Will a something show up on my screen if I have water damage?
My phone was face down in the snow, and it happened to be dead. It had been in the snow for about 40 min before I found it. Right now its charging, because it was dead and it is taking longer that usual. How long does it usually take for the phone to turn back on, and if there is what damage will there even be something on the screen?
All the documents you store in the Documents folder are not stored in iCloud. In order to upload them to iCloud, open Pages (or any iWork application) and drag the document to the iCloud window.
However, that will remove the document from the Documents folder. If you want to keep the document in both places, you need to make a copy of the document on a different folder on your Mac, so you will have the same file twice. Then, upload one of them to iCloud

The touch screen on my iPod touch doesn't work anymore following water damage. I can't connect to iTunes on my computer because the iPod is passcode protected. How can I transfer a few albums that I recently bought from the iPod to my computer?

My iPhone will not allow me to use the slide feature. I have restarted the phone several times. any suggestions?
Try rebooting. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPhone should restart. See if you can use it when it comes back up.

Please help. I dont know what to fo i keep getting a USB Device Not Recoganized pop up. This has never happened before and I have no clue what to do. I also cannot manually sync my phone through settings because it says that my computer is not available.
I'd try removing and then re-installing iTunes. An uninstall will not remove your music etc. That should re-install the usb drivers etc. I don't think you can separately delete and install the drivers.

Touch screen not responding after water damage
Hello community.
I do get the fact that there is million of threads, but I want to know the opinion of others on this particular case.
I dropped my phone into the toilet (luckily, it was clear) and immediately got it out.
As I had no experience with these kind of accidents, I actually didn't turn off the phone. I used a towel and then I wobbled my phone to get rid of the water. Then, as the phone started rebooting itself, I dried it with a hairdryer (yes, I'm an idiot) and used a vacuum cleaner to help the proccess.
It kept saying this error [NAND] FileFlashAndMedia or something like that, so I turned it off for good and tried to restore it - I started getting the -1 error.
After several repetitions, iTunes finally started restoring my iPhone 5 and everything was back to normal. But then I came to the dreadful realization that the screen does not respond. Everything is ok - all the buttons, the display, even the sound seeems to be fine.
So after these 15 minutes of panicking I started to read articles and watch videos of other people. Put the phone in a bowl of rice, sealed it and I turn it on from times to times to find out if the screen started responding.
Any suggestions? Do you think there is a possibility to recover it?mheijjer wrote:

I set my homepage to the Navy Research Labs tropical cyclone warning page so I can be sure to see developing storms every time I start my browser, but now it simply caches a version of the page. The cached page that shows old information, defeating my purpose. How can I get firefox not to display a the cached version of this page by default? (Yes, obviously I already know I can refresh the page each time. That is NOT my question)
If you leave tabs open to have them displayed automatically on the next start then you need to clear the browser cache when you close Firefox to prevent showing a cached version.

When I turn on the iphone 5s after it being off it will load then show me the lock screen for a second if that and then go right to sleep mode right away as soon as the lock screen comes on

I just purchased Apple USB SuperDrive and connected to my Mac mini late 2012 USB slot but nothing shows up on the screen.

the external Apple USB SuperDrive plugged in. •As a last resort, if nothing else, before a
return trip to be rid of the SuperDrive, you could try a system management controller reset.
The SMC reset is not a first choice, so I won't post a link to the support instruction page.
A new Apple USB SuperDrive should be seen as hardware in system information report.
Of course, an icon of disc media should appear once the disc is inserted into the drive, too.

my ipod touch is showing a white blank screen...have tried resetting it but nothing! any suggestions??
Let the battery drain completely. Then let it charge for about an hour before trying another reset. Helped with mine.

.AVI file has white screen but does have sound...
I have an .AVI file someone sent me which by using QT Pro shows just a white screen but does have audio.
I have Perian installed and it didn't help with the white screen. I have opened it fine in VLC player, and a couple of other media players but my issue is that I want to import the AVI file into iMovie so I can make it into a DVD. However, if I import it into iMovie, it will be the same white screen with audio.
I have searched the web far and wide to find a solution and most are saying it could be only viewable in QT on a PC of all things.
Is there any components out there which will help me with this problem? Any other suggestions?

RBBut when I selected the problematic AVI file it too appeared with a white screen w/sound in MPEG Streamclip. So I realized it wouldn't help me either.
A white screen usually means the selected video codec is not compatible with the actual file. Normally, I would run a conflict test. Based on your previous posts regarding the compression formats in use and the video codec attempting to perform video playback, my first guess would be that the Perian component is trying to decode a DivX (possibly v5) file. I would probably either temporarily remove the Perian component and see if the AVI file plays or remove and then replace the DivX component (if the latest one is already installed) and see if this changes the component access order so DivX is called for video playback. If you have an older DivX component installed, there may be a conflict issue. (Remember to close QT while removing/replacing components so the list will be re-initialized before making a playback test.) If all else fails, try posting a sample file so we can see if the problem can be duplicated on other systems/configurations. -

i have macbook air that i spilled gatorade on.i took it apart cleaned every part with alcahol.now the when i plug it up to charger,the green light comes on then changes to orange and it will not turn on.i charged it all nite,but the orange light is still on.my question is should it come on even though the batteries have water damage when it is pluged into the wall.one of the batteries in the bat pack has pink water damage indicator.
Dont EVEN try to do that, youll only cause MORE damage.
And the salty gatorade is likely the WORST thing you could spill on it.

There are many many liquid indicators in the Air, not just one. The new Air has 12 as I recall, the older 9.

my iPhone4 will not turn on or show that is working at all, i have tried to charge it so that the screen will light up but it won't work, when plugged into the computer iTunes does not show any sign it is plugged in, what do i do?
There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.
