Why wont photoshop update?

jusr downloaded and installed photoshop, now it wants to update ut it just keeps telling me to contact support.

The same problem I have at the moment. I installed CS5 on my new laptop with windows 8.1. After the updates are downloaded I get the message that there is an error due to a faul during the download, try again later. So I did the last few days. I never had this problem with previous installs under win 7.

  • Why wont Photoshop Elements 11 merge photos from Lightroom 4?

    I'm having problems with automatically merging photos in Photoshop Elements 11 from Lightroom 4. I do my editing in LR4 and when I wish to merge photos (either into a pnaorama or HDR image) all that happens is that PSE11 opens, nothing else. I go through the 'Edit in..' option and click on the desirep option. I can send individual images to edit in PSE11 bun not merge.
    I am running windows 8. I have set the external editing software to PSE11. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the software. But still I'm having no luck with the programs working together and doing what I ask of them.  Why is this?

    Yes you can open multiple images into PSE from LR. But actually there is no great advantage in using Lightroom for Photomerge as the export copies are already created in the Library but the saved copy will be the merged version which LR will know nothing about, and which would need to be imported to the library separately.
    I would personally start from Expert Mode in PSE11 and then use:
    File >> Open
    Navigate directly to the folder and select the images you want and click open.
    If they are raw files they will open up in camera raw and will already have the light room adjustments included, if the metadata has been saved to file in Lightroom.
    Click select all (top left) and then ensure the image depth is set to 8 bits using the drop down menu at the bottom of the dialog. Then click the open images button (bottom right) to send them all into PSE.

  • Why wont Photoshop elements 12 save to DVD in MPEG2 format when I have Premiere Elements 12 package loaded onto pc also?

    I purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 12 package at Best Buy.  I created a slideshow within the Photoshop Elements Package.  When finished, I tried to save it using the instructions noted within the Help section of the Photoshop Elements 12 application.  The slideshow was saved outside of Adobe Premiere Elements. When I tried to playback the DVD to which the slideshow was burned, it wouldn't play in my regular DVD player or a Blue Ray DVD Player.  There is no instruction to import the slideshow into Premiere Elements prior to saving it to a DVD.  The WMV format that Adobe uses will not allow the DVD to play anywhere other than my PC, or another P.C.  The help section of the application states that the the file would automatically be converted into a MPEG2 format using the Photoshop application.  Please explain what I'm missing!!!  Desperate for help, as I have a family reunion this weekend,  The DVD  has 450 photos on it and the DVD was part of a gift package for the family.  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    I've tried many times but just says "The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs." so i re run the software update and get the same response.

    I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

    If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

    I recently got a new laptop, an Mac Book Pro OSX 10.9.4, and transfered Photoshop Elements 8 to it along with all my other files and programs. When I tried to run Photoshop Elements 8 it said that files were missing and that I needed to re install it. After I re installed it I got an error message 150:30. After restarting the computer there was no change. I still cannot run Adobe photoshop 8 on my laptop. The fixes on the troubleshooting page dosn't seem relevent to my issue.

    after which you can manually remove all the bits you can find. Look not only in applications but in hard drive>library>application support>adobe and in your username>library>preferences. Spotlight will not help with these searches. If you need help finding either of those libraries, post back.

  • Why wont photoshop CS4 free trail work?

    I have downloaded a free trial of photoshop CS4 and have been trying for hours to get it to work. When I click on on of the folders it asks what program I want to use to open it. I was prompted to use bitzipper and did. Bitzipper said I had successfully downloaded it. Then when I try to open the files in photoshop it prompts me to choose a program. I choose bitzipper and it asks me to install it. I have turned off nmy firewall but when I try to open the files it says blocked, I allow and it just rescrambles everything. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forum.
    The download version (trial, or otherwise) is archived. I assume that it's in 7z format. That is like ZIP, but is more X-platform.
    Once you have downloaded the file, you need to Extract that file. On my XP-Pro, Windows Explorer will do the Extraction. Do this to a temp folder and make sure that you choose "Folder Structure," of similar. This will Extract the necessary files and folders to that temp folder.
    As Mylenium states, then Dbl-click on the Setup.exe file and all else should happen automatically.
    Make sure that ALL anti-virus, pop-up blockers and spy sweepers are turned off, before you install. Note also that PS will want to be installed on your C:\. Allow that.

    Apple, i have an iPod touch 2g and i was wondering hwhen you will EVER update the iPod touch 2g (or all the other generations) higher?

    It will very likely never be updated.  This is completely normal in every way.
    Hardware ( computers/tvs/dvd players/any other device that runs software) eventually cannot handle the newest software updates. This happens all the time with all products.
    BTW, you are not addressing Apple here at all. We are all ipod users just like you.

    The Apple servers are slammed right now with iOS 7 downloads AND activation requests.
    Be patient and try again later.

    That's interesting. I hadn't thought of it that way. I've always thought that when I posted a question, that question was mine. Anyway, I didn't like it when I saw that this site had me down for twenty-five unanswered questions. It made me look lazy or ungrateful for the help I had been given. Most importantly, one has to assume that if a question hasn't ben answered in a reasonable period of time, it will never be answered. That's simply because it doesn't appear on the screen anymore. It could be that if the question is restated in different terms the results will be different. I've done this before. I've closed out a file and asked the question again in a different way. In such a case, I believe that it's better to try again with someone else.

  • Why wont the updated apps go away in my update tab on itunes.

    After updating the apps, is there a way to clear the updated apps list on i tunes?

    Because Apps can now auto update if there is no history of what is updated you won't be able to see what Apps were updated and when, and also more importantly what was new. So it makes sense to have a brief history so you can keep tabs on these things.  This is by design in iOS 7.
