I have one stupid Q...
Why we cant assign attributes to the dense dim mem,
Is it bcoz
1) Essbase server was designed like this...
2)or else it will take too long time with dense dimension to calculate....
or else some other reasons

First thing is Essbase will not support assigning attribute dimensions to dense dimensions.
For why they designed like this is an interesting discussion.
My point is if we directly point attributes to dense dimensions ie we are directly pointing to data blocks for that you need a seperate index.
By Assigning Attribute dimensions to Sparse standard dimensions you are reducing the data volumes and there by increasing the performance.
generally, Accounts and time are dense dimensions.
For those two dimensions there are in built tags like Expense, Time Balance and DTS provided by essbase so that you can meet your functional requirements based on tags.
Any however There is UDAs you can assign to dense members.
By UDAs you can group the dense dimension members and based on UDA tag you can achieve the needed grouping requirement.

I want to understand the logic behind opening the block with dense member. Generally we open the block with member of dense dimension by fixing the sparse members
e.g. below considering C1, P1,Working,Actual are members of sparse dimension customer, product, Version, Scenario.

Now if i change the code as below making Jan in FIX and opening the block with Actual. How it will affect the performance. The Number of iterations in total number of datacells will be same in bothe cases above and below then why to give priority to dense dimension member for opening the block.

I know the logic behind keeping sparse dimension member in FIX but here i think keeping 'Actual' member for opening the block is also a type of fix which will tell the code to do the calculation only for blocks of 'Actual'.
In 1st case i have fixed the number of blocks containing members C1,P1,Working,Actual and by keeping Jan for opening block means Jan is also fixed for the particular application means code will not run for feb march etc.
Means code will run for C1->P1->Working>Actual->Jan
In 2nd case also i have fixed C1,P1,Working,Jan and by keeping Actual for opening block means Actual is also fixed for the particular application means code will not run for other members of Scenarion dimension.
Means code will run for C1->P1->Working>Jan->Actual
Then what is the difference??? Why it will effect performance???

when using an IF statement in a calc script you have to specify a member to associate it with for the calc member block. This is like temporarily assigning it to that member as a formula in the outline. In most cases calculations on dense dimensions can work faster as the block is in memory. Remember that a block statement can have multiple calculation statements in it. When this occurs, having the calculations on a dense member can speed it up as it may not have to swap blocks to do the calculation.
Also consider that if a sparse combination of members does not exist, the block will not exist and there will be no attempt to do the calculations. If a sparse member is on the calc member block, it will cycle through all of the sparse members looking to do the calculation.

Wow, talk about being all over the place.... Did you try Settings>iTunes & App Store. Tap on your old ID and sign out and them sign in with the new ID?

Why to use Item Attribute with Event in case of some controls

A question about Event.Item
When i saw the example of MenuBar , i observed that we can get the data of the MenuBar clciked using a Event.Item@label .
I am having a question here , please tell me why Flex Framework is designed in such a way that getting data from the Controls is different for different controls .
I mean to ask why is it different in ncase of a MenuBar we have to use Event.item@label .
CXan anybody please tell me why what significance does an Item attribute have in case of a Event ??

It looks like you probably have ProductID setup as your key attribute. The key attribute has to be unique as it defines the granularity of your dimension. So based on the data you have shown ItemID should possibly be the key attribute.

Hi a, Glad you removed Norton. On Skype, go to Tools & Manage add ons. Find any add ons that pertain to
Skype and Disable them. Once these problems have been solved then you can always enable any that have been disabled.
Anytime you lose an Internet connection you will receive those kind of errors. Wireless connections are subject to a loss of signal. I would contact your Carrier and report them.
Any site or game that tells you to update Flash Player, ignore. You did the right thing going to Youtube. If that works, then disregard anything to the contrary. That site is having a problem, not you. Take care not to disrupt your Flash Player Installation!!
On Avast not being able to update would most likely be due to the loss of signal. That Avast updated 3 times is not unusual. That is just a sign of additional risks. I had Avast and during some periods that was done also. No problem.
While you are still in the process of removing programs and troubleshooting, if there are any add ons/plug-ins/extensions that are causing an issue, I would disable them. Once you have your troubleshooting done, then see about them.
On McAfee, didn't that Install with FP at one time? I think you removed that as I recall. You can refer to the instructions I gave you to remove it and make sure it is not there.

Can you please elaborate what you mean when you say that these applications do not make the job right? What issues are you encountering? Is it on only one specific file, or with every file you open?
Regarding your question about Emails not opening - do you mean that you are not able to read the contents of any email that has an attachment, or that you are not able to view certain attachments?
The Mail application only supports certain attachment types, so depending on the file type, you may not be able to view or download the attachment.

There is a problem insofar as you did not buy the phone.   Any warranty would therefore apply to the buyer.   What I would suggest is this ...

Can you assign attributes via the OutlineLoad.cmd utility?

I create a attribute dim named 'Project Admin' with base dim 'Project'. I now want to assign the person to the various Project ID's under Project. Can I do this via OutlineLoad.cmd? The examples in the Planning Admin Guide don't give one of assigning these. I tried the below but it just created a new Attribute Dim named 'TextAttrib' for the Project Dimension.

Apple did not erase iChat.
Messages in Mountain Lion is iChat +
The plus bit is the fact you can iMessage iOS devices.
All the other features that were in iChat are still there.
If you upgraded Lion to get to Mountain Lion then in System Preferences > Mail, Contacts and Calendars you probably list all the iChat Accounts (Screen Names and IDs).
You may need to enable them for Messages.
They should also show up in Messages Menu > Preference > Accounts
Once those accounts (AIM and Jabber) are Enabled they can be viewed in a Combined Buddy List
Windows Menu > Buddies (Or using CMD + 1 Keystrokes)
In the General Section of the Preferences you can Unlink these Buddy lists.
The Green icons or highlight a Buddy and then using the Buddies Menu or the icons at the Bottom of the Buddy list can be used the same way to start Video or Audio Only chats.
The iMessage "Account" is only for texting iOS devices or other people using their Apple ID on a Mac in Messages.
It is an account "in addition to" rather than "taking over from" the services that iChat can join.

I'm not sure what are u looking for ..???? now u are asking whther if activation starts at the same time for 2 ODS,.. there wont be any problem if the activation starts parallelly..
but these activation fails if the change run is running for the common master data. So make sure that when ever change run is running the corresponding master data will gets lock. thats the reason why u can see locks in rollup, compressions or any other parallel change runs....

I suppose a tougher user question would be this: I have an HDV camera. Why does iMovie force me to edit all my projects in DV instead of HDV? The answer: It doesn't. It lets you shoot and edit your HDV for delivery tomorrow.
So that's the reason iMovie HD is important to me: When I get an HDV camera, at some time I WILL be able to burn my iMovie HDV project onto an HD DVD.
We can't expect all the hardware and software for recording, editing and burning HD DVDs to all arrive on the same day. (Even if it were today, there still wouldn't be a way to play the HD DVD on an HDTV.)
But after spending hours, days or weeks working on an iMovie project, I want to know that my HDV project to be ready for HD when all the other pieces come together. Our iMovie HDV projects WILL be ready, because we're ahead of the product delivery curve. In one, two or three years I won't have to trash all the work I've done and start over.
What can we do today? Burn a widescreen SD DVD of the HDV project.
It's a win/win, but some of the winning will be in the future.
