Has this been happening only after upgrading to linux 3.19.2-1?
Do you happen to see
pci_pm_runtime_suspend(): hcd_pci_runtime_suspend+0x0/0x60 [usbcore] returns -16
or the like in the output of dmesg?
I ask because ever since my upgrade to 3.19.2-1 my previously happy Logitech USB wireless mouse has been intermittenly hanging for a few seconds. Looks like a power management issue and, sure enough, appears to happen only when running on battery.
(See also this post and this bug report, perhaps tangentially related.)

i have an iphone 5 that i traded with from a family member. its has coverage but now the sleep/wake button doesnt work sometimes. can apple replace my iphone and give me a new one or is it just something they can repair? i dont have the box or recipit to apple care or the iphone

Apple can fix it without your receipt or box. They pull the serial number from the device and determine warranty status from that.  Hopefully ApplCare was registered to the product before you lost the receipt though.  If not, you can go back to the point of purchase and obtain your AppleCare receipt and Apple can help attach it to the iPhone.

  • Apple wireless mouse and keyboard stop working ... now says OS X version and bluetooth incompatible

For no apparent reason my apple wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working. I was not upgrading or installing anything, the batteries are good, nothing was changed as far as I know. Now bluetooth discovers the paired devices, connects for about 30 seconds, the disconnects ... or stays connected but doesn't work.
What's happenned ... I'm rushing to finish a big job ... any ideas? I've tried re-pairing but doesn't work ... says that OSX version may be incompatible with device bluetooth ... I'm using Lion so maybe there is another lion problem?

    Hello:
Barry: What do you mean with "making devices favorites"?
    This is the method:
Go to system preferences>bluetooth.  Highlight an item in the sidebar.  If detailed information does not appear, click on the little gear and select show more info.  Then click on the gear again and select favorite.
And how could an hardware-related problem be (temporarily) solved rebooting the OS?
Intermittent problems are, IMHO, most often caused by hardware.  Restarting will occasionally "fix" problems - why, I do not know.

  • New ThinkPad Precision Wireless Mouse (MORFGOO) does not work

    Hello to everyone,
My wireless mouse does not work. The symptoms are: The mouse is completely unresponsive, as if it had no power at all (cannot be turned on, no red laser, no interaction with CPU).
How I came to notice the problem:
I installed the mousesuite from lenovo/support/mousesuite. Then I restarted the computer. After this, I connected the USB Bluetooth Adapter to a USB port of the ThinkPad 430s 2352 CTO. I tried to turn the mouse on. No changes were noticed, Mouse still offline, no light. Tried a different set of battery & tried the wireless button. No change. Reinstalled the mousesuite. No noticeable change.
I believe the mouse might be broken. Could anyone please provide me with support as to how I could solve this? In the case that it is non-functional, how do I return it to lenovo? Is it under my one year guaranty (I bought it as an accessory on my command for my laptop)?
    Thanks for your answers!

    Hi,
Your migration to Lion brought over a previous hot key preferences document. And this contains one bad key that wasn't updated.
    - Quit System Preferences (if open)
    - Delete this document to remove a carry-over mapping error.
    - Then logout
Note: That this will delete any existing modified keyboard assignments. Re-assign changes manually.
Note2: This document is in your users preferences folder.

  • Wireless mouse expose buttons dont work

Can anyone tell me if the side buttons on the wireless mouse work? On the mighty mouse they reveal expose but in the wireless mouse nothing happens.

    Hi, Santi —
    Yes, they "work" —
                — but not in any way akin to what you're hoping.
The side "buttons" are intended to provide what I'll call a "Hold" capability — and that's all. The idea is...  how do I explain this...  let's say you're moving the mouse and it reaches the end of the pad/desk surface. Instead of losing dursor controrl entirely, you press-and-hold these "side buttons" while raisng the mouse, then placing it back wherever needed to begin again. Theoretically (and actually, if you hold 'em just right), the cursor will remain static during this maneuver.
So, as advertised, the Apple Wireless mouse is a single-button mouse.
    Sorry to disappoint. Maybe someday...

  • Wireless Mouse - Logitech vs. Apple

I continue to have various problems with my Logitech Wireless Mouse. iMac wakes from sleep without a command, mouse goes dead and/or is not recognized by the computer, jerky scrolling, etc.
I really want a wireless mouse but I can't live with this Logitech Mouse. Is the Apple Wireless Mouse more reliable and/or problem free?
    Charlie

There are problems with both, but try the Apple mouse, as long as you keep it clean and have a non-reflective non-slippery mouse pad, you should be fine with it.

  • Mac wireless mouse left click not working on macbook pro laptop

I think I found a couple of solutions, but they have been temporary,,,,would welcome more ideas.
it happens when I travel. when you switch Wifi connections in different locations.
all of a sudden the left click on the mouse stops working, and you can only right click.
these are the only things that have worked so far to correct the issue:
    rebooting (not always works)
hitting the escape key (worked at first)
making sure the mouse batteries are not low, and that no other track pads are interfering with it…(works sometimes)
the last fix was right clicking on the apple and putting it to sleep.  then return by hitting escape and the problem was fixed (at least for now)
this happens all the time now, especially when I switch wifis….
    c

Mystery solved! The one thing I did not try was to actually print... which works! Even while the Mac OS X W-Fi icon still shows the 'connecting' animation or the 'problem' exclamation mark.
Possibly Mac OS X just signals that the Wi-Fi does not connect to the internet or the likes. The Wi-Fi connection per se does work, also with password and with IPv6 enabled.

When requesting help you should always include the make/model (i.e. p6-xxxx) of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them.  Also, what is the model of the webcam.

  • Logitech wireless Mouse, 24" iMac w/OS10.6.8. No work?

Bought a new (cheap) Logitech M325 wireless mouse. Would not work. Took it back to the store (Best Buy). It was demonstrated as working fine on the stores new display model iMac. However the sales person said I needed to activate it's use thru the Bluetooth function and showed me how. I got a brand new replacement mouse and  tried it. No luck. The Blue tooth would not "find" it. Online discussion with Logitech says I got bad advice in that the Bluetooth has nothing to do with it. Just plug it in and it should work. I tried all the troubleshooting ideas they had, such as new batterries and trying different USB ports, keeping the mouse close etc. Logitech says send it back to them and they will give me a new one. Already tried two new out of the box ones.  I am suspecting the claim that it works with OS10.6 may be unwarrented. Anyone got a clue as to what could be wrong?

I found this Logitech model of their website.
It says that ot works with OS X 10.5 and greater.
It is the old fashioned wireless Infared style model of wireless mice, not Bluetooth.
The Infared receiver plugs into a available USB port.
You need to plug the receiver into one of the main powered USB ports on the back of the iMac.
You can't plug the receiver into one of the keyboard USB ports as there won't be enough power to power the receiver.
Did you install the latest Logitech Control Center preferences software?
That may make a difference as to whether it works or not.

  • Will a wireless Mouse/Presenter work with SWF/CP output?

I see on the market lots of wireless presenters. Some boast
multi-functionality, where they become effectively a wireless
mouse. Will these work within a SWF, so that you can navigate a
tutorial that is nothing more than a glorified PPT show?
It's not a PPT show cuz it's a little more involved than what
PPT does effectively, but the keyboard is not required to navigate
    this thing.
I'm assuming that if a presenter boasts 'internet browsing'
capability, then your SWF should be able to be navigated fine.
    Is this a correct assumption?

    I would probably assume that.
I would reccomend a presenter with a "joystick" type control.
The trackball type are a pain, and usually get gummed up like the
    old ps2 mice.

  • Problems with wireless mouse in win xp sp2

I recently installed Windows XP2 in a Bootcamp 3.0 partition on my iMac 27". After installing the Apple drivers from the Mac OSX disk everything seems to work fine except for the Magic Mouse which does not respond at all. A wired USB mouse works fine, and, strangely eonough, when I access the Bootcamp partition through VMWare Fusion 3.0, the Magic Mouse works fine.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing the Apple drivers but that didn't work. When I look in Device Manager in Windows, under Bluetooth Radios, there is a Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator at Location:Apple Wireless Mouse and an Apple Wireless Mouse at Location:0. Could this be causing the conflict? I tried uninstalling the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator but it gets automatically re-installed at the same location when I reboot Windows.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
    Thanks in advance
    Javed Shakoor

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your response. As you advised I set a System Restore point and installed Bootcamp 3.1. After I restarted the computer, the message "Found New Hardware: Apple Wireless Mouse" appeared briefly above the task bar, then it disappeared. The usual message which comes after this, telling you that the new hardware is ready for use, did not appear.
And whats more important, the wireless mouse still refuses to work!
When I go to Bluetooth Devices in the Windows Control Panel, the Apple Wireless Keyboard is shown as connected, but there is a "macbook 1's mouse" in the list which is not shown as connected.
As I said earlier I am still running on Win XP SP2. I am wondering maybe SP2 doesn't work with the new Apple wireless mouse. Do you think I should set another System Restore point and upgrade to SP3?
In the Windows Device Manager, under Bluetooth Radios, there are two devices:
    1. AppleBroadcom Built-in Bluetooth at Location 0 (Bluetooth USB Host Controller}
    2. Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator at Location on Apple Broadcom Built-in Bluetooth
Both these devices are shown as working properly. However, does it seem to you there is a conflict there?
Thanks for your help so far, and apologies for the long list of questions.

  • Wireless Mouse X3300 - Software Suite Install

Recently got a new Hp Wireless mouse x3300.
It works fine (Windows 7 recognised it as a new input devise) but would like to be able to configure it.
Downloaded the latest drivers and software suite from the HP site (sp60614.exe).
But these fail to install correctly and come up with permission issues on trying to create registry keys.
Error 1401 - Could not create key \SOFTWARE\Microsift\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
I've tried installing both as me and as administrator but makes no difference.
Other people seem to have reported this issue but I've seen no solution.
    Can you help?!
I'm running standard Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
I've also had a look at the regsitry permisiions for that key and can see no obvious permisision issue.
