Why won't iWeb publish my changes?

I have a rather involved photographic website that we just updated to include more and recent photos. When I tried to publish the changes, I got an error message. Eventually removed one of the photo-laden pages and tried publishing again, and it gave me the message that the site was published successfully. However, when I visited the site (www.stevefossimages.com) none of the changes were there. Yes, I refreshed, I shut down, rebooted, everything I could think of but none of the changes are there. Even the page I removed (Flowers) is still appearing on the site, even though it's not there in iWeb!
Please help!

Try publishing the site to a folder on your hard drive and open the local copy with your browser to verify all changes are there.
Once you confirm that they are try uploading the site folder and files to your server with a 3rd party FTP client like the free Cyberduck.
Many users have reported success with 3rd party FTP clients when they've had problems with iWeb's built in FTP client.

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache (Command+Option+E for Safari) and reloading the site?

Is this for text you've already typed? Did you select it first? If that's not it, for PSE 11 and 12 go to the far right of the tool options, click the four-lined square and choose Reset Tool. For PSE 10 and earlier go to the far left options bar, click the tiny triangle (or the tool icon for really old versions) and choose Reset Tool.

ICal won't automatically publish my changes

I have iCal (3.0.6) set to publish several of my calendars. When I first told it to publish, I DID click the "Publish changes automatically" check-box, however, iCal is simply not publishing any changes. When I right click on the calendar name, the "Publish" option is grayed out, whether there are changes or not. The only way I have found to publish the changes is to get info on the calendar, click "Change Location", then click Ok, and it will republish. This is quite annoying to have to do every time I make a change. Is there anything someone can think of that I can do to fix this?

That is not the window (http://nickchich.com/stuff/getinfo.jpg) which I see when I use the iCal>Calendar>Change Location... menu choice.

I am not sure what to say about the difference, or what influence it may or may not have with the problem.
How/When did you update to 10.5.6?

Does anyone know why some of the pages i edit are being saved and publish, but others are not?

Try clearing your browser's cache (Command+Option+E for Safari) and reload the pages that are having problems. See if that brings the changes up.

Why isn't iWeb uploading my changes?

For some reason iWeb is not updating my changes I make to my pages, especially my blog. I check to make sure the connection is good and it still will not upload. I save changes and then try to get out of iWeb and I get the error message that says quitting during upload could cause problems to the website.
What is going on?

The iWeb FTP will not upload files with bad names.
Check your files - paticularly image files - for spaces and/or special characters and remove them.

Why won't iTunes publish my review on Tom Tom Application?

I've recently tried several times to publish a review of Tom Tom(Australia),installed on iPhone, without success. No bad language, or cursing, although maybe that's what's missing! I have even contacted Apple about this before, & have had a change of password etc, still no joy. I have had other reviews published as recently as December 12, 2009.
Any suggestions?

Well I am not sure how to get into the application event log on Vista.
In XP, it's right click on My Computer > Manage > System Tools > Event Viewer > Applications
The error message is telling you to check the event viewer for more information. So, that's the next step to take.

Why won't iWeb start? help!!

Everytime I double click on the iWeb icon, it starts to load, but then I get an error message. I have tried it repeatedly and get the same result. I did some house cleaning recently, but I only through away documents, I wasn't moving anything around in the application folder.

iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I am having the exact same problem. The only thing that I can add is that I just moved over from a G4 iMac to an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. I used the Apple utility to set up my new iMac via a FireWire cable and it worked wonderfully, except for iWeb.
When I attempt to start iWeb, I get "The application iWeb quit unexpectedly" error. I have tried bringing over my plist files and Domain.sites file all over from my original Mac a couple of times but it still does not work.
My original Mac is:
iMac G4 1.25 GHz
OS X 10.3.9
iLife 6 with all the updates (iWeb 1.1.2)
My new Mac is:
iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz
OSX 10.4.8
iLife 6 with all the updates (iWeb 1.1.2)
Because it still works on my old Mac (even now) I'm not convinced any amount of deleting will help me.
Don't know if this requires a new post, but I hope this information helps someone to figure out what the problem is.

In the Options | Privacy | History setting, I have "Never Remember History" selected. If I change this and hit OK, then re-enter the option, my new settings are reset to "Never Remember History". Why won't it save my changes?

I am running on a clean install of Win7 64. FF Version 3.6.10.

Why won't my text tone change with ios5?

i have gone to settings/sound /text tone and have tried several different choices but every time i recieve a text it allways uses thhe Electronic tone.
my calender alerts and ring tones are working fine but for some reason the text tone refuses to change. i have a 3GS.
does any one have any ideas?

Change the text tone under sounds in setup the go to your contacts pick a contact and change the text tone to default it should then use what ever text tone you set in sounds. Hope it works for you as it did for me.

Why won't emailed appointment updates change in my iPhone calendar??

Outlook calendar updates that are emailed to me from the appointment creator are not updating in my iPhone calendar. They are staying at the original date and time and I'm even unable to modify any appointments that I'm invited to. We use Outlook Web Access.

What changed from a week ago?
I have the same problem, alerts not coming across on shared calenders when the events sync properly. My wife & I have iPhones with latest IOS 5.x.x. I privately shared my iCloud calendar. She's subcribed to it and it syncs perfectly. Whenever I create a new event, it shows up on her phone within seconds. Same thing when she creates an event on the shared calendar.
Problem is, the alerts don't make it across. I typically set alerts of 30 minutes and 2-days before the event. My phone's default alert of 1-day before also goes off for 3 alerts per event. However, on her phone, no alerts goes off. Editing the event on her phone shows both alerts as none. Even her default phone alert setting of 1-day before doesn't go off either.
Anyone know how to make alerts sync across along with the shared calendar events?

Why won't MainStage send program change MIDI to external synths

One of the main reasons i moved to mainstage was the ability to seanlessly use both the mainstage sounds plus the internal sounds in my hardware synths . Since i upreaded to mainstage 3 i cant send program change MIDI to external synths ... I really need to have this resolved . it is critical

Seems to be working for me. I can send in a program change, and the external instrument channel strip will send out the correct program change.
I did notice that new patches I added have their own program change number, so I had to set it to what I wanted (for the mainstage patch itself, under attributes).
So, starting from the begining, I :
- added an External Instrument channel to my existing MS patch
- I set the output of that new channel to the correct midi output device
- I selected the ext. instr. channel and then went to the inspector->MIDI Output tab and checked the box "Send Program Change" and I selected a prog. change number
I monitored this output using MIDI Monitor and it all looked correct.

Why won't yosemite save a change of region?

I am running Yosemite, and it is up to date. I need to change the region.
I go to
Settings > Language & Region and then select the desired region.
I then press the back button (or the button with dots) and am taken back to the main settings window. When I select Language & Region again the system is on the old option and didn't store the new.
If I make a change to time format, then this is saved.
I was using the Australia"region, then customised it. The current region is showing as "Australia (Custom)". When I select "Americas" and then "America" then go back to the main settings window, the change to the American region is not saved and it goes back to "Australia (Custom)".
How do I get the change of region to store?

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
