Why won't my Yahoo! bookmarks import to Firefox?

I have tried several times to import my Yahoo! bookmarks using an HTM file.
I used the instructions at:

No, the actual error is that the file could not be written at the destination.
It is possible that it is not factually wrong because Lightroom first make a failed copying attempt without giving an error message, then still assumes that the files have been copied and tries to import them, and THEN makes a failed import attempt from the destination and gives the error message. But that would never be anyone's first guess when they experience that error message.
A much better error message would be: "The following files were not imported because they could not be copied to the destination folder."

Sites won't open in Firefox when I use Firefox bookmarks. If I type the www into the navigation bar, I go to the site. With Opera, the bookmarks imported from Firefox work. Using Firefox 17.0 and Apple 10.7.5

Why won't quicktimes and mpegs import into iTunes?

I'm trying to make a playlist of videos in iTunes. Several of my movies won't import when I drag and drop them. Some were created in Final Cut Pro 7 as basic MOV. One is an MPEG I received frome someone. Why won't they import?

Right. Most of my shots are jpegs. But on rare occasions, I want a RAW file so I hit the RAW button on the X100 and then shoot RAW for one shot. This last import I had 10-15 RAW shots and they would not import along with all the jepgs. This happens everytime I have mixed file formats. Very frustrating.

Have to refresh Yahoo bookmarks every time Firefox starts for it to open

Every time I start the 4.0 Firefox I have to refresh the Yahoo bookmarks several times for it to open completely for them to
become usable

I dont use tabs and only use the Yahoo toolbar bookmarks(about 200)they dont show up in the Firefox or IE bookmarks.After starting Firefox from being offline
these dont open.From the pulldown button in the toolbar I go to tools>then refresh bookmarks sometimes several times for them to open all the way for normal use.It was'nt until the more recent updates this started happening.Another thing started happening at the same time in the Yahoo mail when trying to delete mail from the spam and trash folders when you select all>delete the cursor would go right to the to the OK button.Now I have to drag
it to the button.this only happens in Firefox in Yahoo mail.

Why won't my RAW files import into LR4?

Hello all,
Something very strange is going on with LR4. I have been using LR since version 1 and never had this happen before. When I have an SD card filled with jpegs and RAW files from my Fuji X100 camera and try to import all of them into LR 4, ONLY the jpeg files get imported. None of the RAW files get moved into LR at all. I have to create a new folder, move all the RAW files so that they are alone, and do a second import. Why is this? Why cannot I import all at one time, not even thinking about the difference?
Seems absolutely stupid that my RAW files are being ignored.

Why won't iTunes let me import this album from my music folder?

For some reason, iTunes won't let me import Radiohead In Rainbows from my music folder. The songs are mp3 files. I've imported thousands of songs and haven't had a problem. I've tried dragging it in and importing from the file menu.
The one thing I notice is that MP3 is capitalized in the file names, but I don't know if that has anything to do with. The music plays fine in Windows Media Player, but I want to put it in itunes so I can put it on my iPod.

I appreciate the reply. How do you check permissions (what is permissions)? This is very strange since it worked flawlessly in my itunes libraray before recently as well as my ipod and all of a sudden it wouldn't play in my library so I deleted the tracks from the library and tried to re-add them but it doesn't load them now and doesn't give me any kind of error message.
These are official MP3 tracks that I downloaded from the official Radiohead website and they play fine on my Ipod, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. Just not Itunes itself.

Why won't some .gif files import into Adobe Premiere 11?

Hello! New to Premiere here.
I'm working on a project which involves processing roughly 200 animated .gifs taken from the internet. Many of them will import nicely into Adobe Premiere 11.
The problem is that not all of them will do this. Many of them will give the following message and freeze the entire import process.
This seems like a strange error message to get because
a) It seems to say here that the .gif format IS supported
b) There don't seem to be any codecs for this 11.

What especially frustrates me is that a gif with similar resolution and size will import, but the one above will not. Below is an example of a gif that will import into Adobe Premiere 11:
Is there an explanation for why this is the case? I have looked up this issue extensively on the internet, and every other person with this issue seems either to be stumped or find a solution for a much older version such as Premiere 8.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm happy to announce to you all that my "mp4 importing" issues has been sorted out. Now I import mp4 shot with the same Windows Phone 8 Device into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Only that for the moment, it doesn't play as fast as with ordinary player.
But how did I get it to work, you may wonder;
I simply installed Itunes on the system, I also installed an app called media monkey. I can't say which of the apps did the magic but the next time I tried to import mp4 files into Premiere Pro after these installations, it imported seamlessly.
Obviously there's a link between the required codecs and the itunes itself.
You may want to try it and hope it works for you.

Why won't some movies get imported from camera?

I'm using iPhoto 6.0.6 with Panther, and a USB camera (PowerShot AS7100IS). Everything works great except for one thing: some movies I make with the cameras aren't seen by iPhoto and never imported. I have to do it with Image Capture utility, which is annoying. Does anyone know why this happens - what determines whether it sees the AVIs on the camera or not?

Size is the usual issue. iPhoto will baulk at importing large videos directly from a camera.

Why won't my iBook bookmarks sync between my devices

Well I like to read on my iPad but when I'm out I read on my iPhone. For some reason whenever I use the red bookmark button on my iPad, it doesn't come up on my iPhone and I have to find where I left off on my iPhone which can be very difficult sometimes! I was just wondering if anyone new how to sync my bookmarks over my devices. I have made sure that sync bookmarks is on in settings but it still doesn't want to do it!

I got my External to work shortly after posting my original post. I figured I would post my solution in case anyone else is facing the same thing.
I could not find any trace of the hard drive on my mac but i figured out the problem was lack of power. I upgraded my external's enclosure from one that used one plug (data and power on one usb port) to one that used two plugs on one cable (data on one plug, power on another) and it properly powered my drive and I was then able to find it in Disk Utility and format it to work. It is formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled). It has functioned properly since then. As far as using firewire vs. USB, I (at this moment, at least) have no need to boot from the external, so i don't see the need in using it. However, firewire is pretty new to me and I have never used it before so if there are other benefits to using it over usb, i would love to know. Especially since my external currently takes up both of my USB ports unless I use a hub or plug the power part of the cable into a USB wall charger or something like that to free the other port up.

Why won't Lightroom (current version) import NEF files?

I have Lightroom v. 5 current, and it fails to recognize and import .NEF files. I use a Nikon D800, and can't directly import the RAW files into Lightroom. It doesn't make sense to me that this fails to work since most instructions seem to assume it does. Perhaps I am overlooking something obvious, but I don't know what.

You have most likely used an obsolete version of a Nikon Transfer or Nikon ViewNX to work with your NEF files. Nikon says these old versions change something in the metadata of newer Nikon files that makes them unrecognizable to Adobe products.
Either update your Nikon products to versions that are as new as your D800 camera, or quit using Nikon products to transfer and view your images.
To uncorrupt images that you’ve already transferred or viewed, a utility from this website will correct the problem:

You need LR 4.4 or DNGC 7.4 or newer for the T5i:

Why won't my iPad 4 import my Gopro pictures

I have the SD card adapter to plug in and it when I insert it with the card used in my GoPro it tells me there are not any pictures to import. They are Jpeg. I can put the files into Photos on Iphoto but they will not go into my photostream either. Anyone else have this problem and can it be corrected?

Are the pics in a folder titled DCIM. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).

I can't get my RAW files to import. Shooting on the 5DM3 using jpeg + RAW setting. I got the jpegs to import, but not RAW. What is going on? PLEASE Help!!

Are you separating your JPEG and RAW onto 2 different cards? For example, RAW on CF and JPEG on SD card. If so, do you connect directly from the camera? Can you use card reader to test each card individually if you're using 2 card to record JPEG and RAW differently? And upon importing, do you see 2 different directories underneath your list camera?
