Windows XP PCI Driver porting to Windows 8

I have Windows XP PCI driver running on a proprietary serial board. Ported the same driver to Windows 8 by compiling it under Visual 2013 it compiled and linked flawlessly and created the ".sys" file. On the INF side making sure vendor
and sub ids were correct. Ran under windebug so to go around the digital signature restriction. It passed the configuration stage in the INF file but generated an error when it came to "installation" section of INF file. I had a
break point setup at driver entry but it never made it that far.
It's complaining about the functional driver in installation in other words can't seem to find the ".sys" file otherwise the break point should have worked. Any idea what may be wrong. I am not in front of the computer so don't have
the exact error message that it displays in the log file. Appreciate the response back. Thanks.

Windows 8.1_64 compatible PCI Serial port drivers for M58P (6209)

Missing PCI serial port driver on elitebook 2560p after faulty motherboard replacement

Hi,
I have the following issue, after a faulty motherboard replacement on my elitebook 2560p with Win XP, I find a question mark in the device manager list reporting that a PCI serial port driver is missing.
Browsing device properties I can read:
PCI serial port - PCI bus 0, device 22, function 3
and
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3D&SUBSYS_162B103C&REV_04\3&B1BFB68&0&B3
I've already tried locating driver without success in SP38312, SP45131, SP53918, unzipping the files and trying to locate manually the driver inside the folders with the windows driver update function.
can you help locating the correct driver?

845G MAX - "PCI Serial port" coming up as new hardware

Hi,
I just installed the motherboard and did a fresh install of win2k sp3. I've installed the latest BIOS, Intel inf and everything from the windows update service but it's still not able to install the PCI serial port. Can anyone clue me into what I need to do?

If your Ci is running then http://hostname:port should give you a start page, but if you login to perticular new instane with http://new host:new port and if this is returning some error then we can categorize as we have problem in new instance.
Can you please paste .out logs from your work dir for new instance.
and chek the memory settings according to following notes:
Note 696410 - Java VM settings for EP6 on J2EE 6.20
729178 - Java VM setting for applications running on J2EE Engine 6.20
634689 - Central Note for Memory Issues, SAP J2EE Engine 6.20
And specify your system configuration as well ..

Please uninstall from the device manager then reboot the machine, wait for 10mins or so OR download driver from the following link, uninstall driver using Device Manager then install driver from the downloaded file.

128 pcie drive performance

I'm considering purchasing my first Mac. I've been a *NIX user since 2006 with the exception of the many hours I enjoy installing updates for an OS I don't use and renewing anti-virus subscriptions all so I can use a mobile phone.
What has me sold is the performance of the PCIE drives, and I would potentially find the default OS tolerable. The problem I am concerned with is the really BAD, deceptive marketing regarding the read/write speed of the 128 size. I refer to the 312.9MB / s write of the 128GB SanDisk found in the 13" vs the 676.7MB / s write of the 256GB Samsung found in the 15". I would return the purchase if I ended up with the lower speed so would like to avoid that hassle for all parties.
What is the story on this with the current model? Same goes for Macbook Air, haven't decided between the two but I hate to take a performance hit when replacing a very old laptop. Money is an issue, I'm limited to the 13" versions, and the 128 drive - unless I go with the Air. Again, same PCIE SSD or flash in these two devices? Didn't get an employee to acknowledge there was a difference after dragging myself to the Apple store.

My local store did have the 256GB apple ssd sm0256f in the 13" model, only wish there were a way to confirm all came that way. It will be worth the paying of sales tax for that. It is out of my price range, but when looking at benchmarks of that particular dirve... wow.

Pci driver not loading

hi i have compaq 110c 1010sa the netbook crashed with blue screen when turned on so i have reinstalled xp and have got it back from the dead most things work i have one issue left with the pci driver which downloads but when installing it stops and says its the hardware supported is not recognized

Please go to the device manager and click on the PCI device with the yellow ? mark.
Then click on the details tab.
Post the string of characters you see there.
You need XP SP2 or SP3 installed in order to see the hardware ID.

in device manager - other devices - pci device is with yellow mark os:windows 8.1 , laptop B5070 series .
in PCI events tab mesage is:
Device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&SUBSYS_380117AA&REV_01\00000001004CE00000 was configured.
Driver Name: null

pls. suggest how remove yellow mark, suggest or provide link to get compatable driver.

Can't find a PCI-serial port

Hello:
I am using a PCI-Serial card to control a serial-port stage, I can not find the serial port with Labview8.0. Windows can find this serial port. When I use the same Labview program in my old computer which has a serial port on board, it can be recognized. Shall I change something of the 'Visa serial' communication module?
The attached file is a Labview programmed driver for a motor-stage.

If Windows can't find the serial port, then LabVIEW isn't going to find it, and it's irrelevant what you've coded. You should go into the Windows Device Manager to see what it tells you about the device. Does it even show up in the list of devices? Does it have a driver loaded? If it doesn't show up in Device Manager, try plugging the card into another PCI slot. Does the card show up if you plug it into another computer? Perhaps the card is bad.

Network controller & PCI driver

I just reinstalled my windows 8. But after it's finished, then my wifi is not listed. And i've checked on my device manager, my network controller and pci are not installed. Is it the main cause of my wifi being not listed?
If it's right, then what should i do?

I don't know what model wireless card your notebook has, so please do the following and I will figure that out and post the link to the wireless card driver you need.
Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.
Now you should see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the 3rd item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

Bluetooth Controller: I need to know what model wireless network card your notebook has.

If you are having issues installing the new Win 7 PCI/PCIe driver.

If you have a problem with updating to the new Win 7 driver, you may need to do a virgin re-install.
Uninstall PatchMix and the drivers from the uninstaller, or from add/remove programs.
Power down and remove the PCI card.
Boot up and let windows do it's own clean up.
Power down and re-insert the PCI card.
Cancel windows hardware wizard if it pops up, (and it should), then install the most recent PatchMix and beta driver updates.
You may need to load a new factory template in PatchMix, and then rebuild any custom session templates you had.

Now, do you have to disconnect your printer everytime that you want to use it? If so, this is just a temporary fix and that's not something that you should have to do with regularity.
It's GLARING, the amount of people who are having issues with this software. Is APPLE listening to its customers? I'm to the point where I'm about to NOT recommend an I-Pod to anyone that asks. If they do, that's what I'm recommending. I'll also steer them to this website so that they can see with their own eyes, the problems that everyone is having.
This is totally ridiculous. I've been trying for THREE weeks to get my POS I-Pod Shuffle to download songs through I-Tunes 7.0. It's clear to me that these designers of this software haven't got a clue.
Sorry for the rant but I've had it with this junk.
