Workbook-urgent

Hi all;
I need to give group title for some columns. I have 10 columns (Key figures) in my queries the users want to have additional heading which will group 10 columns into 2 column and under each five key figures will be group.

curr
total
astin
network
The second line I have already populated in my reports, but I need to add the rows with two columns heading.. I tried to do it from templete but didn't work. Also,,I found a OSS note to make the columns width same but didn't find it for this one..If some one can give me the coding if I need to do it in VBA..or any other options please let help me. I will reward the points for the answers.

Hi Nitik,
You can run the query and save it as a workbook.
then make the necessary changes to merge the cells and group them and then with proper settings in workbook preperties it should work.
I had the same issue and it worked for me without any coding.

    Hi,
    I have a workbook containing 2 queries. No modifications have been made to the queries and they used to run fine.
    Recently when I refresh the workbook I get the following error in the SAP Error messagebox:

    Note that no modifications have been done to the query. I have 2 variables for input, Fiscal year period and the Version (Plan, Q1, Q2 etc).

    In the key figure properties, there is a property called 'Constant selection'.  Uncheck this box, resave and try again.

  • Views in Workbook - Urgent.

    Hi,
    Could any one of you please help me in resolving below issue?
    When the users open the reports in the production environment and try to create and save the VIEWS by clicking on "save view as jump target",they should not be able to do so..i.e. access is restricted(Message should be displayed that authorization is restricted.
    But when the users save the same workbook by clicking "SAVE AS new workbook" in FAVORITES section of BEX and now they should be able to create the VIEWS by clicking "Save views as jump target"..ie the authorization should be enabled for the users to create the VIEWS in Favorites section of BEX but not in the production environment.
    Please do let me know if it can be done like this as this requirement needs to be implemented at the earliest.

    I believe that 
    You neeed to use authorization object S_USER_AGR, and give activity 03 to the role you want to protect for end users.
    A key user allowed to modify workbooks on that role should have an * on activity.
    Also make sure that all your users have these authorization objects with these values:
    S_BDS_D Activity 03
    S_BDS_DS Activity 01, 02, 03, 30
    OT
    S_USER_TCD *
    If this doesn't help you let me know, or if you have found a better solution.

  • How To Publish Workbook in EP????URGENT!!!!!!

    Hello Gurus,
                   I have 6 queries in one workbook(all queries in the same sheet) and I want to publish this workbook in EP using WEB Applications or some other way.How can I do this?I never worked on publishing workbook in EP..
    and the user wants to see all the queries in the workbook as a web report, instead of excel report.
    Please it is very URGENT!!
    Any help appreciated with points.

    Hi pnk,
    It is not possible to publish a workbook the way you want in the portal, as workbooks are based on Excel. You can however execute the report in the BEx Analyzer or use precalculation and afterwards save this in the knowledge management database of the portal and access it in this way. This does however require that the you have BEx Analyzer installed on the frontend, as it will not open the workbook in the internet browser.

    The question relates much more to analysing queries.
    BEx Designer and WAD are for designing queries,output of which can be seen in BEx AnalyserWorkbook. These are used for analysing the data with some test data entered by user.
    But if we want them to be seen as a portal iview report we need to use BEx WebApplication Designer iview as we generally user for WAD n BEx.
    Use the Version of the BEx Appl as BW or BI and then give  propeties like system name,BEx Query,Appl parameters.
    We need to see tht these queries in the same compatible format as with portal.
    Please note "BExquery" must be the one which generates your reports.
    I am not sure whether i could answer you but hope my idea is clear.

  • Urgent!! Sum function for subtotals.,Exporting BA does not list Workbooks

    Hi,
    I m facing this issue when calculating subtotals in the report. When i use the sum function, the subtotals are not getting displayed. I tried usin the Cell Sum Distinct function and it sums up only if the amounts are different. For example when i have two amounts of 5.00 each, it sums as 5.00 only in the subtotal. Can anyone help me resolve this?
    Also, i m facing one more issue. When i export the BA, the user wants the list of workbooks under that that would be exported. (The list is shown when exporting the EUL as such), but the list is just blank in BA export. Is this a set up issue?

    Hi,
    Not all calculations can be summed correctly by Discoverer. What is the calculation that you are trying to sum?
    The workbooks are not tied to a BA as the folders used in a workbook may be in many different BAs. Therefore the workbooks are not exported with a business area. The workbooks must be exported separately.

    I need help. I have in a HTML page one Tag href were I put all the way to get the workbook that I have in my PC ( I saved the discover workbook to my machine). When I execute this page in Internet Explorer this link does not work. It doesn't give me anything. But if I run this page in Avant Browser it works perfectly.

    Coul you tell how to link the same workbook to two different roles.
    I am assigning the same workbook to two different roles, but in the second role the workbook is displaying with different structure than in the first role. I want the workbook should be displayed with same structure in both the roles.

    Both the roles should diplay the same layout for a single workbook.
    please ensure that both the users(with these 2 roles) have similar (all the other)authorisations.
    it's possible that one of the users may have further restrictions in authorisations. check out for z-authorisation objects if any.

  • Delete workbooks in Discoverer 10.2 - URGENT

    Hey
    I need help with a problem I am facing.
    In our upgrade from 9.2 on an old server to 10.2 on a new server, I exported all the Workbooks that existed i the old server. They were made by different users. And as you know, it is only the owner of the Workbookt that can delete it.
    My quistion is :
    - Is it posible to create a new "super"-user that can delete any Workbook it may want to, even though "super"-user is not it original owner?
    - Is it posible - on a way or other - to delete a Workbook I want, even thougt I am not the original owner?
    I should mention that I tried to create a user who got admin-priviliges but it did'nt help. I could't delete a Workbook that this user did'nt make.

    I don't think the superuser notion is an option (and if I am wrong, I am sure I will be corrected).
    You could always start deleting rows from the EUL5_DOCUMENTS table (but it is not recommended, and could invalidate your support contract).
    Are the users still active? If so, you could try an approach where you tell them they have to get rid of X reports by a certain date. If they haven't, remove their privs to create a report until they comply.
    If they are not active, recreate the account (or have the dba change the password and allow you to log on), and either transfer the report, or delete them.

  • Workbook jump and refresh (URGENT)

    Dear all
    I have a button in my workbook and I have 3 queries in it, when i hit the button which i have created, i need all the queries in workbook to be refreshed one by one, I am not familiar with VB. Could you please assist me with the code for a macro.
    I also need to jump to a different workbook (Query) by right click on a cell and the value of that cell is a input variable to the target query. I am sure i can use RRI if its from query to query. but i need VB code which picks the value from the cell and sends it to target query which is also in a workbook.

  • URGENT: How to obtain workbook id and worksheet id

    Please let me know in which EUL tables workbook id and worksheet id of report is stored in discoverer.

    Workbook id is stored in EULx_DOCUMENTS as DOC_ID.
    but unfortunately you can't get the worksheet id as the whole workbook is stored as a single object (long raw) in this table.

  • Saved workbooks (very urgent)

    hello
    some users have saved some discoverer reports related to their organization roles and responsibilities and now that their roles have changed the should not have access to these reports any more.
    but still they can run these reports from their computers and have access to information they shouldn't.
    i want to know:
    1-if wrokbooks which are saved on workstations after the reports is not shared for them any more,could they view new information retrived from database?i mean online information?
    2- how can we stop them accessing illegal information while the workbook is saved on their WS?

    what do you mean by " remove access to the folders that the workbooks need to run"?UsieDisco Administrator to change the security on the Business Areas which hold the folders so that the user/responsibility does not have access to the business areas.
    what do you mean by "implement data security in the EUL or on underlying views/tablesImplement conditions in the EUL or in database views or using VPD. These condition check the user or responsibility and only return data in the user has logged with the right roles/responsibilities. For example, if you are using Oracle Applications you could create using Disco Admin the mandatory condtion on a folder such as, fnd_global.resp_name IN ('System Administrator') then the folder would only return data for a user who had logged on with the System Administrator responsibility.
    first we need to disable the possibility if saving workbooks on workstations for end users,(if possible)No you don't (not possible anyway). You need to implement security in your EUL.
    secondly we need to avoid users who are not allowed to run some reports they'v saved on their pc before,from running these reportsNo you don't (not possible anyway). You need to implement data security, so it doesn't matter what workbooks users run, they will only be able to see the data they are allowed to see. Discoverer is an ad-hoc reporting tool, so the whole point of Discoverer and the EUL is that the users can run reports against any folder they can access.

  • Running workbook from .bat fails to start application missing CORE40 dll

    I have been running several workbook via windows task scheduler / vbscript &/or bat files.
    I now have a new box which I access thru Remote Desktop Connection, so I can run all these automated updates without having my screen blinking everytime a shedule workbook starts.
    If I click on the actual Discoverer icon, or the discoverer workbook shortuct, all works well.
    If I click on the .bat file, or try to run the workbook via the cmd , it gives me the following error:
    DIS4USR.EXE – Unable To Locate Component
    “this application has failed to start because CORE40.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”
    The dll is under c/orant/bin/core40.dll, which is where I've read it should be, and it works fine in my regular box...
    Please help! URGENT :)

    Check the PATH environment variables for the machine you are on and the one you are connecting to.
    You might not have Discoverer's objects in the PATH.
    Another possibility is that you have more than one piece of ORACLE software on the machine and you may need to also set the ORACLE_HOME within the BAT file.

    Here I solve my problem. 
    RUN>REGEDIT>  and look for "Office.Interop.Excel" and delete the old version. I am using Excel 2007, 14.0.

  • How to remove connect and workbook link after pressing Save as,Print,Export

    I have to remove the connect link and workbook link which appear AFTER pressing Save as,Printable Page,Export in a discoverer viewer report. I had already removed the link in the report itself with changing the uix files, but after pushing the link for export, save as or print the link Connect and Workbook still appear.
    I know that I have to change something in UIX Files, but which one and what I have to change...? Have anyone an idea? Thanx for fast reply, it´s a urgent problem.

    If the tone really is a single (or at least narrow band) frequency like the picture shows, I'd try the Notch Filter on the Audition/Effects/Filter and EQ menu.  It might take some playing around to get the exact frequency and tweak the amount of cut you apply vs. the effect it will have on surrounding frequencies--but if you can get the right balance, you can then easily apply this to the whole of every file.
    Sorry, can't help on the Premiere Pro question since I only use Audition.
