Windows 8.1 compatability

I have Windows 8.1 and using Adobe Elements 12.   Can I install Adobe Premiere Elements 10?    Are they compatible please?

Annsbeads
I have Premiere Elements 10 installed on Windows 8.1 64 bit and am running it successfully there. On that same computer, I have installed Premiere Elements 10, 11, 12/12.1, and 13/13.1. All installed and running well. That computer uses an Intel HD Graphics video card/graphics card.
If your Windows 8.1 64 bit uses NVIDIA GeForce card, then history is that you will not be able to run Premiere Elements 10
on that computer.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you.

I am trying to install Solaris on a Anigma Pentium II motherboard with integrated AGP/Audio/DVD, plextor CDRW, 40 gig maxtor ide hd new, unpartioned.....

cous anyone please point me in the right direction......I am new to Solaris, please help me get this installed.....

    Just an idea:
After installing the latest kernel + usb patches a system built around
an ASUS P2B showed similar behaviour: Soon after the screen is
cleared during the boot sequence the machine hung. Before installing
these patches the machine was running without problem.
The problem was a disabled USB IRQ in the bios setup. The system has
no USB peripherals connected, so the USB IRQ was disabled in the
    BIOS (in an
attempt to free some IRQs - which is actually nonsense in a PCI
system; some old habit from good old ISA PCs). Re-enabling the
USB IRQ in the BIOS fixed the solaris boot problem. Probably the
solaris 8 USB drivers had detected the USB bus and started scanning
for devices there; and that hung the machine due to non working USB controller IRQs.
Maybe you have a similar problem...

  • CS3 and Windows 8.1 compatibility

As above: After an system update my CS3 doen't run anymore. I suspect this update is a purpose of it. As for now, I cannot run,. re-install or even uninstall CS3 from control panel.
If I try to run CS3 setup file, it takes a long while for preparing installation and then nothing. When I re-run setup it says I must finish the previous installation process.
Any help, i.e. possible patches, appreciated.
    Kind regards

The general opinion is that it is not compatible. Not sure if there is an official Adobe report on this.

    Hello Experts,
Can you please confirm if SAP Fiori application is compatible in Windows Mobile OS 7.X/8/X devices? In  http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1935915 , I am not seeing any mention about Windows Mobile Devices. We need to know if SAP Fiori application can be run in any browser in windows mobile devices and if there SAP Fiori client in available in Windows App Store. Please help us in getting this information.

    Hello Krishna,
Thanks for the prompt response. So, after seeing the comments, should I come to a conclusion, as of now Fiori is not supported on Windows Mobile Devices and if my understanding is correct, are you aware of any tentative timeframe when we can expect Windows Mobile device compatibility for Fiori? The reason is we are looking for a customized Fiori application for Windows Mobile Device, and was looking to check Fiori compatibility for the same.

Right now, the SAP Fiori Client appliction doesn't work with SMP. With SMP 3 SP03 which was released last week (Ramp-up customers only, sorry), there is an updated proxy that supports Fiori access from a Kapsel application (the application would need to onboard with SMP and that's not supported with the Fiori Client today).
The next release of the Fiori Client will have support for SMP and more. Next on my todo list is a blog post that talks about SMP and Fiori. You should find all of your questions answered there. Expect it next week.
Yes, we plan on supporting Windows 8.1. Right now, Cordova on Windows 8.1 doesn't support some of the things Fiori Client does. We're working with the Fiori team, the Cordova dev team and Microsoft to work through all of those issues. No definitive timeline, but it is something we want to support

  • AirPort Extreme & Windows 8.0 compatability?

My Netgear wireless router just died and am researching an alternative for our household which includes 2 newer work related Dell laptops running Windows 8.0 and my 2 year old MacBook Pro and IPad 2. It seems most ever wireless router offered, whether an inexpensive throw away to high end ac products all have about 1/4 a1/3 of the reviews insisting they are garbage that doesn't even reliably stay connected to the internet let alone walk  on water as claimed.
Reviews of AirportExtreme claim reliable connection and ease of installation, both important. Forums, albeit several years old, claimed that the router shipped with channel 13 as default setting and that connecting to Windows clients was very difficult and many would not stay connected or had to be reset every time the windows machines hibernated or were shutdown. Are there persisting compatibility issues with Dells running Windows 8.0 or have they been addressed? Does one still need to change the channel to other than 13 to have it work stateside? Thanks for your help.

Hello borzo. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
I suspect the problem is that you have two active DHCP servers operating on your local network. One being the Win2K8 Server and the other is the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). By default, the AEBSn's DHCP server service will be enabled. The only way to disable it would be to reconfigure it as a bridge, i.e., Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode).

  • Windows 8.1 Compatibility Problem With CP1518

I have an HP LaserJet CP1518ni printer that I purchased 2 or 3 years ago.  We recently had our previous computers MOBO go out on us and had to replace our computer.  I decided to purchase a machine with Windows 8.1.  When I tried to install my printer, it will not recognize the printer at all.  I have tried installing/uninstalling, different drivers, the DOT4 communications software, everything that I can think of.  It just won't communicate with the computer.  In searching the internet, I have found two different places on HP's website that it discusses compatibility.  In one place, it says that it is USB and Networking compatible with Windows 8.1 and refers me to the Universal Print Driver.  In the other place, it is shown in a table that says my printer is not compatible with Windows 8.1.  I would hope that this is not the case, as the printer is not that old and was fairly expensive to purchase for a home office.  Has anyone had this issue with compatibility with Windows 8.1?  And, has anyone found a way to get Windows 8.1 to communicate with the printer?

    Hi ClarkUELS,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having a bit of an issue attempting to install the printer on to your Windows 8.1 computer.
I suggest that you start from scratch and turn the printer on and the computer on. Connect the usb cable to the computer and then the printer.  You will then see a Found New Hardware connection.  Go ahead and run the add a printer and select the CP1510 series.  This is a generic print driver and once it is installed you should be able to print with no issues.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • Elements 4.0 windows 8.1 compatibility

Just tried to get into Elements new computer & windows 8.1 update.  Got compatibility message.  Looked around and did not see anything pertaining to this PS version & 8.1 fixes.  Any ideas?  Please not the obvious buying newer version of Elements.

If there is it probably requires doing so in compatibility mode.  Try searching Google to see if anyone has looked into this for Windows 8 or even an earlier version since it likely a question for earlier Windows versions as well.

  • Windows 7's Compatibility Mode Behavior

I am reproducing this question which I posted to superuser.com a while back, without getting any response. I need to know the answer to this question; more and more of my users are encountering this problem.
    http://superuser.com/questions/743064/windows-7s-compatibility-mode-behavior
Consider the Application Compatibility Mode settings for a typical Windows program:
The question is: What exactly will happen to the environment (specifically, the access to C:\ProgramData) supplied by Windows to the program when the only change is to configure the properties for compatibility with WinXP SP3, as follows:
    The background:
An application that was last updated during Windows XP's heyday is now giving us some problems. Specifically, it's tuned to use a .NET library to write some files to a subdirectory in the %ALLUSERSPROFILE% area (on Windows 7, that's
typically C:\ProgramData) which are vital to the application's licensing. The files themselves are plain text files.
These text files are created and written using a much newer and separate .NET program which functions properly, writing the files in the correct place. But then running the older program doesn't read the files correctly; we haven't been able to determine
    exactly what's going on.
Many users are finding that setting compatibility mode makes it possible for the system to run correctly. I need to understand that much better.
    -- Rob

But that is not the question. The question is, "What is the list of shims and what does each of them do? "
As I pointed out, they're plain text files written to a subdirectory in %ALLUSERSPROFILE%. The installer requires administrator mode and then sets the rights on the subdirectory to "Full Control" for "Users" after it creates the folder.

  • Windows 7 Acrobat Compatibility

    Hello,
I would like to purchase Acrobat 9, but I am unsure if it works on Windows 7, which is officially released for those who have a Microsoft Developers Network (MSDN) License. I am currently running Windows 7 and the trial will not install properly, so my guess is that there are compatibility issues presently. I am unwilling to pay what I feel is an exorbitant price for the software if it will not work on the newest version of Windows. Please let me know if the software is compatible or if a patch etc is coming out soon.

This is a USER forum (space provided by Adobe) not Adobe support... so only another user who has the latest version of Acrobat AND the release version of Win7 will be able to answer
You may have better results at Win7 Help http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro/
My own GUESS would be that once Win7 is release to the general public, in October, Adobe will have a response

  • Why my software needs Local Admin? Windows 7 App Compatibility

    Hi
I have a software that works great on Windows 7
My problem is that I can run it only with local admin. if I'm logged in with a standard user - I get errors and the software doesn't open. no errors in the event viewer
Usually what I do in those cases is searching the registry or the folder that the user needs a modify permission and add it
Sometimes I use procmon if I can't find it manually.
in this case - procmon didn't help me :/. no "Access Denied" rows at all...
I tried to add the user to the "Power Users"\"Distributed COM Users" group and I still get the same error.
I tried to use the compatibility tab though the software works perfect on windows 7, my only problem is the prerequisite of local admin I'm trying to remove.
Is there any tool I can use to find out what the software does that requires local admin rights?
    Tamir Levy

    Hi,
Firstly please refer to this article to troubleshoot an application that cannot run as a standard user:
An Application Cannot Run as a Standard User
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd919180(v=ws.10).aspx
Some programs are designed to perform legitimate administrative actions and therefore require administrative permissions. There is no idea to run it without administrator.

  • Windows 8 reports compatibility problems boot camp 4

    Good evening.
My problem is that every time I boot up my Boot Camp Windows 8 partition, I get the dialog box stating that there are compatibility problems with Boot Camp 4. I am given the option to use the partition anyway, but I'm puzzled why this just began to appear, when I have been using Boot Camp 4 with a 32-but install of Windows 8 for several months now,,,
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Firefox ignores Windows 8's compatability setting for high dpi screens.

I recently tried the Windows 8.1 Preview, but then reset my machine to Windows 8 again.
Before this, the first time I installed Firefox, it ran at a low resolution, so all the toolbars and content appeared huge and blurry. I fixed this with the Windows 8 compatibility setting disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
After resetting the machine, and installing Firefox again, it was back to being blurry, so I changed the compatibility setting again, but this time, nothing happened. Even with the setting on, Firefox ignores it. Every other program with this setting works fine, and Firefox worked fine the last time around.
I was advised in the Windows support forums to ask the question here.

You can modify the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and increase or decrease the value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps to adjust the size of fonts and other elements in Firefox.
*The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref is a String value parsed to a float and allows to fine tune the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) more precisely (resolution 0.1 or 0.05).
*Change the default value -1 to 1 to make it work like in previous Firefox versions (100%)
Start with a value of 1 and adjust this value with 0.1 steps or 0.05 for finer adjustments.
*Use values between 1.0 and about 0.5 to reduce elements in size (do NOT go all the way to 0.05!)
*Use values greater than 1.0 to magnify and make elements larger (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI).
If web pages needs to be adjusted after changing this pref then you can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extension.
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    *NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
Use this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface:
