Within my sequence, audio will mostly refuse to play. How do I fix it???

Hey there,
I am using Final Cut Pro 7 and it's not a problem of rendering audio or the mixdown. This is all done, it's not a matter of hardware either (unless my internal sound card might be damaged, but that's rather unlikely as everything else works fine).
To specify the problem, which has never occured before, in the viewer, sequences will have audio and playback just fine, but as soon as they hit the canvas, the audio will refuse to play (not all the time, though), stay mute for a few seconds, then sound will come in, then weird things will start happening, left and right track will be out of sync or everything will be slowed down.
You will from this easily see that this makes working quite impossible.
I have changed the settings of the sequence several times now, I have repaired permissions and deleted the FCP preferences in the library, I even have time machine'd the entire library to a status quo where everything worked out fine. But it didn't do me any good. (Except messing with every other programme)
Even exporting the audio track to aiff and reimporting did do no good. And the problem seems to occur in all my project files (as I first figured, my project might have gotten out of hand).
Reading several threads about this problem, it seems to have occured to not just me, but nobody seems to have found a solution so far.
PS: I believe it all started, when I imported some VOB files (for some actor's showreel) into Final Cut. That's when it all went downhill.
Has anybody got any ideas how to by fix it? Bypass it? Anything? Will re-installing FCS work? Time Machining the Applications folder?

Hello everyone,
awkwardly enough, I managed to fix the problem (fix meaning bypass here) setting the audio sample rate to 44,1kHz, which worked out fine, now all the audio tracks are back to normal.
Which is great as long as I can work again, however, I'd still be curious as to know WHY this has happened. All files that my composer sent me were sampled at 48kHz, the entire project uses 48kHz and this worked fine for more than a year, I never had the slightest of problems. The composed files should not work properly at 44,1kHz but they do! And they don't work at their regular sample rate.
And why this all happened out of the blue is a complete mystery to me, as it worked out fine for such a long time.
If anybody still has any ideas why, I'd be very curious to know.
If not, consider this thread closed, it works and I intend to not further disturb that.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

Erica from Apple support: Your efforts to help on this subject are appreciated. However, during my wait for your supervisor, just when I stepped away from my desk for a moment you must have picked up your phone again. When I heard a noise (other than the hold music) I rushed back to my desk only to hear you hang up. When the phone rang and the ANI said "Apple support" I tried to pick up but you were gone by the time I got the button pressed.
Hopefully you'll see this note and leave a message on how to resolve this issue for me and the others from other similar questions posed on this forum.

Thank you Russ! Seems as though the timestamp on my audio files was completely incorrect so it placed the files far away from the corresponding video. I've modified the timestamp information and this has helped. The hour/minute information is incorrect but at least now I'm in the ballpark. Thank you!

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

Sorry, your only alternative is to take it in for repair. While on your way stop at a office supply store and look into a UPS. if you don't want to go to the Apple Store you can use an AASP, you can locate one in your area by clicking AASP Locator.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".<br />

There is no way to bypass the activation lock without the Apple ID and password used to set it up. It is useless to you. You will need to buy one from an authorized source.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.

Itunes will no longer play most songs...How do I fix?

For the past two months or so itunes has increasingly been able to play less of my songs in any of my playlists. Essentially, I will click on the song, and nothing will happen. There does not seem to be any reason for it either. Some are downloaded songs, and some are from my CD's. It simply does nothing when I click on them to play. I cannot play the songs with any other media player either. It tells me that the songs are unrecognizable. The songs no longer play on the ipod touch either. How can this be fixed?

Now this is really weird. I believe all of the .mp3 files play without issue. Most of the .m4p files do not play, but some will play on itunes, but some are playing on my ipod touch. None of the .m4a files play on anything. itunes will do nothing but not play the song. If I use a different media player on one of the songs not working, it will deliver an error message saying the file is unrecognizable. One thing is for sure, all of my songs worked fine a few months ago. Now, the probelm is progressively getting worse by the day.

I recently bought the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Video Editing Software and after using it one time most of my videos are not synced with their audio. The audio seems to be fine, but the video keeps on speeding up and slowing down. It is very stressfull. I would love to get back to my video editing as soon as I can. Please Help!

When I try to log in from desktop I get "Connection Refused" message. How do I fix this?

I tried to activate Mozilla Firefox today using the normal & routine method, clicking on the Firefox Icon.
Each time I tried I got the same message "Connection Refused".
I went to the Firefox site and read the message regarding disabling Java, so I opened ADD ONS and Plug Ins and disabled Java.
Still no change, so I shut down and restarted my computer.
I keep getting the same Connection Refused message.

Another user also reported a problem with the AT&T Yahoo home page in the past few minutes. When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

All of my downloaded apps will exit out of them, how do I fix this?

The apps I've downloaded will open and close out after a short period of time, I've turned off my location services as suggested but they still do it. I have tons of space left on my iPad so I have no idea how to get them to stop...help please!
