WLI attempts to execute non existent template definition ID
Reproduce Bug:
Delete existing template definition and import again from jar.
Input an XML event into EventQueue.
WLI provides the following stack:
<Aug 27, 2002 10:45:17 AM EDT> <Debug> <BPM> <000000> <EventProcessor 6442868
ExecuteThread: '9' for queue: 'default': This EventCandidate TemplateDefinition:
2003 is not the most active>
I looked inside the TemplateDefinition table and it holds only one templateDefinitionID
which is 5001. Clearly the WLI runtime attempts to execute a non existent templateDefinionID.
Suggestions?
To find the problem in the underlying WLI data, run the following SQL:
select ew.EventDescriptor, ek.expression, t.name,td.templateDefinitionId, to.Templateid,
to.orgid
From EventWatch ew, EventKey ek, Template t, TemplateDefinition td, TemplateOrg
to
where ew.eventdescriptor = ew.eventdescriptor
and t.templateid = ew.templateid
and td.templateid = t.templateid
and to.templateid = t.templateid

Hey,
I have been brought in to take a look at a few errors experienced on a SharePoint 2013 farm that will be used for BI functionality. One of the errors is the following:
This happens when I attempt to refresh a Excel document that is using an unattended account. The application that it attempts to access (named in the error) does not exist in the Secure Store Service. I have checked the Excel Service Global Settings
and the Target Application ID of the Unattended Service Account does not match what is given in the error (but matches a target application id that exists).
Is there anywhere that you can override the global settings of the excel service? Is there something else that might be wrong?
Any help is appreciated.
Regards
KnutHi Knut,
Thank you for your sharing! It will be beneficial to others in this forum who meet the same issue in the future.

Issue in updating the Template definition using XDOLOADER command
Hi All,
My requirement is to update the territory value as 00 from 'US' in the template screen.So I am using the XDOLOADER command to update the exising template defintion and the issue here is instead of replacing the old template territory value,it is creating new entry in the template screen as well as in xdo_lobs table.I am specifying the custom mode as FORCE to update the existing template definition,but unable to understand why it is not updating the old template and creating new entry
Below is the code snippet of the XDOLOADER command
java oracle.apps.xdo.oa.util.XDOLoader UPLOAD \
-DB_USERNAME apps \
-DB_PASSWORD $pwd \
-JDBC_CONNECTION hostname:portno:servicename \
-LOB_TYPE TEMPLATE \
-APPS_SHORT_NAME IBY \
-LOB_CODE XX_FORMAT \
-LANGUAGE en \
-TERRITORY 00 \
-XDO_FILE_TYPE RTF \
-FILE_CONTENT_TYPE application/rtf \
-FILE_NAME XXFILE.rtf \
-CUSTOM_MODE FORCE
Much appreciated if someone could provide an inputs on this issue.Pls let me know if you require any additional info.
Regards,
RajeshI guess it is just not possible. The territory code is part of a key element in one of the tables.
So, the easiest is probably to delete the old and create the new.

I wrote a program on a laptop in our lab that used both the NI Elvis power supplies and DMM. On the laptops in the lab, which connected to NI Elvis through a board in the NI-PXIe device the program worked perfectly both as a vi and as an executable. The program needed to be put on some computers in another lab for student use with a different version of labview, and everything worked except for the variable power supplies. I activated debugging and it reported Error 7 at New File, NI 488: Non-Existent Board. After attempting to trouble shoot this and not finding any helpful results I attempted to rewrite the program on the computers directly, since I could only put the program on the computers as an executable since it was written in 8.6 and the computers only have 8.0 and 8.2. To begin I was going to launch labview from NI Elvis to use one of the example codes as a base for my program. When attempting to do this I got Error 2 with the possible causes being Labview memory full and NI 488: Write detected no listeners. My question is are the two errors related, and how can I fix these errors? All the NI Elvis software is 2.0, the original program was written in Labview 8.6, the computers have Labview 8.0 and 8.2 on them. The NI Elvis devices are connected directly through the computers, rather than through another device, I'm not sure if this might be causing some obscure hardware issue.
Hello Chris,
It looks like this error is associated with not having administrator privileges. Take a look at this other forum post for more information:
http://forums.ni.com/t5/Academic-Hardware-Products-NI/Error-2-when-starting-LabVIEW-from-ELVIS-Instr...
If you can log in as an administrator you should be able to avoid getting error 2 when you launch LabVIEW from NI Elvis. Alternatively, you can upgrade to NI-ELVIS 3.0, because the issue is fixed in that version of NI-ELVIS. You can find this by going to ni.com/support and searching for "NI-ELVIS 3.0"

Invalid Template Definition DTD file
The integration Admin API which allows creation of workflow tempaltes and template
definitions programmatically takes an XML. The XML is supposed to conform to
the DTD file referenced here:
http://e-docs.bea.com/wli/docs70/classdocs/com/bea/wlpi/common/doc-files/TemplateDefinition.dtd
The problem I have is that this DTD is not well-formed. Try to validate it in
your favorite XML editor (e.g. XMLSpy or XMLWriter) to confirm this.
Is there a newer VALID version of this DTD that could be published? I'd like
to believe that Integration is using some DTD or better yet some XSD or schematron
file to validate the XMLs passed into the Admin APIs.
Thanks,
IraHi Ira,
I spoke with engineering and you are correct, the admin bean is not
performing validation checks and there are no current plans for
validation. Due to ambiguities of the DTD, a meaningful DTD cannot be
produced, and instead would have to use a schema definition. Is this an
urgent issue for you? I can raise your concerns to product management
and have them address this in a future release. Please let me know what
changes you would like addressed in this area of the product.
Cheers,
Chris
Ira Work wrote:
Thanks Chris but these links point to the same malformed definitions I had found.
There may not be a valid dtd available because I tested deploying an invalid xml
instance (missing some required elements) and no validation was done by the Admin
API that takes this XML to create a Template Definition. The error in the definition
is not apparent until one attempts to run the workflow instance when the exception
I expected is thrown. If validation of the XML was being done in the implementation
of the Admin method that takes this XML, the exception would have been thrown
at the time of that method call.
So it's no wonder that the published DTD is not well formed, since the implementation
is not even doing validation.

Please offer a location of a well-formed Template DTD file that couldbe used

Error while executing a web template in browser
Hi experts,
I am facing an issue when I am creating copy of an existing web template and executing it.
As per the query inserted in the web template, it should show the 'variable entry' screen, but its showing a page with lots of junk characters (looks like chinese to me).
When I execute the already existing template, its showing the correct screen.
Can anyone help me in fixing this issue?

Thanks,Add "Targets" attribute to the connection pool. You may
get an idea how it looks like by searching config.xml
for "targets". If target servers are not set, the pool won't be
deployed and can not be used to a create datasource.

I am wanting to use an Oracle 9i with WebLogic 7
I have the following in my config.xml:
<JDBCConnectionPool DriverName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"

<JDBCDataSource JNDIName="DB_DS" Name="DB_DS" PoolName="Thin.Pool"/>
The console seems happy, no error mesages but in the log I get:

Creating a Socket to non-existent host very slow
Why does it take a long time to try to create a Socket to a non-existent host on a Linux machine? On a Windows machine it takes approx. 20 sec., but when I try it on a Linux machine it takes approx. 180 sec.!
Here's the code I'm using (very simple):
import java.io.IOException;
import java.net.Socket;
import java.net.UnknownHostException;
public class SocketCreator {
public static void
main(String[] args) {
long _begin = System.currentTimeMillis();
try {
new Socket("10.10.10.10", 2000);
} catch (UnknownHostException exception) {
exception.printStackTrace();
} catch (IOException exception) {
exception.printStackTrace();
long _end = System.currentTimeMillis();
System.out.println("It took: " + (_end - _begin) + " ms.");
Some additional info:
- Java2 SDK 1.1.x, 1.3.x and 1.4.x
- Windows XP
- Red Hat 7.2, 9This is really a Linux system-wide problem. If you wanted to fix this in Java, you might even have to resort to JNI to sent yourself a signal and interrupt your system call (the system call is connect()).
Unfortunately, the page give by "man tcp" on Linux is often not kept up-to-date with the many options available in /proc/sys/net/ipv4 .
Also, access to the local LAN will often give a quick "No route to host" message.
To test the long-timeout, you have to access a remote IP that does not exist. For instance, on Linux, if you start two xterms, and on the firxt you enter:
telnet 66.120.89.14
and on that second your enter
netstat -an
You will see something like this line:
tcp 0 1 192.168.5.18:32836 66.120.89.14:23 SYN_SENT
So now you know that the socket is sitting in SYN_SENT.
Now, if you look on a nice, full man page of tcp, like
http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man7/tcp.7.html
You will see
tcp_syn_retries
The maximum number of times initial SYNs for an active TCP connection attempt will be retransmitted. This value should not be higher than 255. The default value is 5, which corresponds to approximately 180 seconds.
Back on the second xterm, try:
% cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_syn_retries
5
I bet you got five also. You could turn it down to two (decreases time to around 20 seconds).
You could try this as root:
# sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_syn_retries=2
or even add this command to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file -
Unregistering a non-existing db

AppleWorks 6 won't launch -invalid/non existent path
Appleworks 6 was working fine until a few days ago, now it will not launch--just jumps once or twice, and then nothing. Console log says, "launch failed because the application path is invalid or non-existent" Now I can't open my work-related documents at all. Please help!
Hi, Barry,
Thank you for your reply--I tried your suggestions--and it did not work.
I can open saved documents in TextEdit, but not at all in AppleWorks6. Cannot access anything at all, including templates in AppleWorks6. I followed the threads and tried other suggestions, and Nothing!.
I can see AppleWorks in finder, with all necessary folders in a row (I didn't move any), but when I try to open AppleWorks, it's as if it didn't exist at all. Plus, lots of documents won't even open in Adobe reader, either--and I used to be able to, before.
I am so behind my work--do I have to dig out my typewriter?
I appreciate your help.
Thank you.

Application hangs for non existing value
Hi,
At the DB level I tried to query non existing value from the table, query came out with "no rows selected" . But when I try to do the same from front end, application hangs! I just checked in the statspack report it shows like query is taking more cpu time to execute. what could be the reason for this?
when I join the v$session,v$sql to get the currently running query on database, it shows the query which try to execute from the application as active.
why it is hanging in application and why not in DB?
can any one brief me on this regard? why does application hangs for non exsting value?

AppleScript - Writing to non-existent directories, and non-existent files..
All,
AppleScript - Writing to non-existent directories, and non-existent files...
Creating directories several levels deep on the fly.
How do we write to a file that does not exist, buried deep down in a hierarchy of directories that don't exist either...
In trying to do this I explored two options. One used AppleScript, assisted by UNIX, which was simplicity itself, the other one used only AppleScript and was considerably more complex, and slower.

Hope these are useful,
Best Regards,
Bill Hernandez

Field 'Contract Period' does not exist in definition for business component
Hi everyone
I create a Field "Contract Period" in BC "Quote" with an extended table and put it in the applet view "Quote Full Form Applet" the field works fine in the view, we can update and insert information in it and shows perfect in the database also.
Our problem is when create a Integration Object for reports in BIP Reports the system said something like this when we try to generate the sample data:
ObjMgrLog Error 1 0000002d4cd016bc:0 2010-11-02 13:18:39 (adptutils.cpp (5715)) SBL-EAI-04376: Method 'FieldValue' of business component 'Quote' (integration component 'Quote Template') returned the following error:
"Field 'Contract Period' does not exist in definition for business component 'Quote'.
We compiled the BC and the IC, and did the Deployment of the IC in Tools but it didn't work, the thing here is if I remove this field the report works fine. Is there any other component or Object that we have to compile to get Siebel recognition?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
