JMS on Remote WLS Domain

Hi,
I have been using Foreign JMS/Message Bridge to access the JMS Queues from Remote WLS domain.
Is there any way to access JMS queue from remote domain (Same Weblogic version 10.3) without using Foreign JMS/Message Bridge.
Thanks in Advance !!

I have the same error message, whether I try to connect to a WLS on a Linux box or a WLS deployed on a Windows machine of a colleague.
I cannot see where I need to define the "Domain" information in the configuration.
    Any help?

    Hello,
My laptop with Eclipse : Windows Firewall is disabled.
The Weblogic server is deployed on a 'brand new' Linux virtual machine. SELinux and Firewall are disabled on that Linux
When I perform a telnet <host> 7001 command, and type some 'garbage' input, the Weblogic server crashes
    java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: overflow detected

    at weblogic.socket.MuxableSocketDiscriminator.dispatch(MuxableSocketDiscriminator.java:177)
So there actually is communication towards that default 7001 port.
What appears weird to me is that a command like
    netstat -a | grep 7001
does not show up any process. I would expect a 'listening'
The console for the weblogic server contains an entry
    <Oct 25, 2010 4:50:26 PM CEST> <Notice> <Server> <BEA-002613> <Channel "Default[3]" is now listening on 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:7001 for protocols iiop, t3, ldap, snmp, http.>
    So basic tcp-ip connection works...
    Any idea?

My understanding is that the client only configuration should connect to a remote tuxedo domain as an anonymous client instead of a peer tuxedo domain, but the remote tuxedo gateway domain listener is acting like the client has to be configured in its dmconfig file before it will allow the connection request. Is there a different kind of listener the client only configuration should connect to instead of the tuxedo gateway domain listener? How can a remote tuxedo domain accept a connection from an anonymous client if the client must first be specified in the remote domain's dmconfig file? Is this a tuxedo 11g only feature? I'm trying to connect to a tuxedo 10.3 server.

Looks like this is an RTFM question. From:
    Is the following:
    Dynamic RemoteAccessPoint (RAP) Insertion
In order to make default LocalAccessPoint to work, Oracle Tuxedo GWTDOMAIN gateway configuration is required in order to make this simplified /Domain configuration to work.
GWTDOMAIN gateway must be modified to allow Dynamic RemoteAccessPoint (RAP) Registration. If DYNAMIC_RAP is set to YES, it will also update the in-memory database of the status of the connection from those dynamically registered RAP. If the connection from those dynamically registered RAP lost then the information about that RAP will be removed from the SHM database.
GWADM must be modified to process the DM MIB correctly to reflect the connection status of those dynamically registered RAP. When the connection from those dynamically registered RAP lost their entries in the SHM database will also be removed so that the DM MIB query can return the connection status correctly.
The dynamically registered RAP will be added to /DOMAIN configuration permanently. Their existence will only be known when the Session is established. Their existence will be lost when the connection is lost.
The DM_CONNECTION Oracle Tuxedo /Domain DMIB call returns all the connected dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint. All other dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint that are not connected will not be shown.
The OPENCONNECTION DMIB request will not be supported to connect to those dynamically registered RAP.
The CLOSECONNECTION Oracle Tuxedo /DMIB request closes the connection and remove the session from those dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint, and returns its connection status as 'UNKNOWN.
The PERSISTENT_DISCONNECT type of CONNECTION_POLICY will be honored that means when PERSISTENT_DISCONNECT is in effect all connections request from any RAP, whether they are dynamically or non-dynamically registered, will be rejected.
I must have overlooked this section when reading it. Looks like I've got more configuration to do.
    Thanks,
    Steve

I'm not sure what you are doing.
You should be doing something like this:
    D:\70domains\test>set CLASSPATH=D:\wls702\weblogic700\server\lib\weblogic.
    jar
    D:\70domains\test>java weblogic.Server

    You should see that.
No need to set WLS_HOME. No need to copy the weblogic.jar. Just point the
CLASSPATH to the weblogic.jar of where you installed WLS.

    Hi,
    This worked for me,
    1. Navigate to the directory where you ran the config.bat script.
    2. Use use a text editor open the config.bat file.
    3. Locate this line in the file : SET CONFIG_JVM_ARGS=%CONFIG_JVM_ARGS% -DCOMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME=%COMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME%
    4. Append this string to the end -Duser.timezone="+02:00" and run the config script again.
    5. also check that the oracle db timezone is set correctly.
    SQL> select sessiontimezone from dual;
    SESSIONTIMEZONE
    +02:00
Hope that helps -- it worked for me.

  • WLS domain creation errors using new release (v5)

I'm running into errors in Step 5 of the beta install. I've completely uninstalled the previous version of everything (including RCU drop/create) and done a clean install using the files on the beta site after the announcement of the new release was made this morning.
It seems that the version string entries in "schema_version_registry" created by RCU differ. The "User Messaging", "OWSM MDS" and "SOA MDS" schemas all get created with version string "11.1.1.2.0" but "BAM" and "SOA Infrastructure" schemas are created with version "11.1.1.3.0". The WLS domain creation utility runs queries for ALL schemas having version "11.1.1.2.0", so the BAM and SOA Infrastructure schemas fail the test.
Should I manually edit the version strings in schema_version_registry so they all match 11.1.1.2.0 or will this cause problems elsewhere?
Here are the failing queries that the "Test Component Schema" screen is running for the WLS Domain creation step:
    SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='BAM' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
    SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='SOAINFRA' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
    These succeed:
    SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='ORASDPM' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
    SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='MDS' and version='11.1.1.2.0'

OK, I cleaned out all the old files downloaded fresh and did a complete re-install - now I'm getting an error about a missing file.
    1. Installed WLS
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/beta/bpmbeta1/wls1033_win32.exe
    2. Installed SOA

    3. Installed BPM/SOA patchset
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/beta/bpmbeta1/soa_patchset.zip
The failure occurs on step 3 - while installing the SOA patchset it gives an error at 45% completion: "File not found - C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_bpmbeta\oracle_common\bin\commonenv.bat.template".
I checked and that file does not exist on the filesystem. • Remote WLS connection from OEPE

    Hi
I tired connecting to remote WLS instance which has OSB instance as well. When i chose the remote connection and provide the IP,Port and user credientials the status of the server in OEPE is shown as Stopped and Synchronised. Can any one tell me what could be the problem. I am able to access the sbconsole,WLS console for the same from my host with same user credentials.
    Thanks, Balaji

    Hi Balaji,
Are you trying to connect to Admin Server or Managed Server.
I am able to connect to the Admin Server from Local as well as Remote. But I fail to connect to the Managed Server (soa_server or osb_server).
Please let me know if anyone managed to setup the managed server from the OEPE.

  • JMS Message Bridge - WLS to MQ

    Hi,
Subsequent to my last posts on Foreign JMS Server setup (where I had to receive a msg from a remote MQ Queue), now I have a requirement to post messages to an remote MQ Queue for a diff application.
As a POC, I configured the JMS Message Bridge with bridge source as my local JMS queue and bridge destination as the Remote MQ Queue and it works fine as expected !!
just have couple of questions on that -
    1. For a long time, I was struggling with this error on server startup
<BEA-190032> << eis/jms/WLSConnectionFactoryJNDINoTX > ResourceAllocationException thrown by resource adapter on call to ManagedConnectionFactory.createManagedConnection(): "javax.resource.ResourceException: Failed to start the connection ">
Then I realized from the server log that the actual reason was authentication failure in MQ Queue Manager :
JMSWMQ2013: The security authentication was not valid that was supplied for QueueManager '' with connection mode 'Client' and host name '77.40.190.130'. Please check if the supplied username and password are correct on the QueueManager you are connecting to AND
    JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2035' ('MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED').
Since this MQ setup is managed by someone else, when they pass on the .binding file after creating queuemanager, queue, etc, Should I also ask them for the username and password for the QM?? I am not sure if this is a part of the .binding file.
    2. Some doubts around the QOS. As I understood, I am using the No-Transaction Adapter. This means I can use QOS as either "Atmost once" or "Duplicate OK". The latter seems to be ok so that I dont lost messages in any case. But I am yet to find out if the other application is ok to handle duplicates.
But is there a restriction/limitation to use "Exactly Once" ?? I noticed that there is also an XA-Transaction Adapter in WLS. Is it not possible to use that with MQ?
    Thanks in advance.
    best regards,
    Murali

In your binding file QCF or XAQCF definition , you will see a Channel field since you are using a client mode to connect to the queue manager. This channel is called a Server Connection Channel [ SVRCONN]. At the queue manager side of things, when this SVRCONN is defined, MQ Admin teams tend to define an attribute called MCAUSER. In this setup the userid used for authorisation at queue manager is the following in the below precedence:
    1. If MCAUSER is defined in the channel, that will be the user id and it overrides any security context sent from client application. This user id should have sufficient permissions to connect to queue manager , get , put. The MQ admin teams on certain platforms will be able to get the exact permission that is missed from the queue manager error logs when a 2035 security exception occurs.
    2. If no MCAUSER is defined then the userid passed in the createConnection JMS call will be the user context used.
I am not exactly sure of the behaviour when no MCAUSER and no user id in createConnection calls, but i think it takes the user of the MQ Listener process which starts the SVRCONN channel instance when a client initiates the connection.
So for your situation, it will be worth start checking with how the MQ side configuration is. This issue tends to be a very common issue with client applns connecting to qmgr.
