WLI Console API

Does anybody know where can I find documentation for WLI console API .I want to
monitor the process instance from my custom program than WLI console process monitoring.
Thanks in advance,
Preeti

WLI 8.1 API documentation is @ http://e-docs.bea.com/wli/docs81/javadoc/index.html
For process instance monitoring you can refer following packages
- com.bea.wli.bpm.runtime
- com.bea.wli.management.runtime
Hope it helps.

  • Console API for IS 6.0?

    My group is looking at customizing the console for Identity Server 6.0. I have looked at the samples for customizing the console and they include java files that have been extended from the com.iplanet.am.console.user package. I know that these classes reside in the .../SUNWam/web-apps/applications/WEB-INF/lib/ directory in the am_console jar file. However, I cannot find the API for this package or the other com.iplanet.am.console.* packages (it is not included in the javadocs in the .../SUNWam/docs directory). I don't see how I can write Java files to customize the console without the API for the console classes. Does anyone know where I should look to get the console API for IS 6.0?

    The console API is not public. You are correct that in order to customize the console, you need access to the API. Contact DTS (Developer Technical Support) and they should be able to assist you.

    Hi all,
    I googled around for a solution of this problem, but did not find one. Can anyone please help me whith this problem:
    I deployed a process-application on a 9.2 server. When I want to define a RDBMS event generator rule for my process, I get a page with an empty datasource JNDI name list. In the logfile I see this exception when i request the channel rule definition page:

    Any help is appreciated!
    Best regards

    Hi everyone intersted in a solution:
    after consulting the bea support we finally found out the reason for this ManagementException:
    We configured our test and production server in a cluster environment, that means we specified <listen-address>our.cluster.name</listen-address> in the file <domain>/config/config.xml. The server does not work with this properly, this is a bug for which a patch will be developed!
    This workaround helps for servers in cluster environment:
    * stop server
    * edit config.xml and clear the listen-address field: <listen-address></listen-address>
    * start server
    * use physical address of server to log into wli-console and create all eventgenerators you need
    * stop server, change config.xml to original value and restart
    best regards and happy beta testing ...

  • Can I modify WLI system Bean's transaction attribute --turn on archiver resulting endless exception in log file

    hi,erveryone,
    one difficult question need help.
    Environment: WLS8.1sp2 + WLI8.1sp2 + ORACLE9i + solaris9
    when I started archiver manually,just for a while, wli system generated about 40,000 JMS messages in
    wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue,and consume the great mass of system resource of Database server,I had to stop these
    archive processes immediately to keep other applicaitons which using the same database running normal. I did so by
    following steps:
    (1) in WLI console, delete wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
    (2) in WLI console, reconstruct wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
    (3) restart wli server.
    after server was restarted, wli server output endless and repeatly exception to log file ,the typical exception was:

    The wli server generated log file very quickly ,:it can output 1M bytes log file per second,all logged information
    is similar to the <BEA-010049> excetpion metioned above. BEA support engineer suggested me to totally stop the
    archive ,I did so,but the server was still ouput the log file like crazy as before and the normal log information are
    completely override by <BEA-010049> excetpion.
    I checked the EntityEJBs in WLI console :Mywlidomain> Applications> WLI System EJBs> WLI Worklist Persistence$)A#,and
    found that in statistics table :
    ListenerBean : Pool miss ratio = 99.67%, transaction rollback ration = 99.90%,Destory Bean Ratio = 99.48%(see
    attachment)
    WorklistTimerMDB: transaction rollback ratio = 99.97%
    It seems ListenerBean worked incorrectly.I searched in support.bea.com and found one example which also about server
    output endless log file,the author solved this problem by changing Bean's transaction-attribute from 'Required'
    to 'RequiresNew' thought he didn't know why it works. I try this method by changing ListenerBean's
    transaction-attribute from 'Required' to 'RequiresNew'.
    $weblogic_home/integration/lib/wli-ejbs.ear/ejb-jar-generic.xml:
    <ejb-name>CommentBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    <method>
    <ejb-name>ListenerBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>RequiresNew</trans-attribute> -----------the default value is Required,I modified it to
    RequiresNew.
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    really it works, the log file output resume normal. But there are still some problems:
    (1) this exception is still exist:
    javax.ejb.NoSuchEntityException: [EJB:010140]Bean with primary key: '153.22.52.28-17343c7.10243c3c6ec.a51' not found.
    (2) is this method safe ?(Does "Modify ListenBean's transaction-attribute" impat other parts of wli system?)
    (3) after changed the transaction attribute, if turn on archive again, the server output endless exception:
    ####<Jun 1, 2005 5:14:58 PM CST> <Info> <EJB> <app01> <jcwliserver> <ExecuteThread: '63' for queue:

    Great Lou

    Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with a mirroring tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner. Preferably both.
    Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup), launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume with the default options.This operation will destroy all data on the volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For details of how this works, see here:
    Using Setup Assistant
    Transfer only "Users" and "Settings" – not "Applications" or "Other files." Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system. Test. If the problem is still there, you have a hardware fault. Take the machine to an Apple Store for diagnosis.
    If the problem is resolved, reinstall your third-party software cautiously. Self-contained applications that install into the Applications folder by drag-and-drop or download from the App Store are safe. Anything that comes packaged as an installer or that prompts for an administrator password is suspect, and you must test thoroughly after reinstalling each such item to make sure you haven't restored the problem.
    Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.

  • Requirements for the Interactive Graph -- Process Monitoring in WLI

    Hi,
    In my WLI console I m not able to bring the Graphical View for the Process Monitoring. My server is running on HP-UX -11, however I am able to view the graph from the workshop (windows desktop). Is there any server side requirement for the Graphical view?

    You have to run xvfb (X Window virtual frame buffer) on the HP-UX box. You have to download that from HP's website. Run it using root user only. Set the DISPLAY of your admin server to the xvfb and then you will be able to see the graphical view.

  • Simple question about WLI and admin server

    Hello,
    I have a domain with 3 servers in 2 machines. 2 servers forms the cluster and the other one is the admin server.
    When a process finish, the WLI core execute a setStatus on JMX component of type ProcessConfiguration. This type of component is only deployed (in my installation) in the admin server. So the Integrarion cluster service depends on admin server...if I stop the admin servers all the process invocations fails...
    I have tried to disable the process tracking data using wli console without results...
    How I can disable this behavior?
    Is there any way to deploy this type of component (ProcessConfiguration JMX) in the cluster?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    You can start TOMCAT jsp engine on PC B, it will start on port 8080 on B. And now redirect the requests from Apache in PC A using the mod_rewrite. Look at the following link on how to redirect the requests, give the redirect url as PCB:8080

  • Any other alternative for console??

    Just wanted to ask if there is any other alternative instead of using console in this program.....
    Console c = System.console();
            if (c == null) {
                System.err.println("No console.");
                System.exit(1);
            String enter = c.readLine("Enter your username: ");
            char [] oldPassword = c.readPassword("Enter your old password: ");
    ......................can i use any other function that is available and has almost the same as console...?

    Why? What is wrong with upgrading to 1.6 (which the code is written for and which you were told here: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5226598)? But, the "Console" stuff added to Java 1.6 come form an earlier third party library (if I remember right). I don't remember which one, but you should be able to Google Java Console API and find it rather it easily.

  • Regarding Variable Tracking in Weblogic Integration Console

    Hi,
    I am new to WLI. I am testing the process using JProcessUnit.
    To test my business process, in my test case I am retrieving the process variables. For that I have to make the Variable tracking on through WLi console-system configuration. However this option is not visible there. I set the Default Tracking Level to Full. I am able to see Default Tracking Level & Default Reporting Data Policy. And there should be the third option as Variable Tracking according to docs but its not there.
    When I am going through the docs of WLI there it is visible.
    Could anybody help me out in finding the Variable Tracking on wli console? <b>Its argent</b>.
    It will be the great help.
    Thanks in advance.

  • App View Management Console

    I've just deployed an adapter - using the WLI console. I can see all the
              bits and pieces in the console (application, the Web wa file, etc). The

              the system classpath. However, when I try to add an App View via th App

              Any help appreciated.

  • How to handle a multi-department scenario?

    Hello,
         I've used WLI 8.1sp2 in the scenario of one administrator handling all
    processes of a company. However, I have a need to use a single
    installation to support multiple departments. Each department has its
    own set of users/roles, and has its own managers.
    I'd love to be able to let each department manager use the WLI console
    to configure their department's specific needs. However, there's no way
    to restrict them from viewing other processes and users in WLI.
    I'm thinking we need to provide a custom application to support this,
    where we can filter the processes and users by the department name (such
    as prepending the department name to the process name or user names).
    Then we'd have a custom application that uses the WLI APIs to filter out
    the information for that particular department.
    Can anyone comment on this scenario and how it could be achieved with
    WLI? Or, does anyone know a product that can handle such a scenario
    natively (I haven't seen one).
    Thanks

    Thank you for your answer.
    I didn't realise I could use inputHidden for anything more complex than a single string...
    I have added a h:inputHidden for the elements array but it still doesn't work.
    How should it be used?
         <h:form>
              <h:inputHidden value="#{myExample.elements}"/>
              <h:commandButton action="#{myExample.doSearch}" value="Search Database" />
    ...While debugging I noticed that at the last button-press the getElements method is called twice before setElements, returning null.

    None of the transactions are recorded on the WLICONSOLE when the Remote EJB call is envoked. When i comment out the code for the Remote API Call there is no error being thrown, and the WLICONSOLE records the transactions as completed. I tried to debug the error, but the process seems to complete the execution, with the result as expected, but the error is still present despite of the process complete execution, with no other errors.
    One more thing: Despite of the message "AdminServer+yyy.yyy.yy.yyt:9002+emall+admin+admin+9002+' not available" if i copy the IPaddress on the browser the server is present and its the Admin server console of the cluster.
    Edmond.

    We have 2 domains that need to commnicate. Web domain has the webapp deployed and invokes the Integration app in the integration domain.
    Web Domain DS:
    URL : jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxx.xxx.xx.xx:1521:dbname
    Driver Class Name: oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource
    DS name : lthDatasource
    Integration Domain DS:
    URL : jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxx.xxx.xx.xx:1521:dbname
    Driver Class Name: oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource
    DS Name: LTHDatasource
    The reason we need the DS from both domains is because we right data to the DB from both apps that are deployed in both domains.
    Below is the error that continues to be thrown despite of the Server gets restarted or not, and terminating all of the Transactions from the WLI Console. A bit confusing, but due to the fact that is throwing the below error, it seems as it is an Local issue, and i don't know where the problem is.

  • URGENT!.... Testing a proxy service.

    Hi!..
    just trying out ALSB 2.5 and had some issues on which i need help.
    I had a proxy service, which is based on a remote web service ( implemented in WLI 8.1). This should execute a "processRequest" operation ( which needs no parameters) and then, based on the response message, route to a business service that is also a remote web service implemented in WLI 8.1
    The issue is, when i test the process request operation from WLI console it workks fine, but from ALSB 2.5 test console, it throws

    Did you test the business service first in the ALSB test console? My guess is that you have set up the business service wrong. Verify this before worrying about the proxy service.

  • Email Event Generator - Error

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem in reading the email and its attachments. Basically I get excel attachments from a third party and some message in the body of the mail. I need to read the email body in the jpd ( process ) and archive the attachments of the mail in a location . To achieve this I use the email event generator to archive the attachments and to call a process to read the body of the mail.
    Steps I followed -
    1. Created a mail account with my name on the mail server.
    2. Created a new email event genertor with all the required parameters in WLI console. configurations being
    Server Protocol POP3
    Channel Name /EmailEventProcess/SampleStringChannel
    Hostname ABC.ENERGY.LOCAL
    Port Number 25
    Username TestSS

    3. created a channel in the project in weblogic workshop -
