Wireless problem after recent upgrade

Hi Guys,
I am getting really dissatisfied with Mac. I was avid mac user for last 7 years but recntly I see more and more problem with mac. I bought a new macbook pro few months ago. I have linksys wireless router. It was perfectly fine. I did the recent software update couple of days back and since than I am having problem with my wireless. Whenever I close the lid of my laptop and open it again, wireless get disconnected. Everytime I have to try to connect three or four times to get connected to wireless although every time it says the same thing that I am connected and my internet is fine. But If I try to open any webpage, it gives error that internt is not working. Did anyone else see similar problem after recent update.

No, that is not the source of problem. It was my mistake. `uname -r` in arch-chroot shows the version of host machine's kernel. Thus, I got the correct kernel by pacman -Qi linux.

after the most recent upgrade, my phone is telling me that my phone storage space is getting low, but there is plenty of open space.
now its not letting me send of receive texts. everytime i try i get a message saying "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" then i have to force close.

I'm always sending and receiving text messages so I know how frustrated you must be and I'm here to help.
We have had other users getting the "Low memory or storage" message after the recent SW update and some are unable to send or receive text messages. We've found that performing a hard reset has resolved this issue. I know this can be a hassle, but this is the only way to fix the text messaging issue, as well as the "Low memory or storage" message.

DRM problem after recent upgrade

Just recently upgraded my system with pacman -Syu, now my system does not boot and halt with an error message as
[drm: intel_dp_aux_wait_done] *ERROR* dp aux hw did not signal timeout (ha irq.0)!
UPDATE: I installed linux-lts, which is kernel 3.0. The error disappears but the system halt when reaching the desktop environment. I have only the desktop background with no icon or menu. Just mouse moves, and no action from keyboard.

Paralellism problem after recent upgrade to 11.2

Hi Gurus,
We have recently upgraded from OWB 10.1 to OWB 11.2
In 11.2 there is no parallelism for DML statements (INSERT, MERGE etc) in OWB mappings.
The reason is that the new configuration parameter "Enable Parallel DML" is by default set to false (in 10.1, parallel DML was always enabled).
We have enabled the parallel DML now in 11.2.
However we have to still set the parallel hint in the target tables(s) for the parallel DML to be in force
Now;As I have a huge set of mappings and we are wondering on what basis should we decide on to set these
hints on target table
If we enable the hints for all of the target tables it is resulting in
1) few mappings executing faster(hints in place and paralellism helped)
2) few mappings executing slower(the paralellism made performance worse)
3) none(no change with or without paralelism i.e in this case without paralelism helps as it will free up resources and result in total performance improvement )
so,on what basis should we decide on enabling hints and paralelism in OWB 11.2

I can tell you this. We have over 2k processes that run daily and 200+ monthly processes that are loads of data with over 100m rows, sometimes more. With that 2000 processes only about 10 of them use parallel execution.
In general we use parallel because we have to, not because we want to.
As I said it depends on so many factors. Your system configuration, your procedures, optimization techniques (level), ...
As default value for us, parallel is OFF, but we hint are procedures to do what we want them to do and not what Oracle tells them to do.

Problems after recent upgrades

Tonight I just upgraded iTunes, Quicktime and a Security update and now when I plug in my iPod Touch with a USB cord it does not charge OR appear in iTunes. Is anyone else having this problem? It's not the USB port, checked that by plugging in external hard drive. Not iPod, plugged that in directly to wall socket and started charging.
Just nothing when plugged in to PowerPC.

Have you tried powering down the machine, then back on?

May start my own thread, but I'm having similar issues.
I've been using an old iMac (running 10.7.5) and Apple TV for years with no issues. Last week I bought a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and have had audio issues multiple times. The weird thing is that sometimes it works flawlessly, other times (like now) I spend half an hour just trying to get a song to play.
My issues are: When I got to "computers" in Apple TV to stream my music, my music is sometimes chopper or intermittent, and I seen to know when it's going to happen based on the status wheel just before it plays. When I choose a song, the status wheel will spin for an unusually long time, usually an indicator that the audio is either not going to work, or stutter.
When it does finally pull up a song, the playhead sits at the beginning of the song for a good 3-5 seconds before actually playing. Then, when it starts playing, it's all downhill. It will play a few seconds, drop out, play a few more seconds, drop out, and then ultimately the playhead will keep moving across the song as if it's playing, but there's no audio.
Again, this is a new phenomenon never experienced by me. I've tried everything I could think of, some of them all at once:
• restart Apple TV
• restart Macbook Pro
• quite iTunes/open
• turn off Home Sharing on iTunes then reconnect it
• unplugging and cycling both my modem and router
None of these have alleviated the problem.
The odd thing is, like this morning, the audio started up perfectly and never gave me any issues. It wasn't until later in the day that it started. Perhaps after the macbook pro had been put to sleep? Not sure.
Regardless, this is an annoying trait, one that's new to me and my system (as stated, worked flawlessly until my new purchase), and is 100% limited to either a) the macbook pro b) Yosemite or c) both of them.

Lost all sounds except ringtone after recent upgrade

No sound except ringtone after recent upgrade followed by the upgrade fix. Since the ringtone was only affected I didn't notice immediately! If I plug in my headphones everything works. Unable to use volume buttons on side unless headphones are plugged in, the volume symbol with white dots doesn't even appear anymore. The volume control in itunes music only works when plugged into headphones otherwise it can't be adjusted. Worked with apple support tried everything include a restore to new still no go! It appears that a few people are having the same problem and seems weird that it happened after last upgrade!

If you are unable to adjust the volume without headphones even after restoring, then the iPhone thinks it's plugged into a dock or cable. This is the behavor that will happen if you plug your iPhone in to the car or iHome dock to play you music and sounds, but a docked connection will never play ringtones through the dock connection and headphones override that dock connection which is why your headphones work.
How does the phone think its connected to a dock? Well, this can happen if the charging port gets wet at some point or if some trauma happens in there like pushing the cable in when it doesnt fit, etc.

Since it is affecting all your devices also, try going to the e-mail web site and seeing if you can log in there. Who is the e-mail provider?
Try deleting the pass word from Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.
If that doesn't work, try deleting and adding back the e-mail account.

Here is one specific example:

Then followed these steps:
1. Replicate Metadata from source system

Just to help the folks out here.
In my case,
Inspite of going through several valid NOTES & program, my issue didnt resolve (you reply was pretty accurate - but dint help me :-)).
I have resolved the issue by adjusting the PSA table for the same.
Procedure:
Take the psa name --> go to table rstsods --> find the ODSNAME_TECH name for the relevant psa --> se38 t.code --> enter ODSNAME_TECH and click on 'adjust & activate database table' (make sure you have selected 'save data' radio button.
Just in case anyone who come across this problem, can do the above steps.

I was going to suggest - Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings, but if you are restoring to factory settings, that should restore the settings back to factory defaults. But if you are restoring from a backup, after restoring to factory settings, try resetting all of the settings and see if that fixes it.
It might be something in your backup.

What I suggest you do here is to use Adobe's uninstaller tool to uninstall Flash first of all: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Then reboot, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and reinstall it.
I notice too that you have an outdated version of Shockwave For Director. You can update that via http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
