WIfi conectivity problems

I'm loosing everytime connection from my wifi network. It works fine for about 15 minutes but then I have to turn off and on airport to regain real connection to internet, meanwhile showing a supposed connection.
At first I didnt have this problem; I had a seamless connection but recently getting frustating.
Do I need to change network settings? my router is working fine as usual with my other computers..
What are the chances that my wifi hardware is damaged or something?

I have a Mid 2010 15" MBP (Core i7) as does a colleague and we both have experienced the same symptoms as you. We can connect to our wireless access point and we are on the network fine for 10-15 minutes but then we can no longer access the network or ping any hosts. The connection to the AP appears to be fine when this happens (full bars in the Airport menu). Turning Airport off then back on again brings the connection back again.
Other devices and older MacBook Pros don't have this problem with our AP.
My computer does not exhibit this behavior on other wireless networks which makes me think that it may be some kind of incompatibility with our wireless access point. In our case we are using a Netgear WNDAP350 (firmware is current). If other people experiencing this problem can post their wireless access point models as well maybe we can narrow down the problem.

My iPhone will not connect to any wifi signals, and it keeps giving me an error that says I have the incorrect password.  Even when I am trying to access an unlocked wifi signal.  I have tried the steps suggested on this website, with no results.  What should I try next?

WiFi related issues are hard to troubleshoot because theres not always a definitive reason for it not to be working. Whether it involves the phone, the network hardware, or even the ISP.
I don't have much to suggest, but its always a good idea to have your phone updated to the latest firmware. These updates typically include fixes for WiFi related bugs and often times solve problems you are experiencing.

  • [SOLVED] Wifi conection not working after upgrade

    Hello everyone,
I'm having some issues with wifi conection.
First of all, I've tryed installing arch from local core, and after updating and rebooting, I run iwconfig to enable a WEP conection, but when I ran dhcpcd, have an Access Point, but I get a timeout error due to a eternal broadcasting for a lease. I've tried some options mencioned in some threads but it cannot been repaired.
Later, I reinstaled arch from net install, and have the same issue.
Finally, I've tried to upgrade from [testing] dhcpcd, inetutils and netcf, but this doesn't give a solution.
Maybe should I downgrade dhcpcd ? In that case, I don't know how to get the older package (in the cache I have only one package)
    Thank for your help!

I wonder if my problem is similar. I just got through my first Arch install choosing the repos [core] & [extra] as sources. I had just put together a new box, so I'm worried I might be playing with too many variables at once. Anyway, I managed to manually configure my WEP wlan0 Ralink rt2800 okay from the installation framework, then got through base install, sound & x11, KDE.  On reboot, I cannot get my wifi back up.  I am at work now, but will follow up with the error messages I get, seen during the boot, and afterward from iwconfig.

  • My iPod touch 5g lost the wifi conection when I wanna watch videos

Ok, the problem is that I am for example in facebook or other social network and I play a video, the wifi conection is automatically lost on my iPod and my computher, is this a problem in my iPod or the internet? how can I fix it?

Since yo said " is automatically lost on my iPod and my computher" that means a problem with your router/internet connections since it happens on more than one device.
    Try
    - Try connecting to other networks to really help determine if it is a problem with your network.
    - powering off and then back on your router
    - Reconfigure your router to use not security as a test

  • I need help with an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2

I’m having an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2     Model:  MC774C/A;  IOS VERSION: 6.1.3 (10B329).
While I use 4 email accounts on the iPad -- Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud and ns.sympatico.ca ( a division of BellAliant) – the sending difficulty only relates to the ns.sympatico.ca.  The settings for this account are:         pop.bellaliant.net            and      smtp.bellaliant.net
I first noticed the problem about 3 weeks ago while travelling across the country (Canada).  (I do recall about that time there was an update of my IOS and I also for my wife purchased from the Bell store an iPhone which shares my Apple account.)  Prior to that everything worked well for a couple of years.
I noticed earlier this month that the iPad received mail fine but would not send at night using the motels’ WiFi.  During the day, using my 3G account, all worked fine.  I phoned Bell but was told that my experience was normal so I thought no more about it until I returned home and found the same problem at the house.  I called Bell again and worked for 2 hours with 3 Bell technicians who succeeded in getting the iPad to neither send nor receive and gave up advising me to take the iPad into a Bell store to have it looked at.  I did that and the young technician got the iPad sending and receiving by changing the        smtp.bellaliant.net      to         mail.1xbell.ca
However, when I returned home again, I realized that it was working on my 3G and still doesn’t send on my WiFi
I’m looking for any suggestions that might solve this annoying problem?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • ITunes 11 wifi sync problem

    Hi all,
I just update to iTunes 11, but since than I'm only able to sync my iPad and iPhone with a cable, the wifi sync option is not working. Both of my iDevices won't find my MacBook
    Info:
    iPad Wifi 3rd Gen
    iPhone 5
    MacBook Pro 15" (mid 2011)
Hope that anyone has a solution or Apple comes up with a solution

My itunes wasnt recognizing either my or my husbands phones via wifi either, I took the suggestion of others and reconnected to wifi, didnt work. What ended up working for me was going into network preferences on the mac, and than advanced and deleting my network from the list of preferred networks, turning on wifi on my mac, quitting itunes, turning wifi on my mac back on, reconnecting to my network and opening up itunes. Just synced a song to my iphone via wifi no problem. Odd workaround but hopefully that helps you. I am running osx 10.8.2 and my phones are on ios 6.0.1

I won't say that it's a proof for the iOS 6 WiFi/WLAN problem. BUT, it's evident that my iPhone 4 with iOS 5 sees all WLAN-networks and connects - my new iPad with iOS 6 doesn't! • New retina MacBook Pro - WiFi connectivity problems

    Dear all,
I've recently purchased the new Haswell 13" retina MBP, and I'm having exactly the same WiFi connectivity problems the 2013 Airs had. I have a solid connection for a short time, and at irregular intervals it just drops out. All of my other devices are still connected and have no problems. I've tried with two different routers/modems, but the problem persists.
Is this a known problem - with hopefully a software fix in the forseeable future, or do I need to return the MacBook?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
    Nic

I haven't got a Retina, but I do have the same wifi problem. And if you've looked at these forums, you'll see it's been going on for years and no one seems to have a handle on what the issue is. All I can say is if I were in your place I'd take it back and exchange it. You have the chance now, so take it.

  • IPad WiFi Connection Problems - WiFi Symbol Appears With Full Bars but I Don't Get A Checkmark?

I was using the iPad one day and then all of a sudden it stopped connecting to the internet. The network at this hotel is very good and I've asked them about their router so it is not the router's problem.
I go to the Settings and tap on Wi-Fi then I tap on the hotel network. After a few seconds, it says the network name beside the Wi-Fi tab and it gives me the WiFi symbol showing 3 bars. But then I never get the checkmark or tick saying everything is connected. I try going online and it says the iPad is not connected to the internet. I've tried an iPhone and it connected and got a checkmark in a few seconds. I've talked to the front desk and he took out his phone and showed me that he could connect, he even opened a page without any problems at all.
I've been trying to find a solution for this for a long time. I've been searching Google over and over again. I turned Airplane Mode on for 1 minute, I've tried Resetting my Network settings, I've tried forgetting the network and reconnecting again, I've tried removing all restrictions from the iPad, I've rebooted the iPad A LOT, etc.
So this is my problem for people who don't want to read the whole message:
    1. I can't connect to the internet with the iPad
    2. It shows the WiFi symbol saying its connected but I never get the checkmark or tick.
    3. It's not the router problem.
    4. I've tried other networks and it doesn't work. It just keeps on showing that loading circle right beside the network name.
    5. Do any of you know what this problem is? Or do you have a solution?
Thank you for reading this and have a great day

  • WRT110 WIFI password problem

    Hi Everyone,
I've got a very strange problem.  First, I indicated WPA under Wireless Security section and typed in my passphrase.  However when connecting to my wireless network name my passphrase never worked.  Second, I completely disabled security and tried to simply connect without any passphrase, but I was still being asked for a passphrase nonetheless.  I checked and double-checked and saved settings making sure security was disabled, but I was still being asked for a passphrase when choosing my wireless network!
I could probably restore my WRT110 to factory settings, however I don't want to loose other configurations like certain open ports and IP addresses I opened up for firewall.
Is there a way for me to resolve my WiFI password problem without restoring to factory default?  I just need to figure out how to make the WiFi passpharse work.  Here's what I have there:
    Security Mode: WPA Personal
    Encryption: TKIP
    Passphrase: 0sunspot0
    Key Renewal: 3600 seconds
However, when I pick my wireless network and try to connect to it by typing in 0sunspot0, I get authentication failure!
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Victor.
