Will office 365 work on passport?

I am so close to buying the Passport! I just need to know if it will work with my company's office 365 calendar, office apps, and Lync. Can anyone advise me based on your experience?

OneDrive does work, however your security settings from your BES could determine otherwise.

  • TS1702 Office Mobile for Office 365 WORKED PRIOR TOT HE LAST UPDATE?

Prior to the last IOS update i was able to use Office Mobile for Office 365 on my ipad and it worked perfectly. Apple swapped bugs and has put me into a fit for a new tablet. I dont have money to keep upgrading everytime apple needs a buck. tech support cannot support the issue and i am left in the cold with work to do. I guess i am going to leave apple products and buy a new windows tablet so i cam work. this frustrates me to no end. I spend a ton of money for hardware and software and enjoy the benefits of having a dependable system which gives me what i paid for, then apple decides they need to sell me a new table and force me into the poor house in the process. Guess what Apple??? you lost a good customer and proponent for your product. I will buy a windows tablet that works like a professional machine out of the box and not be bothered with anymore work arounds for you poor code and customer sensitivty. You have made it so I dont care to buy another profuct or app from you again. you have squeaked you last dollar out of me. I am not a victim and i will not llow you to make me one. I hope you get the same treatment you give. have a great business life, short and not so sweet.

Just for the record, Microsoft has not updated their app since Aug 21, 2013. They had access to months of preview versions of iOS 7 and all of it's updates since. Who do you think is responsible for a broken app?
Also, maybe try some basic troubleshooting steps before you rant. These issues are common after an OS update on EVERY platform, not just Apple devices.
You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Will office 2008 work on a power mac G5?

Hello I have an older Power mac G5 , was wondering will Office 2008 on it ? ( I have a co worker that has an unused copy for $10)

It should. I think Office 2008 was the last version for the PowerPC architecture.

  • Will office 11 work with lion and old doc files?

I updated to Lion and my old office will not work... will office 11 be able to read and use my old office files ...word and excel?

Office 2011 will work with Lion, old doc files will work with 2011 as long as MS hasn't done something in Office 2011.  I have had no problems with files from as far back as office 2003 with 2011.

  • Will Office 2004 work with Leopard?

I'm about to install Leopard on my MacBook. Will Office 2004 continue to work, or will I need to re-install/upgrade/buy new software? Thanks

Word, Excel, and Powerpoint have no trouble launching. Some have had trouble printing though. There is a new free update from Microsoft which may fix that issue, but I haven't yet seen any reports.
I would backup your work before installing Leopard in any case, just in case you may have underlying issue that wasn't resolved as my FAQ* explains:

  • Will OFFICE 2004  work?

I don't want to upgrade if not.

I found the problem with my installation.. First, I deleted office and reinstalled it, which wasn't necessary.. The problem was duplicate and/or corrupted fonts.. I'm somewhat of a 'font ho'.. I have about 700 installed, and some were duplicates.. I opened Font Book and chose all the fonts and used the Resolve Duplicates menu item, which shut off all duplicate fonts. This alone allowed all the Office 2004 programs to successfully launch over and over.. I went one step further and also had Font Book Validate the fonts.. I found a few corrupt ones and deleted them..
So, now Office 2004 works fine for me..

  • Will Office 2004 work with Mac OS 10.4.11?

I'm currently running Office 2004 with Mac OS 10.4.2 but will soon be upgrading to Mac OS 10.4.11. I'm wondering if the Office currently installed on my computer will work with OS 10.4.11.
(All the component apps of Office are marked as Version 11.2, except Entourage, which is marked as Version 11.2.1.)
I'd appreciate any thoughts. THANK YOU.
    -Bob

Shouldn't be any problem. I used Office 2004 with 10.4.11 for quite a while until I bought Office 2008.
You might want to update your Office apps, though, with the latest security updates and bug fixes. My Office 2004 apps are all 11.3.something versions.

  • Will  Office 2008 work with OSX Mavericks?

Should like to install Mavericks but want to be sure that my Office 2008 will work.

It's supported in Mavericks and will work unless something goes wrong during or after the upgrade.

  • Will Office 2004 work if I install Lion?

I heard there are problems with older versions of MS Office.

if you are going to have to upgrade your version of MS Office, and if you are going to go to Mac OS X Lion then you will, then I would recommend you go to MS Office 2011.
There is some debate about whether you can "install" MS Office 2008 as the installer may have been PPC based.
Also, MS has already stated that they plan to release free updates for MS Office 2011, to make it compliant to the new features that have been introduced with Mac OS X Lion.  Features like application resume, auto-save w/versioning, and full screen applications.
You might also find the cost of the Home and Student version of MS Office 2011 to be very reasonable.  The only reason to get the business version is for Outlook, and only if you actually need Outlook.

  • Macbook Air OS X upgrade--will Office 2011 work?

    Hi there--
I want to upgrade from 10.6.8 to OS X Mavericks so I can dowload Java 8 to run Minecraft. (For my 9-yr-old, not me.) I'm a heavy user of Microsoft Office, Word specifically, if it matters. Losing my Word files would be losing three years of work.
I just updated my Office software--I have Office 2011 with update 14.4.1.
Can anyone tell me if this plays nicely with Mavericks?
    Thank you,
    paige

Office 2011 does work with Mavericks.
I suggest once you load Mavericks, then check once again for Office updates.

  • Mess with accounts in OneNote and OneDrive for Business - can't open documents from Office 365

    Hello!
    [Reposted from
    here]
I've got Office 365 subscription (E3) with Office.
I can view and edit OneNote notebooks on Office 365 via browser, but can't open it in OneNote.
The similar problem exists for OneDrive for Business - some libraries are syncing, some cannot - asking for Enter credentials, but when I click - nothing happens.
There were two accounts bound to Office 2013 - personal Microsoft ID as primary account and corporate Office 365 linked to it.
Windows 8.1 corporate profile is linked to Microsoft ID account as well.
Something happen with these accounts after password was changed - it seems like some account information was cached and can't be cleaned.
I tried to uninstall Office and install it - no success.
    I cleaned computer with
this utility from Support - no luck.
On other Windows 8.1 computer I created new profile (with Microsoft ID account) - surprise, there are problems there as well.
I deleted all Office15 entries from Credentials Manager - Office asked me about Office 365 login/password - I entered them, it is syncing, Haliluja, but, when Microsoft ID account was linked to Office 365 account in Office - problem appears again.
It seems that Office 2013 uses Microsoft ID credentials for Office 365 content.
I'd like to use Microsoft ID as primary account for Office and link Office 365 account to it, but don't want such problems. It worked fine, but I don't know what happened and how it can be analyzed and fixed.
Update: It seems I localized the problem, but still don't know the solution.
Scenario to reproduce error for me:
    1. Create fresh new Corporate/Domain user profile on Windows 8.1 with Office Pro 365 installed on computer with latest updates
    2. Go to SharePoint Online and browse some Libraries and OneNote notebooks - all ok
    3. Start to sync them using OneNote and OneDrive for Business - ok
    4. Link Microsoft Account with Corporate Account in Windows 8.1 - ok
    5. Syncing of _some_ (not all) Office 365 libraries and notebooks stop working - errors with access, permissions. I'm trying to enter credentials but this doesn't help
    6. Disconnect Microsoft Account and Reboot - all libraries and notebooks of Office 365 work fine again. But OneNote notebooks from OneDrive stop working :)
How I can fix this situation and have Microsoft and Corporate account connected?

    Update 2:
I installed PowerShell for SharePoint online cmdlets and found this user using get-SPOUser.
I removed this user using remove-SPOUser -site
    https://mysitename.sharepoint.com -LoginName
    [email protected]
but when I'm trying to access sharepoint from the browser with Microsoft account credentials - new record for this user is created again and I can see it with get-SPOUser :(
So, problem is still not solved - this user is still can be authenticated (there is no such user in SharePoint site collection, there is no such user profile) and Office 2013 syncing doesn't work for Office 365 due this mess with accounts.
I know that I can remove Sharing with external users from Site Collection and information about these users will be permanently deleted - but I don't want to do this, there are several customers who work with our documents.

  • Office 365 (Word) and Onedrive comparability issue

I have successfully used MS Mesh / Skydrive /
OneDrive for years to sync my documents/PDFs folder between my desktop, laptop, phone, and iPad.  A month or so ago I purchased Office 365 and it caused all sorts of havoc in my Onedrive folder.  The thrust of the issue seems to
involve Office 365 and Skydrive getting in the way of each other while trying to keep the documents up to date.  As skydrive tries to upload changes to a folder with Docs in it, a few of the documents will not update (leaving the red mark on the document
icon instead of the blue check-mark showing it is up-to-date).  Office 365 share point will also give a list of documents that it was unable to sync (the list matches the trouble files in Skydrive).  Once this error hits a file, all of the content
for the document is zero'ed out (and the file size decreases to 0 KB).  Thankfully, thus far this has only caused me to lose data from old, unimportant files.  This morning I lost data from an important file, but I had a backup of it saved in my
    email.
I've tried a bit of my own trouble shooting.  At first I thought that the issue revolve around documents created in earlier editions of Word, so I created a folder in my Onedrive that was populated only with Office 365 Word documents, but this
    did not resolve the issue.
It seems as if this problem affects documents randomly.
My hunch is that it occurs when Office 365's sharepoint tries to update a file at the same time Onedrive is updating the file.
I also use the iPad app PDF expert to access my skydrive folder on the iPad (because I store PDF's in the folders as well), but I don't believe it to be the issue because: (1) it worked perfectly fine before I installed 365, and (2) the problem
with Onedrive and Office 365 persisted after I disabled PDF Expert's sync with the Onedrive.
Note: Office 365 worked fine until I used it to upgrade the version of Office installed on my computer.
I do not want to be forced to keep my Word documents separate from my Onedrive folder as I store numerous non-Word documents in my Onedrive folder as well and need to save them in folders with Word docs.
    Thank you.

    The solution is very simple.
You have to install Microsoft OneDrive from the Mac AppStore. It synchronizes your OneDrive folders to the Mac. Afterwards, you usually find a OneDrive folder in your Home folder. From there, you can access all files as usual. If you change any file, it will be synchronized in both ways (Mac to OneDrive, OneDrive to Mac).
I use this on a daily basis and have no problems with it.
    Have a nice day!

  • Synchronization office 365 and windows 8.1 mail app fails

    Hello all,
I have a Dell XPS duo ultrabook with Windows 8.1 enterprise. The laptop is part of a domain. We use Office 365 for our mail-environment. Office 365 works perfect in a browser, but I want to ad that work-mail account to the mail app in windows. Connecting
works fine, but the synchronization fails. I get the following error:
"If you xxxxxx want to synchronize, the settings of this PC should match the security policy of the email-server. Upgrade your Windows-useraccount to an administrator-account".
This is ofcourse not an option, but how do I solve this?
Btw the mail app works fine with a hotmailaccount.

    Hi,
According to your description, you are using office 365.
So I recommend you post this in Office 365 forum:
