Windows Live Mail - when will be supported?

Windows 7 is for a while on the market already. PC Suite as well as Ovi do not support Windows Live Mail for synchronization of contacts and calendar (actually contacts can be synchronized on PC Suite).
It looks like MS is clear about its PIMs tools now so whe Nokia will support it?
Other than that. A synchronization log is required for Ovi so one could see what was synchronized. Now it is completly missing.

Hi Everyone,
Due to all the traffic we are receiving from this Nokia support forum I think all the Nokia users should know that Nektra Advanced Computing has tried several times to get in touch with OVI... To let them know that we have a solution that Nokia could integrate. Since we have been providing this type of API's since 2003. many leaders in the software industry are using our API into their solutions.
Thanks,

  • Push Mail Not Working Properly for Windows Live Mail when Online At Windows Live Messenger

    Hello,
This is quite an old subject, but it seems to be a recurring problem across versions of Windows Live Messenger handheld client software and Blackberry Internet Service server software. For some time, I used to have no issues with Live Messenger and Push Mail from Hotmail. Now, once again, I am having a huge delay, of several hours, when logged on as “Online” to Windows Live Messenger.
What makes me believe that it is not a Windows Live limitation, by design, due to protocols and notification mechanisms in use, is the fact that I can receive both push mail and instant message notifications, immediately, as long as I am logged on to Windows Live Messenger as “Busy” or “Away”. If the protocols in place allowed notifications to only a single service at a time, I believe it should not work regardless of the status on Windows Live Messenger.
I have been using Hotmail for quite a while and most of my friends use Windows Live Messenger, so I would like to keep both working in my BlackBerry. I understand BlackBerry has a commitment to offering broad compatibility, great stability, and better integration than other solutions on the market that appeals to fancy user interfaces and forget about objectivity. Having a mobile platform that can keep both the corporate and consumer world happy is definitely a great advantage. There are several loyal users that would like to keep sharing the proficiency on a common user interface for business and personal use.
I do not often post messages to online forums, but this is an issue that has been annoying me for quite some time and I am really looking forward to a solution. Is anyone experiencing the same behavior with Windows Live Messenger lately? Is RIM looking for a solution?
    Thanks,

  • Set up e mail to windows live mail

I have set up my e mail to Windows Live mail, when i send e mails it comes u with 'Server does not support ssl connection'. I have read a few other sites and says change the outgoing mail port from 25 to 465, i have done this and can now send, is this the corrct port numbers for BT. When i log in with live mail i then says 'The server you are connected to is using a security cetificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server?' I clock yes and my e mail gets sent. ANybody have any ideas?

If you have an Anti-Virus Application that scans incoming & outgoing emails you probably also need to check out that Application's setup instructions.

  • Windows Live Mail failure

After installing Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 I now find that my my Windows Live Mail 2012 will not start up.  In addition when I boot my computer I get this message:
"There was a problem that caused parts of the Windows Live ID Sign-in assistant to be disabled. The problem may have been caused by a program that was recently installed. For more information, please go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=144689"
The link opens up a web page to log into the Outlook Hotmail Account??
Clearly I can't uninstall my Adobe products, but there was no doubt that before I installed, I had no problems at all with my Windows Live Mail software.
    Please help.
    Graham

Hi Jeff.  There are no error messages when I installed the full package of software included in the Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6.   And all the software works fine.  It was after installing all updates for the software that when I restarted my PC I got the error message pasted in my first posting and then I found out that Windows Live Mail had stopped working too.  I've done a 'repair' on the Windows Live Essentials, but that hasn't made any difference.  Tonight I tried installing Windows Live Essentials tool from the MS site, but it stopped reporting I had a newer version already installed.  I haven't tried uninstalling all the Adobe Suite yet to see if the error pasted in my first posting goes and Live Mail returns, but that is a bit of a chew on.  It's 21:22 here in UK and have to go out.  Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

  • VERY SENSITIVE TOUCHPAD CAUSING PROBLEMS WHEN TYPING MESSAGESS IN WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

The laptop was recently purchased new. Windows Live Mail was installed and a mouse is used.
In respondng to an email, new email or typing a message in a forum setting such as this, the entire text would disappear which was often before a complete sentance could be typed and could not be retrieved. This process would repeat itself over and over again.
A technical representative from the company that sold the laptop concluded that combined with a very sensitive touchpad,
a moving cursor arrow, shadow from the typing hand and lightly brushing the touchpad with the typing hand either singularly or in any combination were the likely causes of the problem. He then, using the software in the laptop, deactivated the tap function in the touchpad leaving all other functions in the touchpad in place.  This resolved the problem.
      -  Is there a device or software in the laptop that adjusts the sensitivity of the touchpad so that the tap function can be restored?
       - Is it possible that the combination of Windows 8.1 and Windows LIve Mail  is really the problem  and if so, how is this  determined and if necessary resolved?
-Is there a hardware / software malfunction in the laptop causing this problem?
Any advice and comments would be appreciated

    Hi @unfinished ,
    Welcome to the HP forum!
It is a fantastic place to find answers and suggestions!
I see that your new HP notebook's touchpad is very sensitive and you would like to be able to alter that.  Here is a link to
Using and Troubleshooting the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 8).  There is a link to how to adjust the sensitivity.
As it is a new purchase you should be in warranty and can contact HP support for assistance if this did not help.

What is WLM?  Windows Live Mail
Outgoing port 465 does not work only 110 works You need to change the Ports and security settings to those that I posted or your signing into BTMail servers will not be accepted. See the link below.
incoming port 995 does not work only 25 works As above
when I use BT Yahoo both accounts work okay
When I use Windows live mail (which I prefer to use) only second account works but not main account (default account)does not work????
I have checked out all the other criteria you say.
I have spent the last 2 weeks with Windows live mail and they say everthing is okay at there end and should resolve this problem with you???
Have a read through this link and the part about Windows Live Mail and how to change it for BTMail.

  • Clicking on an e-mail address will NOT open Windows Live Mail which is already the default mail program which is already set as the default mail program

Clicking on an e-mail address will NOT open Windows Live Mail. Windows Live mail is already set as my default e-mail program.

Sorry you're having this problem. I think it was previously reported only by Windows XP users.
When you reinstall, were you making Firefox your default browser? Some users have reported that ''not'' making Firefox the default browser was an effective workaround.
However, you may have success with this approach, suggested by a user in another thread, which appears to more thoroughly update the Windows registry:
    # Open Adobe Reader / Acrobat
    # Edit->Preferences
    # In the Categories column click 'General'
    # Near the bottom of the page click the button marked 'Select Default PDF Handler'
    # In the dialog, select 'Adobe Reader XI' (or Adobe Acrobat, as the case may be) and click 'Apply'
    # A Windows Configuration screen will appear. Allow it to do its stuff (takes a few minutes), then restart your computer when prompted.
Does that resolve the issue for you?

  • Windows Live Mail 3 beta with Calendar support is now available

Windows Live Mail 3 beta is now available for download.  One important new feature is a calendar which automatically synchronizes with the Windows Live web calendar.  I'm hoping that Palm's "Hot Sync" will eventually support Windows Live Mail 3 so that Outlook is no longer necessary.  Is there a plan to support WLM3?

  • Reader opens and closes immediately by itself when try to open PDF from windows live mail or browser

    Hi,
I'm having problems with acrobat xi since installing it on my windows 7 computer.
Every time I try to open up a pdf file from windows live mail or a browser.. it opens and closes immediately.  The only way I can view it is if I save the file onto the computer, open up acrobat reader first then open up the file in there.
How do I make it work properly again please?
I've tried several things  so far like..
-Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
-Disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
    Please help me.  Thanks.

How can I tell which one it is exactly?  I think it is Acrobat Reader.. 11.0.10...
I can only open up a PDF if I save it to my computer and then open up the Acrobat program then open up a file using file > open.
But if I try and view a pdf from an email attachment in Windows Live Mail.. or from a browser... it will open and close immediately.
How do I fix this please?  thanks.

I didn't try creating a new user profile. Not sure I completely understand what you're suggesting. I dont't want a new/different profile. I just want to be able to install the update.

  • Firefox 7.0.1 causes windows live mail to report problem when link is clicked

When Firefox 7.0.1 is not open and a link in an email is selected (Windows Live Mail), mail reports an error "there was a problem sending the command to the program". The requested website does load after this with no problems. This same error has been previously reported with Firefox 4, however I have only recently had the problem.

Solved (for me). The problem was Roboform 7.5.5. When they updated Roboform to 7.5.6, the issue with Firefox 7 was resolved. Note that the problem did not occur with any other browsers before, and now it is fixed in Firefox 7.

In Windows Live Mail, click on Menu, Options, then Email accounts on the Toolbar. Highlight your @verizon.net  account and click Properties. Click the Advanced tab, then un-check the Leave a copy of messages on server checkbox.
This should remove mail from the server as it is downloaded.
