WLI Oracle 9i and ORA-00600
Found that in addition to setting the path to the 9i driver as the first element in
the Runsamples.cmd you must also do it in the other scripts i.e. Bulkloader.cmd.
startWeblogic.cmd
Colleague, I had problem the same that its, also with the postagem of a message here in this forum. I have the successfully installed Oracle 9i EE, after two weeks of very work, in IBM to xServer 220, with SuSE 7.2 This error occurred due to the fact of incorrect parameters of the init.ora, as well as, through some definite parameters incorrectly, in that if it says respect the 0 variable of environment of the ORACLE. One remembers to modify parameter REMOTE_LOGIN... of EXCLUSIVE for NONE and of preference it comments this in its archive INIT.ORA. Of one looked at in check list of installation of the Oracle, as well as in the specific manual of pattern for its distribution for the correct definition of the parameters of its archive of pattern.

EXP-00008: ORACLE error 4045 encountered
ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of CHEALTH1.oracle/gss/util/NLSLocale005
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [26599], [1], [225], [], [], [], [], []
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
we have recently run initxml.sql for XML after upgrading from 9.2.0.1.0 to 9.2.0.4.0
any suggestions
kedarYes, you are in the wrong forum, but it sounds like you have your environment variable (or registry entry) for ORA_NLS33 pointing at the wrong directory.

Invalid objects and ORA-00600 after deleting XML schema
I am running Oracle 10.2.0.3 on Solaris 10. I am new to XML DB but my developers requested it for a new application. Recently we have noticed the following issue:
My developers have attempted to re-register several schemas using:
DBMS_XMLSchema.deleteSchema(SchemaURL => l_strSchemaURL,
Delete_Option => DBMS_XMLSchema.Delete_Cascade_Force);
And then re-register.
DBMS_XMLSchema.RegisterURI( SchemaURL => l_strSchemaURL,
SchemaDocURI => l_strImportURL,
Local => True,
GenTypes => True,
GenBean => False,
GenTables => True,
Force => False,
EnableHierarchy => DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.ENABLE_HIERARCHY_RESMETADATA);
Afterwards I have noticed several invalid objects:

I opened a TAR with oracle but they have not made much headway. Are we attempting to de-register the schemas improperly? Has anyone seen this issue before?
Thanks,
BrianSR 6204906.993. Up to this point oracle was able to help me identify that the invalid objects were related to the ORA-00600 but it was just recently that it appeared the Issue was possibly related to the delete schema procedure. The informed me that they were not aware of any known issues with this procedure.
Thanks -

It returned the correct result when I did:
SQL> select extract(value(x), '/questestinterop/assessment/section/item/presentation/flow')
from XML_TEST x;
But I got the following error when I tried:
SQL> select extract(value(x), '/questestinterop/assessment/section/item/presentation/flow/material')
from XML_TEST x;

Thank you for help.Thanks for the information.
I checked oracle9i download page, it seems that there is no release 9.2.0.2.0 available for Windows NT/2000/XP. (I am on WinXP). Is there anywhere else I can check to upgrade database?
By the way, here is another problem I got with the same schema and same xml file.
It return the correct result when I did
SQL> select extractValue(value(t), '/qticomment')
2 from XML_TEST x,
3 TABLE (xmlsequence (extract(value(x), '/questestinterop/assessment/qticomment'))
4 )t;
EXTRACTVALUE(VALUE(T),'/QTICOMMENT')
A Complex Assessment example.
I got empty return result, when I tried
SQL> set feedback on
SQL> select extractValue(value(t), '/qticomment')
2 from XML_TEST x,
3 TABLE (xmlsequence (extract(value(x), '/questestinterop/assessment/section/item/qticomment'))
4 )t;
EXTRACTVALUE(VALUE(T),'/QTICOMMENT')

Solaris 10, Oracle 10g and ORA-27102 out of memory
After much STFW'ing, RTFM'ing and experimenting I finally got Oracle 10g to start a database on a SunBlade 100 with 512MB of memory and Solaris 10. As most of the replies on the web about error 27102 "out of memory" address solutions in Solaris 8 and 9, I thought I should post a clear description of the solution here.
Unlike earlier releases of Solaris, most of the system parameters needed to run Oracle are already set properly, so the only one you need is the maximum shared memory parameter. In earlier versions this was called SHMMAX and was set by editing the /etc/system file and rebooting. With Solaris 10 you set this by modifying a "Resource Control Value". You can do this temporarily by using prctl, but that is lost at reboot so you will need to add the command to the oracle user's .profile. The other option is to create a default project for the oracle user:
projadd -U oracle -K "project.max-shm-memory=(priv,2048MB,deny)" user.oraclewhat this does:
- makes a project named "user.oracle" with the user oracle as it's only member.
- because the name was of the form "user.username" it becomes the oracle user's default project.
- the value of the maximum shared memory is set to 2gb, you might want to use a larger value here if you have more memory and swap.
- no reboot is needed, the user will get the new value at their next login.thanks buddy. I was in this same tricky situation. and ur post solved my prblem.
Is this a bug with solaris 10.
Later i discovered.. on Oracle documentation that.. there r sum parameters that needed to be taken care while pre-installation of Oracle binaries.
Here is the excerpts.
The Oracle installer recognizes kernel parameters set using this method, but it is now deprecated in favour of resource control projects, explained below.
As the root user, issue the following command.
projadd oracle
Append the following line to the "/etc/user_attr" file.
oracle::::project=oracle
If you've performed a default installation, it is likely that the only kernel parameter you need to alter is "max-shm-memory". To check the current value issue the following command.
# prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -i project oracle
project: 100: oracle
NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
project.max-shm-memory
privileged 254MB - deny
system 16.0EB max deny
To reset this value, make sure at least one session is logged in as the oracle user, then from the root user issue the following commands.
# prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -v 4gb -r -i project oracle
# projmod -s -K "project.max-shm-memory=(priv,4gb,deny)" oracle
The first dynamically resets the value, while the second makes changes to the "/etc/project" file so the value is persistent between reboots.
# cat /etc/project
system:0::::
user.root:1::::
noproject:2::::
default:3::::
group.staff:10::::
oracle:100::::project.max-shm-memory=(priv,4294967296,deny)
The Oracle installer seems incapable of recognising kernel parameter set using resource control projects, but if you ignore the warnings the installation completes successfully.Even this method works.

Hi all,
I'm getting Oracle internal error:
"ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kokvxsql1], [], [], [], [], [], [],[]"
when I'm trying to drop a user from my DB. The tablespace related to the user is getting dropped easily whereas the user itself is not getting dropped. I'm getting the following errors alternatingly when trying to drop the user:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kokvxsql1], [], [], [], [], [], [],[]
ORA: internal error code arguments [4814][5][0][0][][][][]
ORA: 04043 Object :<object_name(OBJECT_TYPE='TYPE')> does not exist.
I'm trying to refresh the schema and so have to drop the schema and the tablespace. The tablespace has no problems in getting dropped but the user has. :-(..
please help ASAP.
Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions/solutions.

DUAL causes internal error ORA-00600
Hi All,
I am using oracle 10g database agains Forms6i, but in forms pl/sql when ever and where ever I use the DUAL in select statement
i.e. SELECT sysdate INTO <variable> FROM DUAL;
it always causes oracle internal error ORA-00600 ?
However it the dual statement works fine in SQL Plus console.
Any knows anything about this problem.
Any help will be highly appriciated. Thanking you and Best Regards.Please go to the first reply above:
Only the newest patch 17 runs against 10g databases without problems.
Either upgrade to Forms 6.0.8 and apply patch 17, or else connect to an Oracle 8 or 9i database. -
Hello
I need your help ^^*
Windows 2000 Server
Resin 2.0.1
jdk 1.3.1
connect to Oracle 9.2.x using jdbc driver : classes12.jar <-- it is from oracle9i
When I excute a query(rs = pstmt.executeQuery()) I got a error message from
oracle9i
--> java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ttcgcshnd-
1], [0], [], [], [], [], [], []
This problem is not happed at Oracle8i(8.1.6) <-- I think a code is not problem.
When I tested the code(same code) at another server ( Windows 2000 Server,Resin
2.0.5 ,jdk 1.4.0,j2ee 1.3,connect to Oracle 9.2.x,jdbc driver : classes12.jar ),
the error message is not happened.
I'd like to know that it is jdk or resin version's problem or not And how can I
solve the problem.
Have a nice day ^^*Oracle documentation read:
ORA-00600 internal error code, arguments: [string], [string], [string], [string], [string], [string], [string], [string]
Cause: This is the generic internal error number for Oracle program exceptions. It indicates that a process has encountered a low-level, unexpected condition. Causes of this message include:
timeouts
file corruption
failed data checks in memory
hardware, memory, or I/O errors
incorrectly restored files
The first argument is the internal message number. Other arguments are various numbers, names, and character strings. The numbers may change meanings between different versions of Oracle.
Action: Report this error to Oracle Customer Support after gathering the following information:
events that led up to the error
the operations that were attempted that led to the error
the conditions of the operating system and databases at the time of the error
any unusual circumstances that occurred before receiving the ORA-00600 message
contents of any trace files generated by the error
the relevant portions of the Alter files
Note: The cause of this message may manifest itself as different errors at different times. Be aware of the history of errors that occurred before this internal error. Paul -
Oracle error ORA-00600 when using Oracle 10g and Sun One Web Server 6.1
I have a java application that was running under Solaris 8 and Oracle 9i. I am trying to get it up and running on a new server that is configured with Solaris 9 and Oracle 10g. Whenever the application tries to connect to the database it receives the following error: ORA-00600 [ttcgcshnd-1][0]. My research indicates that this is an internal Oracle error that represents a low level unexpected condition. I have looked through my configuration for the Web Server and I have not been able to determine the cause of this problem. My DBA tells me that we have the latest patch installed for Oracle! Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If the problem is also present in a SWING app, i.e. outside the web server, then it is porbably something external to the webserver.
I think you should ensure that the driver and database are compatible with each other. It is very likely that you need a new jdbc driver for the new database.

please give the solution as it is live environmentHi,
how does a update work? I see now a merge with only an update, so you can rewrite it to an update statement. And you don't need the distinct, rowid makes it already unique.

Compiling error ORA-00600 with Forms 6 and Database 10g
Hi,
I am using "Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0" and "Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.26.0 " with patch 17, when i compile a form that works with some tables in another database under dblink the error ORA-00600:internal error code, arguments:[16203],[],[],[],[],[],[],[] is displayed.
If i word with reports or sqlplus no error is displayed.
Before we installed 10g everything worked ok
What is wrong with forms or do i need to configure something else?

Is there a tool to troubleshoot ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors?
February 27th, 2006 By Fahd Mirza
ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors are the most esoteric errors in Oracle.
There is a tool called ORA-600/ORA-7445 Troubleshooter available at Metalink. It asks for the first argument of ORA-600 error with an optional database version number.
For example, to see the description of the error:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [723], [25908], [25908], [memory leak]
You enter 723 in the ORA-600 First Argument field. The first argument is a pointer to where in the code the error was caught and thus is the key information in identifying the problem.
You can also embed (copy/paste) the Call Stack Trace there, and, when you click on the Search Call Stack button an advanced MetaLink search is performed to find documents containing relevant sections from the call stack.
Call Stack extracts from the following files are supported:
* Generic foreground and background server trace files located in background_dump_dest and user_dump_dest
* OpenVMS NETV2 and BEQ log files located in ORA_ROOT:[NETWORK.LOG]
* WINDOWS CORE.LOG files
* GDB (debugger) backtrace call stacks (best endeavors)
Of course you will need a login to Oracle's Metalink site.
Hope that helps,
c
