Wireless keeps disabling itself on u330p

How does it come that my wireless is soooo baad on the U330p. It seems like i'm not the only one with that problem ? I have tried the settings you guys recommended to another guy in here with the same problem. But still it keeps disabling it self and i get the message that there is a problem with the wireless device or the driver. I even have the latest drivers.

Hi,
You should try to disable the power management functions of the WIFI adapter. Go to the Device Manager (Run > execute devmgmt.msc to open) > Network Adapters > right click on your adapter and Properties > Power Management tab > uncheck Allow this computer to turn of this device to save power. Then reboot, check if the setting is still unchecked.
Worked for me.
Good luck!

  • My ipad keeps disabling itself

My ipad has disabled itself twice for no reason.  Anyone else having this problem?  I haven't put in the wrong password.  It just disables itself.

    Weird.
I don't want to give you false confidence but try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
Hopefully you're within reasonable distance of an Apple Store.  If so, make an appointment and visit the resident "Genius."  Otherwise, a call to Apple might be appropriate.  You're beyond the time period for free phone support BUT the iPad is still in warranty so I don't know what you'll have to say to avoid getting charged for the call.  800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and I think Canada.

  • Only One domain controller, Remote Registry service keeps DISABLING itself. Where in the registry could this be set?

This is killing my remote management. I have 4 server 2012R2 domain controllers.  Only one of them is being affected with this problem.  Almost everytime I check, the remote registry service is disabled again.  It seems like there is a corrupt
group policy preference that keeps on attacking during a policy refresh, but I can't imagine setting a group policy to disable this service.  It is needed for our remote management.  Also the IP Tunnel service is also disabling.  Another strange
artifact is that when I set a Windows Firewall policy to add an exception for remote administration in a group policy to my Admin workstation, it seemed to set a firewall rule in other computers to block remote administration.  I can not figure out where
else this strange Windows Firewall rule Blocking remote administration could have come from.  These may be related or they may not, but they are occuring on the same domain controller.  I am able to set the RemoteRegistry service to enabled and to
start it (which I have done too many times now), but it constantly is being changed back to disabled.  I am searching the registry to find any invalid entries or artifacts that may be affecting these two annoying effects, but I cannot find anything yet.
Any ideas?  I need to know what policies will disable the remoteregistry service OR the IPTunelling service, or where in the registry this could be set to enact this during a policy refresh.  Of course, any other ideas are welcome, I have spent
several days troubleshooting this, and need to conquer this by tomorrow if possible, thank you. James

    Hi,
    Please type
services.msc in RUN to open Services panel, navigate to the Remote Registry service. Then open its Properties and set
Startup type: Automatic. Then please check if this issue still exist.
In addition, please refer to mlippold’s suggestion (the last reply) in following thread and configure relevant
value in RemoteRegistry registry key, then check if can help you to solve this issue.
For registry items, please back up all registry items before all operations. That will help us to avoid some unexpected issue.
    Remote
Registry Service stops automatically if we do not use it above 10 minutes
By the way, did you open Event Viewer and check if find any relevant errors?
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • ICloud Add-in Keeps Disabling Itself in Outlook 2013

I have installed and synced the iCloud add-in with Microsoft Outlook  2013 (32-bit) on my Windows 8 (64-bit) desktop.  It has worked reliably for more than one year, reliably syncing data between my PC, "the cloud" and my iPhone 4s.  A few days ago, I noticed that the add-in was not enabled in Outlook.  I enabled it via "file", "Options", "Add-ins" in Outlook and it then worked just fine.  However, each time I closed Outlook and re-opened it, the add-in had once again been disabled and had to be manually enabled again.
I have uninstalled iCloud, "repaired" Outlook, re-installed iCloud and the situation has not resolved itself.  I have now gotten used to the hassle of manually enabling the add-in each time I open Outlook, but I would obviously prefer to get things operating properly.
An suggestions how to solve this issue?

I have had this issue on three separate PCs.  It's maddening but I have found a solution that works (at least on my PCs).  I fixed it with this tip I picked up in another forum.  Here are the steps:
1 Connect to Outlook 2013 as Administrator (right click Outlook icon and select 'Run as Administrator')
2 Disable Icloud Addin (In Outlook Options)
3 Close Outlook and restart PC
4 Run Outlook 2013 as Administrator
    5 Reactivate Icloud Addin
    6 Close Outlook 2013
7 Restarted Outlook 2013 as normal User
Have had no issues since.  This fix worked on both Outlook 2010 (one install) and 2013 (two installs) for me.  My theory is that something done in the enablement step requires actual 'Administrator' instead of delegated 'Administrator' rights.
Happy trails, I hope it works for you too!

TRY FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.

  • Find My iPhone keeps disabling on its own?

Its a verizon iPhone 4S running 6.1.3. Find my iPhone under the iCloud settings keeps disabling itself. it doesnt even ask me for permission. It just randomly does it on its own. It usually turns off in a day or 2. I've seen it turn off in hours though. Could it be something I did? I've tried putting on restrictions and disable account changes but its as useful as a calculator on an english test. Has anyone had this problem?

I have a 4S as well, and am with Fido in Canada, and I'm having the same issue where my iPhone suddenly loses all of my calendar and notes information.  My "find my phone" feature disables on its own as well.  I still have my contacts, and everything is still on icloud when I sign in using my mac, but they are deleted on my phone.  Maybe it is due to large gaming (or other RAM-eating apps).  Whatever the issue is, it's certainly annoying!
I've tried just backing up my phone using iTunes instead of through iCloud, but it's not as good at keeping files up to date if I lose them.  I never had this issue before iOS7.  I would backup through iTunes, and sync all my devices so that I wouldn't lose most of the data.  Now, the data isn't lost; it's just not STAYING on my phone.  Get it together, Apple.  I like you a lot, but I had higher expectations from you.

  • ITuns keeps opening itself

    Hi guys!
my problem is just as the subject says!
    Itunes keeps opening itself
I tried everything but can't get around this. NOTE: didn't have ituneshelpper to open at login in the first place.
First i tried deleting itunes preference files - didn't work
Tried removing every app i could think of that could be interfering with iTunes - didn't work
Tried to trash ituneshelpper app from itunes package contents - nothing changed
At this time i think i had itunes 10.7 installed for a while i.e. i think it wasn't since upgrading that this problem began
then i tried uninstalling iTunes and do a fresh install - kept opening itself at login and periodically if i closed it
tired removing itunes preference files again to no success
tried to remove itunes helper at this time because it appeared at login items - no luck! even tough i removed it from login items several times it kept appearing there and even at exhaust (a login items app) all this after trashed the itunesHelper from itunes package contents again!!
At this time decided to re-install Lion again form HD recovery drive!
After this iTunes stopped opening at login only to find that i had to install the latest version (10.7) because the library was created by a newer version and as such it wouldn't open!!
after updating iTunes it started all over again!!!
And now for a little side problem - might mouse center and side buttons stopped working as well as secondary button!!! can't get around that also!!!
    Help, please!!!
    i'm running lion 10.7.5
Sorry fort the long post and thanks!!!

    Hi,
I bought a new core i5 macbook pro a couple of days ago and started getting this problem about 2 hours ago and didn't know what was happening. Everything was disabled, including taking the battery from the remote out, yet itunes was still starting up.
I just found something but not sure if it's the cause of the problem. My audio cable was not connected properly and when i moved it, itunes would start up again, and kept moving it and kept starting up, and while open, i would move it again and it would play songs. I disconnected it and plugged it back in, tried moving it and it would not start itunes. I think this has to do with the port supporting the apple earphones with remote on them. Lets hope this fixes it and if so, hope it helps others.

  • Itunes 10.5.0.142 keeps restarting itself on Windows 7, how can I turn this off?

All of a sudden, itunes 10.5.0.142 keeps restarting itself on Windows 7.  I did not change any configuration settings on Windows.  How can I disable this?
    Thanks

I should have posted this earlier, but anyway. I restored my laptop to factory version after backing up any useful data, and the first thing I the laptop was restored was connect to the internet, download and install the latest version of iTunes. And Bingo! It worked.

But I'm so lost without it - I have brought a cheap emergency mobile however I miss my blackberry!!
    Thanking you in advance!

    Hey zmblake,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
I would suggest to do a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320, please test before restoring any data to the device.
If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

If the issue still persists after the reload, further investigation might be required. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.

  • Windows firewall keeps switching itself on!?

I have a funny problem that the Windows firewall seemingly refuses to accept that there is another firewall on my computer, and instead keeps switching itself on. I keep turning it off all the time, but it just won't take no for an answer.
Every time I start my computer the Windows firewall is on, as well as the Comodo Internet Security firewall that is the firewall I want to run. The Windows security center reports that both firewalls are on (so, in particular, it recognizes Comodo), so I turn off the Windows firewall. This I have to do after every reboot. Also, as soon as I switch from cable Internet connection to wireless connection, the Windows firewall silently turns itself on again. This is a problem since it screws up my wireless connection to have two firewalls running at the same time. Again, turning the Windows firewall off manually works just fine --- or so the system says --- but when there is a change of connection status from cable to wireless the firewall is turned on again.
I have spent quite some time now trying to solve this problem. I finally asked at the Comodo user forum, and got the advice to run services.msc, go to Windows Firewall, right click to get properties and then change the start type from automatic to manual. This works, but now I can no longer check the firewall status in the security center since the whole service has been shut down (I get a popup window with the message "Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall service?"). Therefore, it seems to me that this is a pretty big hammer to use just to stop the Windows firewall from respecting being turned off and staying turned off.
So is there a better way of solving this problem than hacking the settings in services.msc? In particular, could there be some settings for the wireless card that turns the Windows firewall on that I should change instead? I have been trying to search for such settings, but have not found anything. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
To the extent that it is relevant, I am running Comodo Internet Security 3.13 on 64-bit Vista Business SP 2 on a Lenovo X200.

I think you missed the point, the remote app sends a signal to AppleTV to turn it on. I am not sending any signals to AppleTV to turn it on. There is also no HDMI activity, it is purely network. So AppleTV is waking for whatever reason. It shouldn't wake until I tell it to.
Your TV doesn't decide to wake itself does it?
Your VCR/DVD/BR players don't turn themselves on?
Your PC Doesn't? ... unless you've scheduled it.
Your car doesn't randomly start itself?
You see where I'm going with this. There should be an option in ... 'options' to stop this from happening, and also an explanation of what it is doing in the first place. It should not, unless allowed to by the user, wake itself.

  • My computer keeps restarting itself for the last two hours and i don't know what to do. Please help me

I need help, my MacBook Pro keeps restarting itself for the last two hours saying there's a problem. I can't get past the grey screen without it restarting and i don't know what to do...please help me

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Select ReinstallLion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from
the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is
                    three times faster than wireless.

  • My ipod keeps resetting itself when i plug it in to the computer, now what?

Basically, I plugged my ipod into my laptop as usual and itunes sprang up with an error message that i can't quite remember. I just remember that it mentioned a file corruption and that i should either restore the ipod settings or i should disconnect and reconnect it. I reconnected it and got the same result, then tried again. This time iTunes didn't recognise it all and within a minute of being connected my ipod reset itself. The laptop registers it, but my ipod just keeps resetting itself and i don't know what to do. I've tried resetting it and restoring default settings, so what more can i do or is a repair the only option?

Follow the steps mentioned in this article to disable the camera notification: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1501 , then try again to connect to iTunes.

  • Repeat one disables itself

Hi, Repeat one functionality disables itself after I change the song. It works fine for one song, but does not persist for the next song. For example, when I turn it on while listening to song X, song X keeps repeating, which is fine. But then, if I switch to song Y (either through forward, rewind, or select through playlist), repeat one does not apply to song Y, and I have to enable it again to get it working for song Y. The issue seems specific to Android, as repeat one works fine on my Spotify Desktop. Your deviceGalaxy S4. What type of account do you have?Premium Did you manually install an older version before installing the latest version from the Play Store? No My mobile Spotify version3.0.0.1124

    Hello
    Sorry for the late reply.
I am not the developer who added it into the mobile app, but this behavior is intended.
Let's say you are playing a song from a playlist and you want to listen to it over and over again.
You then open the now playing view and tap on repeat until it goes to repeat one.
Since you want to keep listening to that song you close out of the Spotify app and carry on whatever else you are doing.
If you then decide to play another song or continue on with the playlist, the repeat one option is turned off.
I think this is intended because usually you don't just want Spotify to repeat one every song you tap on.
If it so happens that you want a certain song on repeat one, then you would just go to the now playing screen and turn repeat one on.
It would be a hassle to leave repeat one on because when you want to play a different song or continue playing the rest of the playlist, you would have to go to the now playing screen EVERY SINGLE TIME and turn off repeat one so you can continue listening without the app repeating the next song that you chose, over and over again.
The desktop app keeps the repeat one on because the button is always in view and easy to turn on and off. It's not so easy in the mobile apps.
    Hopefully my thoughts are helpfult.

  • Apple ID keeps disabling

My AppleID disables itself at least once a week, usually twice a week, forcing me to call Apple to get it reactivated. They can never tell me why it's happening, or they might say they loosened some of the restrictions or red flags that block my ID when I make purchases. I make 99 cent purchases or a movie on Apple TV. There is NO reason this should keep happening. It's been going on for 3 months and I must have called Apple to reactivate it about 15 times. Never a permanent fix. I am ready to totally disassociate myself from Apple. FireTV or Google Play are my next step. I don't need this aggravation any more. And Apple's inability to prevent this weekly annoyance is probably what makes matters worse.

    Hi Marissa,
You mention in your last post that your Apple ID has been disabled. Here is an Apple Support article that might help:

  • Hands Free Mode keeps turning itself on.  How do I stop it?

I have repeatedly turned off hands on mode (Settings/Device), but it keeps turning itself back and the stupid voice wants me to say "Hi Galaxy" or asks if I'm having a nice day.  It may have been a nice day, but not after hearing that voice.  This seems to be associated with receiving a notification.
How do I turn off this feature such that it only comes on when I want it to?
    John

I'm sorry to hear about this issue that's occuring with your phone jstevens8352. Have you tried adjusting the notifications on your device? I have listed them below:
      • From the home screen, select Apps (located in the lower-right).
      • From the Apps tab, select Settings.
      • From the My device tab, select Sound.   • Select Notifications.    • Select a notification then select OK.
Do you have any apps that may be tied into this setting? If so, please temporarily remove. I would also recommend safe mode? Put the phone into safe mode and test the device, then disable the setting. Here is a link to the steps http://vz.to/1hCWfLm .
