Work Manager 6.0 and Agentry WPF Client Versions

A question about versioning of Agentry WPF clients for WM6.0.
WM6.0 came with the WPF client v6.1.3.10200, and did not require a certificate.  SMP 2.3 SP03 has a newer WPF client, v6.1.3.10212, and corrects some issues, but to our surprise seems to require a certificate to connect the Agentry services.
So my question is - if we go ahead and create the self-signed certificate and deploy it to the upgraded WPF clients, with the older version clients still be able to communicate without it?  Are there any other considerations when upgrading between these two clients?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
When you create a certificate you change the certificate the server is using.  This will effect all clients that connect to the server.  I would recommend that you upgrade all clients to SMP 2.3 SP03 PL1.

I've been working on a newsletter and have the final version. But I wanted to check something in a verssion I did last week. If I choose the day in Time Machine, is there any way I can view that document without "restoring" it to replace the final version?

You can drag and drop a file from TM to the desktop.
Let's say your newsletter is on the desktop. First thing to do is to add something to the file name, say Newsletter_1.
Next open TM as if it is just another external drive by double clicking the icon. (This is not the same as "Enter Time Machine" which you do when you want to restore.) The file hierachy in TM follows the same logic as on your hard drive. Navigate to the date you want, find the file you want, and drag and drop it where you want it to be. Because you changed the name of the most recent version you can both files in the same space.
    I do this often.
But remember if you make a back up now you will end up with both versions in TM.

  • Work Manager 6.1 and SMP 3.0 with Agentry new features

    Hi,
I know that Work Manager 6.1 is expected to be released by the end of June but I can't find any information about the product.
Since I'm starting a new project initially thought for Work Manager 6.0 but running in SMP 3.0, I would like to know the list of new features of 6.1 version.
At the same time I would like to know if the use of SMP 3.0 brings to the Agentry applications improvements regarding error handling, logging and administration in general since that was a bit poor in the previous versions.
The only thing I found regarding 6.1 version is this PDF where new functionalities regarding localization of assets in a map are added. I hope there is more than that.
    Thank you for your help.

I guess the following thread answers my questions (except regarding SMP 3.0 logging, administrating and error handling with Agentry): http://scn.sap.com/message/15086739

  • Network logins not working with 10.7 and 10.8 clients

    Hi
I have Snow Leopard Server (10.6.8)  running on a Mac Mini for the past 3 years. The client Macs were all running Snow Leopard and could happily do network logins. I recently upgraded my client Macs to 10.7 and 10.8.Now they cannot login via Network logins. Only via the Other selection. Network logins produces the Error occured dialog box. Once users do a local login, they have access to all server services (file sharing, calendar, messaging, contacts, etc.)
The server is setup as a OD Master with Kerberos. The changeip check is all good. The DNS is working. I have made no changes to the server. Only the clients were upgraded from Snow Leopard.
I have read a lot about similar problems but still haven't solved this problem.
    I hope someone can help.
    Kind regards
    Michael

    Hi all
    I solved this annoying issue
It was an Open Directory issue. If you have upgraded clients to 10.7 or 10.8 from 10.6, the OD Master passwords are incompatible with 10.7 or 10.8.
    The fix is simple.
    1. Stop AFP file shares
    2. Export Users, Groups and Computers from Workgroup Manager then quit the the Workgroup Manager
    3. Demote the OD Master to Standalone
    4. Promote the Standalone OD to a Master OD,
    5. Reimport the Users, Groups and Computers back into Workgroup Manager
    6. Reset all passwords and home folders
    7. Rebind all clients computers
    That's it.
    I hope this helps someone.
    Cheers

  • Synchronization Problems with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5v and Windows Mail Client

BlackBerry (RIM) Desktop Manager 4.5v synchronization setup does not work properly. I cannot synchronize my desktop calendar because the only desktop application formats available are (<None>, Ascii Import/Export and Yahoo), Windows Mail is not an option!
I contacted BlackBerry and the only response I received was that I need the Outlook Express program to synchronize my desktop calendar.
Microsoft upgraded from the Outlook program to Windows mail to provide a better program, which I happen to like! The idea of purchasing the Outlook Express software when there is nothing wrong with my current mail program does not make any sense to me! And will BlackBerry support any Vista system issues if there are any compatibility problems with the old Microsoft mail client?
Has anyone contacted BlackBerry about this issue? Any ideas how to fix this problem?
Why can’t Blackberry (RIM) resolve the synchronization issue? In addition to this problem, you may find that the Desktop Manager Device Switch Wizard does not function with the Treo 650 and BlackBerry 8830 and the Advanced feature in Backup and Restore does not seem to save the any files that you want to restore.
    BlackBerry Please Help!
    Note:
Microsoft Office Standard 2007 is $399, really expensive! Not sure if you can purchase the mail client separately.
    - Microsoft website: [“Outlook Express has been replaced by Windows Mail, an improved e‑mail program with enhancements such as junk e‑mail filtering and protection against phishing messages.”]

    Hello My8830
You can only synchronize contacts with Windows Mail - you can not synchronize calendar, memos, or tasks.  Outlook express does not have these items, and the version of Windows Mail that I am running also does not have them.  Windows Calendar is seperate from windows mail on my version of Vista.
So to clarify it all, downgrading to Outlook Express will still not get you calendar synchronization as it does not have a calendar.

  • How iTunes works managing multiple iPhones and iTunes with same account

My wife and I each have our own computers using the same iTunes and Amazon account.  I want to know how the download rules work...
    For apps
    For music
    For books
I know that Kindle books appear on both.
I know that you can share music between 5 (?) different devices.  Can't remember how that is done right now...
It appears that an app bought on one computer or iPhone must be paid for again on the other.  True?
Where is the best place on the Apple site to see answers to these types of questions?

Your iTunes account can be authorised on up to 5 computers at any one time (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420). You can also use home sharing so as to share your content between computers or to listen/watch content on your iOS devices : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819 (you can also copy music between computers via home sharing)
As long as you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy/download them then you don't have to pay to re-download (or download on different computers/devices) past purchases of apps or ibooks (or music if you are in the USA) as long as they are still available in the store : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
You can also manually copy music/apps/ibooks/films/tv shows between computers and then do File > Add File To Library (or Add Fold) in iTunes so as to add them.

  • Why my internet banking application works in Firefox 21 and 22 in Win version but not in Mac version? There is also no issue for Firefox 20 or earlier in Mac.

There is a workaround. When I use private window, my internet banking application can work as per normal. This is unlike in the past where it can work in normal window in Firefox 20 or earlier in Mac.

Private windows do not have your site-specific history of cached files and cookies. So, you could try this in a normal window:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r (MAC: Command+Shift+r) to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
(WIN) orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced<br>
(MAC) Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Work Manager 6.0

    Hi All,
We are implementing the SAP Work Manager 6.0 for one of our clients. The device on which the application to be deployed is Windows Screen Size
(1024 * 768 ).The server is up and running and when I try to test the application on ATE by selecting the platform  Windows 1024*768,The application is not looking as it is expected to be.
From my investigation I found that the SAP Work Manager 6.0 has no platforms and screens for Windows 1024*768.
I could see platforms as Ipads, Iphones for most of the screensets and PPC for some of the screensets.
So to deploy SAP Work Manager 6.0, do I need to create all the screen sets for Windows and Android Devices?
One solution which I could find was that I added platform as Windows 1024*768 and added the same Ipad screen and it was working fine for some of the screens .
Please help me find a solution .
    Regards,
    Deepak.M

    Deepak,
At this point I would highly recommend implementing Work Manager 6.1 instead of 6.0.  As you noticed with Work Manager 6.x the Windows platforms were removed as Work Manager is now using the WPF client for the Windows (Win 7/8) devices.
The advantage of this is that iPad, Android tablets, and WPF all use the same screens from the application definitions.  There are style/image differences that help control the look and feel on the different platforms.
Also in Work Manager 6.1 the did make changes to better support lower resolution Windows devices which would also be a reason to upgrade.
Either way the ATE will not render the screens well for the WPF stuff.  You should test screen layouts and looks by using the actual clients (WPF, Andorid, iOS) and rely on the ATE to confirm Object data, CT/DT data and some rule/action debugging.

  • Issue working with WPF client v6.1.0.3 for SAP Service Manager 4.0

    Hi All,
This issue is similar to an on - going discussion -  http://scn.sap.com/thread/3508608
    Issue Description :
    1. We installed WPF client 6.1.03 for SAP Service Manager 4.0 using SMP 2.3 SP00. We got the below error
    2.  To solve this error we followed the forum - http://scn.sap.com/thread/3465106 and installed the certificate following the link for installing the self signed certificate from Sybase infocenter.
    3. We came to know that this is due to the SMP version. hence as suggested by SAP we upgraded the server to SMP 2.3 SP03
    4. We tried to connect the WPF client and again got the error "Communication error 14"
    My Question is
    1. After the server upgrade from SP2.3 SP03 , do I still need to generate a certificate again ? Is yes Please guide me the steps/document to do this step
    2. Is there any document which mentions how exactly we use the WPF client, the configuration  to connect the SAP backend and download the Syclo Service Manager 4.0 application without any issue
    Please guide
    Thanks
    Neha

    HI Steve,
I tested with the WPF client 6.1.3.X.
I was getting a different error with the host name "Connect to server  myhostname certificate is for myhostname:domain name this is not valid. Commnication error(14)
However I got the solution in one of the link where they mention to provide the complete fully qualified domain name in the server ie myhostname:domain .
This has solved the issue and the WPF client is up and running.
    Thanks for the help

  • Pool/Crew Management custom development in Work Manager 6.0

    Hi All;
I'm new in the Agentry space, please bear with me. I'm working on a development of bringing in a crew/pool management screen into work manager 6.0. So this functionality should work in the such a way that the user clicks on the screen/tab "Pool Management" and within this screen would be a list of employees within a particular work centre. The user would then be able to tick, which employees he/she would be taking out for an inspection. I've been trying to get a feel or sense of direction of how I would go about with this development within Work Manager 6.0, with no success. Please kindly assist in terms of how I would go about with such a development or maybe if there is a resource that I could refer to, to guide me in bringing the employees onto this screen per work centre and enable the user to tick the relevant employees from the list, individually.
I see that Work Manager already has a table "ctPersonResp" which contains all the employees, But I would like to enable the app user to select/filter employees to select from based on different work centres. How would I display all employees in a given work centre? Also how would I bring about a functionality of being able to choose/select/tick individual users within that work centre? I would greatly appreciate any help/direction in terms of getting this development started.
I'm using SMP 2.3 SP03 with Agentry 6.1.4.179 and am using Agentry WPF client as the testing client.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards;
    Sizo Ndlovu

    Hi Jason;
You're right, it is a bit confusing when u're getting started, lets hope I get there soon. I think I have pretty much tried to follow as per your guideline of creating the WorkCentre field and the related indexes. I have also gone to create the screen that gets called within the Pool Management screen tab, but somehow, I am not seeing any selection dropdown when I test on the device. Please see the below screenshots for what I have done and kindly guide me as to where I could be going wrong.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Adding a new screen on SAP Work Manager 6.0

    Hi All;
I'm working on customising the SAP Work Manager 6.0 application. One of the things that I have to do is add a new screen "Pool Management". I have been trying to achieve this via the Agentry Editor 3.7.2 with no luck. So the first thing that I did was to copy an existing screen, for example the TimesheetView screen set, hoping that there would be a duplicate screen similar to this, but this doesn't seem to be adding the duplicate screen when I test via the Agentry WPF client. Please kindly advise how I would go ahead with a requirement like this. Please see image below for the screen addition that I am working on. I would really appreciate your help in going about with this!
    Much appreciated!
    Sizo Ndlovu

    Sizo,
Steve is correct.  Examine the main screenset.  Choose the platform, then copy an existing screen or add a new one.  Modify it as needed.  It will now display as a new tab on the client.

  • SAP Work Manager 6.1 deployment on SMP

    Hi
I am facing this issue while publishing the Agentry app in SMP. I am not getting the successful message after browsing the Zip file as mentioned in the Step 8 according to this blog SMP 3.0: Custom development of SAP Work Manager 6.1 on Agentry Server.  Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Sarika

    Hi Sarika
Is this still an issue ?
I am thinking that this could be a permission issue. Do you have local Admin permissions on your PC ?
I remember I had some issues, and changed the service "SAPSMP3Service" to use "Local System Account".
I can't remember the details though.

  • How to configure the work manager java code to eclipse?

    Hello all,
I am working with the syclo work manager app. I have successfully installed all components required.
I imported the work manager mobile application and I want to import the standard work manager java code, what is the process to import java code into work space.
Guide me with some screen shots.
When I try to start the WM server it is giving me the following error:
    How to resolve the error.
Please anyone provide me complete setup needed to run the work manager app smoothly.
    Please guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Swaroopa.

    Swaroopa,
That error is telling you the SAP JCo library cannot find one of the needed DLLs on the system.  The sapjco.jar loads two additional DLL files (sapjcorfc.dll and librfc32.dll).  Both should be installed by default into your ServerDev directory (assuming you are running Agentry 6.0.x).
I would guess it is having trouble loading the librfc32.dll based on the message but confirm both are in the correct location.

  • Agentry - WPF Background Image

I am using the Agentry WPF client v7 with SMP3.  I am also using the Agentry editor v7 to develop the application.  I am trying to add a background image to a detail screen for the WPF client.  I have targeted the Windows 1024x768 platform and selected the appropriate background image.  The screen appears correctly in the screen preview in the Agentry editor.  However, when I run the app in the Agentry WPF client the background shows up as all white and the background image does not display.  Can anyone think of what I could be doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, it is just that the WPF client does not yet support background images.  That feature just hasn't been implemented yet on the WPF client.
    Sorry,
