WLST - Creating Multiple JNDI Names
Running into an issue while creating multiple JNDI Names using WLST.
The script does create the JNDI Names in the following format:
value1, value2
What I want is:
value1
value2
How do i add a return or next line to the script.
Script Segment:
for ds in dataSourceList:
poolName = props.getProperty('DataSource.' + ds +'.PoolName')
if poolName != None:
if props.getProperty('MultiPool.' + poolName + '.poolList') == None:
targetList = props.getProperty('DataSource.' + ds + '.targets').split(',')
dsJNDIName = props.getProperty('DataSource.' + ds +'.JNDIName')
createSinglePoolDS(poolName, ds, dsJNDIName, targetList)
else:
createMultiPoolDS(ds)
else:
print 'DataSource ' + ds + ' is not configured correctly'
Property:
DataSources=DataSoruce
DataSource.jdbc/catalog.targets=Target
DataSource.jdbc/catalog.JNDIName=Value1,Value2
DataSource.jdbc/catalog.PoolName=Poolname
DataSource.jdbc/catalog.TX=TX
Any help is appreciated.
Senthil,
I changed my weblogic-ejb-jar.xml to have two entries point to one bean:
<weblogic-ejb-jar>
<weblogic-enterprise-bean>
<ejb-name>ejb.MyBean</ejb-name>
<caching-descriptor>
<max-beans-in-free-pool>1000</max-beans-in-free-pool>
</caching-descriptor>
<jndi-name>MyBeanHome1</jndi-name>
</weblogic-enterprise-bean>
<weblogic-enterprise-bean>
<ejb-name>ejb.MyBean</ejb-name>
<caching-descriptor>
<max-beans-in-free-pool>1000</max-beans-in-free-pool>
</caching-descriptor>
<jndi-name>MyBeanHome2</jndi-name>
</weblogic-enterprise-bean>
</weblogic-ejb-jar>
When I call ctx.lookup(), it can find "MyBeanHome2", but not "MyBeanHome1".
Am I doing anything wrong?
Senthil Kumar S wrote:
I think u can do that using EJb references in weblogic.jar.xml file.
U define multiple refs and link it to a single JNDI name

Does anyone know is it possible to have multiple JNDI names mapping to
one instance of object in JNDI tree? For example, when I do JNDI lookup
for the following JNDI names
ejb.mybeanHome1
ejb.mybeanHome2
ejb.mybeanHome
they will all return me an instance of MybeanHome.
Thanks!

Multiple JNDI names for EJB?
If I'm deploying a webapp that references an EJB, do I have to use the same JNDI
name that is configured in the EJB descriptor?
Why can't I reference the EJB using a seperate name (as in some J2EE examples)?
Thanks,
Darrendarren <[email protected]> wrote:
If I use a new JNDI name, rather than the one defined in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml,

Does the JNDI name referenced in weblogic.xml need to be the same as that defined
in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml? No. ejb-ref mechanism allows you to map an actual ejb jndi name to one used by your
application - so, in theory, system administrator can change jndi names without
touching your application code. You do not see it in the global JNDI tree because
this mapping exists only in the context of your application.

How to setup JNDI Name for Oracle Apps adapter?
Hello,
I am learning Oracle SOA 11g and trying to do some tutorial on Oracle Application Adapter. I know how to configure JNDI for DBadapter and I did that successfully. I followed same steps to create New JNDI for Oracle Apps Adapter.
1. I Created new data source using Path Services->Data Sources -> New Genric Data Source. Connection to database was successful and created new JNDI Name: jdbc/PKDTAPPS.
2. Then Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> New and created JNDI Name eis/Apps/PKDTAPPS.
However I did not find newly created JNDI Name in step 2 under Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory.
Please let me know if am I following correct steps to create new Oracle Apps Adapter JNDI Name or not.
Since above approch did not work I created new JNDI for DBAdapter with same database connection details. And then latter on use that JNDI Name while creating Oracle Application Adapter in JDeveloper composite. And it allowed me to access Oracel Apps open interface. However while deploying the application it gave me following error.
<Feb 16, 2015 10:50:59 AM CST> <Error> <oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet> <SOA-21537> <Sending back error message: There was an error deploying the composite on AdminServer: [JCABinding]

Since I have no past experience kindly suggest me what is right way to do this.
Thanks,
ShriHi shri,
Can you check the targets of oracle apps adapter that is it deployed on both cluster and admin server both.

Unable to connect to JNDI name- weblogic 9.2 datasource defined though
I have these parameters done in weblogic 9.2-1. Created a JNDI name

// Establishing db connection
connection = dataSource.getConnection();

Hi I use Jdev 11.1.2.3.0 When I created my EJB project and mapped the tables to entities the persistente.xml file was created and the following code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
<persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_2_0.xsd"
version="2.0">
<persistence-unit name="SILATNEGOCIO">
<provider>org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.PersistenceProvider</provider>
<jta-data-source>java:/app/jdbc/jdbc/ConLubalDS</jta-data-source>
<class>silat.servicios_negocio.entidades.admin.ADRelacionEmpresa</class>
<properties>
<property name="eclipselink.target-server" value="WebLogic_10"/>
<property name="javax.persistence.jtaDataSource" value="java:/app/jdbc/jdbc/ConLubalDS"/>
<property name="eclipselink.cache.shared.default" value="false"/>
</properties>
</persistence-unit>
</persistence>
Line 07 and 11 are the same should I keep them the way it is? Well my problem is that when I create the JNDI Name for the
JDBC Resource
I cannot put java:/app/jdbc/jdbc/ConLubalDS because I get Command create-jdbc-resource failed. Constraints for this JdbcResource configuration have been violated: on property [ ] violation reason [ resource name cannot contain ':' character ]
In many of my stateless session beans I use
@Resource(mappedName = "java:/app/jdbc/jdbc/ConLubalDS")
private DataSource lubalDS;
and If I create a different JDBC resource with a different name I would have to change that code in all of my classes, What should I do?that name was generated from my database connection
Preferably create a datasource JNDI in WLS rather than use the datasource corresponding to a connection. -
DataSource is getting created without desired JNDI Name using ANT task
Hi,
While referring to http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/07/24/datasource-creation-using-ant-task-wlconfig/ when we try to create a DataSource using ANT Task <taskdef name=”wlconfig” classname=”weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLConfig”/>
We are unable to provide the Desired JNDI Name for our DataSource. It takes the DataSource Name itself as the JNDI Name of the DataSource. If we specify anyother JNDI Name then it doesnt reflect in the AdminConsole. But still the DataSource testing succeeds from the AmdinConsole.
Is there anything Missing in the Ant Script?
Thanks
Jay SenSharmaI think the attribute name should be JNDINames instead of JNDIName, this is also the name I always use in WLST (and is probably also used by wlconfig), for example,
videotheekDataSource = cmo.createJDBCSystemResource('VideotheekDataSource');
jdbcResource = videotheekDataSource.getJDBCResource();
names = ['jdbc/exampleDS'];
dataSourceParams = jdbcResource.getJDBCDataSourceParams();
dataSourceParams.setJNDINames(names);
Good luck and keep up the good work. -
Creating CSR with multiple common names in a single CSR
Hello Gurus,
We are configuring SSL for which we were in the process of generating CSR from Oracle HTTP server. But we want to use multiple URL's for a server. For example
domain.example.com will be our primary URL and domain2.example.com would be our secondary URL.
Following are the questions/doubts that I have -
1. Can we mention multiple Common Name [CN] in the single CSR.
2. IF we mention our primary URL in the Common Name field , while generating the certificate can we mention secondary URL in the Subject Alternative Field[SAN]?
3. If we can mention the secondary URL in SAN, will it create Certificate import error while we import the generated certificate in OHS.Any help will be highly appreciated and if that really helps will be marked as helpful/correct.
Thanks
SaurabhHello,
If you are certain then what does this line mean
Please note that in FMW 11g. regardless of how the Wallet is created or the Wallet type used, use of Wildcard Certificates e.g ".domain" are not supported as Oracle deems them insecure.*

When saving a File OS Is Creating Multiple Folders With The Same File Name
Not sure what I changed but, now when I save a any file (ppt. word, Keynote,Pages e.g.,) to the desktop or any other location the OS will also create multiple file folders with the same file name as the file I'm saving. Inside the folders are what appears to be files locating the saved files. What can I do to fix this problem?
I'm using the 10.7.2 version
MacBook ProMisio wrote:
It looks like a finder bug. To replicate, I surf to any website, I right-click on a jpg image, select "Save Image As" and in the window that pops up I type in the filename "000.jpg", I select the folder Pictures, and click on Save.
BTW, I don't know why, but the file was saved only as "000" without the file extension ".jpg". Does anybody know why?
the extension is simply hidden. go to the get info panel for the file and uncheck the option to hide the extension.
Then I surf to another image, and again I save it as "000.jpg" and now it asks me if I want to replace the existing filename, although the existing one is "000" and I try to save as "000.jpg", so I say yes, and then magically the file is saved with the full filename including the extension "000.jpg"
When I did it a couple of times, always saving image as "000.jpg" from various sources, I ended up with two distinct files named "000" and both in the same folder Pictures.
Please advise.
it sounds to me like you saved one file as 000.jpg and the other and 000.jpg.jpg.
check the info panels for the files for full names to verify if this is the case. -
Please HELP!! I just switched to Lion. I have created multiple websites using iWeb 3.0.4 and despite my having saved their 'domain' files in various locations and using different filenames, upon opening the domain files I keep getting the very last site I published. All the sites were published to third party servers. The domain files (still have a preview that look correct and have different file sizes) but keep going back to the last site published. HELP ME PLEASE!! Are the old files still available?!!
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

To create multiple files with same content but with different names
Hi SapAll.
here i have got a tricky situation on Idoc to File Scenario.
in my interface of an Idoc to file ,there is requirement to create multiple files with different file names but with same content based on one Idoc Segment.
which means there will be one Zsegment with two fields in the idoc,where one field with (content refers to the name which file name should start with .so lets say if this segment is repeated for 3 times then PI should create 3 files in the same directory with same content but with different file names (from the filed).
so here for now iam using one reciever file communication channel.
can any body give me the quick answer.
regards.
VarmaWhat do you mean by different names?
when i make proper setting in the Receiver Channel....on how to create the filename (what to append) like add Timestamp, counter, date, messageid.....even in this case you will ahve file with different names and that too from same File channel.
You can perform multi-mapping in XI/ PI and then your File channel will place the files in the target folder with relevant names. You cannot use Dynamic Configuration with Multi-Mapping!
If you intend to use different File channels, then do the configuration as required (normal)...even over here you can follow multi-mapping.
Do not use a BPM!

Creating multiple web sites for separate domain names
Is it possible to create a different web site using a different web address in IWeb 06? A friend asked me to make a web site for them....can/how do I publish it to a different address?
Thanks for the help!Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The best way is to have a separate domain name for each site you want to manage. When you publish the sites each will have a separate URL. It will be:
http://web.mac.com/your .Mac account name/the site folder name/index.html
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

I'm using Netbeans 5.5 with Visual Web Pack with Mysql as backend. Whenever I drag and drop a database table into table component it creates new JNDI (data source) name for each table. I want to use single JNDI name for all tables. If I change the JNDI name to default name then the design disappears and shows error . Is there any option to set the JNDI name unique for all tables?
Thanks in advance.Hi again,
Well I've tried using the MouseListener / MouseMotionListener approach but it doesn't quite seem to work, although it does get the events correctly. I think the reason is that it doesn't interact correctly with the Java DnD machinery which is something that V.V hinted at. It's something that I may need to look into if / when I have more time available.
I have to say though that I haven't had any problems with scrollbars - we're making fairly heavy use of large tables and if you drag over a table with a scroll bar and move to the top or bottom then it scrolls as you would expect and allows you to drop the data where you like. For this situation I've used pretty much the same approach as for the toy example above except that I've implemented separate source and destination TransferHandlers (the source table is read-only, and it really doesn't make sense to allow people to drag from the destination table so I've essentially split the functionality of the example handler down the middle).
I'm not actually particularly in favour of messing too much with the mechanics of DnD, more because of lack of time than anything else. Guess I'll just have to put up with this for the moment. Doesn't help that DnD is so poorly documented by Sun.
Thanks for all your help.
Bart
