WiFi Sync to iTunes is intermittent at best on iPhone 6! Needs a fix from Apple ASAP!

My WiFi Connection to iTunes is intermittent tried many things i.e reset router, iPhone and Mac at the same time, change DNS to 8.8.8.8, resting network settings, rebooting the iPhone6 and iTunes - yet this issue still exists on an intermittent basis. So the easiest temporary fix so far is having to restart  iTunes and reboot the iPhone 6 for it to sync again. But I have to go through that process again and again.   One note however it does require a connection to a power source first as it says in the WiFI Sync setting of iTunes. Initially after the reboots it does exactly that, but later plugging it into a power source does not do a thing to restore the WiFi sync. So I tried to do network settings reset, that has not fixed the issue, but Im currious as to how much damage can I incur by resting them to factory default settings? Is there a permanenet solution at hand or there one coming soon?

I have exactly the same issue and no one seems to be able to help. I am running the latest iTunes, Classic 160, and Vista. I have synced maybe 40 + times to achieve 2.5GB of transfer. Photos transfer, contacts transfer, (can you transfer the notes section from Outlook as well as the contact info? I cannot figure that out either), I have maybe transferred 10% of what I have in iTunes. I agree, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi there kushfromgbr,
You may find the information in the article below helpful.
    About SyncServices

    OS X Mavericks
OS X Mavericks v10.9 and later do not use SyncServices. Instead, Mavericks supports sharing your information using several network-based and cloud-based solutions. If you want to sync your information across multiple devices and computers, you should use one or more of these methods. These include iCloud, CardDAV servers, CalDAV servers, and servers that utilize the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.

  • Wifi Sync with iTunes has stopped working

I have a MacBook Pro running on 10.7.2 and have iTunes 10.5.
My iPhone 4 has recently stopped wifi sync with iTunes on my MacBook Pro , the device only shows in Itunes when i sync via the cable.
I have reinstalled iTunes 10.5 on my Mac and have restored my I phone's software and firmware to no avail.
    Does anyone have an answer??

Do you have the ACE Mega CoDecS pack installed? I saw that as the problem somewhere, and uninstalled it and that took care of the problem. I had just re-installed before having that problem and had every single codec installed rather than just installing a certain filter that I was needing and it was affecting Quicktime, which in turn was affecting iTunes.

  • IPhone 4S won't do wifi sync with iTunes

I can't get 4s iPhone iOS 6 to do wifi sync with iTunes on my Mac Pro.  Running Lion on Mac Pro and latest itune version.  Current with all app and software updates.

No, the front screen has never been replaced before but I'm starting to think that the display connector might still have moved a little, I'll try and open it today.
    Thanks.

  • Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine, tried solutions from other threads with no luck, just thought i'd see if anyone else had any ideas, thanks.

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
    Rebooting phone/laptop/router
    Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
    Re-installing iTunes
    Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

  • My wife just purchased iTunes Match. Can she match her iphone itunes to my library?

my wife recently purchased iTunes Match to use on her IPhone 5 and i have authorized her to use my itunes library. we synced her iphone to my library and it took all her music off and put on the music from my library. What we really wanted to do was to have her have access to my whole library like i do with iTunes Match so we could have the same music.is this possible?

No. That is not what iTunes Match is about.
iTunes Store- Subscribing to iTunes Match
    iCloud- iTunes Match
iTunes Match is cloud storage for your iTunes music library. It reads your library and matches tracks to those already available in the Apple music library. If you have a track it cannot locate, then it uploads the track from your library. You end up with all of your music stored in the cloud for your use.
She cannot sync to your library nor you to hers. You have different Apple IDs and different accounts. You cannot use her music nor she yours. All you can do is share it via Home Sharing. She cannot access your iTunes Match library without your Apple ID. Same for her. But she can have her own iTunes Match by purchasing it for herself with her Apple ID.

  • HT1386 i've already synced my itunes on my laptop with my iphone but it's not synching all of the albums/songs.  Everything was purchase through itunes so i'm not sure what the issue is.

i've already synced my itunes on my laptop with my iphone but it's not synching all of the albums/songs.  Everything was purchase through itunes so i'm not sure what the issue is.

What settings do you have in iTunes? Is it set to sync all music, it is set to sync only checked songs? Is there anything different about the songs that it is not syncing. Is it possible they were they purchased with a different Apple ID?

Is the computer the one the device normally syncs with?
If not, sync with the computer it normally syncs with.
If it is, place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.

  • Every time i sync in my music in my iphone 5 it would have to back up my iphone and every time i back up the loading bar would freeze then my itunes with crash pls help my iphone 5 coat a lot from my savings

every time i sync in my music in my iphone 5 it would have to back up my iphone and every time i back up the loading bar would freeze then my itunes with crash pls help my iphone 5 cost a lot from my savings

Syncing requires a backup as part of the sync process.
Delete any existing backups in iTunes under Edit > Preferences > Devices (or simply move them to a different folder on the computer) then try a backup or sync.

  • ITunes 11 wifi sync will not recognize my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 running iOS 6

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11, iTunes no longer recognizes my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 (both running iOS 6.0.1) as active devices for the purposes of wifi sync.  It does, however, recognize my iPad 1 running iOS 5.  The only way I can sync my iPad 2 or iPhone 4 is to attach the USB cable.
The older version of iTunes 10 started exhibiting this behavior when iOS 6 was released, but I was able to get iTunes to recognize the devices by powering them off and then back on.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  Some advice from Apple would be appreciated.

Guys, I just performed the Itunes update and experienced the same (honestly I was expecting it),
My sollution was, clear up caches on both iPad 2 and  iTunes.
Exactly what I did was the following:
    1. Update iTunes.
    2. Deactivate the home sharing on iTunes.
    3. Disconect iPad from home sharing.
    4. On iTunes>Preferences>Devices "Allow" the automatic sync for iPod, iPhone & iPad
    5. Click on the button labeled "restart synchronization historical" (sorry, don't know how the button looks in English, mine is in Spanish)
    6. Click Ok
    7. To clear up iPad's caché I force reset the device by pressing and hold both buttons on the device (front and top)
    8. Activate the home sharing on both devices again and voilá... there is my full blues collection again!
Maybe for some people it will work this way just fine and for others by doing in a different order, after all for what I see is a caché issue.
Let me know if it was of any help, I'm more PC than mac but network issues are the same and I'm more than glad to help and learn any time.

  • Can no longer WiFi Sync.  iTunes won't connect to devices.

Since downloading iOS 7 and iTunes 11.1.1 I can no longer WiFi Sync my iPhone5, iPad, or iPod.  Error message states, "iTunes could not connect to this device.  Could not allocate a resource."  What does this mean?  Never had a problem before.

I have the same problem  On the phone with Apple support over the course of a few days without a solution.
