Window size gets shrinked

I'm writing an extension for Adobe Illustrator and I encountered a problem with the size of the extension panel.
The problem is:
If I alt+tab (or loose the focus in any other way) while Illustrator is launching, once I open Illustrator my extension panel size is shrinked to extremely small numbers (approximately 2x2 or something similar).
This only happens if I set minHeight, minWidth and maxHeight maxWidth. It does not matter if I set it up in Bundle Manifest, or in <csxs:CSXSWindowedApplication declaration.
Another strange thing is that, when i do not specify min and max size settings (thus my extension is completely resizable, and launches correctly event if i was alt+tabed while launching Illustrator),
the function:
var winGeom:WindowGeometry = new WindowGeometry();
winGeom.width = 500;
winGeom.height = 700;
CSXSInterface.getInstance().requestStateChange(StateChangeEvent.WINDOW_RESIZE, winGeom);
does NOT resize the panel.
P.S. how to make your panel window not resizable? The way i'm doing it is setting minWidth, maxWidth and minHeight, maxHeight to the same numbers. Are there any better solutions?
thanks for any and all help!

  • Yosemite: How do I get back from full-screen to original window size?

    Okay, so today I used iPhoto for the first time since I reluctantly upgraded to Yosemite on Friday.
    iPhoto is one of the few apps I often take into full-screen mode, and so obviously I noticed today that they've kindly taken away the full-screen arrows in the top right-hand corner of the window in Yosemite.
    Posting a question about that in Support revealed the 'new improved' way to go full-screen, which is to click on the green traffic light in the top left-hand corner of the window.
    Fair enough, but how do I get my iPhoto window back to the size it was before I went full-screen? I tried clicking the green-button again, but that insists on the window being what I call 'maximised', ie. spread across the entire width of my desktop. I want to snap from full-screen back to the window size I had before going full screen.
    The arrows in the top right-hand corner used to do that perfectly well, but they're not there any more so I'm having to resort to laboriously re-sizing my window each time, which is far from ideal.
    Anyone able to advise me please?

    Do we know if it is iPhoto-specific, or do all app windows behave in this way?
    Actually, I suppose I could find that out for myself...

  • How do I get things to expand/contract with window size?

    RE: www.hawaiihosa.org
    I'm working on a website for my organization...and it looks
    alright when the windows of internet explorer and firefox are
    expanded...but when the windows are smaller, the heading remains
    the same size, and the text moves behind my vertical menu bar on
    the left.
    Is there a way to make it so that the header is the same
    width (with proportional height) as the width of the white area? I
    think the white area is set to a width of 80 percent or something.
    When windows are smaller, is there a way to make it so that
    the text in the body of the pages stays where they originally were
    (to the right of the menu bar...and not behind)?
    Another thing not related to window size...how do I get the
    text to be vertically in line on one side? Whenever write anything
    and it extends below the menu bar, it uses the full white space. I
    want it to have the same width of writing space as the rest of the
    page. In other words, I want it to be constricted to the right of
    the menu bar with the text being justified to the left.
    Hopefully someone can halp us with this.
    Thank you very much!

    I would set the page to adhere to a minimum width. Add
    min-width: 610px;
    to your css as shown below. (this won't work in IE browsers
    prior to 7
    so if you want to support that google min-width for IE6)
    .twoColLiqLtHdr #container {
    width: 80%; /* this will create a container 80% of the
    browser width */
    background: #FFFFFF;
    min-width: 610px;
    margin: 0 auto; /* the auto margins (in conjunction with a
    width)
    center the page */
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center
    on the body
    element. */
    To have the text vertically inline on one side as you put it
    try adding
    this to your css stylesheet:
    #container p {
    margin-left: 190px;
    Instead of the width for the side bar being 24% make it 170px
    as shown
    below:
    .twoColLiqLtHdr #sidebar1 {
    float: left;
    width: 170px; /* since this element is floated, a width must
    be given */
    background: #FFFFFF; /* the background color will be
    displayed for the
    length of the content in the column, but no further */
    padding: 15px 0; /* top and bottom padding create visual
    space within
    this div */
    You cant really make your header img grow/reduce in size as
    the page is
    enlarged or narrowed because it would distort. What you need
    to do is
    find a place to slice it into sections wherebay you can have
    part of it
    as a repeating background image i.e., the left and right side
    of the
    image remains on the left and right but the bit in the middle
    repeats
    itself as the browser window is widened and narrowed.
    This needs to be taken into account when designing a liquid
    page.

  • How do I get to my bookmarks in my bookmarks toolbar that do not show because my window size does not allow them to show?

    In the 3.x versions of Firefox there was an area after your last bookmark in the bookmark toolbar where you you could click and access all your bookmarks in the toolbar if the window size was not big enough to show them all.
    Now in 4.o all that shows are the bookmarks in the toolbar that fit in the window size. So if I have my browser window set to 900 pixels I can only see the bookmarks in the toolbar that fit in that area and I have no way of getting access to the ones that are not showing unless I make my window bigger. But even then my window can only get so large because of my monitor size at which point I can not access any of the other sites in the bookmark toolbar.
    Am I missing something or is there a glitch in the 4.0 version?

    Hi
    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately there is no chevron sign after the last bookmark nor after the "Bookmarks" text that if clicked takes me to all my regular bookmarks and oddly does not even list my Bookmarks Toolbar folder. If I want to get into my bookmarks toolbar folder I have to the top menu and click "Bookmarks" next to the "History" link and then navigate to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. Something odd is definitely going on and it's getting annoying.
    Any suggestions welcome. I attached a screen shot so you can see.

  • How to get header to stay centered on different browser window sizes

    Hi,
    Is there a way to change the header design so it stays
    centered and moves to accommodate different browser window sizes?
    Right now, it stays where it is, and everything else moves and
    stays centered as window size changes. I'm a new Dreamweaver user.
    the url is
    http://ellifolks.com/
    I tried changing the template I made for the site, and was
    able to delete some things, but it won't let me add things now. I
    can't undo to where it started, either. I tried doing a second
    template. Now I can't save anything -- I get a message saying
    "sharing issues".
    Thank you.

    Combining absolutely positioned elements with centering
    tables (as you have)
    accounts for about 20% of the posts on this forum. It's
    commonly done
    because it seems so easy. This is one of the penalties you
    pay for taking
    that easy road.
    The answer to your question is yes, you can do this.
    1. Make this image the page background -
    http://ellifolks.com/images/ellifolks_web_header_repeat.gif
    - and use CSS to
    give it a style of background-repeat:repeat-x.
    2. Place your assembled header within a STATIC div (i.e., NOT
    a layer) at
    the top of the page by changing this -
    <div id="apDiv1"><img
    src="images/dots_header_left.gif" width="175"
    height="192" alt="dots left" /></div>
    <div id="apDiv2">
    <div align="center"><img
    src="images/header_animals_logo.gif" width="759"
    height="195" alt="ellifolks logo" /></div>
    </div>
    <div id="apDiv3"><img
    src="images/dots_header_right.gif" alt="dots right"
    width="175" height="192" /></div>
    to this -
    <div id="header"><img
    src="images/dots_header_left.gif" width="175"
    height="192" alt="dots left" /><img
    src="images/header_animals_logo.gif"
    width="759" height="195" alt="ellifolks logo" /><img
    src="images/dots_header_right.gif" alt="dots right"
    width="175" height="192"
    /></div>
    3. Add this to your CSS -
    #header { width:1109px; margin:0 auto; }
    That should do the trick.

  • Window sizes settings have somehow changed and my windows do not open in the correct size anymore. How do I get my original window sizes to come back PERMANENTLY?

    After upgrading to FF 10.0, my window sizes are not correct. I use a web-based invoicing system and my invoice windows used to open to the size of the invoice. Now, it opens invoices in full screen. I need the invoice windows to open the way the site tells them to open. How do I make that happen again and never change after that?

    Safe mode disables the installed '''Extensions''', themes ('''Appearance''') and '''Plugins''' in '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons'''. So it could be that an extension is causing it. You can try to isolate it starting with script blockers and similar extensions and '''Disable''' or '''Remove''' it.
    Please also note that safe mode also disables hardware acceleration: '''Tools''' > '''Options''' > '''Advanced''' > '''General''': '''Use hardware acceleration when possible'''.

  • Can window size be adjusted? It goes off the bottom of my iMac screen.

    I can't get to the tool adjustments or the bins because they are off the bottom of my iMac 21.5" screen. Can't reach the screen corner to adjust window size. Any remedy?

    Drag the top left of your PSE Window down and to the left to shrink the size of the window, then reposition the window so now you can see the bottom right corner.

  • Problem with title bar icons to change window size

    i am running v 2.6 on vista 64 bit with a dual core processor. the window opens full screen on my Eizo 24" monitor set at 1900x1200 but there are no choices in the top right of my menu bar to shrink, move the window. i therefore cannot shrink the window or move it to my second monitor. if i right click on the lightoom icon in the taqsk bar, there are no choices to move, size, minimize,etc.  other applications including photoshop work fine with easy control of window size so i do not think it is my system or graphics card. contol-Q does not close the program and the only way i can do so is from the file menu.
    help please.

    Jerome,
    Hit 'F' enough times to get the title bar back.

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the div. The elements within this div have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.

    That's what APDivs do.  This is the single most common problem new people have with web page layouts.  DO NOT use positioning.  You don't need it.  Start over.  Learn to use CSS floats, margins and padding to align elements.
    Below is a basic HTML5 Layout.  View source in browser to see the code.

  • How  to change default window size?

    I'm using MX 6.0 on Mac... For some reason I can't figure out
    how to change the default window size in the work windows. Every
    time I open a new file to work on it opens to a smaller size than
    the actual page is. When opening pages dozens of times a day, it
    gets annoying to have to resize each time. I'm sure it wasn't
    always like this, but I can't figure out how to change it so the
    default size that it opens to each time is larger.
    Thanks for any help,
    DD

    Window | Workspace | Save Current
    This gives you the opportunity to save a current layout look
    that you like
    You might also look under
    Edit |Preferences | Status bar - but I don't see that this
    does anything
    in DWCS3

    make the curser go right up to the top of the screen and it will show the apple tab
    it will have two arrows facing together highlited in blue
    if u tap that it will take you to the normal tab

  • CS5.5 Mac crashes every time I change Window Size in Design View

    I'm using DW CS5.5 (version 11.5 build 5344) in Lion 10.7.3.  I added in a couple of window sizes (in Preferences) that correspond to iPhone and Android phones - 320x480, 480x320, 480x800, 640x960.  The 640x960 one works, as does a 592w one that came with Dreamweaver.  Any of the other ones, though, cause the app to hang in this one particular file I'm editing.  However, in the simple jQuery Mobile starter page DW creates, these resolutions work fine.  This appears to be related to some CSS code that I have inside of a CSS media selector:
    @media screen and (max-width:480px)
    There is also a corresponding
    @media screen and (min-width:481px)
    in the CSS.
    To test this, I created a window size of 481x320, and that seemed to work completely fine without crashing DW. The 480x320 one crashes DW.  I assume that's because it's using the different CSS section.
    Pasted below is the CSS code that goes along with the section that seems to cause the crashing:
    @media screen and (max-width:480px) {
      .column {
        margin: 1em 0;
        border-bottom: 1px dashed #7b96bc;
      #visit, #points, #main {
        width: 100%;
        .taplist li {
        width:50%;
      #map {
        display:none;
      .header {
        display:none;
    To further test this out, I commented out all of the code within that block.  The window sizes did not cause it to crash then.  I then started to add back in pieces of code to see when it began to crash.  The crashing seemed limited to the bottom two (#map and .header), although it wasn't consistent.  In some situations the window sizes would work and in others they would crash.  I didn't test every combo just because it took a lot of time.  With both of those in place, though, every one of the 480 or less sizes crashed.
    Notable, the #map section is commented out in the HTML, however including that in the CSS still causes intermittent crashing.
    I also deleted my cache file to see if that was it, and no luck.

    Thanks very much Chris for pointing me in the right direction.  I downloaded FontDoctor, and it found one questionable font which I deleted.  However CS5 continues to crash when selecting the Design Workspace. So I followed the steps outlined in the Adobe document you linked.  When I got to the point of downloading the FontTest.jsx file and ran it, CS5 crashed right away without writing any log file.  I turned on app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.YES, and CS5 is crashing with a TypeError: undefined is not an object. So I don't know if this is related to my original problem, or not.  Any thoughts on how to proceed to get the FontTest script to run properly?  I took all of the normal defaults when I installed CS5 (e.g., didn't select any alternate paths, don't have any add-ons installed, etc.).

  • HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE WINDOW SIZE OF EBUSINESS SUITE ON STARTUP

    HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE WINDOW SIZE OF EBUSINESS SUITE ON STARTUP
    How do you change the window size for Ebusiness Suite after you log in. Currently it displays at 100% of the screen. I want to set it smaller, at some %

    I don't know if there is a way to set this. Some user's may prefer different sizes of window, depending on their job duties. For example, we have 170 Systems document management integrated with purchasing and payables so users shrink the Oracle window to fill about 60% of the screen while 170 uses the remaining 40% to display the scanned document.

  • Firefox window will not shrink

    Since I upgraded to Firefox 31 clicking on the shrink button causes only minimal reduction in window size, while windows open in other programmes reduce to half size. In addition, the task bar disappears. This is more than annoying. Is there a fix?

    When you switch between a maximized window and a resizable window, Firefox generally uses the last size. If you resize the current window, then usually Firefox will use that going forward.
    If the window hides the Windows Task Bar, however, that can indicate a corrupted settings file. In particular, that file stores information about what toolbars are displayed and how large various windows and dialogs were the last time you displayed them. You can rename the file to return to the default settings. Here's how:
    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. Windows should display a list of the files and folders in your Firefox profile folder.
    Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
    * File menu > Exit
    Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something like localstore.old
    Start Firefox back up again. Are window sizes more normal?
