Withhodling tax in 2 steps
hi,
I just come to know is it possible to create withholding tax entire configuration in 2 steps
if yes please send me the steps to mail id [email protected]
Regards,
Sankar
First create new doc type using UB for this kind of transfer and allow the Stock transfer item category only with std reqs and NB reqs in the Config SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Purchase order- Define document types.
Then go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Purchase order-set up stock transfer order-
Here you have to do the settings for your plant
1) define shipping data for plant (first create the customer for this plant)
2) assign delivery type NL
3) Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, Underdelivery Tole
In this step assign same plant as supplying plant and plant
Then whae you create STO header plant and item plant will be same but the storage location will be different

Hi,
can any one tell me how deducte TDS on cuustomer
ThanksDear Paul,
You have to create a relevant WT TYPE, and a WT CODE. Then You have to link the WT TYPE to the Company Code, switching on the flag "Subjected to wt". Then You have to link the WT type to a G/L Account and then insert the WT TYPE and WT CODE into Your Customer master data with the relevant dates of validity.
Please do all and then test it.

Function of Tax code in tax determination
1.What is the function of Tax code in tax determination, and where it is assigned ?
2.What is the use of VAT registration number in Control Tab page in Cusomer master ? Does it effect the tax determination in a transaction ?Hi Sunil,
1. Tax code determines the percentage of tax on purchases
Steps for Tax determination:
Define Condition Types
Define Procedures --- You need to define the tax calculation procedure for your country
Select the calculation procedure / control data------- give the Procedure for tax determination
You create the tax code at Tcode-- FTXP
There you provide the tax percentages for the tax code
Define the tax account the Account key (OB40), which will be an account determination
2. VAT registration No in customer master will be used for any kind of tax exemptions if applicable
There can be impact inthe tax determination as the customer is entitled for the exemption.
Award points if useful,,
Thanks and regards,

Hi,
Freight tax need to calculate for customer belonging to 1 state and not for another state. If basic price of product after discount is zero, freight tax is not calculating for entire order. If basic price after discount is some value, at that time freight tax is calculating properly for each tax. Can u help to solve the issue?Hi,
On which value you want to calculate freight tax
is it like this
Base price - discount = net price (do you want to calculate on net price)
then make settings in price procedure as like
10 1 PR00 (Base price)
20 1 K004 (Material discount) calculate on step 10
30 1 Net price
40 1 TFTX (Freight tax) calculate on step 30
Kindly refer standard pricing procedure RVAA01 and see how condition types are logically maintained

HAGI<b>Configuration for Witholding Tax</b>
SPRO>IMG>Financial Accounting>Accuntas Receivable and Accounts Payable>Business Transaction>Incoming invoices/credit meos>Carry out and check settings for withholding taxes.
1) <b>Maintain tax codes</b>: In OBC7 maintain the withholding tax codes and their attributes like percentages and basis like gross or net etc.
2) <b>Maintain the account determination</b> for each and every tax codes through OBYS.
Other optionals:
Withholding tax is only relevant for specific posting transactions in certain countries and even there, only for some groups of vendors. You therefore determine, depending on your company code, business partner, and the business transaction, the cases in which the fields for withholding tax become ready for input .
1) Maintain the country keys (The standard system delivers most of the countries forms to be submitted to the tax authorities)
2) Maintain Formulas OB98 (if needed, Like US and Japan need scaled basis calculation.)
3) The recipient categories
<b>Master Data andTransactions</b>
You need to specify in the vendor master record, a withholding tax code to enable the system to calculate the tax amount, which defaults when you enter a line item if the vendor is subject to withholding tax.
If a vendor is exempt from withholding tax, you must specify this in the master record the details of exemption certificate and the date up to which the exemption is valid. If an exemption exists, the system either posts no withholding tax or the reduced tax rate.

Hi Experts
I have developed new 3 condition type for taxing procedure
But in the current taxing procedure the steps are all accumulated only one step is available . So is it possible to maintain that 3 condition type in one step by using counter
When I use the counter the following warning messages displaying by the system
u201CYou should not use the counter only for Manual item conditions?
Can I proceed further or not?
Please guide
AnilHi
yes you can proceed further.
If all the three condition types are similar in usage then you can mainatin.
If not then you need to maintain them as different steps.
For Taxing Procedure it is not adviasble to use Counters.
You can check the same in all the Taxing procedures defined in SAP

PO,PR DOCUMENT에 DEFAULT TAX CODE SETTING 방법
제품 : MFG_PO
작성날짜 : 2003-04-23
PO,PR DOCUMENT에 DEFAULT TAX CODE SETTING 방법
===========================================
PURPOSE
PO,PR document의 Tax Code를 Defaul 값으로 setup 할 수 있다.
Explanation
Purchasing의 다섯곳에서 Default Tax Code 값을 지정해 놓을 수 있다.
STEP 1.
======
a) Ship-To Location
: Location Setup window에 입력되어진 Tax Code가 default 값이 된다.
b) Item
: Master Item이나 Organization Item window의 Purchasing region에 입력
되어진 Tax Code가 default 값이 된다.
c) Supplier Site
: Supplier Site window의 Invoice tax region에 입력되어진 Invoice Tax
Code가 default 값이 된다.
d) Supplier
: Supplier window의 Invoice tax region에 입력되어진 Invoice Tax Code가
default 값이 된다.
e) Financial Options
: Setup의 Financials Options window에 입력되어진 Tax Code가 Default
값이 된다.
STEP 2.
=======
======================
현재 어떤 값이 PR의 Tax Code region의 default value로 가정되었다 해도 User는 다른 값으로 변경할 수 있다.
이것은 Profile Option Tax: User allowed override set to = "YES" 로 setting 되어 있을때만 가능하다.

Use the menu path, Material Management > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Maintain default values for
tax codes > New entries > enter Company Code > give tax code.

Hi friends,
Service tax condition type jser is not availiable in taxinn and taxinj and how jser condition type will come in the sd pricing procedure.
Education cess condition type is availiable but we have to apply any note.
waiting for reply
Regards.
kishoreYou may have to do Service tax configuration.
Basic Configuration for service tax is as under:
OBJECTIVE
This document will detail the configuration required on the SD side to enable computation of Service tax and Education Cess in the output Service order.
PROCEDURE: Initial Steps
Create two new Tax conditions: JSE4, JES4. Steps for creation of Tax Condition is illustrated below
Create new condition types
SAP Standard IMG -> Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Check Calculation Procedure. (Transaction OBYZ)
Select Define Condition Types
Select Condition Type JIN1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JSE4 and the Name as Service Tax.
Select Condition Type JIN5 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JES4 and the Name as ECS on Service Tax.
Outcome: The two tax conditions, one for Service Tax and the second for Education Cess on Service Tax have now been created.
1. Create a new tax posting key VS9 and VS0.
The path for this is:
SPRO  Financial Accounting  Financial Accounting Global Settings  Tax on Sales/Purchases  Basic Settings  Check and Change Settings for Tax Processing
Select the Processing Key MW1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Key as VS9 and Name as India Service Tax.
Select the Processing Key MW1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Key as VS0 and Name as ECS on Service Tax.
Note: If there are multiple service tax registration numbers, you need to have separate account posting to different GL accounts based on service registration number. This can be done provided a separate tax code is maintained for each service registration number.
To achieve this you need to define a set of 2 separate G/L accounts for service tax and Education CESS on service tax respectively, for every service registration number.
In such a case, please activate multiple accounts posting per tax code as follows:
Defining the GL accounts for the Service tax and ECS on Service Tax:
SPRO  Financial Accounting  Financial Accounting Global Settings  Tax on Sales/Purchases  Posting -> Define Tax accounts
Go to Details of the Transaction VS9 (Service Tax GL account) and enter the Chart of accounts
Select the Tax Code Check Box if you want to have Tax Code Specific GL accounts or Blank when the common GL accounts
Click on Posting Keys
Enter the 40 as Debit and 50 as Credit.
Click on Accounts.
Enter the GL codes If you have tax code specific GL then enter the tax and GL account.
After completing select the VS0 and do the same steps for ECS on Service tax.
A separate account for every tax code can be maintained as follows:
Now maintain different account based on the tax code. Since the tax code will be specific for a plant you can achieve posting to specific account for a plant. This should be maintained after configuring the tax procedure.
Steps are: -
You have to define the required tax codes.
Create separate G/L accounts.
While creating the posting key, please follow the customizing settings given below:
SPROFinancial AccountingFinancial Accounting Global SettingTax on Sales/PurchaseBasic SettingCheck Calculation Procedure
Define Procedures:
Select TAXINJ and click on control data. The screen will look like as shown below.
Click on New Entries and add the following two entries in your system
Step 270 and 280 the Condition type JSE4 and JES4 respectively. The from step for JSE4 is 100 and 270 for the condition JES4. You have to assign the accounting key
VS9 for JSE4 and VS0 for JES4.
After adding the new condition types the procedure will look like as shown below
Changes to Tax Code:
SPROFinancial AccountingFinancial Accounting Global SettingTax on Sales/PurchaseCalculation  Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases.
Country: IN
Enter the Tax code and Tax jurisdiction Code (If it is applicable in your system).
Enter the 10% for the Condition type JSE4 and 2% for JES4. (Please note that in the screen below have condition type ZSER in place of JSE4 and ZSTE in place of JES4.)
Changes to Pricing Procedure:
INGSales and DistributionBasic FunctionsPricingPricing ControlDefine Condition Types.
Select Condition Type JIN1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JSER and the Name as Service Tax.
Select Condition Type JIN5 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JSTE and the Name as ECS on Service Tax.
INGSales and DistributionBasic FunctionsPricingPricing ControlDefine and Assign Pricing ProcedureMaintain Pricing Procedures (V/08)

Hi Team,
We are working on CANADA Tax Calculation in US Company code for Canadian customer; we are struggling to implement this process as we have Jurisdiction inconsistence between two countries,
I am going to explain the Business process and what we were implemented and what we are expecting , we need your assistance to implement this process as Tax is more sensitive as well we are trying to implement hybrid process , we would like ensure that no impact due this process implementation
Business Process:-
Company Code: - 1111 (US Company Code)
Sales Org u2013 2114 (Canada Sales Org)
US Plant: - 2110
Canada Plant: - 2114
Customer (Canada):- 10083773
Process: 1 Direct Sale from US Plant 2110 to Customer (Ship to Party) - 10083773 (Canada)
Process: 2 Sale from Canada Plant 2114 to Canadian Customer u2013 10083773.
Requirement: - for the above two scenariou2019s will applied local taxed in Canada (PST and HST)
(PST: Provincial Sales tax and HST : Harmonized Sales tax). System should pick the tax code C4 from TAXCAJ procedure.
Issue: - When we try to release SD Billing document to Accounting document, there we are getting jurisdiction error by conflict the US Jurisdiction code and Canada Jurisdiction code. The issue is that SAP is not picking the tax code C4 from TAXCAJ procedure and its picking from TAXUSX.
Implemented: -
1. We created a new sales org for Canada u2013 2114; This will be used for all domestic Canada sales.
2. we implemented NOTE: -
, here we changed the country to pick from Sales Org
3. Created Tax code C4 in US tax procedure as well as Canadian tax procedure.
Jurisdiction Code flow: - Billing document populates the tax jurisdiction code from the customer master (Canada) of the ship-to party to the billing document item. If you post the billing document to accounting, the system transfers this tax Jurisdiction code to the tax data in the BSET (Tax line in accounting document) table but this table will try to get populate tax jurisdiction as per the accounting document and accounting document link with US TAX Procedure
US tax Jurisdiction Code different than Canada Tax jurisdiction code, moreover here we are using AVP external Tax system for US, we need to check impact from AVP side
Jurisdiction Code in Canada Customer Master
Error:-
Tax statement item missing for tax code AA
Jurisdiction Code Structure for US and Canada
Table TTXD ( Structure of Jurisdiction code) , in SD Invoice Jurisdiction code will pick from customer master as per CANADA Structure, program will try fill the same data in Table BSET and BSET will try to validate company country Jurisdiction code structure
Jurisdiction Structure:-
TAXUSX Jurisdiction Length is 9 Digit
TAXCAJ Jurisdiction length is 4 Digit
Risk: - Our process will work by synchronizing the Tax jurisdiction code both countries , here we cannot change straight away .
We would like to request, how we can populate Canadian tax codes in 1111 accounting document.
ThanksHi suresh,
You may have error FF805.
Usually, the FF805 error is triggered due to configuration in the
Pricing Procedure. Review Note No.112609 carefully.
In the pricing procedure ZQFPCA, the tax condition CTXJ references the
subtotal 'Net Before Tax' (From-step = 545).
The non-tax conditions ZC00, ZP00, ZF10, ZAAD, ZP02, ZLFN, ZPFN, ZHFN,
ZESP and ZEXF gets the tax code from tax condition CTXJ in accordance
with note 112609: The conditions of a billing document are read from top
to bottom. As soon as an active tax (in this case CTXJ) is read, the
system transfers the tax code of this tax into all non-tax conditions
with step number lower than the "To-step" (= "From-step" = 545) of the
tax condition which are not statistical.
In the SD-FI interface, when the billing document is released to
accounting, for every price condition sent over, there MUST be a tax
item sent over.
Note 400766 explains the checks performed by the
system on the Tax codes:
1. system checks whether there is a revenue line for each tax line.
2. in the reverse case, for each revenue line containing a certain
tax indicator there must be a tax line with this indicator.
If the tax condition has condition value zero and condition base
value zero, then it is not transferred to FI.
If you have revenue lines containing a tax indicator XX, but no
tax line with tax indicator XX, then the error FF805 issues, and
it is justified. => Please check these informations. I have attached
notes for further information.
IN SUMMARY:
-> There must be at least a revenue line for each tax line.
-> For each revenue line containing a certain tax indicator there
must be a tax line with this indicator.
-> If a tax condition has base value = 0 OR is inactivated OR is
statistical => then it is not passed to FI.
If you want to post a tax exemption, then the tax rate (KONV-KBETR)
should be determined with a zero percentage. BUT the tax base has to be
determined with the invoice value !!!
That tax base is needed later for the tax reporting, as reporting needs
to know for what sales volume the tax exemption took place.
Kind Regards,
Fernando Evangelista -

sravniHi Sravani,
In order to be able to use extended withholding tax, you must make various settings in Customizing and the master data of the business partners concerned in each of the company codes.
Activities:
Activate extended withholding tax -To be able to use extended withholding tax, you must first activate it.Under Financial Accounting Global Settings-> Company Code->Activate Extended Withholding Tax.
Set up reporting:Make the settings for withholding tax reporting. You do this in two places:
Under Financial Accounting->Financial Accounting Global Settings->Withholding Tax->Extended Withholding Tax->Basic Settings in the Implementation Guide for Financial Accounting, you define for example, the countries in which withholding tax is reported, the official withholding tax keys, and reasons for exemption.
Under Financial Accounting->General Ledger Accounting->Business Transactions-> Closing->Reporting->Extended Withholding Tax: Reporting you make the settings for the forms for reporting the tax.
Also you need to do the following settings.
Define withholding tax types
Define withholding tax codes
Define minimum and maximum amounts
Define accounts for withholding tax
Define liability to tax and deduction authorization (master data)
Configure certificate numbering for withholding tax
If necessary, use the analysis report for extended withholding tax (RFWT1000). You can use the report to:
Check your Customizing settings for consistency
Get an overview of the withholding tax-relevant settings in Customizing and the master data of your business partner
Track the calculation of withholding tax amounts in detail
Hope this helps. please assign points.
