  • Wich one is better for home use. Nothing powerfull.

    Hello People.
    I would like to know. Wich one is the best "all day" use Macbook. I don't use nothing special. Just Browse the web and listen to music or airplay, those things.
    Macbook Pro, or Macbook air?

    Depends on your definition of "best". If the display size makes the computer best for you, then best would be the computer with the largest display. If best to you means internal DVD player, then the Macbook Pro is "best" for you. If "best" to you means light weight then the Macbook Air is "best" for you. Decide what "best" means for you then make the decision.

  • Which one is better Between RX800PRO-TD256E and NX6800-TD256E ?

     Hello i have a dude... I need to know which one is more powerfull and better! please...i need a help! because ill buy one. I saw the specs but they have diferent technologies. which one i should choose???.write me please!!!. THANKS!!!... see ya!

    Why don't you go, and get this one? it was released yesterday:
    XFX  Geforce 7800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16
    Or I would recommend you these too:
    MSI RX800XL-VT2D256E Radeon X800XL 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16
    (The memory runs a little faster than RX800PRO, and also have 16 Pixel Pipelines instead of the PRO version with only 12)
    MSI NX6800-TD256E (Riddick) Geforce 6800 256MB 256-bit DDR PCI Express x16
    Both cards are great.

  • Which one is better to manage sprites??

    hello,
    i have a class that manage all my sprites, from updating to rendering
    and because there will be many sprites iterated every game loop
    i want to know which one is faster between these :
    1. i put ALL sprites (active and not active) in the sprite manager and update the sprite based on whenever it's active or not
    OR
    2. i put only active sprite and the sprite that not active is removed from the list, in this case in every loop i must add new active sprite to the list and remove nonactive sprite from the list
    the code will be like this :
    for number 1
    ArrayList spritelist; // list of the sprites
    public void update(Graphics g) {
         for (int i=0;i < spritelist.size();i++) {
              Sprite s = (Sprite) spritelist.get(i);
              if (s.active()) {
                   s.update();
                   s.render(g);
    ......and for number 2
    ArrayList spritelist; // list of the sprites
    public void update(Graphics g) {
         for (int i=0;i < spritelist.size();i++) {
              Sprite s = (Sprite) spritelist.get(i);
              if (s.active()) {
                   s.update();
                   s.render(g);
              } else { spritelist.remove(i); i--; }
    ......in code 1, there will be many sprites to iterate, and in code 2, there will be many adding and removing sprite from the list
    so my question is:
    is iterating on many sprites and get it's active status is faster or
    iterate on few sprites and use ArrayList.add() and ArrayList.remove()
    Thanks in advance........

    Rules about optimizing:
    1)     Dont do it.
    2)     (experts only) Dont do it yet.
    Do you have less than 10000 sprites? Do you add or remove more than 1000 sprites for each iteration in the game loop?
    The answer is likely to be no.
    Is the time it takes to do the painting of one single sprite plus the time it takes to do calculation regarding the movement of one single sprite grater than the time it takes to iterate over an array of 1000 sprites?
    The answer is likely to be yes.
    So, in what part of your code should you twist your head to do some optimizing?
    Not here!
    And where should you concentrate about maintainability?

  • Whats the diffrence between these two JKM's and when to use which one.

    Please tell the diffrence between these two.
    JKM Oracle Consistent o JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date)

    Basic difference is in the requirement .
    JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) wants a DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) which will get inserted/update by the source application . ODI will capture the changed data based on this column value . Only the DELETE portion requires a trigger to keep track of deletion happening at source table(s).
    Where as JKM Oracle Consistent does not require any DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) . It uses triggers for keeping track of INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE happening in source .
    In terms of performance JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) is better as it will create littel over head on to your source system . SO if you have a DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) which gets inserted/update by the source application, then go for JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) .
    Else look for JKM Oracle Consistent .
    Thanks,
    Sutirtha

  • Wich ones are the differents between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s?

    Well I posted this because I am about to get iPhone 4S, but I am having a couple of questions, but the main question is wich ones are the differents between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s?

    See http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/.

  • I need opinions. I currently on dilemma on buying iPod Touch 4 or Samsung Galaxy Tab. Comparing these two, which one is better? Why? Tq.

    Well, I want to buy a new gadget for myself. But I currently don't know which one to choose yet. Both iPod Touch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab are great inventions! But i can't afford to buy both of them. So i'm asking all of you, any ideas or opinions on these two gadget? Which one is better and why? What do iPod 4 have that Samsung Tab don't have and vice versa. Thank you so much if you replying this.

    I'm having the same issues you are having on my S3.  I was on the phone with tech support (Verizon) last Friday for about an hour.  I had to get a bit nasty with the tech when he attempted to blame Samsung for this (Samsung didn't release that update without Verizon's OK- and have you noticed Verizon has added their logo to the startup now?).
    My data usage has gone up, battery draining much faster (and I have an extended battery!) and I had to re-load some of my widgets on the phone (including the My Verizon widget).  The tech had me start the phone in Safe Mode (holding down the power, volume rocker and Home button at the same time until the Samsung logon screen shows then let go of the power button while continuing to hold the other two buttons until the phone logs on completely).
    Whatever he did remotely seemed to make the phone act better yet he decided I need the update 'reflashed' to the phone.  First he credited my account $30 to take care of any possible data overages.  He then contacted my local Best Buy store to see if they could 'reflash' (upload the update again) the phone.
    I went to Best Buy and had it done the next day.  I think the phone was better before the 'reflash'!  The tech gave me his personal Verizon cell number so I will be calling him back today.
    An update for the update is coming yet the release date hasn't been confirmed.  The tech said my account will be monitored for any overages in which I will received credits to cover it.
    Good luck, Ginger- and I agree with you: if this doesn't get fixed I will move my business to T-Mobile!

  • Whats the difference between these versions of photoshop?

    First of all to make things clear I want to mention this first that I lives in Pakistan and Adobe doesn't support my region so in order to buy the Adobe Photoshop CC I have to contact the authorized resellers, after contacting them and asking for a invoice proposal for Adobe Photoshop CC, they send me several invoice proposals (per user team liscense). But I just got in a trouble as these proposals are offering Photoshop CC different versions so its like kinda making me double mind, i am just confused which to buy as prices are differ too and kinda noticeable. As for making my intentions clear I also wanna mention that I am looking for Single App Liscense i mean i just wanna buy Photoshop CC thats it. But for sure its not gonna be that photography version nor student one. Also i wanna know that whats the difference between these two versions and also tell me the pros and cons.
    So please help me choose which one is better for me as I am really confused with it.
    Here are the links
    Note: You will have to translate these pages into english

    I've attached screenshots too

    The features in both of the Photoshop CC are identical, there is a difference in price because, the higher priced is the original Photoshop price, the less priced is the promotional priced Photoshop CC eligible only if you have CS3 or later version of Adobe creative suite product.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • What is the difference between these two sticks of RAM?

    I am upgrading my Macbook 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 duo from 2GB of ram to 4GB
    What is the difference between these two kits?
    4GB Kit (2 x 2GB) 200 Pin DDR2-667 PC2-5300 256x64 CL5 1.8V SODIMM ($102.00)
    4GB Kit (2 x 2GB) eRam 200 Pin DDR2-667 PC2-5300 CL5 1.8V SODIMM ($88.00)

    Probably nothing of any consequence. Some places can just negotiate better deals with suppliers. Or one of a million other factors that can affect price is in play here.
    When buying RAM, I generally find it's better to pay a little extra to get a brand that's known for quality. I usually stick to Crucial myself. If you look around, you can probably find some real steals out there, but I don't know... With stories of people who literally go dumpster diving, salvaging stuff that was slated for disposal, then turning around and selling it... I prefer not to take chances. If you are, by all means, go for the cheaper one.

  • Which one is better null == object or object == null

    I am just surffing on a google and i found one new thing which is new concept to me, but that concept is not cleared
    Concept is, i found one place a class object is compaired with the null in following way
    if( null == object)
    Usually i used
    if(object == null)
    Problem :- What is the diffrance between these two condition and which one is better?

    So... Just use the first way (by default) because that's how people are it reading accustomed to.Agreed. Just to point out, the reason commonly given for preferring (null == object) is that it prevents semantic errors such as (object = null), which is only a problem in Java in a minuscule number of cases.And the practice started in C (or maybe even an earlier language) where it's an issue in many cases. For example,
    int i = 0;
    if (i = 1) { ... }The "if" line is illegal in Java, but it's legal in C. If the programmer forgets the second = sign, then you get the above. Variable i gets a value of 1, and the expression i = 1 has a value of 1, which corresponds to true (whereas in Java, you can't use an int where a boolean is expected). So the if comes out true, when it should have been false (had we properly used if (i == 1)), and in addition, the value of i has changed when we didn't want it to.
    In Java, this would be a compile-time error, whereas in C, it's a runtime error. Compile-time errors are easier to fix, and they don't get the opportunity to cause a problem after the software has been released.
    In C, to turn this back into a compile time error, you could get in the habit of writing if (1 == i) Then if you forget the second = sign, you get if (1 = i) which is a compile-time error.
    Because Java doesn't equate numerical zero with false and non-zero with true, this issue is, as yawmark demonstrates, much less of a problem in Java.

  • Whats the difference between these two queries ? - for tuning purpose

    Whats the difference between these two queries ?
    I have huge amount of data for each table. its takeing such a long time (>5-6hrs).
    here whice one is fast / do we have any other option there apart from listed here....
    QUERY 1:

    My feeling here is that simply changing join syntax and case vs decode issues is not going to give any significant improvement in performance, and as Tubby points out, there is not a lot to go on. I think you are going to have to investigate things along the line of parallel query and index vs full table scans as well any number of performance tuning methods before you will see any significant gains. I would start with the Performance Manual as a start and then follow that up with the hard yards of query plans and stats.
    Alternatively, you could just set the gofast parameter to TRUE and everything will be all right.

  • Difference between these Thunderbolt cables for an iMac?

    What is the difference between these two Thunderbolt cables for connecting Thunderbolt harddrive docking station to an iMac?
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD862ZM/A/apple-thunderbolt-cable-05-m
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD861ZM/A/apple-thunderbolt-cable-20-m
    Thanks!

    Along the lines of this topic, does anyone know whether Mini DisplayPort cables are usable for Thunderbolt? Here's one, for example, that's cheaper than Apple's $29 cable:
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B009NE77TQ/
    I would be concerned about (at least) two things:
    1. Can it handle the speed?
    2. Does it have the right circuit?
    It's possible that if it *seems* to work in a thunderbolt application, you might still run into trouble with intermittent data failure if it's not up to the task.
    Thanks for any thoughts.

  • Shutdown or Sleep, which one is better??

    I usually use my Mac Mini about 3 hours a day. At the end of the day, should I shutdown the machine or simply put it in sleep mode? Which one is better? What is the difference?
    Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    791/3237
    Hi Snawman,
    I agree with the others. In your case, better shut it down for saving energy.
    "Which one is better? What is the difference?":
    - Sleep allows to very quickly resume any task that was running. Leave all applications, documents etc open, they'll just be here at the same place, in the same state, as when you left your computer.
    It's just a matter of quickly going back to work, not having to retype some websites login passwords for example, etc.
    - On the wear and tear point of view, the difference is so small, your Mini will be obsolete and replaced with a newer Mac, far before something breaks down just because of to many cold boots!
    Yes, the most demanding task for a computer's hardware (and probably OS too), is a cold boot.
    Sleep, instead of Shutdown, keeps your computer components from a lot of temperature fluctuations, and the hard disk too just spins down, instead of completely setting itself down, then up again from scratch (and cold).
    Again,
    these differences exist, but they are not so important that you would take them into account and change your energy saving habits.
    - Macs are well designed to cope with many different kinds of users/usages.
    "About running yourself the nightly automatic maintenance":
    In case you didn't know already about this: yes, just open Terminal and paste this command
    sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
    once or twice a month.
    In order to make sure all three maintenance tasks run until the end, after you entered your admin password and hit Return, just leave Terminal open like 15 minutes or so (until you see its prompt again).
    There is no hurry to quit it, as the maintenance runs in the background: Just use your computer in the meanwhile.
    Enjoy your Mac!
