The icon for Safari has probably moved to make room for new apps. Scroll the Home screen to look for it.
You cannot reverse the upgrade.

With some (not all) sites that require passwords, how do I get Firefox to resume saving passwords when the site is not in the exception list?

For some banking sites that require passwords, I am 99.3% sure I at some time said "never remember passwords." Now I want to change my mind. When I go to Options/Options/Security/Remember.../Exceptions, the sites are not listed, but I still am not asked the question 'Want to remember....'

I did install the view passwords bookmarklet; it worked properly. I installed the saved-password-editor, and I think I entered all fields correctly, although (1) I was not sure of the meaning of the field 'submit prefix' and used the 'guess from current page' button, and (2) I winged it using the default on both the username field name and the password field name because the guess button simply said 'fill this form based on a likely login form on the current page.' [Does the button pick up that name?]
After fumbling a while, everything got to working! So, THANKS! Although I'm still not sure what the 'view passwords' bookmarklet does for me, since I do know the needed passwords.
I'm going to leave this open for one more day, since as a first-time user I don't know whether messages are added (such as explanations to my above minor issues) after I acknowledge the problem solved. I'll do that tomorrow.

I have rented and watched 4 movies which, though expired still appear in my video folder. I cannot watch them, but my ipad shows 4 videos in the "about" tab and shows several gigs of video used. How do I get rid of them and free up the memory?

Click on the More Info button and ignore the web page, go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the MobileMe account. Next to go the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe. That will stop those messages.

On your iPad your Music is kept in the iPod App and the movies are on the Movie App after you have synced the Music and Movies from iTunes on your computer to your iPad.

AIM 5.9 or earlier can not be installed on Vista.
AIM 6.5 and 6.8 use a new video codec with a description of "Real Time IM"

However, I did discover that whenever I open up the iPhoto Library that is already existing on my MacBook a certain set of pictures shows up. But then when I open up the iPhoto Library from the Hard drive another set of pictures shows up. BUT not ALL of my pictures are showing up on the iPhoto Library from the hard drive. At least the last two years of pictures are not showing up?! Actually, it appears that all the pictures are there from when I started using iPhoto about 5 years ago up until around the time that I got my iMac desktop computer and started using that (2 years ago). I have noticed that more recent videos I have made are showing up in a folder on the hard drive, but will not appear when I open up iMovie?! You could try downloading a program called Calibre. It is very good at converting files between formats. I use it all the time to convert PDF's from work to read on iTunes when I don't want to have to keep zooming in and out to read the actual text.
I know that iBooks will read PDF's but they can get pretty squashed down some times. Especially if the original font was small to begin with. So I run them through Calibre and then email them to my phone and open them in iBooks.

Then the (App) tabs from that window are lost unless you can restore an older copy of the sessionstore.js file (Time Machine?) that has that lost window.

Ringtones i purchased from itunes disappeared when my iphone 4s restarted and they only show up as 'on my device' in itunes library but with a grey dotted circle. How do I get them back? They worked until the phone restarted!

I purchased some alert tones on my iphone 4s via itunes yesterday. They all worked just fine until the phone ran out of battery and I plugged it in and restarted. They have vanished from the phone and when I connect to my PC they only show up as 'on my device' under tones and with a grey dotted circle by them. How do I get them back? This is crazy! I purchased one a second time, it worked, I switched my phone off and on again and it has gone again!!!

Having the same issue on multiple alert tones on my Iphone5c. After purchase they disappear from the phone and show up on my itune under Tones grayed out with a dotted circle next to them.
