How to create an empty WLS domain in v7.0.2?
Hello All,
WLS 7.0.2 does not provide option to create an empty WLS domain with no custom
applications. This feature was supported in WLS 7.0.1.
Any clues/suggestions.
rgds
MSI'm not sure what you are doing.
You should be doing something like this:
D:\70domains\test>set CLASSPATH=D:\wls702\weblogic700\server\lib\weblogic.
jar
D:\70domains\test>java weblogic.Server
<Mar 17, 2003 3:08:04 PM PST> <Info> <Security> <090065> <Getting boot
identity
from user.>
Enter username to boot WebLogic server:
You should see that.
No need to set WLS_HOME. No need to copy the weblogic.jar. Just point the
CLASSPATH to the weblogic.jar of where you installed WLS.

Hi All,
I am installing SOA 11g 11.1.1.5 on my windows 7 machine. I have installed my XE database and the dbtimezone is set to = +02:00( which i have set and bounced the db).
I have installed the RCU, Weblogic server and SOA. Now when I am trying to create a WLS domain, after I configure JDBC schemas, when i try to test it i get the following:

KHi,
This worked for me,
1. Navigate to the directory where you ran the config.bat script.
2. Use use a text editor open the config.bat file.
3. Locate this line in the file : SET CONFIG_JVM_ARGS=%CONFIG_JVM_ARGS% -DCOMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME=%COMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME%
4. Append this string to the end -Duser.timezone="+02:00" and run the config script again.
5. also check that the oracle db timezone is set correctly.
SQL> select sessiontimezone from dual;
SESSIONTIMEZONE
+02:00
Hope that helps -- it worked for me.

WLS domain creation errors using new release (v5)
I'm running into errors in Step 5 of the beta install. I've completely uninstalled the previous version of everything (including RCU drop/create) and done a clean install using the files on the beta site after the announcement of the new release was made this morning.
It seems that the version string entries in "schema_version_registry" created by RCU differ. The "User Messaging", "OWSM MDS" and "SOA MDS" schemas all get created with version string "11.1.1.2.0" but "BAM" and "SOA Infrastructure" schemas are created with version "11.1.1.3.0". The WLS domain creation utility runs queries for ALL schemas having version "11.1.1.2.0", so the BAM and SOA Infrastructure schemas fail the test.
Should I manually edit the version strings in schema_version_registry so they all match 11.1.1.2.0 or will this cause problems elsewhere?
Here are the failing queries that the "Test Component Schema" screen is running for the WLS Domain creation step:
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='BAM' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='SOAINFRA' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
These succeed:
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='ORASDPM' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='MDS' and version='11.1.1.2.0'OK, I cleaned out all the old files downloaded fresh and did a complete re-install - now I'm getting an error about a missing file.
1. Installed WLS
http://download.oracle.com/otn/beta/bpmbeta1/wls1033_win32.exe
2. Installed SOA
http://download.oracle.com/otn/beta/bpmbeta1/soa.zip
3. Installed BPM/SOA patchset
http://download.oracle.com/otn/beta/bpmbeta1/soa_patchset.zip
The failure occurs on step 3 - while installing the SOA patchset it gives an error at 45% completion: "File not found - C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_bpmbeta\oracle_common\bin\commonenv.bat.template".
I checked and that file does not exist on the filesystem. There's a commenv.template file (a *nix shell script), but no commonenv.bat.template. There are other .bat.template files in that directory, but not commonenv -

For some reason my QuickTime player has stopped playing all my .avi movies, I can't seem to upgrade and it doesn't offer any solutions except that it may need additional software but not what or where to obtain it from? Help most of my movie are in .avi!!
Google 'Perian' and 'Flip4Mac' — these are the extensions that will make QT play other file formats.
However, a simpler solution is just to abandon QT in favour of the free, open-source player VLC, which plays just about everything natively without further downloads.
Download the free VLC Player from here:
http://www.videolan.org
Plays just about everything, including avi & mpg, without add ons. -
I recently upgraded to a new iphone. Everything transferred except my photos. Can I retrieve my photos from iCloud and transfer them to my new phone? My old phone has already been transferred to a new user.
Did you restore your iCloud backup? That should recover camera roll photos.

WLS server upgrading problems from 8.1 to 9.2
We had our application running on WLS 8.1.
Trying to upgrade to 9.2 using teh upgrade.sh script ( which uses 'java weblogic.Upgrade' inside ).
Even after it has reported that it has successfully upgraded the domain, when I login using the admin console, I see that the managed servrs are missing. So are all the resources ( JMS, connectionpool etc ) and all our EJBs.
Essentially we end up with a new admin server with nothing in it.
Has somebody else experienced this problem ?
If yes, are there any work arounds.
--sonyI'll make this simple for you, from one point of view. You've ported your application from one major release to another major release of the application server. Are you actually considering NOT testing some aspect of your application after that major a change? You should retest every aspect of your application.

Followed the below documentation. But not getting the required results.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e14138/fmw_templates.htm#CJAIDFCA
Domain that created after using the wlst by using the given templates IS configured with "osb_server1" managed server. The managed servers that we defined those are in cluster does not have any OSB product deployment.
After doing the research got that that there was bug and has been fixed in 11.1.1.6. But I am not able to figure out the solution.
