Why, when i try to log in to ebay, it asks to enable cookies and they are already enabled in the preferences menu in safari 5.1.2?
running the latest version of safari. the cookies are enabled in the preferences and firefox works fine.

Might be corrupted preferences ...
Go to ~/Library/Cookies
Move the Cookies.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash
Relaunch Safari. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try eBay.
Tilde ~ represents your Home folder.

Apps are tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase them and you will always need to use that ID and password in order to update them.
Saying that you do get to update them on your new details makes no sense at all. -
I try to sign with my apple ID and it keeps telling me to turn cookies on and they are already on then it tells me that my new id has not been used in ITunes yet. Any ideas?
Log into your account and review/verify your payment method. On the iPod go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID>View Apple ID.

Is it possible to save a Photoshop project with multiple tabs (inducing images) for later use. Now, when I close Photoshop, it ask to save each tab separately and they are not staying in the project for later usage. Thanks in advance for you help.

Safari quits when I try to log into my ebay
Every time I try to log into my ebay sufari quits every time.
It even quit when I tried to log into this forum. I have to use Firefox to log into these sites. What should I do? How do I uninstall safari? Or do I have to do the wintel thing and reinstall my system software? Say it isn't so.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ally bank would not even let me try to log in, their site says they use Java, DOM and Java Script and that my browser (Firefox) does not support these. I have reloaded firefox several times I do not know how to enable these languages. thanks for your help

I restored my ipod to its orginal settings and checked for it to be backed up. When it was done restoring i tried backing it up and it said to enter the password. I didn't know if it was my itunes password or what so i entered several and it said they were all wrong. So which password is it?

"Disk cannot be read from or written to" error syncing iPod in iTunes.
If nothing else works, you could try a format of the iPod in Windows. A full format does a check and remap of bad sectors on the iPod hard drive, and you would need to restore the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater) afterward. This can also work when the iPod is recognized by the computer, but not by the updater. It's usually a last ditch troubleshooting effort.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". It will take a while, but when that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
If you need to, reset the iPod to exit disk mode. -
Just wondering why we can't rent certain movies off ITunes store, when those movies are already out on DVD - will we ever be able to rent them?

On the previous version of FF the All-in-One side bar showed my Bookmarks OK. Upgrading to FF4 has lost them all, except a recent one, from the sidebar. However they are available from the drop-down via the Firefox button at top left. Then when I go to 'show all bookmarks' the only one shown is the recent one. Saving the bookmarks results in that single one being saved only! Deleting all the bookmarks and re-installing a backup results in the same happening, they list ok on the dropdown but not in the side bar. Any ideas?
This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

When I originally downloaded i tunes and bought match all 3 of my computers synced. Now when I download a song from Amazon into media or burn a cd into media they are not syncing. I go in and update match thinking that might work, it hasn't. I have all of my boxes checked in preferences on all 3 computers.
Yes i've tried all of that. I've turned it all the way on and off and erased all of my music and put it back on and nothing works. And with the breaking up CDs and putting into compilation categories i have already fixed all of that stuff. It's fine it just doesn't show up in the list of artists. I can find the album in the songs category and the albums category it's just it doesn't show tha name of the artist. All of the other albums that i downloaded before i updated my itunes to th most recent update are fine. It's just the two that i downloaded afterwards. Thanks for trying though.

You need to delete her iCloud account from your device. Go to settings > iCloud, scroll down to the bottom and tap delete account. -
HELP!!! quit job, need to delete old exchange account , outlook will not let me. just an error window pops up and says close outlook. how do i delete this account?
You don't have an option, close Outlook. Then reopen and check if the account was removed or not.

Itunes freezes when i try to log in in to my apple id(apple store)
and it is not because of the updateExact Same issue!
I haven't tried using a new profile but the moment I click on the Sign Out link under my user name in the store, iTunes freezes and needs to be killed.
Reinstalls haven't helped, sometimes out of the blue it works fine but in most cases iTunes is now practically unusable for me.
This started recently after the update and I can't pinpoint any other major change to my system. -
Why when I try to log in using my Apple ID that it comes up as incorrect even though I know it isn't. After several attempts I was asked to select a new password after correctly answering required security questions my new password was excepted. Guess what, when I tried to log in again using new password I received the same message telling me my ID/Password again was incorrect. I have only had this IPad a few months & this is the 3 rd time I have been forced to change the password. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong.
