the parent process doesn't have a better idea what caused the error.
The class responsible for the exception is usually recorded in the error log file - see Media Encoder Help | Working with log files - but to diagnose the cause Adobe needs a stack trace from the moment of failure, and AME doesn't save one.

Why when almost completed editing a video on imovie, have almost half the clips developed narrow aspect - the rest is still widescreen? The faulty clips have developed grey bands top and bottom.

Tried to duplicate the situation.
Most probably I got it wrong but when adding in
• a photo in 16x9 then I get a black letterbox-ing
• an 16x9 video taken from a small compact digital Camera and in wrong frames per seconds (30fps) in a PAL (25fps) project - I get this gray banding too. Strange
May be it has to do with matching different fps in same project - never liked to do that as quality usually suffers and it goes jumpy.
I use JES_Deinterlacer to get all my material into the same standard first - not letting iMovie or iDVD do that conversion as that gives ME BAD RESULT.
Someone with clear knowledge on this - Please feel free to fill in and correct.

The phone remembers recently used numbers just like how Mail remembers recently used email addresses. As time goes by the phone will eventually forget unused number that are not in your contacts as long as you do not use it. Same for unused email addresses that are not in your contacts.

try pressing the shift and 2 key to get the @ symbol.
if that doesn't work for you - go to system preferences - keyboard and change it there.

Why do my videos freeze when I try to sync video and data?

When using DIAdem 2010 to view synchorized video and data, it always works well on the first playback. But then on subsquent playbacks the video will freeze while the data keeps playing. I'm using MP4 videos. I'm thinking it's not related to the PC - we just upgraded to a machine with a Quad i7 processer and 16GB RAM.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there are a particluar codec the video should be saved with?

This is because the html5 player will load the video by default. I have noticed lately that some channels required flash player. Do you have an example video by chance for further investigation?

hum? mine is a belkin. my cousin's router is a linksys. she setup her system the other day and video iChatting worked one time, and has not worked since. (video ichat video and no sound) it doesn't sound like the routers in you guys' case though, well, not on her end. it might not be our problem either, but i did finally run across an older post that had found the answer in the routers, and suggested restarting the linksys, and it worked. we will try again saturday and i will post what happens.

This version does not allow you to record video.
For the button and camera, the only time the picture the camera takes is when the user taps on the camera. The button cannot refresh this picture, and will always collect the same picture until the user taps on the camera again.

HT1006 why when hit the record button I lose the song on my music track for a second or so then the sound returns. I would like to be able to record on the fly while still hearing my accompanyment

guys am new to garageband. I am trying drag a non vocal track into my project, open another vocal track and and record my voice with a mic via my interface. When i hit play I hear the non vocal track, but when I hit record everything stops for a second including the non vocal track and then continue playing, and recording. why cant I record on the fly like other programs. what am I doing wrong. Help is greatly appreciated

GB doesn't offer "punch-in" recording. But you can easily set an earlier recording point, so you can listen to as much as you want from the audio track, and later cut your recorded snippet to the desired length.

Do you have the mute switch on? Next to volume buttons - shows orange when mute is on. Other than that just making sure the volume is turned up. It should work.

Recording of video and audio is asynchronous

I'm currently able to record audio and video (from a webcam) to a Flash Media Server. However, in some cases users have a webcam with no builtin
microphone. In that case the flash client uses the default microphone with 'Microphone.getMicrophone();' and possibly selects the micrphone of the PC.
A delay between audio and video is caused in cases with a separated webcam and microphone. There isn't a lot of delay on an internal network (e.g. LAN) however, there is a very large delay between audio and video on an external network (e.g. WAN).
Is there a solution to this problem? I know i'm not able to check if a webcam has a builtin microphone...

How could I use this to make a distinction between a PC microphone and a webcam microphone (not just on my PC but possibly hundreds or thousands of PC's)?
I've tested the Youtube webcam recording application with a separate microphone and webcam (for uploading webcam recordings to Youtube). I was amazed that they're able to record synchronous audio and video with a separate webcam and microphone. Is there an easy way to combine the two separate sources of input? I'm ofcourse using one NetStream object to send both audio and video.
